  1. Hi gutout. I'm looking to join a clan sometime in the near future. (I'll PM you after this post, if you're online) I just want to know, are you sure you're ready to run a clan on RS.Running a clan takes a lot of work, you need to have time to do lots of clan activities ETC. If you believe you are ready then I'll give you a go. I used to be a pure ranger, started training my melee skills about a week ago, so I range more than anything.Combat level: 70Attack: 58strength:50defence: 50ranged: 73magic: 57prayer: 48I think I could help the clan out a lot, I have some great idea's of where to go for clan trips, such places where I made most of my money. (26 Mill)If you think you can't hold all the responsibility of a clan yet, I'd be happy to help out as co-owner, but if you think you're ready to take on the responsibility yourself then I'll definately contemplate joining, sounds like it could be real fun.ThanksWetton (RS name: 3 arrow kill)
  2. Wow Kobra- You've really shocked me there. If anything I thought the game was too short, nevermind taking ages.. :/As for Athiex's reply, I was also upset with the ending of fable, but you mentioned that fable 2 wans't able to draw you in... maybe this is because it hasn't been released yet? :DFable 2 has had the release date put off since january of last year, and this week microsoft announced that it will be a further month before it really is released. but who knows, that could get put off again.. :DThere were many critics who claimed that the game wasn't long enough, and I agree. There were also critics who siad there wasn't enough choice between good and bad, but lets face it, it had more choice than most games. Fable 2 has worked on these complaints, and tried to make it better. When it is released I hope these critics will view Fable in a different light. As Live Dimension stated, this game was over hyped. People were let down with Fable because they were expecting too much. This doesn't mean that Fable is a bad game, per say, the gamers just expected more then could be delivered. A lot of games are over hyped, and although they are good games, they are dissapointing when you actually do play the game. this is the downfall of many games.I would like to see more choice in Fable 2, and hopefully a longer storyline also. I didn't exactly hate the first one, but having said that, there is quite a bit of room for improvement. Lets hope thats what they've done.
  3. .:.Fable.:. Wow... Fable. What a good game!! Fable was one of the first games made for the Xbox, this game was released on the same date as the original Xbox, and was sold amongst 80% of the consoles. Fable was a big hit with the public, as many of you guys will already know, it made game of the year, the year it was released. You could do a variety of quests, whilst honing your archery, magic, and warrior abilities. Over the years Fable has gained many fans, it could possibly be the best game ever created. So what can we expect from Fable 2? .:.Fable 2.:. There have been lots of rumors on the internet, and features that are supposedly in the new Fable game. I scouted the internet to find out which of these were true, and those that were otherwise. On Fable 1, you could earn 'Renown.' This is an indicator of how well known you are. By getting more renown, you unlocked new things. One of these new things was 'Emotes.' You could use these emotes to express yourself freely, and these emotes ranged from waving hello, to farting. On Fable 2, however, the use of emotes is slighly more complex. I saw a video on the net, of the prototype Fable 2 being played. Following him was a dog. This could mean that Fable 2 offers the new addition of pets, but this could have just been a random animal, so dont quote me. On this video, the guy narrating, made his character fart. Upon the dog hearing and smelling this, it fell over and played dead. Okay so this isn't a feature that is needed on Fable, but just for the comedy value, it makes the game even more worth playing. .:.Whats new?.:. If you have played the old Fable, you can look forward to seeing changes in number 2. Fable 2 is supposedly 50 years on, and so the towns have been restored and re-worked, Bowerstone in particular looks very good. The graphics of Fable 2 are mind boggling, it truly is a stroke of genius. If you remember the bandit camp in your home town, you will notice that it has been reduced to rubble. Throughout the game you will hear rumors of a great warrior from 50 years ago, who saved many lives. This is rumored to be about the character you previously played on Fable 1. (If you did so.) I think we can expect a lot from Fable 2, but that might just be its downfall. We loved Fable 1, and are expecting version 2 to be loads better, but I just dont think thats possible. Although the game will be awesome, I think Fable fans are too expectant, and are going to be a little bit dissapointed, they're just asking too much. Please post your opinion, or any other facts or rumors you have heard about the game. Thanks Wetton.
  4. Yeah the trade limit is a bit stupid, I suppose. You have to do quests to be able to trade more, and even when you have all the quests, the max is still only 30,000...I didn't really go in the wildy much, to PK, however I wish there was still a 'wilderness' cause itdrove the economy. Without the wilderness there is less need to buy food, replace armour/weps, ETC.You seem to have nice levels there, its gonna be sad to see you leave RS. Mine aren't nearly as good, but im training :DRS Username: 3 Arrow Kill (Former pure ranger- started training melee stats last week)Thanks.Wetton.
