  1. I was going to say that the background is too confusing but the more I see it the more I like it. I love that dirty style and the colors also, in both of them and the font fits perfectly, good work.
  2. Yeah it would be cool to have it, I know little actionscript... I?m lost without the assistant.
  3. I think Maple Story is some kind of RPG on line but it looks like having a lot of arcade (because of the anime-alike and still a bit childish graphics). To me it looks like an "updated Wonder Boy" or "Wonder Boy meets Final Fantasy" maybe. This is the site Welcome, I´m sure that you´ll find host here.
  4. Well, I've red the post and I must say that, although I kind of have sympathy for vegetarian people (I like people that in some aspect of their lifes don?t go with the mainstream) mainly because I?m near to hardcore music movement. I think that being vegetarian you show that you think for yourself, that you?re not going to live like your society tells you. But this doesn't mean that you are smarter than the rest of the world (that comment about you having to slow yourself to adjust to the rest is ridiculous, and it?s ridiculous that you believe it). From your words I think you?re using your vegetarianism like a way of feeling superior.By the way people don't become cows for eating cow the same way cows don't become grass for eating grass. Or maybe veggies tend to be like lettuce, green and immobile...
  5. That would be funny that there was life in Mars and humans killed it. Catastrophically funny, but... I don?t know I'm very skeptic in everything related with Mars and space in general... I mean, just a few know what is really happening out there and they can say everything and we have to believe it because we can't go there to see it. Now that information is so easily manipulated, images included. They could have done stronger failures than this and we will never know.Anyway, it?s historically true that humans destroy everything they come across. Maybe it?s our mission in earth?
  6. Well, I?m not vegan but I have vegan friends. And I don?t know if I?m the most indicated to talk about this (not vegan and not english-speaker so I hope nothing is misunderstood) but I feel that this is "everybody against juice". I mean it?s like sometimes meat-eating people (like me) seem to be offended whenever someone talks about not eating meat and animal rights. I suppose we feel some kind of blame deep inside our minds although we deny it and we adopt a defensive posture about it. Anyway I don?t like the way some vegans try to judge people who eat meat. They always talk about ethics. There are also vegetarian people who go on that diet just because they think it?s healthier, but not much vegans have his diets on health terms, but moral. That question (why not animals and vegetables yes) I have ask myself but I think the answer is clear. Yes, we know that plants are also a life form, but it?s undeniable that animals are at a level more similar than humans. They move, they suffer and express it, they have instincts... you know, when a man have an accident or suffer an illness that made him totally invalid we tend to say that he's in vegetative state... and not in a animal state or whatever. I think that illustrates very well how plants don?t have the same vitality of humans and animals. One thing that a vegan friend of mine always remarks it?s that they're not ecologists or animal lovers, they do it because feel that animals deserve respect and so they?re against all kind of mistreat. Then they can even hate animals but respect them, I guess the same way that I respect human people that I like and some other that I don?t.
  7. Well, one of the thing that caused expectations of GMail was that mystery, that policy of invitations, so the accounts only increase user to user... I think that gave Gmail a socializing aspect even before signing. Everybody wanted to have an account although they didn?t need 1 or 2 gigas for nothing really. The fact that you couldn?t just enter and get an account by yourself made it more interesting. They are having for months a product under beta that is far better than most email services so let?s expect that when the beta period is over, Gmail will be almost invulnerable. But I don?t care... still in beta is more than a good service. Enough for me.
  8. Although I haven?t tried wanadoo and cjb.net services (well, I think I got a redirection account here, but I don?t use it now anyway) it doesn?t surprise me that they?re far worse than Xisto, because I tried many others and the result was always the same...
  9. Well, in the first sig I agree with the others, so, about the second, I think it?s too dark and I don't see the point in centering the text when the render is on the right. Why don?t you move the text to the left? That way you can fill the black space bellow the copyright thing and the render would gain presence.
  10. Well I don?t know about other experiences but I have had accounts on hotmail, yahoo and lycos and I must say that Gmail has far the best spam filter. I don?t receive any spam in my incoming folder and if I had received one or two (which i don?t remember but it?s possible and understandable) I marked it as spam and it worked with next mails. But it?s like everything, I try not to put my address in every site and forum i visit and if I have to, I put things like me(at)gmail(dot)com or whatever. You cannot blame a mail service for all the spam you may receive, it?s your business too.
  11. Things like this happen from time to time, even if there?s no problem with internet supply in your country. I think most of Internet providers give their services knowing that not all his clients get connected at the same time... so one day when too much users get on line (holidays for example) the servers get saturation. This could be a reason, but also could be that earthquake or any malfunction of the provider's installations. You need to be patient and remember that there?s life outside but without forgetting that you pay a service and you have all the rights to complain about this fail.
