  1. You're not that thin. Your weight seems all right to me. I'm 160cm and I weigh 45kg and the people around me and myself think I look fine. Is this just a recent problem? You might want to consult a doctor if it doesn't cease, because it could be parasites in your stomach or something. You don't have to worry that you seem to eat a lot more for breakfast than your friends. Breakfast is actually the most important meal of the day, and it is good to start the day with a good breakfast. Different people have different appetites. Maybe you need to eat much more for breakfast, and that's all right. You don't have to compare yourself with your friends. Perhaps if you ate as much as you want for breakfast, your problem may go away.
  2. It's accurate for mine and the names of people that I know. This is cool!
  3. I always liked the Sim games, though I don't remember playing Sim Town, but I played one that involved the building of a theme park.
  4. I'm not fat and don't look fat :lol:I think it's more important to measure your 'fat' based on BMI rather than what you see in the mirror. Because people now have different standards on what physically constitutes fat. Some people may think that only stick-thin people are considered thin and everyone else is fat, which is extremely unhealthy. So the best way is to use BMI to gauge whether you are overweight.
  5. I don't think the people behind fast foods and their ads can really be blamed. They are here to make a living. If they wanted to advocate healthy lifestyles for the sake of the people, they would have gone to do something else. Besides, I don't think warning people actually works. In my country, a lot of people like to eat oily greasy food from roadside stalls although we know perfectly well that it is unhealthy and sometimes, unhygienic. People go for what appeals to their stomach when it comes to food, not what appeals to logic.Perhaps the best solution would be to educate children from a young age in school about healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. You can eat fast food and not get fat, if incorporate enough exercise into your lifestyle. I do agree that parents are also largely to blame. They should educate their children too and not indulge in their children and let them have whatever they want. Then again, some parents are fans of fast food and other unhealthy foods themselves.
  6. Replacing proper meals with low-fat yoghurt is not going to help you lose weight. According to a research by Smart Buy magazine, most yoghurt manufacturers exaggerate or lie about the nutritional value in their yoghurt. I wouldn't want to mention the specific brands here. If you have the magazine, you can go and read it if you want to know the exact brands. Anyway, the research explains that most brands of yoghurt contain approximately the same amount of calcium levels, even though some may claim that they offer more calcium than others. Also, sugar in yoghurt is bad for those who are diabetic or on a strict diet to lose weight. Labels that claim to be 'low-fat' often contain more sugar and fat than the amount indicated.Furthermore, the levels of E Coli bacteria found in the samples of yoghurt are almost equal to or exceed the three grams that health regulations allow.According to the research, each rach 125- to 150g tub of yoghurt you eat contains between 80 and 150 calories. If you are watching your weight, brands that claim to be fat-free, low-sugar, low-cholesterol or high-calcium may not be as healthy and appropriate for your diet as you think it is. Eat a balanced diet of proper meals instead! If you like yoghurt or anything with lactose but wish to consume more healthy ones, here are some tips.Get natural unflavoured yoghurt because it contains more nutrition. That means avoid the rest, including the fruity ones.Natural unflavoured milk is cheaper and offers more calcium and protein. No banana, strawberry, chocolate or other fancy flavors.Fat-free or low-sugar yoghurt still contains calories.Buy freshly manufactured yoghurts. The manufacture date is usually printed on the package. The fresher the yoghurt, the more digestion-aiding lactic acid bacteria is contained in the cup.Drinking or liquid yoghurt is made of fat-free milk and flavored with food additives, which contains less protein but excess sugar. Hence, it is actually unhealthy, especially for children.
  7. Spiritual methods are good for curing sicknesses due to stress and other psychological problems, such as headaches and migraines. However, I'm quite sure that it doesn't cure sicknesses like cancer but sadly, some irresponsible and fake healers exaggerate about the effectiveness of their treatments.
  8. I believe peer pressure is one of the largest factors in causing young people to smoke. They are regarded as the 'uncool' kid if they don't smoke and their friends smoke, so they start smoking too. I heard that people who do their first smokes usually cough and find it horrible, so the only logical explanation would be external pressure from other people. So they pretend that they enjoy it, and soon they get addicted.
  9. I like it! I think it is a very graceful sport also. I especially enjoy seeing women martial artists practise it. But I'm not very athletic and I have a knack of being accident prone, or it would be one of the sports I'd consider taking it up.
  10. wow 30 gigs! Give us the space for free hosting! :lol:30 gigs is good for storing files, but is it user-friendly to store your files to this service? I use gmail and it has Gspace which is very convenient for uploading files for storage.
  11. Chinese medicine generally tastes horrible because they don't add sugar and chemicals into the medicine to make it taste better. However, it works well and does not have side effects because it's all natural herbs. I usually take Chinese medicine for sore throat, colds, coughs, diarrhea and other sicknesses that are not too serious. However, if I have infections, I'll go to the western doctor for antibiotics, because from my experience with Chinese medicine, it can work pretty slowly.