  5. Key- People who don't yet play Runescape People who do play RS. .:.Runescape- The game.:. For those who don't know, Runescape is a massive online RPG (Role Playing Game) In which you take your character through a series of quests, battle many monsters, and try to become the best of the best. The makers of Runescape, Jagex, always make monthly updates to make the game better. Runescape is one of the best games I've ever fount to play, although it starts off a little slow. If you give it a go, Runescape is one of those games you can really get into. .:.Your levels?.:. On Runescape, you start off with all your skills level 1. As you use this skill, (E.G, woodcutting> Chop some tree's) You gain experience. This experience goes towards your levels. Upon your reply, please post your character stats back, I'd love to see how good you guys are. .:.Making Money.:. Making money on runescape is one of everybody's main goals. Many people do this from woodcutting, and selling the logs to people who need them to gain a skill level in fletching (making archery equipment) or Firemaking (burning logs), Some peple choose to fish instead, and sell the food to people who fight a lot. When you post back I'd love to hear your total wealth (including items) and how you got it. Me? Well.. I have 25M, ish. I only have that much because i got lucky at the black drags, and it dropped a Draconic Visage. .:.Your story.:. Now its your turn. If you do not yet play Runescape, I hope this post has been informative, and I hop you join our community soon. If you DO play runescape, I'd like you to post your character stats, total wqealth and how you got it, and maybe information about your clan, if you are recruiting. You may find a few new members right here at Trap 17 Thanks Wetton.
  6. Thanks C.E, and to everyone who has so far given an opinion. I'd love to here anyone elses opinion,ThanksWetton
  7. Yes the finger will be almost identical. There could be enviromental factors affecting this, such as if the old finger had a scar, the new one would not (unless you cut it again lol) Starfish do have the gift too, but their stem cells are only in the center of the starfish- as long as each section of the starfish has part of the center, then yes a new starfish will grow. The eye story interested me greatly too, thats why I decided to share it. As you know- Farmers are considered 'Poor' people. if they are poor, but can afford pigs, then this suggests that the treatment would be relatively cheap. The real question though, is it right? If we play god, and kill pigs to save a mans finger, we could wipe out all the pigs in the world. However if we could find a way to keep the pigs bladder alive for a couple of hours after death- then we could wait for natural death to occur, and then freeze the stem cells for use in later days. If we harnessed this power, many illnesses could be fixed quickly, easily, and more to the point, cheaply. people who have lost whole limbs, or need replacement organs (If we found the technology to grow stem cells into organs in test tubes ETC) Could get them easily. Thanks.
  8. Yeah I heard about this from my science teacher. A guy accidentally chopped his finger off, and his friend had made 'Pixie dust' He didn't think it would actually work, he just did it to humor his fingerless friend. He had previously scraped some cells from the inside of a pigs bladder, and soaked them in acid. Soaking them in acid killed most of the cells, but the ones that didn't die kept most of the properties of 'Stem cells'Stem cells can adapt to the body, and make brand new tissue or organs, or anything. Newts for instance, have the ability to keep producing stem cells throughout their life. if a newts arm was to get chopped off, it could grow it back in a matter of hours. Starfish also have this gift- you can chop a starfish up into 5 pieces, and from that, 5 starfish will grow. its amazing technology. There was a young boy who was sight- impaired. He was put in a maze, and it took him 1:27 to get through, and he walked into almost every wall of the maze. They then injected stem cells into the back of his eye, onto the rettana (These stem cells were harnessed from the umbillical cord of new born babies) and his vision improved dramatically. He was put in the same maze again, and he made it through in 14 seconds. If stem cells can regrow organs and raplace mutated cells, then this could possibly work as a cure for cancer (If caught early enough) Its amazing how science technology is improving. Amazing.Thanks.
  9. Yes, I do know Fat Fighters isnt real (Little Britain ftw )You say that salad takes time.. Seriously, if they are too lazy to be bothered cutting up some veggies then its purely their own fault that they are fat. And life is simple if you know hoe to play it right, why wouldn't people want to be diet buddies with you? Knowing that theres somebody else doing it with you gives you the determination not to let them down, you dont see a problem with letting yourself down, but you'd hate to let somebody else down. The NHS adverts on T.V say you are 40% more likely to quit with them, than if you go it alone. I don't see how it would be different for belly-busting.As far as I am aware- There IS help for those who seek it- FREE. Most people seem to be embarassed though, and don't have the courage to go to a gym or weight loss club. I can understand why, tbh, I can see it must be hard.Yes, the media does have a HUGE impact on how food is viewed, and I agree they should get help- I'm not saying that they shouldn't. What I'm saying is they should be prepared to try, they'll get nowhere otherwise. This thread was supposed to be a 'Who's to blame' thread, and its turned into more of a 'How to loose weight' Thread, still a good topic none the less.
