Some More Marvel Renders
biscuitrat replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yeah, that's my only complaint too. There's just not so much detail in these, and the forms are blury. 7/10 -
I'm guessing your full name is actually Nicholas so:Yours was actually pretty easy. Since I do Latin and Greek etymology, I got the "Nike" part at the front. Nike was the goddess of victory. Here's what Behindthename.com had to say:NICHOLASGender: MasculineUsage: English, FrenchPronounced: NI-ko-las (English), nee-ko-LA (French) [key]Extra Info: Popularity, Related Names, Namesakes, Websites, CommentsOptions: Contribute Information, Add to ListFrom the Greek name Νικολαος (Nikolaos) which meant "victory of the people" from Greek νικη (nike) "victory" and λαος (laos) "people". Saint Nicholas was a 4th-century bishop from Anatolia who, according to legend, saved the daughters of a poor man from lives of prostitution. He is also known as Santa Claus (from Dutch Sinterklaas), the bringer of Christmas presents. He is the patron saint of children, sailors and merchants, and Greece and Russia. Nicholas was also the name of two czars of Russia and five popes.Enjoy

Milkshake What kind of fruit mixes do you prefer?

Is Homosexuality Right Or Wrong? your views
biscuitrat replied to wakelim's topic in General Discussion
Please don't start another political topic. There are so many more that are already open. The more you start, the more people are going to respond. You're never going to get the answers you want because you'll get the same amount from all sides, and it'll only go on forever. For one, I'm extremely liberal about certain things, and while I like hearing other sides argue, I don't like seeing them crush certain options and escapes for people.Politics = *sigh* -
Xmen Renders 3 news ones
biscuitrat replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Gambit's easily the best X-Men. Props for numbah 1 -
I absolutely hate the movies. They leave out so many plot details, and the acting's only subpar. If they cut out all the angst and put more story into it, it'd be sooooo much better.Let's see: Sorcerer's Stone: Fell asleep shortly after they were led into the castleChamber of Secrets: Fell asleep during one of the random hallway scenesPrisoner of Azkaban: Would have fallen asleep, but I had too much caffeine. The Goblet of Fire looks like it'll be the same way. It'll probably have the Yule Ball as the highlight instead of the actual plot, judging by the trailer. This is why books >>>>>> movies 90% of the time.

Well, for a lot of musicians, the Gold Cup festival (must be just a Texas thing) has you perform by a judge, and you only get a trophy if you get perfect scores three years straight :/

Just hit Ctrl Alt Del, and then go to the processes tab. I think that's what you want to do :/

It seems really cold but I've never been too fond of using the same tones in anything. It might have looked better with selective hue and saturation. But not bad - 8/10

But wasn't that what I said? Never mind - It would probably be best to just read a cPanel tutorial online so that you can grasp what the random folders are. My advice to you is that if you don't know what it is or what it does, you probably shouldn't mess with it too much because it could screw things up royally. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Corrected BB code.

My name is Ranjani which means "Bringer of Happiness" or "Entertainer" in Tamil or Sanskrit, an Indian language.

I'm a pianist and have been for about 6 or 7 years (I started late :/) and I also sing. I've been wanted to learn the guitar but I haven't gotten past C. The acoustic we have at home is pretty old and out of tune and my brother's rarely home with his. It's probably not my thing anyway, but it'd be nice to learn :/I also play trombone in the marching band, but I'm not especially good with it. I just grasp rhythm easily enough to keep me in a not too sucky chair.

Fantastico is a set of PHP scripts that you can install from your control panel. Not exactly sure about the others, but they're probably for the running of the control panel in some form. The only folders you'll really need are the public_html or the www. The rest you probably shouldn't worry about.

Warcraft Iii And Frozen Throne yeah I finally bought it
biscuitrat replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in Computer Gaming
I love both games and anything Blizzard. You have to play both of them or you're not getting the full story/complete experience. You also need to try World of Warcraft because it rocks. Utterly rocks. -
Dreamweaver Has anyone ever used dreamweaver?
biscuitrat replied to muzicmistro's topic in Programming
Wouldn't you just make the form post to a database? Not sure about the technicals since I haven't used MySQL in a long time. -
Man, tetanus shots suck. Especially when your older brother doesn't believe that your arm is starting to swell and punches you in it O_O. But enjoy the forums, at any rate.

