Annoyed over people only playing 1 of the games commenting on thisWarcraft3.vs.starcraftHi I'm a player who plays both games (allthough I must admit my warcraft 3 skill highly exceeds my skill in starcraft)And I just wanna say a lot of the things you say is bull****, warcraft cant be won entirely on macromanagement thats true but neither can starcraft, allthough u can easily win warcraft with a hero lvl 1 with the right macro, plus commenting on the 5 high lvl heros comment over, hero cap is 3 nabb + ANY1 WHO FAILS TO BEAT COMPUTER IN ANY GAME SHOULDNT COMMENT!Allthough playing the computer in starcraft is far easier then in warcraft, I can beat the computer in starcraft without producing workers lawl, just send the first worker over to his base and harass, he will charge u the whole game, with good micro u can make soldiers while he is busy chasing your worker... and thats even in the latest patch Over to more importent matter: both games have sufficient micro/macro but games such as starcraft require a better macro due to the more epic stage, the drop tact goes over the whole map and it requires al ot more to notice every thing, the problom with this? the game just doesnt support itself, they've made the game on an epic stage but still u can't controll more then 12 units at a time?Its the same rule for warcraft 3 only u wont use more then7-8 units.Starcraft have a lot more units then warcraft as previusly mentioned meaning microing them all perfect will require more, but actually starcraft, not having a hero eliminates the need to micro em perfect, in warcraft I wanna cry when I loose a worker to noobiness, in starcraft its a small economic setback nothing more xp makes the micro count! but again the xp system is what makes drophacking not work in warcraft (that and net), sacrificing 2 soldiers in warcraft will mean so much more then sacrifing 8 zerglings in starcraft, also the workers in warcraft lasts a bit longer And yeah I goddamn know its an old post ^^ -reply by Warcraft player

Jaunty boots with grub legacy on a MacLinux On An External Hard DriveManaged to create an external Jaunty boot disk on a Mac, but unsure about the boot process involvedI have an iMac 7.1 with a Leo/Jaunty dual boot. I was able to clone my internal Jaunty install to a bootable external disk (with grub legacy, not grub2), but I'd be happy if somebody could explain the boot process to me - if there is an explanation intelligible to the layman (Please no references to the grub.Enbug.Org pages which are fairly hardcore and which I intend to take my time in pursuing. I also know the basic stuff about installing and repairing grub, which works exactly the same way as for Windows, so I need no absolute beginners' instructions.)The external boot process is somewhat confusing; when I boot the Mac with the alt key pressed and the disk plugged in (no rEFIt installed, nor needed), I get the normal EFI menu with my Mac volume and "Windows" (no orange usb icon), and the usual "booting from (hd0,2)" message, but the external volume will boot. (With no disk plugged in the internal volume boots normally.)This disk will also boot (with rEFIt) from my MacBook Pro which has no internal Linux (yet; waiting for Karmic). The boot message this time is "booting from (hd0,1)". I read somewhere that rEFIt shifts the device identifier, but then the output should be (hd0,1) in both cases.My grub setup for the internal install is (typed from the live CD):>root (hd0,2)>setup (hd0)For the external disk (typed from the desktop, booted into the internal volume):>root (hd1,1) #that is /dev/sdb2; did not delete the EFI partition, assuming that the #Mac's EFI will look for the MBR there>setup (hd1)So far, so logical. From the point of view of a relative newbie all this looks like a kind of workaround in EFI to trick the Mac into mistaking the external volume for an internal one. Well, it works, but it's not exactly elegant, and of course it would not allow multiple boot volumes on a single disk as on the Mac.Incidentally, the home partition on the external disk is hfs+ formatted, which works perfectly well (installed hfsprogs). Our school has just started enforcing new PDA rules and regulations. These rules state that anyone who shows any more affection than holding hands shall be punished. Last year, my significant other and I used to show minor displays of affection betwixt classes and such. These included: holding hands, walking with our arms around each other, and/or a brief kiss on the cheek or lips. Tell me, why is this so bad? I try not to believe that these rules are being enforced to stop this. What I wish to think they are trying to stop is the excessive, over-affectionate displays. You all know what I'm talking about. One of the many things that can ruin your day at school... Seeing a couple "macking" in the halls. What schools are trying to stop is this, and anything worse than this. This is not a display of affection! This is simply a display of hormones and sexuality. If maybe they were called PDH's or PDS's I wouldn't have a problem with them. You may say that school is not the right place for showing affection either because it is a place to learn and become educated, but what are you learning in the four minutes you have to get to class? Why not show a little affection to your girlfriend/boyfriend? I know it makes my day so much better and puts me in a good mood; therefore, I learn better because its easier to concentrate when I'm in a good mood. To conclude, I believe that there should be restrictions on showing "affection". They just shouldn't go overboard. I think I should be able to kiss my girlfriend goodbye after school without it seeming disrespectful to anyone because that is not the way I am meaning for it to be taken.