  10. Yes it would be stupid to ban eating in restaraunts Yes, people are lazy. It is up to them to pull their fingers out and try something. Some people should set up local weight watchers or whatever clubs for free, I suppose. But who cares if it costs, good help doesn't come cheap. For those less fortunate who can't afford it, thay can still excercise and choose to eat healthily. Fat fighters and weight watchers mainly work because its easier to loose weight if you have the encouragement from other people trying to do the same, much like stop-smoking groups. I'm sure everyone can find a fat-friend who they can talk to and they can both diet. You are right, I have made mistakes that endanger my life, in fact- most of my hobbies include risking my life (Free running with friends ETC) But I'm not stupid enough to blame the government if I fall, like the obese society are blaming others. Y'know what really grinds my gears? Fast food restaraunts saying their meals are healthy cause they have a slice of tomato with them. They still have the same fastty foods, but they are havving MORE by having salad, too. This is actually even more unhealthy cause people are still eating the fast foods, PLUS the salad. Although salad isnt bad for you, it doesn't mean that the food it touches also isnt bad, otherwise everyone would rub lettuce on their chocolate before eating... Irealise there are no vegetables in my examples, but everything can be served with salad rather than fries/beans or whatever else you would serve those things with. I did say the list goes on, and it does. Salad is just one of the many quick and easy options. I have realised that people don't like salad because of hgow it is viewed globally. People on T.V saying "Eat your greens" to their children and what-not, who refuse because it is nasty. People don't want to try Salad because they dont think it will taste nice, due to how people talk about it. This plays a big part in why people try fast foods, too. It is viewed as the tasty sustinance, and so people choose it over a healthier meal. Thanks. P.S- I know it seems I'm arguing with you but I am greatful for the replies XD Good discussion to be honest.
  11. No problem electric, reply in your own time.I can see what you mean about the dangers of smoking, and people getting help, why shouldn't it be the same for obesity? It shouldn't. I'm not against them getting help, but I do think its their fault. People who die of lung cancer from smoking, yeah its sad, and maybe a little harsh, but they were the ones to choose to take up smoking in the 1st place, they were ware of the risks. The government have banned smoking in public places such as restaraunts, mainly cause it damages other people health too, via passive smoking. its not like they can just ban eating in public places such as restaraunts though. There are a number of groups out there dedicated to helping people loose weight. Weight watchers, Fat fighters, Slim fast. There are many solutions, but some people just arent taking it upon themselves to try and sort it out.And Gaspe, you're right, there is no real answer to this dilemma. I see why its easy and convenient, and how some people dont have the time. But there are many cheap and fast solutions. Many foods can take as little as 10 minutes to cook, but just take the effort. If people were willing to put in the effort, then perhaps there would be less obese children in todays society:Pasta- This can take as little as 20 minutes, and if you cant be bothered, you could always use the pasta sauce in jars, rather than making your own.Sausages- By frozen sausages in a bag, they only take a few minuits too cook, sure its not the healthiest food in the world, but its a damn sight better than McDonaldsInstant mashed potato- This goes with anything, and doesnt take long cause you buy instant, none of that mashing up potatoes yourself.Theres no end to the list. Use fast food every once in a while, but do not over indulge.Thanks.
  12. Why yes, it is strange. I know its not the perfect solution, and before any numpty's try smacking themselves in the head, I WAS JOKING! Thats a bad way to solve it... though it would be cheaper than Laser Eye Surgery... lol. And yes, my teacher now wears one contact, which has upset him cause he used to need 2, and he had colored ones (White so you could only see the pupil, they looked ace) and now he can only wear one for fear of damaging his eye, Wow, thats some bad stuff right there. We've been learning about all this in science, thats why my teacher told us the story of his eyes. Good job you got hormone medication. The pituatary gland and hypothalamus are really important for working your kidneys, you mess either of those 3 up and there could be serious consequences, look after yourself. The pituatary gland controls the release of ADH (Anti-diurettic-hormones) And these hormones (Depending on how much hormone is released from pituitary gland) tell the kidneys how much urine to disperse into the bladder. Now I'm sure you can see there could be some very..uhm.. embarrasing results, if you aint careful. Look after yourself, and thanks for the posts guys XD Thanks
  13. Thanks electric, I was just about to ammend this after I realised my method was wrong (after I started designing my site) But you beat me to it. :lol:Thanks.
  14. You raise a good point.Looking at it logically, yes I have had less dreams come true, than those that don't, and I supopose on those basis it makes sense that it was a coincidence. And please, theres no need to sympathise, these things happen. He was getting old, he'd led a good long life, and I think its better to celebrate the life past, than the death thats happened. Optimism FTW.Thanks.
  15. I totally see where you are coming from, the government wouldn't have a job if it didn't need to be enforced, but surely in the case of obesity, frankly if they decide (klnowing the risks) that they wish to idulge in fatty foods, and gorge themselves, then quite frankly, its their fault.I understand that its fast, affordable, and easy, but you can make meals for a lot less if you are willing to put some work into cooking, and not just resorting to the unhealthy option. Those who are un-willing to try, and put some effort in, don't deserve help, they are aware of the risks, they should be the one to take action.I know that sounds harsh, and perhaps it is, but I think if people have a problem with being fat, or any other aspect of their looks, then its up to them to fix it. Either go to the gym often, (Or just excercise casually with friends, E.G. Football) and/or dont eat as much fast food. Theres nothing wrong with fast food, but its like the Greeks said, all things in moderation.thanks.
