I have downloaded torrents before that have lower quality of mp3s. Often when I rip right from a CD, the files are too big for me to have more than 20 albums on my iPod, so I get a lower quality from torrents. It would probably be perfectly legal, as long as you own the original media. I even think that you are allowed to get a backup if the disk is damaged or scratched, but I'm not completely sure.

Good point. And even the cracks aren't illegal, unless they are used.

How Can I Realize Nulled Ipb And Vb ?
TheDisturbedOne replied to ProtoMan's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Some of the nulled scrips might have a line hidden to guests and users saying "Nulled by ____". If you have FireBug, you might be able to see it in the HTML. -
I have a wordpress blog, and as far as I know, it doesn't use a lot of resources. Of course it might be different for you, as I blog once a week at the most.

Torrents ARE legal. In fact, the charges that the Swedish government made up to prosicute the owners of the Pirate Bay was along the lines of "Aiding Copyright infringement".Torrents are completely legal, and if you look around, there are tons of legal torrents. The only thing that really sucks about torrents is if you find an old torrent and nobody seeds it.

Available Iphone Os 3.0 Apple iPhone
TheDisturbedOne replied to donneo's topic in Science and Technology
You are right, but I'm pretty sure that the money from the contract doesn't go to apple. The plans for the iPhone cost as much as the other plans, so Apple doesn't make money on that. However, Apple makes a TON of money off the cost of the iPhone, which compensates for the cost of the new OS. -
Are Torrent Files Allowed?
TheDisturbedOne replied to TheDisturbedOne's topic in Web Hosting Support
Thanks for the answer, rvalkass. I will contact support sometime this week. I also have to look into the tracker addon, to make sure it doesn't use up CPU usage and BW like crazy. And glad to know some people here know that torrents can be perfectly legal! I'll post with the results when I get them. -
Are Torrent Files Allowed?
TheDisturbedOne replied to TheDisturbedOne's topic in Web Hosting Support
Amen.Torrents are not only faster than HTTP, but uses less bandwidth. And with the mentality that some were expressing here, if I were to make a backup to my hard drive into a torrent file, seed the torrent, and access it on another computer that has more hard drive space, it would be illegal. To tell you the truth, I may just do that now, to free up some space and save some time -
Are Torrent Files Allowed?
TheDisturbedOne replied to TheDisturbedOne's topic in Web Hosting Support
Often I wonder if people know how to read these days.*I am using torrents for legal means only*Torrents are NOT warez.*Torrent files contain no files, but instead a perfectly legal hash code. The only reason why I am using torrents for this means is because I have some live shows in HD/High Quality, and the file size is well over 2GB, which would be a pain to keep uploading to Rapidshare. Please, if you don't know what you are talking about, or haven't read my original post, don't reply. Thanks -
I read the Xisto Forum Rules and Xisto Readme, and it says nothing there specifically about torrents, but it did say no MP3s. I plan to launch a section of my site that has torrents on it of live Disturbed shows. All torrents will be personally checked by me, that they don't include any official releases that are copyrighted. Will it be ok for me to have torrent files of live shows that aren't copyrighted (that are in mp3, mp4, mpg, mkv or avi format)? An example would be a person going to a concert and bringing a recording device and recording the concert. The legality of bringing the recording device could be questioned, but the actual recordings aren't illegal, unless the person who made it copyrighted it.Kornspace.com is another site that does this, as another example. If this is not allowed, will it be ok if I were to link myself to the torrents remotely hosted on a site such as The Pirate Bay?Thanks

What exactly do you mean "all the latest features"? SMF has "all the latest features" as well, support for multiple types of databases, WYSIWIG, RSS, Paid Subscriptions, etc.All forum softwares (at least all the big ones) are "customizable". It really just matters the extent of which it can be customized, and how easy it is to do so.I think you might want to look at all the options, and test some out before you decide which to use.

Yes the seeder has to have the exact same copy.I believe the client has to match the hash (the .torrent file). And kasperooney is completely correct. Most people think that all torrents are illegal, which is an overstatement. Linux is a big name that is out on torrent, and there are some movies that are released exclusively on torrents. Not to mention Nine Inch Nails released a full album high quality on torrents. And a bunch of live show bootlegs get traded via torrents, which is completely legal (filming them however is illegal in some places).