  12. Yes, if you add a credit card, you can buy things with it. That's the whole point of using credit card on paypal However, you won't be able to withdraw money unless you have a bank account.Personally, I dislike paypal. I second what Mich says. It's dangerous to add a credit card to it if it has high withdrawal limit. Paypal isn't that safe and hackers and people who know your password and stuffs can withdraw thousands from your account if you aren't careful. Furthermore, if paypal decides to freeze or close your account (they have a lot of stupid excuses to do it) because they find something 'doubtful' about your account, you won't be able to remove your information during that period, that means your bank acc number, credit card number etc will remain on your account until they unfreeze your account for you.
  13. My parents are Buddhist, so I take on their religion too. But I'm not very religious. I do not go to the temples regularly and I don't go vegetarian on certain days unlike some staunch Buddhists. I also have no qualms doing some things that are against my religion. However, I do respect mine and other people's religions and I believe in the existence of God and deities. So probably 3 for me.
  14. Fatigued skin comes about easily especially if you are a college student or busy working person who has to burn the midnight oil and lead a stressful lifestyle. When your skin is fatigued, you start developing lines around your eyes and forehead, which is usually a result of dehydration. To distinguished between dehydration lines and wrinkles, push gently against the lined area with your finger. If the lines are fine and they disappear or become less apparent when you release your finger, they are marks of dehydration. If not, they are wrinkles and more difficult to tackle. To reduce dehydration marks, start using a good facial moisturiser daily, morning and night. You should also smoothen the lines around your eyes by using eye cream. I am currently using ZA's Future Defense Emulsion for moisturiser and ZA's future Defense Eye Cream and they are quite good. If you know of other good brands, feel free to share.I do not have much experience with dealing with wrinkles, but according to some of my colleagues and personal research, you will need more potent skincare like anti-wrinkle serums, which reportedly help cells produce more collagen and protein to push out the lines from within. These work better on wrinkles that are not so deep. But for deeper grooves, a combination of Botox and fillers can eliminate them. Botox acts to paralyse the muscles and prevent further wrinkling, while the fillers help to fill and smoothen out the groove made by the wrinkles.
  15. I absolutely agree. It is extremely annoying when you are raring to go with your new layout that looks fantastic in firefox, and when you open it in Internet Explorer, bummer, there's an unexplainable gap in between one of the tables and ruins your entire layout and mood completely. Thanks for the weblink. It is useful!
  16. That's probably one of the reasons why some students in the lower grade schools are required to wear uniforms in some countries. I had to wear uniforms in mine too. It helps you to identify who's from your school and who's not. Also, all visitors to the school grounds are required to report to the General Office or they can be prosecuted for trespassing.
  17. Nanostray 2 is like a Shoot-em-up, where the objective is to shoot thousands of nameless enemies with your super-powered ship. You control a ship, aided by two revolving drones and fly about blasting enemies in search for a cure to the Nanostray virus. It is a decent plot that serves its purpose as an excuse to start shooting. However, the game may be rather daunting to casual gamers because of its difficulty. The first two stages are quite easy, but novices will die at the later stages before they know it. There is also no way to save your game manually. The game is saved automatically between stages so it is easy to resume game play, but it also deletes your saved game when you die, forcing you to start all over again. I guess this makes it even more challenging. However, for the avid gamers, the difficulty is what makes the game addictive. You will just keep going at it until you have at least beaten the story. There are 32 challenges that you can attempt, such as scoring forty-five thousand points within thirty seconds or weaving through stages without dying. These challenges are just as, if not more difficult, than the main game. However, it is less taxing on your stamina as you can complete them one at a time.Included in the menu of games are three-dimensional variations of Snake and Brick-out, which will be unlocked for play once you finish a set of eight challenges. In my opinion, if you are a seasoned shoot-em-up gamer who loves challenges, you will most probably like Nanostray 2.
  18. My favorite is Chizuru. I love her fighting style and somehow, I find it easier to play as her than other characters. I also loved her outfit and her elegance, and the fact that she isn't overly sexed up like some other female characters.
  19. With the right interior decoration, your room can help you to relax and relieve stress. To come back to an anxiety free environment, home is the best retreat from the stresses of daily life. Our moods are affected by our immediate environments, hence we can change how we feel by changing our interiors. Small rooms tend to make us feel more constricted on top of all the stress we are experiencing, so the goal is to make our rooms look bright and large.Try bringing fixtures into your decor of contrasting materials. For example, use wall ornaments with colors that either enhance your surrounding furniture or contrasts with the wall color. It will bring depth and balance to the decor.Paintings can make a room look bigger and act character to your living space. Of course, choose paintings with happy or warm themes and bright colors.Drapes are effective in pulling together different colors in a room. Materials you choose will enhance the overall mood of a room. Pick velvets or silk for a romantic or soft feel. Use bright colors for a crisp, clean look. Floral or motley patterned curtains that share similar color tones or patterns with your wallpaper, carpeting or bedspreads will give your room a more unified look.
