Really nice video and a terrific robot, it can really be useful and the method used to move is impressing :DBut as for espionage, it seems to have some kind of a wire or something like that. Moreover it seemed to be quite slow, but still impressing

If you're searching for a free alternative to convert and burn DVD movies from video files, there's a good tool for it called DVD flick.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ free and can convert different files to DVD, but it usually takes some time to do it, depends on the computer specifications. It is using ImgBurn to burn the converted files, but I personally don't check the checkbox to burn, I convert the files and later burn the DVD with ImgBurn myself. :)So it's really a good tool for FREE.

Skype / Xampp Port Conflict How to overcome the problem
Quatrux replied to jlhaslip's topic in General Discussion
I also had this issue before, apache couldn't start on localhost, so I restarted windows and it worked, thought ok, but as I always turn on WAMP services when I need and not on startup, it didn't work again, that is when I understood that Skype is using port 80 as alternative. So now everytime I install Skpye, I remove the checkbox and don't permit it to use port 80 at all and don't have these kind of problems anymore as I don't see any reason for skype to use port 80 at all at my machine, same with 443 for https.Usually the alternative 8118 or 8080 is also used by other services. To check which ports are in use you can use NMAP or NETSTAT if you don't have NMAP on your computer:In command line/shell just type: netstat -an or netstat -oand if you have NMAP you can just call it:nmap -sS 127.0.0.1and you'll get the services running on ports on that ip address, which is your computer.NMap is a port scanning tool where netstat is not. -

As I know knowledustra forums has MyCents up and running? Will need to go there and check, hope things will be fixed soon and the system will go up and online once again! -
I liked the old interface, I used to use it and know where everything is placed, later I tried the new interface, it's much more modern, but at first I really hated it and could navigate and understand how to use it But with time I got used to it and think that it might be even better once you get used to it, I use some kind of a skin, I think it has something to do with beach, the colors are nice.I had a problem with google groups, I got an email and as I used to read them from top to bottom, but now when where's more text, you need to click on the person to read the full text, it's a bit annoying, first I didn't know it and didn't read all the email which got me a bit in trouble. :DNow I know

I used to use download accelerators when my Internet connection and ISP was much worse, but now with such speeds and that I don't have a bandwidth limit, I don't really care if it will download in a minute or in a hour.Usually those download accelerators when download take a lot of resources and downloads the file faster, but makes your PC slower, at least from my experience, but of course you can tweak the settings that it would work like you want it to work for you. Here is a good list of download accelerators which doesn't have spyware and most of them are free:http://filehippo.com/software/file_transfer/download_managers/

I used to use Comodo Firewall as it's free and used to install it on other computers with the setting that to block everything and only allow when something is asking for something and if I know that program then I always allow for it to do something, it's quite good as a firewall solution and I didn't have problems with it.

Welcome to the forums, even though it's a bit late, but it's better late than never.

I used to use NOD32 and it was one of the best and I think still it's one of the best products out there as it's light, but at work they've made us use Kaspersky as they won the competition. It's not bad, but when poorly configured it's really slow while scanning, I mean it needs a lot of resources.Anyway, for free at home I use Microsoft Security Essentials which is really good for most of the things. And there is a nod32 online scanner, it's called ESET free online scanner, which is quite good:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ recommended it for some of my friends and it fixed their computers for free with the technology of ESET :DFor it to work, you need to use it through internet explorer and it will require to install something for the first time to work, I've tried it myself and had no problems with it.

I also think that Money is not really bad, but how Money is used can be bad, the economic model also doesn't seem to work, especially with all those speculations with money, banks and other financial institutions which speculate with money. :DAlso all those loans seems to be good, but also bad!

Remote Desktop Connection In Windows Vista
Quatrux replied to soleimanian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
By standalone version you mean the you have the program in a zip file archive, you extract it and it works on your friends computer? So it's the same as portable version, which you can run from an usb disk.I usually like to connect by remote desktop, it's really much faster and has more quality, easier to work with the remote machine, but sometimes you can't do it, due to the computer does not have a static ip and you can't connect to it or the isp or router or something is blocking the remote desktop.Once I had a situation like that and that is when I started using TeamViewer, it's really a great solution if you can't use Remote Desktop and what's even better it's free for personal use.TeamViewer and Dropbox are those apps/services which I really think internet was made for I mean, it's a really useful service. -
Need Peace? Stop Spam/scam Callers? No Problemo!
Quatrux replied to iGuest's topic in General Discussion
I also hate those spam/scam and adverting calls, it would be a really good idea to blow a horn to them :DI once said I am busy right now and she asked when she could call, I said that never and hang up and she didn't call me anymore with the advertisement anymore .I wonder how they get our phones? Or they ring random numbers? or maybe they got it from some systems there I am registered and put my personal phone number...But those kind of calls are really annoying. I wish I could call the cops that they would never ever call me. -
Happy Birthday OpaQue :DHave a nice one

I see that fine looking logos for Xisto and Xisto have appeared, well done! The only thing I can say, that on Xisto mycents have updated, but on Xisto, for over 3 days it seems that mycents are the same even though I post, hope it will update and I won't loose any of those cents.

Yes, Komodo IDE is not free, but Komodo Edit is free and open source, but it has no features you need though.. Komodo Edit has no features of an IDE, like debugging, DOM viewer, interactive shells, and source code control integration.Don't know what to offer more

You want the download manager for Linux or for Windows? Or maybe for other operating system? For windows you could take a look here:http://filehippo.com/software/file_transfer/download_managers/

I guess you would want to use Eclipse, NetBeans for PHP, but as I understand, they're not as light as you want them to be. Personally, I think Komodo is the best IDE for PHP for FREE and it works on Linux and is similar to PHPDesigner7. Here is a link I found, for PHP Designer alternatives on Linux: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You can use PHP Designer with Wine on Linux But I think it will take some extra resource rather than using a native linux IDE, but anyway here is the instruction: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ So have you tried ActiveState Komodo IDE? http://www.activestate.com/komodo-edit When you say that you want an IDE which is connected with a small webserver or LAMPP, what you mean? That it connects to an FTP or that it has a real time PHP debugging? like in PHP Designer? Here is some list of IDE's on Linux: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Scientific Problem. Or philosophy one.
Quatrux replied to moongumery's topic in Science and Technology
You can't do that, when you will pull the rope, it will take much longer for the other person to feel it than speed of light, it's simple physics as matter, whenever you move it, moves. Like when you change the position of a pencil from one side to another, even if it would be possible to have such a rope, when you would pull it, you would need to wait billion of years for the other person to feel it. It's something I saw on troll physics though, for example: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Or this: http://www.spacerat.meteornet.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/ftl.png Usually troll physics is really funny -
When is NumLock-caps lock- Scroll lock on?
Quatrux replied to soleimanian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yes, that's my error in my post, ctrl+right or ctrl+left just navigates to the start word, use shift+right or shift+left to select text and ctrl+shift+right to select words I mistyped ctrl with shift in the post, but cannot edit it anymore. ;[ -
Even though I have a mixed black Schnauzer with a long hair and really love him, I like a husky dog breed.Whenever I see a Siberian Husky, I really like it, it's an amazing look having dog, the blue eyes, the fur But it needs to run a lot everyday, so it's not so easy to have a dog like that.

Knowledgesutra Forums Upgraded To Version 3.2 [resolved]
Quatrux replied to velma's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
Nice work on the update, for me personally it's much easier to post now, the forums are much more dynamic and using the new features of web which is really cool. The thing which I still not used to that both forums are identical now, Xisto and Xisto, maybe something could be done about that? Like a different color scheme or something, or I can change it myself? -
