It, like the army system, got moved over to our new gaming site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The reason for this is that it used up too much of this site's bandwidth and resources.

I like it. I especially like the font you used for cmatcmextra and the general choice of colours. Thanks for the gift, I'll try and make you one soon -
9 Ways To Promote You Site Tutorial
electriic ink replied to alexia's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Err no he hasn't. He copied it from another site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Notice any similarity? -
Here's the url to some desktop wallpaper that I've done for myself: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ There's one problem that I can see and that's that Insert Name Here should go from light to dark not dark to light. For some reason it won't allow me to put the gradient the other way. Baring in mind this is the first wallpaper I've created please give your comments...

If you want my honest opinion...Your website has to best I've seen on Xisto. The layout in nice, clear and organised and the content isn't half good either Keep up the great work. Usually I can find criticisms for websites but for your's I can't find any. One to bookmark.Rating: 11.5/10Great job. Keep up the good work!

Both <? <?php are acceptable ways of starting php. I don't know why but most people tend to start php like this { <?php } but I tend to start it the other way because it's faster to type. Your script will work using both of these methods. Butphp must always end with ?> never php?>

You don't need all of that. What your asking can be solved very simply. Just use the following code: <a href="#" title="Word definition">Word you want to define</a> That's it. Nothing else. Now when the user puts there mouse over the word, a little piece of text comes up with the word's definition.

Prayer Sucks! what the heck do you people do it for?
electriic ink replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in The Vent
Same here. Prayer doesn't suck, actually it's been very helpful. I have been brought up as a Christian and so prayer is "natural". I never believed it would work until I tried it years ago and when I did, it helped me overcome some major problems for me at the time. I don't know how it does this, maybe it's just knowing that someone's there to guide you through or maybe God sees your situation and changes the course of time and if you don't believe in God what do you believe in? -
Hi james_666. Hope all goes well in your move to Australia! No, the better the quality of your post the more credits you get. I've posted one recently which got me 8 credits, so if you make posts like that, you can achieve hosting easily! Anyhoo good like with your world domination. If you do achieve it, North America would be nice Looking forward to seeing your website and hope you become an active and respected member

Multiple Explosions Rock London Blasts in London
electriic ink replied to cse-icons's topic in General Discussion
About 25 minutes ago police confirmed 33 have died. All this happening a mere hour's train journey away from us. I really shocked. Nothing like this ever happened to London before. Someone said this was meant be something to do with G8 and others with us winning the bid. I think it's more to do with the G8. If anyone wants up-to-date news on this it can be found here -

Xcitem.com Check my new site out
electriic ink replied to fsastraps's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Here's a good example of a jukebox. The images are included with it is aswell. It may be advertised as a midi jukebox but you can easily change it so it plays mp3s instead. Also to stop users right clicking and viewing the source so they can download your music, place oncontextmenu="return false"; in your body tag. ---------------------- As for your site, you should make the keywords at the top of your page smaller, perhaps font size 1. Additionally the grey table background doesn't fit in with your blue and black colour scheme. Maybe should make the text in that table orange and the background colour blue. Also the search button should say something, maybe search or go. I also think you should try and fix the left to right scrollbars. They are there (ie6) and should somehow be gone. I like the graphics and the layout of the site. The way it's presented makes it very easy to navigate. I give it 7/10. Well done -
PHP is another and more advanced way of writing a web pages. All pages must end with the file extension .php just like when you write html, all pages must end with .htm / .html . There are lots of other languages which do roughly the same things as php, such as JSP, ASP and PERL. Xisto has all of these languages except ASP. The great thing about these languages is that they are server-sided which means that they run at the server so, unlike javascript, the user doesn't have to download any extra files to look at your php webpages. You may have seen urls in many webpages such as this ( http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/?id=1 ) Our good friend php helps us to construct these types of pages. HTML cannot do this: Lets start with the basics. All PHP code must have <? ?> (shown in red) round it just like all html coding but have <html> </html> round it. This tells php that there is gonna be some php code coming. Now the part in blue and black basically says to php that if in the url id=1 can be found it must perform the following action. The very important parts you must notice are the brackets the two equal signs and the {. This may seem very compucated to someone who has not done php before (I know this) but I promise you you will get the hang of it. But, there's still more to come! The part in green tells us what php must do if id=1 is found in the url. This says echo "Hello";. Echo tells php it must write something. What it must write can be found in the speech marks. Notice ; is one the end. This is mandatory and echo will not work without this. Now we have the }. This tells php to stop performing the action if id=1 can be found in the url. Next is the red ?> and this tells php that there's no more php code till <? is found again, if it is found again. If you wish to learn more about php. Here are some good resources: http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp http://php.net/ Hope you understood it cmatcmextra

