  1. Yes. http://nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html I haven't tried it, so post here how well it works.
  2. Those are really good. Usually a lot of dark themes are made poorly and don't come out well, but that one looks very good. I like the logo at the top, and the font used in the body. Are you using Y2k Neophte? Because it looks like that is the font. Great job by the way!
  3. Great for shortcuts, and a good resource to have. Photoshop runs slow on my computer, so if I have this nearby I can know what I'm doing before I start, instead of fooling around trying to find stuff and having my computer crash. I think I'll print it out
  4. All that Remains is a metalcore band from Mass. I decided to make a fansite for them since they are a great band, and there are no fansites for them out yet. The site that I made so far is just a forum, but I may expand it to a CMS and fansite if enough people join it. The theme that I am using is one of the best (if not the best) dark theme for SMF. The logo is getting changed so that the back blends in more with the background. Any comments (and even negativity) is appreciated, as the site is very slow right now. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  5. You can convert them online using various sites such as vixy or media-convert. There are also some programs that you can use to download programs that will convert the files.
  6. Open the videos in iTunes, and once they are in, drag them to your device. Remember they do have to be in certain formats to work properly, it depends on your player.
  7. VLC can't play them on my computer, but it may be because I have an older version of VLC. For vob files, I would just suggest burning them to a DVD and watching them on a TV. They take up tons of space, and I'm sure they eat up RAM too.
  8. I'm not sure if you can set a password for the entire drive, but I know you can put it on folders. In windows I would guess this would be in properties, but I'm not completely sure since I run a mac. On a mac you would set it in the get info menu.
  9. Yeah, but the only thing about his old tapes is that it won't have anything current on it. Like if they send out the old tapes and he's been dead for 3 years, he will be talking to Bush, and can't possibly have a clue that Obama is our president.
  10. Assuming these songs don't have copyrights...Also most songs on Limewire are in mp3 or another compatible format, really no reason to convert.
  11. Is this really news?? There have been theroies about Osama being dead since around 2003. There haven't been many new videos in the past year, and I'm sure he would have commented on the election. I hope he is alive though, so that he can stand trial and be convicted of 4,000+ first degree murders (Osama was responsible for more than 9/11 if you didn't know.
  12. I think the PSP is fine the way it is. It isn't meant to run third party software, so if you run third party software, you could really screw things up. If you ran to run homebrew apps, use an iPod Touch. There is much less of a chance of the iPod being bricked.
  13. I have been working with my iPod Touch, and here is a guide on the iPod Touch. Getting Started "Which iPod to get?" is a question that many people ask. I would say stay with the Second Generation iPods now, unless you don't have a lot of money. The Second Generation iPod has the ability to have a microphone added to it, and has an external speaker, which is nice to have. The only downfall to the Second Generation iPod Touch, is that it cannot be charged with a firewire cable. Unless you have a firewire cable, this doesn't apply to you, but I have one. The iPod Touch OS takes about 1.5GB of space, so keep that in mind when you are buying an iPod Touch. 16GB really means about 14.5GB. Unless you have a lot of music and movies, an 8GB or 16GB should suit you fine. When you are buying an iPod Touch, look around for the best deal. Walmart usually has iPods for less than the regular price, and once in a while Target runs a promo. If you have an old iPod, buy your iPod Touch at the Apple Store, and they will give you a 10% discount when you turn in the old iPod. If you go to college or work as a teacher, or work for the government, buy the iPod online. You will get a small discount (about $10). Otherwise, I would highly suggest buying refurbished. The iPod gets new cover and a new battery, so it is just like new. When you choose shipping, always choose the free shipping. I got my iPod in two days (from China to New York) using the "five day" shipping. Getting the iPod and Starting it up When you get the iPod, plug it into your computer using the USB cord. On a Windows computer, the iPod will install in a few seconds, and it will be ready for use right then. If you want to add music, open up iTunes, and drag music onto the iPod icon. If you want to add video, you have to make sure it is in .mp4, .m4v, or .mov format. It will not work if it isn't in one of those formats. If you need a good converter, go to http://applian.com/windows/?utm_source=vixy.net&utm_medium=redirect . The site is one of the best video converters out there. Apps and other things One of the best features on the iPod Touch is the App Store. The App Store has thousands of Apps, ranging from Games to Maps. One of the best