External Disk problemVirus On Your Flash Disk? (usb Devices)I have a problem with my USB too. Avira anitvirus located and deleted it but since then my external storage device cant open. When I try to open it from My Computer it tells me to select program to open file. If I remove the USB cable and re-enter it founds the new device and I am able to open it from autorun. The trojan was TR/Spy.105472.F and some other similar named files. What can I do to make my external disk run like before? You described it exactly like I see it. I am unable to get the music to stop even by going to Task Manager because WMP is not there but the music is playing away. Very frustrating. I have tons of RAM, tons of free hard drive space. And unless WMP updated automatically this problem just started happening recently with no new version of the software. You know what else I just thought about? Yeah the prices are super ridiculous, but you're going to pay for remains either way. I work at a 24 hour emergency animal clinic and when we send off for remains, it costs people minimum a few hundred bucks. The urn, special engravings, holding the body, this, that, etc. Etc. It's still a business people, they're just trying to give us something we would really have strong feelings about. You all know this is true because everyone has such a set way of looking at this. "It's so wrong," or, "Wow, super cool!" Just because it's not really your thing, you don't have to log onto some website on the internet and state your set opinion on this specific topic because it's so not your thing... Just chill people! NTLDR is mising AND CANNtldr Is MissingSorry for the lengthy question but I want to give an accurate description as possible so hopefully someone can help me. Last night I decided to reformat my hard drive and start from scratch (Toshiba Satellite notebook utilizing Windows XP Home Edition) at first I tried to run the XP CD right from the start menu. It DID boot up at which point I was asked for a product key. I then remembered ?wait I can?t do it from here I have to do it from the start up.?I shut the computer down and restarted it. Upon entering the setup I could not delete the partition (it said files were being used) this led me to think that I was in fact still booting from the hard drive and not the CD. I COULD NOT get it to boot from the CD. (Using a generic XP CD) I even changed the primary boot up drive to CD-ROM as the primary instead of the hard drive. Still no luck, the hard drive was then extracted and stuck into an external case and then formatted via another computer.The PROBLEM???Upon sticking the hard drive back in I am now receiving a message that states NTLDR (NT loader is missing) press Ctrl+ALT+Delete to restart. This would seem normal because the hard drive is no longer there being that I formatted it from the external case. So I assumed two things, either it is still trying to boot off the hard drive or the CD-ROM is bad (however I don?t believe it?s a bad CD drive because if you recall I was able to boot from the start up menu at which point I was asked for a product key) So I am assuming the CD drive is good. Still to be safe I did take out and swap the CD drive (thinking it might be bad) but still same message as above. I replaced it back with the original CD drive because I am pretty sure it is not the drive. So now I am stuck. I can?t get it to boot from the CD drive no matter what I do Any suggestions? OMG!! A human being eating another one. What world are we in. I will never go to a Thailand restaurant anymore. Even go to Thailand for vacation free or not. I am still sick of the images I saw. I don't know why the UN and other Human Rights Organizations do not say something against that. This should not be happening in this World in this 21st century. I am surprised why Thailand has natural disaster often. This should be taken as a punishment of them eating God's children. Howto ?I have had problems with this when I want to run a script that needs to be CHMOD 777 via the FTP but I can so what else can I do for this one file I have set all permission in security tab to allow and it still dose not work.