Well, I hear GIMP is a very popular free graphics program ( http://www.gimp.org/ ) I have never used it myself, I use Paint Shop Pro instead ( http://www.paintshoppro.com/en/?utm_source=jasc&utm_medium=redirect&utm_term=/en/&utm_campaign=jasc? ) which, if you're willing to part with £100, is better.

Here's the newest sig that I have made... Please do not post a comment unless you can back it up with a reason. For example I hate it because it's too plain is better than I hate it. This does not mean you cannot post unless you write 5 lines, it just means do not post unless you have a reason. Thank you.

Oops! Sorry about that. I'll go and remove it now, I thought that only applied for posts. That does make you wonder. Some day the advertisers will run out of money because too many people are clicking on a link and hitting the X button and there goes another chunk of money. There's always a catch...

It's not very eyecatching and you haven't put in the best features of this hosting service. Lots of hosts offer php, perl and mysql; but do they offer *unlimited mysql databases, *unlimited subdomains, *cpanel10, *fantastico 2, *free web hosting support forums? It needs colourful graphics, a background colour/picture, eye-catching text and perhaps a small animation. Next to a banner with the aforementioned features it wouldn't stand much of a chance.

My Next Creation cmatcmextra
electriic ink replied to electriic ink's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I used Paint ShopPro 9 to create this image. -
This is my next signature creation... Please don't post one line comments such as "i like it" or "that's a rubbish sig". Try and say what parts of it you like and what parts you dislike so I can improve my sig for next time Other than that please post comments good or bad...

What's wrong with this theme? I like it and it's definetly better than the default theme. Instead of completely changing the theme to your liking, perhaps it would be a idea to have a selection of themes avalible and anyhow the theme the admins choose can never please everyone.

It is not possible to have include ""; inside a variable. One way you could still have this is by using a function() instead. I am going to create a function called top_leftool to replace your variable $top_leftool. Now instead of writing $top_leftool when you write this text just write top_leftool() instead! Here is the code: <?// Set up info for left column on the top page:// It should begin with html tag <td> and finish with tag </td>function top_leftool() {echo "<td width='195' bgcolor='#eeeeee' valign='top'><table width='100%' bgcolor='#777799' border=0 cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#ffffff' size='-1'> <b>MMORPG Trade Center</b></font><TABLE WIDTH='100%' border='0' cellspacing='1' cellpadding='4' ><tr><td bgcolor='#ffffff'> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#000099' size='-1'><P ALIGN='JUSTIFY'>Welcome to MMORPG Trade Center. Please post your in game item only in the correct game section.</td></tr></table></td></tr></table><p><table width='100%' bgcolor='#777799' border=0 cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#ffffff' size='-1'> <b>News</b></font><TABLE WIDTH='100%' border='0' cellspacing='1' cellpadding='4' ><tr><td bgcolor='#ffffff'> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#000099' size='-1'> ";/* Now lets stop writing the first part and INCLUDE the news */include "showonline.php";/* Great, we've included the news so lets carry of writing! */echo "<P ALIGN='JUSTIFY'></font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table><p><table width='100%' bgcolor='#777799' border=0 cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#ffffffff' size='-1'> <b>Other</b></font><TABLE WIDTH='100%' border='0' cellspacing='1' cellpadding='4' ><tr><td bgcolor='#ffffff'> <font FACE='ARIAL, HELVETICA' color='#000099' size='-1'><P ALIGN='JUSTIFY'>Other Links Goes Here</font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></td>"; } /* End the function */?> That should be it. Just right top_leftool() where you want the news to go

Well, here's my next attempt at a sig. It may not very good, but here it is... Any comments