Apps out there (ironically it is used to get other Apps) is AppMiner. This App shows you the newest Apps to be put online, and ones that have been on sale. This is a great way to get Apps for cheaper or even free. Another good App (especially if you like classic rock music) is Wolfgang's Concert Vault. This App has tons of old concerts dating back to the 1960's, available for streaming. If you like Guitar Hero, Tap Tap Revenge is for you. It is a great free App, and you can download tracks and play online. A great tip for Apps, is that if you are looking for something, look hard. Usually there is a free version of something that you are looking for. AppMiner is great for this too. Note: In order to download Apps, you MUST have an iTunes account. You can create an iTunes account on the iTunes music store. You don't need a credit card to open an iTunes account, but if you want to buy Apps and you don't have a gift card, you must put in your credit card. For optimization of the iPod Touch's battery, turn down the brightness of the screen in "Settings". It can really help, and usually you don't need a very bright back light. The best tip to optimize your battery's life is to turn off WiFi when you aren't using it. The iPod consistently looks for a WiFi connection, and this will drain your battery VERY fast. Also turning off the display when you are listening to music (even though this is done automatically) helps save the battery. This can be done by pushing the button at the top of the iPod Touch. If you have any questions, or if you have any comments, post them here. Hopes this helps a lot of people out!
  14. I like GMail the best out of all the free mail hosts. They have nearly unlimited space, and there is only a small text ad at the top of the page. Yahoo is good if you get a lot of emails and you get a lot of attachments. I find yahoo mail easier to search, and there IS unlimited space there. I never really used hotmail, so I can't really say much about it.
  15. At one point I had a Geocities account, but I found that yahoo's system isn't really good for advanced web designers. Even though it is free, the limits were very low, and I was suprised that yahoo didn't put ads on Geocities accounts. This move may be bad for people who are just starting to understand the web, and want to build a simple website, because web hosting would be too advanced for them. Even so, I think that Lycos still has their free website service, and I know that Angelfire still does, even though their sites are infested with ads. If I were first creating a website, I would actually go with freewebs.com. They have a great site builder, and last time I checked there was no bandwidth limit.
  16. The reason why I was asking this was because I heard about how v2 worked and was wondering if it was the same in v3. In my honest opinion, I think that as you get more posts it should be slightly easier to earn hosting, but that may encourage spam. I always try to make my posts detailed, but sometimes only a simple one liner is needed.
  17. So if I do a bunch of short posts, I won't get a lot of mycents? That would make sense. Thanks for the information.
  18. Recently I have seen that it has slowly become harder and harder for me to earn mycents. As my post count goes up, does it become harder to earn mycents? Or is it the same rate all the way through. I looked for an answer for this before, but couldn't find one.
  19. Also another small note. If you have a favicon in a subdirectory, it will be used for all pages in that directory.
  20. I personally don't like either of those designs, and think that the only reasons those sites got big was because they were so unique. As for what I think has the best design...I don't have a favorite. There are many that I like a lot such as http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ , but no clear favorite.
  21. I would suggest Dreamweaver. It is not free, but it is very powerful and you can do a lot on it! If you aren't good with coding I would suggest going with a Content Management System. I am using e107 now, but Joomla and Drupal are also CMS'. I wouldn't suggest going with flash, as Search Engines can't index flash sites very well.
  22. I highly suggest going with with media-convert.com. They can convert almost any file, and the results are great. The only thing I wouldn't suggest converting on it is videos. Audio and anything else is fine, but some videos don't come out so well after conversion.
  23. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/It is still in Beta, so it won't be on the Mod site. You may have to be logged in to download it. Yes there is an ad Mod. Search for "jerm" on the md site and you will find it. A question though. Did you choose RC1 or 1.1.8? You are right, a lot of the skins are terrible, but if you look, you will find some great ones. Most of Runic's, and Crip's themes are very good looking. Two of the skins that start with "XD" are very professional, and are better looking than most other themes, even for other softwares.
  24. But the Pirate Bay is still legal. That is why it hasn't been taken down. Sweden's laws are different than most other country's laws.
  25. You will eanr points anywhere where there is a post count. If a forum says [No Post Count] then you won't earn anything there.