  12. I agree with mbacarra. Don?t expect a total recovery or think that you will be an athlete now. Years of smoking cause years of damage to your organism, but it?s no so dramatic anyways. The same happens with alcohol, drugs or even bad diets. But is a real difficult thing to leave the habit of smoking so congratulations because you?ll feel better than when you smoke. You will also save money and time and people won?t have to run away when you light a cigarette. And they say your sexual life will be better too...
  13. I really like it. It?s not typical and is not extremely minimalist. Clean, clear, friendly, kind of neutral, the things that a hosting service site must have. I think the "welcome" paragraph it?s too long, I don?t like that it fills all the wideness. At one column would look beter I guess. But i?ll give it a 9 easily.
  14. Well I never thought that increasing 500 times the speed was even possible. This is like the elixir of eternal youth applied to Internet, am I wrong? Because the modem/router probably wouldn?t support it and because the only way seem to be cheating the company that provides you internet, and they would realise soon. And I don?t think any program could do this (make them provide you more speed paying the same).Useless junk.
  15. I like it but there?s something that is not to good my taste, although it?s very common indeed. I?m talking about the banner, too much height and nothing really on it. Maybe you?ll add some text later but anyway I see it too big and taking too much space. I don?t dislike the fact that is green. For the graphic aspect, I find it brilliant. Good work.
  16. Best wishes to all Xisto family, people who works in it and people who "lives" in it. I hope 2007 will be a better year for everyone and friends. And don?t drink too much celebrating the new year (supposing that you haven?t celebrated it yet in your respective countries ).
  17. Of course I like. I like it because it?s the best drink you can get. Nothing calms your thirst more, nothing more refreshing and no other drink is so good for your health. Water means purity in all its meanings. But the other thing is that we have to like water anyway, because it is what keep us alive, the main part of our bodies and we couldn?t live without it. It?s so necessary or even more than the sunlight.
  18. The fact is that a dog is not a toy, I mean, it requires your love, your time and your patience. You cannot pick it up when you want and leave it alone when you?re not in the mood. So I agree that you have to think twice before getting one because the dog doesn?t deserve that you treat him bad or that you abandon him when you get bored. Also, you have to notice that having a dog in a flat in a big city is much more complicated that in a house in a small town or a house in a urbanization with a garden in which he can play, etc. You have to take it several times a day to do his things and it?s not so funny when you have to wake up early in the morning in the cold winter...
  19. Merry Christmas to everybody here in Xisto, users, mods and administrators. Have fun with your friends and family these days and always. And my best wishes for the next year 2007 that will be even better than this.
I?m from Bilbao, Spain. It?s true that Xisto works perfectly well, I?ve been here for years and no matter how many I try, there are no other free hosting like this. Rarely there are downtimes and they?re mostly to update something and don?t last much. I?m sure that you?ll get the hosting and you?ll be able to upload your site soon. Try to write in English so everybody can understand, for me it?s like a way to improve my written English.
  21. I do play Silk Road and I like it. And these kind of parallel business are the worst thing about on line games like this.
  22. I don?t like them. I mean, in my country I think there?s only Red Bull from the above and it doesn?t taste too good in my opinion. So I don?t know about the other but in case Red Bull tastes better thatn the other two, just drink water!
  23. To people like me, that don?t know much or anything about building structures in css, the things you say seem very reasonable, but how to do it? I mean, do you recommend any good tutorial about... I don?t know,,, learning to replace the common use of tables in web design for a better css use? You know we?ve learn to design with tables and now it?s gonna be hard to change our mind and I suppose that doing the same with css will be much more difficult. I would like to try and see if the differences bettween browsers are so dramatic. It?s not so much time ago that I learnt that tables in html weren?t really conceived to do what they are used to do nowadays and it would be cool to leave them but how to start? I know that it will take ages to change people mind, but these processes must be slow. Some years ago nobody would say that a new browser like firefox would beat explorer or some linux distributions would start to harm seriously the windows business.About the thing that different browsers display the same code in different ways, I think it sucks, someone is not acting according to standars there. The same as if you write a word here and in Tokyo it looks the ame, writing a css code would have to look the same in every browser.
  24. This is a wonderful vision of relationships, but definitely not true. Everybody look in the outside, I mean you don?t even pay a bit of attention to someone who you don?t like when you see him/her. Yeah, then you get to know each other and maybe that beautiful person is not so beautiful on the inside.. but maybe yes. Meanwhile, a person that doesn?t attract you phisically maybe you would never know, and who knows if you would like her/his inside more than the other. So about you, for that point, I think you don?t have a realistic idea about relationships yet... but hey, who am I to say that you should lose your innocence? No way. In the other points I agree more or less... well, sex is also important, but I wouldn?t base a relationship on it or at least I wouldn?t consider us a couple if there are only sex. And money is always good when it comes with love, without it you?re only living a lie that sooner or later will reveal.
  25. Oh, interesting. I didn?t know you could do this in a site like blogger, so pre-established. I have a blogger account there doing nothing really... maybe someday i will try this to see how it works, although I?m afraid that this will be very easy for spammers to fill your site with their messages.