  20. A potential client's first contact with the company is usually through the phone, so it is important that you make it a pleasant experience for him.Important phone etiquettes to bear in mind:When answering the phone, identify your company, department and state your name immediately name e.g. This is [name] from the [department] of [company].When talking to customers, call them by name. By repeating the name, you are more likely to remember it the next time. It also sounds more personalized and friendly.Know how you sound like to others. You can find this out by recording your voice. Then critique your tone, manners, friendliness and vocal quality.Use the hold button if you must temporarily leave the phone. Otherwise the person on the line may end up hearing some not very nice sounding things that embarrass you and the company.Excuse yourself when leaving the line e.g. "Just a moment please, [name]," will do. If it will take a longer time, make sure you reassure the customer every 20 to 30 seconds that you have not forgotten him. If you must do this more than twice, it is probably better that you call him back when you are able to talk or you have found out what he needs.Listen to your caller. Allow your caller to talk and encourage her input. When pauses occur, don't interrupt until the caller is finished with her thought. Take brief notes to ensure that you do not forget the caller's message.Keep a notepad and pen by the phone so you can quickly write messages or notes.Screen calls for the caller's name by asking: "Who's calling please?" Try to remember the people who have called up that day. A person always feels good if he knows that he is remembered.Let the caller hang up first, in case he suddenly decides to add something. To avoid cutting off the caller's thoughts, let him hang up first.
  21. Tomatoes are rich in fibre and Vitamins A and C. They are also cholesterol free. An average-sized tomato weighing about 150gm has only 35 calories.New medical research suggests that lycopene, the stuff that makes tomatoes red, may prevent several types of cancer such as lung, prostate, cervical, digestive tract and breast.Cooked tomatoes have higher concentrations of lycopene than non-cooked tomatoes. When you eat tomatoes which are cooked with a bit of olive oil, the nutrient aspects of tomatoes are absorbed more effectively. On a side note, there are more than 10,000 varieties of tomatoes in the world and the tomato is the world's most popular fruit.
  22. 1. Fit in fitness everyday. Getting regular physical activity works wonders in coping with stress. Let the treadmill or jogging path help you elevate your mood and release stress.2. Get out of the house and enjoy natural sunlight by taking a brisk walk in a nearby park.3. Keep a journal. Self-monitor your food, fitness and emotional feelings to become more aware of your triggers and behavioral patterns.4. Don't deprive yourself of enjoying the foods you love, for this only leads to bingeing. Instead, plan to eat a small portion of the desired foods, eat it slowly and savor every mouthful/5. Set some ground rules about eating e.g. Only eat while seated, no food after 9 pm, no second helpings6. Visit community boards regularly (such as Xisto) and let your friends and professional staff help you. Research has shown that staying connected is one of the most important aspects of dealing with stress and sticking to your eating plan. 7. Identify the situations that cause overeating and develop a list of how you will handle these challenges. Be realistic. Talk it over with your buddies who face similar stressors to find realistic situations that will help you manage the stress.8. Relax. Give yourself at least 15 minutes each day of peace and quiet (sleeping does not count), a time to be reflective, meditate or simply unwind. Soaking yourself in a hot bubble bath can help you be calm and at peace with yourself. Breaking free from people, a breath of fresh air or escaping into a quiet room will energize you.9. Be good to yourself. Have a list of motivational sayings that inspire and strengthen your resolve. Use affirmations daily to help you feel good about yourself.10. Eat healthily. Proper nutrition promotes health, well-being and rejuvenation, which in turn, enhances your resilience to stress.
  23. Email messages that contain seemingly harmless gossip or criticism can be passed around and hauled out later, and used to build a case against the corporation that engaged the people who sent them. When you are about to send a message that spreads a rumor, including comments that belittle a client, or passes on a fact that could be damaging to a client's reputation, think again. In view of what could be dragged out of the darkness into the harsh light of the courtroom, a whispered conversation with the co-worker you intended to send the email to would be a safer option, provided your co-worker doesn't squeal. What to keep off the record It's fine to have a disagreement on record, if the argument is based on what is factual and objective. Such disputes can be informative and help companies improve on processes. But if the disagreement descends into name-calling, uses "facts" from gossip circles, or raises information that is confidential, beware of conducting it on any recordable medium. Even gossiping about something that is factual, but is confidential, can be built into an accusation that one company failed to be a trustworthy partner to the other. Remain Objective Keep email messages, taped conversations and memos objective. Omit personal opinions that could be taken as defamatory or insulting to other parties. If you are absolutely bursting to tell a trusted colleague exactly what you think of that pain-in-the-butt customer, save it for lunchtime and keep your voice down. You don't want to have to admit many years down the road to a lawyer that you were the one who sent that damning message to the entire department, which now helps to prove that your company could not have fulfilled its agreement to provide the customer with the best support if its staff were mocking that same customer and calling him a moron. As a rule... Never insult any client or business partner even in a private email to a co-worker. If a discussion gets heater, back off and couch your thoughts in objective terms. Even if you are ready to leave your present company, communicate professionally about all its customers. If word gets around that you like to gossip about clients, few other companies will trust you with theirs. When in doubt, refrain and rephrase. If you must spew, do it face-to-face, and only with co-workers you trust.
  24. It has happened to me too previously. I realize that the problem has gone away once I upgraded by Adobe Reader. Maybe you should do the same. Or try to save the file and then open it in AR instead of viewing it in the browser.
