YOu are correct, that is how to get torrents working, but the poster was asking how do they work. I think that torrents are great ways of conserving bandwidth and giving higher download speeds.

I agree the it is very unfortunate that these people died, and I don't think that they should have died. But this flu is relatively mild compared to tons of other diseases that aren't reported on the news. The liberal media tends to exaggerate these stories to make them much worse than they really are (I don't mean to go out on a tangent, but a lot of the media is pointing this "financial meltdown" on the Bush administration when in the >200 days Obama has been in office he has spent more money than all the other Presidents COMBINED. I suggest hosting your own forum with SMF. It is the most secure forum software out there (security threats take less than 3 weeks to solve compared to months for phpBB) and themes and modifications take seconds to install. It is free and will always be free (unlike IPB, which decided to charge).

Another person for the affiliate idea. I think that if you run a hosting company you should own the physical server, seeing as not owning it has closed down a bunch of hosting providers. The only bad thing about owning your server is power outages, and the bandwidth. Oh, and the actual cost of the server, which is a bit expensive.

You are overdoing it with that much space/hard drives. What takes up so much space? I could easily get away with just a 100GB or even a 80GB HDD. And why two monitors? The only use I can see for them is for gaming.To tell you the truth this seems to be a showoff thread, but that's just my opinion.

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but everything is automatic. All you have to do is post and make sure that you have enough money in your hosting account for the balance to be paid. When it gets to around that time, the balance is paid automatically.

You are correct, in my opinion. Government needs to have some control, to make sure that companies aren't purposely raising prices (*cough Exxonmobil) and to make sure that they don't make a monopoly (which is hand in hand with the price manipulation). But when it comes to the government making decisions for you about what you buy, I think that is way too much government control.

PHPmotion is a good script to use for something like this. It does all the work for you, but I haven't tested it out. From what I've heard, it is great.
