  1. It's not often that I make or drink shakes. I like chocolate, even though it's not so healthy. The pineapple/banana combination is certainly good. I also remember having kiwi fruit milkshake at one time.
  2. Welcome aboard, godglitcher/chris! Well, it looks like you've found a great community here at Trap 17. There are a lot of topics and threads that'll suit your interest, so I hope you can come back often. Take a look around, post away and you'll build up the hosting credits very quickly!Have fun and see you on the boards!
  3. I have a word or two to say about the Harry Potter films that I've seen so far (only two...I can't comment on Prisoner of Azkaban since I haven'T watched it yet)The first movie (Philosopher's Stone) introduces the characters well and follows the story very well, even if some of the details were left out. To be sure, the child acting got to me a bit, but some of the supporting cast did a great job (Alan Rickman as Snape, for example). The second movie (Chamber of Secrets) is even better than the first. The characters have matured, and the overall tone is a darker one this time around. The actor who plays the title character has really come into his own in this film, and generally the film itself qualifies as good drama.I haven't seen Prisoner yet, but judging from the previews last year the tone of the series gets darker as it progresses.
  4. Well, as the saying goes: "Everything old is new again." That cartoon certainly rings a bell. I remember watching that show on Saturday mornings back the early 80's. Wonder how it'll look now with the upcoming movie.
  5. Welcome aboard, lotrfan! I think you've found a great community and there are lots of topics/threads that'll suit your interest. Building up hosting credits isn't as hard as you think...it depends on how often you take part on the forums. Anyway. I hope you enjoy your stay here and become an active member. Cheers!
  6. The people who live next door at our apartment building must be working night shifts, since we often hear slamming of doors and whatnot. On top of that, they always leave their garbage lying in a pile in front of their apartment and very rarely take it to the collection spot. Anyway, it won't matter soon since we'll be moving out from the building soon.
  7. Welcome aboard, Chris! (Like the name, by the way!) I think you'll find lots of interesting and helpful people on the boards. As well, you're bound to find some topics that suit your interests. So...enjoy your stay and post whenever you can! Later!
  8. Hey there! Just thought I'd throw this travel-related question to you: What country do you want to visit the most? When I lived in Canada, I wanted to visit the England and Japan. (The U.S. is just a hop, step and a jump away...so it wasn't difficult to travel to any part of that country) Now that I've visited London, England and have worked and lived in Japan, I've also had the opportunity to visit Korea, Thailand and Bali. So...what's next? Hopefully, I'd like to visit Singapore, Australia and New Zealand while I'm on this side of the world. How about the rest of you?
  9. Actually, I recently purchased an iPod Shuffle. It does have its drawbacks (i.e. no screen to show the artist and track), overall it's a good buy. As well, the 1 GB space is pretty much all I need as I don't travel a lot these days.Another plus is that when you plug it into a USB slot, it automatically recharges!

  12. Wish I could spend that much time on Trap 17. I usually spend from about 30 minutes to 2 hours at best per day. Maybe I'll have some more free time soon and I'll add another hour or two to my average. I wouldn't say that I'm a total addict, but if there are topics/discussions that catch my eye, then I'm sure to spend more time here.

  17. I have two computers at my apartment. One very old Pentium MMX (133, I believe...it's a Toshiba model), with 64MB Ram and a 2GB hard drive...and it also has Windows ME. One relatively new Fujitsu FMV Biblo (celeron processor) that runs Windows XP, 256MB RAM and a 40GB hard drive.
  18. On my yahoo account, I'm only around 1%. With gmail, I don't think I've even reached 1% yet. (I only used 1 MB so far...then again I delete any old message I don't need). Before yahoo and gmail, I had (shudder) lycos mail (only 5 MB and now they placed annoying banner and pop-up ads). Perhaps I should just not sign in to that account for a month so that they can cancel it.
  19. Just checked out the TSN website and there's some great news. It looks like the NHL lockout will end on July 21st, if all goes well. Finally, we'll get to see hockey again this fall - along with on-ice rule changes to boot! Feel free to post your thoughts, all you sports fans.
  20. Often when I'm blue, I tend to feel moody and frustrated that things are just going as well as I want them to. For me, the best remedy is usually to talk it over with a friend. Usually it helps take my mind off of it a bit by sharing the problem and discuss possible solutions together.
  21. Actually, those desktops don't look that bad. I've seen the entire screen covered with shortcuts, etc. No wonder the computer is running slow!
  22. Just checked the thinksecret site out. They're eliminating all the monochrome screen iPods in their lineup. Glad to hear that they are not changing the price much. In the meantime, I'll be upgrading my iTunes to 4.9 - which now includes Podcast.
  23. Unless you can get Photoshop through some "connections", or if your computer already has Photoshop Elements pre-installed, you'd be hard-pressed to find a "free" Photoshop. As brandice mentioned, there's the GIMP - which is the next best thing, in my opinion.
  24. I have to admit I was a bit scared at first of putting contact lenses in my eyes. It was quite a task trying to prevent the eyelids from closing and putting the lens in at the same time. I persevered, though, and I know I can put them on without even thinking about it.
