everything i needed was in the recent posts and recent topics on the left hand side. didn't have to click anything i didn't want to and obviously spam is just obvious so i had everything i needed on the front page without clicking anything. ofcourse you have to click the topics you want to read or a post that needs moderating. my point is, there was more usefull information on the front page than there is now.

will power to me means discipline. discipline against the things that don't have any rational thought to them....like cravings or emotions, etc... i think in some ways, it also means patience. i think if you are disciplined and patient, it created a stronger will power among other things which allow you to become stronger in the things you set your mind to do.

i will wait til he gets married to laugh! i would rather laugh at him than with him :)j/k opaque! but it will be funny! when you do finally get married, let me know who she is so i can show her this thread haha

i think you said a lot in the little amount of space you wrote it. i enjoyed reading it. i don't really have an opinion right now but i do pretty much agree with most of what you said. i do have to argue at one point the heaven and hell issues. i think you made a contradiction in your original post about "death".truefusion- i thought he mentioned no bible quoting haha. i have a gut feeling that he had you in mind when he wrote that

well that's a matter of opinion then. i don't know how clicking more links to get to a destination is more user friendly in your eyes, but so be it. there is a similar discussion going on about the chat room. people don't want to click to enter. they want a chat box at the top of the page. also, how can you even say anything is near what used to be latest posts and topics? there is absolutely no menues on the left hand side of this forum.

i thought you fancied yourself as a philosopher. if can't look underneath the surface, then how can you ever fancy yourself a philosopher? when getting to the truth, there is no such thing as "too deep". you are right. your book is vastly different than mine.... "the best things in life are free" is like saying "the grass is greener on the other side". sure it holds truth, but it's also just pretty words to cover up the fact that life isn't perfect in anyone's eyes because it's human nature not only to be selfish, but life isn't always filled with happiness no matter WHAT you do to make your life perfect. i know it's an expression. you don't have to explain it to me like a second grader

i think you have always realized. it's just that some things may appear to be more important than other things. for instance. your new thread about alexa and getting in the top 1,000.....or adsense which would make visitors more important than members and an actual community. personally, i am all for the community and reject anything that takes precedence over it, but it seems like i am fighting a losing battle because there is only a select few people now that actually care about the community thing. we have two types of people coming here. the visitors who are searching for information and the members who want to contribute to information in exchange for hosting. when the membership decreases, the information decreases. when current events and information decrease, the less likely visitors will find the forum. the answer is pretty simply found by a 1/2 philosophical and 1/2 mathmatical equation. the actual money to be made lies in the members hands. not in the visitors hands. life is long term not short term. members are long term while visitors will always be short term. so if you want to realize something....realize THAT because i think it's something to think about....

yes we are, because i have to agree with him 100%. it is NOT the same. i loved viewing the newest topics and posts. the top 20 or so made it VERY EASY to navigate and everything was on the home page. now you have to click more to navigate. therefore, it is not as user friendly and it's a change i personally do not like even if you can point out the things that may seem similar.

if you fancy yourself a philosopher, you should choose your words more carefully because "do material things bring happiness" and "do material posessions lie at the root of happiness, are pretty much the same thing in my book. you give an example of a video game bringing happiness. that is true, but for a limited time. but who is to say it is actual happiness and not contentment? is there a difference? i do believe material things contribute to happiness but in no way shape or form do material things make people happy. if that were true. if we had material things, the happiness would never fade. also, we have to ask the question, WHAT material things contribute to happiness. is it any material things? is it material things to satisfy our own selfishness if one is actually looking for happiness? can selfishness contribute to happiness? is happiness just another word for selfishness? is there even such a thing as true happiness? or are we again talking about contentment....what i would call happiness in the momemt because nobody is really truely happy 24/7 with material possessions or not...and even if those things that are very important in life and come free..... but then, what is "free". i believe life is give and take and we are always sacrificing. if that is true in what i believe, then nothing in life can be free. i dunno. you fancy yourself a philosopher so i thought i would give some words for thought....

i personally think it can be handled differently. i mean, 30 years ago where i was born and raised, a police officer would stop a car just because a black guy didn't fit in to a certain neighborhood. to me, racial profiling is just plain wrong and if there are laws created to support such actions, then those laws should not be passed.i remember taking a trip to new mexico once. there was a spot where you could over look the rio grand river. it's a river that seperated the united states and mexico. it was pretty interesting. mexicans were going back and forth across the river. from one country to the next. they weren't being stopped. there were too many of them. this is a prim example of how the borders are not being gaurded. maybe if they head deeper in to the u.s., they will be stopped...but the borders themselves still remain open. my point is, it's almost impossible to stop.here is a little story about racial profiling i try to forget. it was chrismas night. i was walking over to my sisters apartment which was about 6 blocks away from where i spent christmas. she didn't spend christmas with us that year. i walk in to an apartment complex and realized it was the wrong one. when i walked out, police surrounded me. told me to get down and lay on the ground. all their guns were drawn on me. i froze. next thing you know, i was thrown to the ground. i still have pain once in a while in one of my legs because of that incident. they said i fit the description of someone they were looking for. i told them it wasn't me and they were wasting their time on me while this guy was still out there. anyway, i had been drinking that night before walking over there. instead of letting me walk to my sisters or back home, they housed me in a jail cell for about 8 hours or so and then released me. i had to walk 10 miles just to get back home. it was a christmas i will never forget. racial profiling is not pretty sometimes whether you are asian, black, hispanic or white like me. they said i was too drunk to be walking around but they were just trying to cover up their own mistakes. they didn't even slap me with a charge of any kind.

you need to keep yourself up to date. as recently stated, you will need to send in a support ticket with attention opaque. i would also recomend pming him with the ticket #. i wouldn't delay on this if you want any chance of your website current. opaque stated that he will help those who are having problems during this transition if he can.

it's good to try things for the experience, but it's better to stick with what you know. it's not a good sign when you are going to try something and don't even know what the name is going to be yet :)i can think of a alot of generic names but rvalkass is right. it should have to do with your selling point and you have given us no clue what that is.....

just make sure you give him everything he needs the FIRST time so he wont have to bother you with his stuff and you don't have to be reminded. ya know? i know it's going to be a crappy birthday but there really isn't any good time for a breakup. he probably DOES miss you though. he wan't to be friends but all this blaming stuff needs to stop. he blames you, you blame him. i know it's not easy, but you don't have to hate eachother in the process. i am sure in some way that hating him makes it easier but you don't move on by lying to yourself. like the hopes that you two might get back together.it may be a lousy birthday and you feel you have nothing to smile about and god forbid anyone else does when you are so miserable, but your dad is doing better and family is forever....not like broken relationships. it's something to be thankfull for because they wont leave you....i do have to agree that being friends right now is out of the question and i hope he knows by now to care enough about you to make it easier for you to move on and not contact you but you. it's not good to keep all this crap inside so i'm glad you are posting about it. when the nights seem so miserable, you should always come back and post and update. somewhere out there, there is someone going through what you are and anything you post about me help them knowing they aren't alonehappy birthday anyway! maybe it's a day when you can decide to make a new start. when chapters of our lives close, other doors always open up. you just have to be able to see those doors rather than focus on the things that can be easy distractions.
