  1. The text font on the first one looks cool, but I'm afraid it's just too plain. Stick with what you're using now.
  2. Some of these screenshots are kinda old, aren't they? I mean... the "Read WebMail" Option no longer gives a link to NeoMail anymore...
  3. I still can't believe that jlhaslip is ninety-nine! He seems to have such a firey passion on youth in him.Well, happy birthday, jlhaslip! I'm glad to hear someone of such an advanced age is still making himself useful in here (no offence intended). Just goes to show that older is wiser...
  4. Short, simple and to the point - just the way a tutorial should be. You've summed up the meaning of each feature very well.I wondered what the hell that SSL Manager was for...
  5. This is a very good summary of Fantastico's software and what it does. Very useful indeed.
  6. No way! The DS owns PSP without a question. The PlayStation Portable's battery power is next to crap, and there are very few games, seeing as how it seems to be more media then gaming. Plus, it's way expensive, and not as portable as the DS.Nintendo Dual Screen is the way to go!
  7. Wow, this is so convienient and cool! I really really really (continues for an hour) hope that a similar scheme gets set up here in the UK. Maybe then I can finally have some peace...
  8. Other things I reccomend that work with Firefox 2.0:* IE Tab (Allows you to switch between seeing how a website looks in FF and how it looks in IE)* NoScript (Protects you from websites using dangerous scripting)I'm surprised I wasn't notified of this because I've been testing Firefox 2.0 since Beta 2 and it usually tells me about updates. But then, it has been slow to update before...
  9. This simply isn't possible. A space shuttle can only thrust upwards while on earth, as at the height it would have to reach to be able to turn safely, the gravity would be too intense to do so. The only way this is possible is if he had gone into space in the shuttle and then touched down onto the area he wanted to get to. And then, that would be unlikely, since there would have to be adequate room for the shuttle to exert a breaking force, and I doubt you could do that near a holiday home. Also, the source of this news is not reliable, as it is not a known Major News Channel. I would assume this is a hoax.
  10. I used to use Yahoo! for my emails, but I soon switched over to MSN, because I've been using MSN for instant messaging and I found it more convienient to have your email adress and MSN name the same.Nowadays I'm using MSN Live Mail for Emails, and either MSN Messenger 7.0 with Messenger Plus!, or Windows Live Messenger Plus! for Instant Messaging, dependant on what computer I use (XP or 98).
  11. Voidless Shadows, no. An Online Operating System is part of a website, and it acts like a real computer would, but it is online so you don't need to download anything.Online Operating Systems are not actual OSes (well not yet, anyway), but they are very good nonetheless.
  12. Well, I never needed to search for anything on the web before I found out about Google. I used to use Ask Jeeves whenever I needed to search, but it soon became too crap for me, especially now it's just Ask.comI don't know how long ago it was when I first found out about Google, or how, but it's all I've ever used since. Well, unless I'm searching for the meaning of a word or the history of something, THEN I search Wikipedia (which I only recently learnt about).
  13. Same here. As soon as I read this forum I was instantly intrested in YouOS. I tried the demo and after 15 minutes and everything tested, I was registered to it. You'll never see me register to anything that fast ever again! It's just that good.
  14. Ok, can you do this for me? I want a script that can be used as a login page. When a member logs himself in using it, it logs him in to a forum but then takes him to another page, in example, the index page for a personalised area for the member. Likewise, when the member logs out, it makes him leave the forums, and then takes him back to the index of the site.Do you think you can do this? The Forum Software I use at the moment is IPB 2.0, but one for SMF 1.0.8 would be good too.
  15. I like the new CPanel, it's much smarter and more productive. However the default look they show in the demo is less than satisfactory. I'd happily use this, but only if they changed the way it looked to be a bit more stylish and professional.
  16. Magnetism! Why didn't I think of that earlier? That would repel the matter from the walls without using any matter itself!
  17. I was just beginning to think that, matak. I thoght it was a clever idea at the time, but now that I look it over, I realise it is quite illogical.
  18. I don't know how long ago it was discovered, but scientists recently have got into a lot of research about antimatter. For those of you who don't know, antimatter is a type of molecule that has the opposite properties of matter, which everything is made up of. Antimatter is powerful, but also dangerous, as it causes an explosion when it comes into contact with matter, and will cause complete annihilation of both objects, and the explosion emits a dangerous type of radiation.Anyway, scientists have proved that it's possible to channel the explosion made by antimatter into a certain shape, making it possible to be used as thrust for a spaceship. But they have a problem, because there is no way to store antimatter safely inside a ship, as the moment it came into contact with matter, it would destroy it.My idea is, what if the antimatter could be suspended in the air in a container? My idea is to make a cylinderical container with fans lining it in every direction. The fans are powerful enough to keep the antimatter away from them, but weak enough to not push it very far. The idea is that the combined force of all these fans will make the antimatter unable to move far without being bounced back in the opposite direction. In this way, the antimatter could be suspended in the air inside the container. This means it would not come into contact with the matter, and is therefore controlled. What do you think? Do you think it's a crazy idea, or is there some intelligence to it? The major concern in my idea is the air itself, to be honest. Would it work?
  19. p2p usually means peer-to-peer. In other words, it's a fileshare program. Kind of like a network. It lets you trade your files to other people over the internet. It's usually unsafe, however, as many use them to transmit spyware and viruses.
  20. Now that is a sweet signature picture. Looks very professional and skilled. And yet you make out that it was simple to make? You are some artist, my friend. I really like this.As a hint, however, the text isn't too easy to see. Try brightening it.
  21. If you are making the image generator for use in a forum, there's another method similar to this if you use IPB 2.0 or higher. In the ACP there's a section defining filetypes, if you find it it lists all the allowed extentions on the forum and their mime type. You can just change the one for png from image to application/x-httpd-php and it has the same effect as what Spectre mentions. If you do this, however, you do it at your own risk. I have used this before but not for this extension.
  22. Then does that mean this topic can now be closed? The problem has been fixed, after all...
  23. That is the smartest opinion I have heard all day, and probably the most truthful, too.
  24. It's a smart and delicious idea which I would certainately like to try. I heard a similar food was actually made in Finland 35 years ago and was quite popular, so maybe you should go about doing it yourself, because I think, what with the amount of people who like ice-cream and cookies these days, a combination of both would be very sucessful!
  25. Although I have to admit that you are right and paypal IS a big scam (which is why I don't use it), the fact that they make you pay for a "FREE" transfer is not something I would hold against them, as, after all, it IS just buisness .And at this point, I think it's good practice to say my motto: If you don't like it, leave it.