rpgsearcherz, what makes you say that Simple Machines Forum doesn't have a lot of features? The 2.0 version of SMF has many features that aren't default in any other software. Such as Karma and Paid Subscriptions. SMF has a great modification manager, which most of the time makes it so that when installing MODs, you don't have to touch the code, even when you have custom themes. PhpBB makes you manually edit EVERYTHING, which can take a lot of time, especially with more advanced MODs.SMF has some pretty crappy themes, and a ton of them are just minor changes to the default theme. However themes from tinyportal and DzinerStudio are really good, and I use them. DzinerStudio has a theme club, which allows you access to all the paid themes, and support for them. The only thing that doesn't come default with SMF that should is SEO URLs. The URLs end with either index.php?topic=x or /topic,x.html, which isn't that good for SEO. There is a package that you can run that changes the URLs to /general-discussion/random-topic/, though there are a few bugs in it.phpBB, I would stay far away from, as there are major holes in it that never get patched. vB I would give a try, but it is paid, and it doesn't seem very user friendly to me. Many MODs and Themes for vB are paid, so expect to be paying $250+ for the license, MODs and custom theme. I must say that the (default) layout of vBulletin is by far the best out there, but the default theme is terrible. I use a ported vB skin for my SMF, and the layout looks perfect (at least to me).MyBB, I have only been a user on, never an admin. But still it seems very basic to me, and all MyBBs look the same to me, as there aren't that many themes that I have seen that are "advanced".

And they make iPod owners pay, but give it for free to iPhone users, when it is the same thing. -
How Do I Make My Forums Successful?
TheDisturbedOne replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
And once you do ask for samples, start with small companies who you've already used their products before. Tell them that you are happy about their product, and would like to test a new product so that you can spread the word around about how great they are. You could also talk the friends/family about the product if they own it, and base the review as if you owned it. I would suggest doing away with http://pcdynasty.com/forums/images/bg.png, as it doesn't make your site look professional. -
Ipod Not Working, Need Help
TheDisturbedOne replied to lacking_imagination's topic in Science and Technology
Call Apple! Many of the times, they will replace it for free. If they can't go to iresq.com and they have replacement parts (but they are a bit expensive). Why would you throw away an iPod? They are easily fixed or replaced, and if it is REALLY dead, recycle it and get 10% off a new iPod. No need to have more mercury contaminating our children's and grandchildren's water then there already will be.All iPods (at least since the second generation) are made in China, so there is no difference between an Apple iPod and a Chinese iPod. If you are talking about the rip-offs that aren't really iPods, I know what you are talking about. -
I like the 16GB internal memory, but why is there no UMD drive? Sony thought that it was going to be similar to the "disk of the future", but slowly and slowly the format faded. It's nice that you can download games on it as well, similar to the app store with iPods.I think that Sony should do a complete redesign, and make a completely new PSP instead of coming out with newer models every 2 years. The PSP2000 was a complete waste if you ask me.

Nintendo 64 Or Playstation 1...what Was It The Best?
TheDisturbedOne replied to fermin25's topic in Computer Gaming
I like the Playstation 1 better, because it had a lot more games, and a lot better games. Nintendo has all the Nintendo games, but it doesn't have many third party games. Many times, the third party games are better than the games that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo put out. -
Band Hero? What are the songs in that game? They have to get some better songs in the Rock Band games, the current ones suck (but there's decent downloadable content).

How Do I Make My Forums Successful?
TheDisturbedOne replied to The Simpleton's topic in General Discussion
You will need a good theme to get people to join. I would steer clear away from default themes, and even themes on the software's theme site can look boring. Make it look like a computer forum.Get friends and family to join, to build up activity in the beginning. You may even want to make up fake members in the beginning, and basically talk to yourself. It works, but make sure you know who is who.I'll also suggest making tutorials and posting those around. There's tons of computer forums out there, and you need to make your site different than all the others. Finally if you choose to use Simple Machines Forum as the software, PM me here or on the SMF forums (same username) and I can help you out. I have 3 SMFs -
Please Make A Review Of My Blog
TheDisturbedOne replied to moonheart's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The page loads very slow, probably because you have too many ads. The theme seems too "default" to me, so I suggest you change it. I also suggest that you change the domain since internet job scams has nothing to do with working at home.I really suggest getting rid of half, if not more of the ads. -
Available Iphone Os 3.0 Apple iPhone
TheDisturbedOne replied to donneo's topic in Science and Technology
Thanks for the link, but the download didn't work. Nice that they added the open in new window, because I use that often in Firefox on my computer. Any chance they fixed the bugs where changing tabs automatically reloaded that page? I find that very annoying. -
No single keywords? I never heard about that before, but right now I have conquered many longer keywords (I'm targeting "Disturbed" and I'm #2 for Disturbed forum and #1 for disturbed message board). How would you suggest I to about targeting that keyword?Great guide though, and I've seen the addition of h1 tags helping me as well.

Apple Iphone 3gs New! Apple tech...
TheDisturbedOne replied to donneo's topic in Science and Technology
I think this new iPhone is too hyped. I don't see anything that would make a iPhone 3G owner want to run out and buy this, besides the ability to take video. I think Apple needs to make bigger changes to the iPhone to make somebody want to spend another $300 to upgrade.