AMD vs Intel and waste heat energyPentium D Vs Pentium 4 As far as waste heat is concerned, unless it is disabling your system due to excess levels, it is not an issue at all, none, zero, zilch. 90w @ 15% loss of wasted heat vs 100w @ 15% loss of wasted heat means nothing in levels at this range. There is no health issues at all unless it is at such a level your system bursts into flames. The amount of lost BTUs lost is irrelevant unless it is at an amount that can be re harnessed to offset the amount of which is used which, at 90w @ 15% loss will only give you 13.5w and, @ 100w gives you 15w. Again, I am totally confused why 'Waste Heat' or 'Waste Energy' @ these minute numbers are even mentioned as the are in no way relevant. As far as Intel vs AMD, I now have 14 fairly new and new PCs and Laptops. I'm not sure what most people are doing with their computers but, we do everything from heavy CAD and business to graphics and gaming. With the newer Intel and AMD processors that we have in our unit, and we have them all, with all the hype about the new Intel or, all the Hype about the new 64 AMDs, we have noticed BOTH companies have gotten their act together and BOTH make great processors. We have never had an issue of running our units 24-7 as long as you are able to regularly have all unnecessary files and junk removed and clean your disk regularly with a system such as the new Norton 360 or equivalent. KEEP UNEEDED FILES OFF THE DRIVE AND CLEAN IT REGULARLY. We never need to reboot unless it is required to complete a download or a removal. We have no problems with gaming online with all the latest games on either the better AMD or Intel. We have no issues working 3-d CAD or using heavy graphics on either AMD or Intel if both are equipped with video graphic cards of the same quality. The fact of the matter is, no matter who says Intel is the superior or, who says AMD is superior, it is a matter of your own preference. I was told over and over, AMD is the premiere in gaming and Intel is the best for CAD and business. Now that I own them all, Both are more than adequate for any of our functions. We use some AMDs for CAD and business and, we have some Intels running gaming and vise-versa and, IF they have the proper video cards and the systems are configured correctly, either should work as well as the other. Most persons that have an absolute opinion that AMD is the very best and there isn't a Intel that can match it, or that other person that swears to you they only an Intel should be used for your PC or laptop, there is a good chance they haven't owned a great deal of computers and, if they tell you,' sure I had a PC with the other processor and that's why I switched ', then they just ended up getting a AMD or an Intel that may have been a lemon or, the bigger chance is that they are not comparing apples to apples. They did not have the equivalent processor or video card or other computer applications that were equal in both units. Maybe they had a lower class AMD processor compared to a higher end Intel or verse-visa. The newer upper end Intel as well as the newer upper end AMD BOTH are great processors and all those that talk about 'who's processor is the end all of all processors' most likely has never owned a great deal of equivalent PCs at the same time to make a fully accurate statement. Trust your gut and don't skimp on a cheaper processor and then MAKE SURE ALL parts and pieces are fully compatible and, make sure you get the proper RAM and video card for the application you intend to use it for. This way you won't go wrong (aside of the occasional defective unit). Avoid trying to figure out who is best, it is far more of an issue of setting the system set up in the most advantageous way to gain the maximum performance from all those parts working in unison. yeah...Xbox 360 Live - does it only work with wireless router?Ok, so you have an xbox live account right? Have you used a computer on this same network (modem or router regardless)? I always use a standard PC to check a connection before I use a device such as XBOX, PS3 or Iphone. If you modem isn't working call tech support in India and let them run you through the 5 hour manual they have sitting on their desk. If you can't configure your router. Look up the model number on google and add the text before it "how to configure router". If you are still having problems set everything to Automatic (on the router) make sure your modem if it uses pppoe ("a login") is correct. If everything I just said is correct check your DNS as you will not be able to get out to the internet if your DNS is wrong. If you have a wireless router make sure you secure it... its just good fun not to be taken seriously I make my own path but I do use some of the ideas if one of the random just got lucky predictions happen I like to be prepared for situations if I can and reading these is fun and entertains my mind for self mental discussion and role playing, visualization skills. I don know if this is paranormal but....Paranormal ActivityWhen I was little I would find myself waking up in odd places due to the fact that I could see black figures come on to my bed. For instance one night I was try'and to sleep when I saw a figure of a squirrel climb into my window and onto my bed. I jumped off my bed, a bunk bed an cowered on the floor. I sat there just watching it until I feel asleep. The next morning I examined the window and it wasn't open.There was a tree right outside my window and I somehow justified it. It's not always squirrels I saw but most of the time I would see things, they would be animals. I've seen frogs jumping down my hallway and shadows. I feel off my bed a lot, but that might have just been me. Doesn't make much since now cause I barely move in my sleep. My mom has seen a cup be pulled across a table in the same house. Now that we have moved and I have grown older. I don't see anything anymore. The attic door keeps opening and shutting though. Jus slowl, and it creaks. The door mostly creaks when I'm alone late at night in the living room. I yell at it letting it hear that I saw it. Normally it's something like "aye get back up there" And I have had feelings like there is something in my room when I was younger and even a couple times now...But I don think its a bad one.