I think we're actually the noisy ones in our neighborhood, but it's only because our houses have these really thin walls and windows. Our old house had like...hurricane proof everything. It rocked because you could scream as loud as you wanted without people hearing you. I think you should talk to them about getting their dog trained, or having them let their dog out back before they go to sleep or something. That's what we do for my dog. We have this little outdoor patio area with doggie door and she goes and chills out there when she has to go outside. With training and with aging, the dog becomes more docile. But seriously, go yell at them with cops behind you if this happens a lot. That ought to change things.

Show Credits In User Info Whyn its not done yet?
biscuitrat replied to sader's topic in Web Hosting Support
I mean, would you really want people looking in on how many credits you have in your account? If you made it so that only admins or mods could see it, should there be a technical difficulty (which I'm sure they can do anyway), then that would probably be all right. After all, it's on the general page. You can refresh the shoutbox, check your credits, and pick a new forum at the same time. -
Some Random Artwork Illustrations for my story
biscuitrat replied to biscuitrat's topic in Art & Creativity
Why thank you! The hair was actually the hard part because every layer I added on had to be a different opacity, color, whatever. The eyes are probably my favorite too. I'm not very good with noses and mouths which is what my friends have told me. I tend to make them extremely simple because anything else looks like crap when I draw it. The clothes are supposed to be earthy, sort of plain - just like her character. Her sleeves actually looked like plastic before I was told to blur them out. I wish so much that I could make a decent full body shot but as clothes tend to be wrinkled, and as I'm not good with wrinkles or textures, I probably couldn't pull that off with color. It's next on my list though. Thank you so much for the comments! I never thought of it as professional, more as borderline because I haven't had any real art classes to my credit, but thanks for the encouragement. This is actually one of three that I've finished. The other two are far too ugly to showcase here yet so I'll be posting those a bit later. The funny thing on this one was that I redid the skin, hair, and dress this morning because the old version didn't look the same. I accidently did the new skin on the same layer as the whole picture (I couldn't find the .png of it to seperate it by layer) so it covered the original free falling strands. I had to redraw them and they look considerably worse :/ This was the picture I edited. -
I remember always starting on the eyes on these. I have a whole gallery of progress pics in trying to get that eye right and then the face around it. This is Murron. She's the daughter of a woman who hides her unjust ways behind her role as a wisewoman in the village. Murron only knows what she has grown up with, and with the growing tensions, she's unsure and unsteady as the days pass. I did this in Fireworks, so you'll probably notice the lack of proper brushing or textures that you might find with Photoshop. Took about an hour max because of all the edits. Also, if the proportions, textures, or figures look kind of iffy, just know that I've never had room in my schedule to take a decent figure drawing class. The last one I remember was in 5th grade, so I got tips from my artist friends on this. Enjoy

I agree that the background is kind of odd compared to the dragon. I think that less muted colors on that will help bring out the very bright dragon. Otherwise, nice work! 7/10

I don't believe any of that. If parents think that their children are killing people because of video games, they're pretty screwed over. Video games aren't real to most people. When you're playing GTA and stealing cars, have you ever thought of stealing an actual car off the street and watching yourself get little stars as you run from the cops? It's not virtual reality. It's just how the game is played. If parents can't take care of their own children at school or at home, and don't notice obvious psychological disorders, they really need help themselves. I'm just plain disgusted about idiotic parents still thinking things like that to keep their precious children out of trouble. It's this same kind of thing that made Sesame Street's Cookie Monster spew out his nutritional mumbo jumbo instead of the traditional cookie song. I mean, we all grew up with that. Stupid parents - just because your kids are overweight doesn't mean you can cut out a generation's favorite childhood song to keep yourselves away from persecution. Finis.

Present Gift For Johnny the 2nd
biscuitrat replied to hulunes's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
It looks all right. You might want to blend the clouds filter with another one just so it doesn't leave those blotches of black like on the left. The text could be accented a bit more by an outline or by another texture - the current one seems bland and tends to blend into the background. I agree that the text "Gift From...." should be either lighter, smaller, or more hidden (Johnny has some good examples of these on his gift sigs). And it might help to get a color scheme from the actual image so that it doesn't look so bizarre when put together.6/10 -
White Tiger Sig This is Sig #50 WOOHOOO :P
biscuitrat replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Not bad, but the text is still kinda hard to read. You could maybe lighten it or change the colors. It's not just me, and my monitor settings are pretty bright so no trouble there. Just a suggestion.Otherwise, it looks pretty nice. I would check the translation with people who have taken or actually speak Japanese just to make sure the sig is accurate. 8/10 -
Could someone tell me why the censors bleeped the word "j e r k"? How on earth is that a curse word? I am greatly saddened.
