  1. I actually have already read an article related to this last year. They already have something they are working on that does exactly what you just explained. They are in the testing stages. Last I heard they had it to the point where you can check your email just by thinking of where you want the mouse to go. It's really a rather neat concept. It was sort of challenging for them to get used to it at first but then you start to get the hang of it. Of course you have to have wired hooked up from your head to a computer though which I think is pointless unless they can make wireless sensors which they probably do. I'll see if I can find you the article.
  2. The way I see it no one has to put up their location if they don't want to, and if they do it's their choice. There is nothing in the terms that say you have to put up where you live. Just post a little note that says you are not responsible for any information the user posts on the forum or any content on the site.
  3. Exactly. People that try to commit suicide obviously don't like their life and don't feel they should have one but if they have one then they were meant to have one. That's the way I look at it. Just because you are down or are having problems doesn't mean you can run away from them. There are people out there that care for you even if it doesn't seem like it. Running away from a problem won't solve it and I'm sure you'll still have that problem even after you die, wherever you go. (not gonna bring in any beliefs)
  4. That's really a neat idea. I have never heard of it beore but I like it a lot. It'll be cheaper and easier probably. I'm guessing the scanning proccess won't take all that much time hopefully you can access the stuff on the paper like a CD and not have to take it off and download it to the computer. I read most of the article. It's really cool and I can't wait until they send the technology out to the market. I'm guessing they are looking into a paper hard drive or so as well. Soon computers will be a little box.
  5. Personally the name like SM said is just a name. I have gotten used to the name though, and it's unique. It's short and easy to remember. Besides the logical part that it'd be a hassel for people to try and remember the new domain and what not would be a problem but actually not that big. I think though that it's good and shouldn't be changed because it makes people wonder and actually come to see what it's all about, once again like SM said. Besides, it isn't just a hosting site, it's a community of everything from gaming, to graphics, to poetry. Plus I already made made up Trap17ism. It's grown on me.
  6. Well the problem is, we don't know who each other really are outside of the Xisto life. I know that we are all good friends and probably good people but you never know. This kind of stuff happens all the time. Although I probably would go visit if I just so happen to be in the area someone else lives at. I meet a friend from a game at a restaurant once cause he came down to visit his parents who live 15 minutes away from me. If we meet in a public place though that's be cool.
  7. I've never actually heard of a Wal-Mart addiction. I guess you know a lot of the people that work there... or have gotten to know them? That's pretty interesting. What do you do on days you don't go to Wal-Mart? And what's the longest you have ever been inside the Wal-Mart shopping? Well hopefully you can slow it down some easily because you will just end up waste your money buying stuff just so you can be at Wal-Mart. It's like you have a shopping addiction but just at one store. I'd limit your money so you don't spend too much.
  8. Both have updated for me. Thanks for the notice OpaQue.
  9. I've extended the voting period until this Saturday. Hopefully we can get some more nominations in there before then so we have more people in there. The Sig of the Year I might omit or have a few different categories and you can make or enter an old sig for each category for some prizes. The rest of this week will be easier for me so I should be able to look more into this.
  10. My favorite football team is the Tampa Bay Bucaneers. Pretty much because I live in Tampa and I like to support my home teams. If it wasn't the Bucs it'd be the Steelers or Packers but I don't really know. I don't really pay much attention unless the Bucs are playing which at this point means they are losing. I'll stick with them though as long as I can, hopefully one year they will be able to win another Super Bowl like they did I guess 3 years almost 4 years ago now.
  11. I don't have any disabilities so I wouldn't know the exact feeling. I personally ignore disabilities or try to at least unless it's really noticeable. People just stereotype others because they are different so they don't talk to them. There's also the idea of peer pressure, one friend says that person is weird and their friends might be pushed to believe the same thing and make it uncool to go talk to them. Of course not everyone does this but more and more probably do each day. I know I'm guilty of it myself sometimes, a lot of us are, some worse than others, it's just something that the world might not ever get rid of.
  12. If they don't think you are worth that much to them and only give you a 20 cent raise then they obviously won't learn until too late after you quit. I think you should find a nice job, then give them notice that you are quitting so when you do quit you go straight to working at the other place. If you make more money good for you, Tim Horton's will have to find someone else which I'm sure can't be that hard and if it is well that's tough luck for them. I'm always afraid of what to say when it comes to things like this but it isn't so bad once it's over with and you can move on to bigger and better things. Hope everything goes well, good luck.
  13. lol That's really funny. I'm gonna have to share that one.
  14. You don't go and post on forums. You basically fill out offers like any other place and and get a couple credits for each one. Or you can create your own offer for people to fill out and you can accept or deny their transaction and give them some credits for them to earn some money. I really think though that it'd be a pointless trip and you wouldn't make that much money in the end even after that many payouts.
  15. I would definitely take the human feces. Though you may be able to train yourself to not feel it as much when walking on hot coal or glass, the scars and pain will still be there later. As for the feces, you don't have to get a disease from walking on it. That's why they have this thing called soap and water which tends to wash away things. Of course I wouldn't rather walk on either but if I had to choose I'd go with the human feces.
  16. Exactly what I was thinking. They probably should build a memorial for Steve Irwin but then if someone dies and wants memorials for them and the government denies it people might start suing or whatever and cause problems because they made one for Steve Irwin. I'm sure soon enough they will start the process of building one. I don't know if they should make a series but maybe just one big one. Otherwise you'll also get the line... "Why can't my friend have a memorial, Steve Irwin has like 8."
  17. Like jlhaslip said 4 credits are needed to become unsuspended. This is why it's recommended to have 10 credits at all times. If you have 4 though and the server script is ran an hour later when you have 3.91 or whatever though you will not be unsuspended so bring it up to 10 or so, and you will definately be back running your site in not time at all.
  18. I downloaded the trial for Flight Simulator X and at first could just spin in circles on the ground. I eventually got up in the air and messed around for a bit but it was rather complicated. I didn't have the tutorials to help me learn though so I backed down and got rid of it. I didn't have the proper computer for it either. On the other hand I think it would be a great game to play once you get the hang of it. I love to fly in planes and would like to get my pilots license.
  19. That's some pretty stuff and really true. We just like living a simple life and don't have to worry about a lot of stuff. You gotta love it. OpaQue I don't think you should point all of this out to all the women though they might make you do something. Only show them the parts about how men only need one pair of shoes and what not.
  20. Well with all the members on these days I think the people that do try to cheat the system will be caught. I didn't even remember that the HIDE tags had quotes around them but I put them in it anyway but of course I've been here. I think it'd be a good idea when you just have too much info of different subjects or whatever. There will always be a few that try to cheat but they are always caught one way or another.
  21. Really I think it depends on the person and what games you are looking for. Each system has it's PRO's and CON's and I've heard a lot of people that say they like the Xbox better, others say the Playstation, and others Nintendo. It really all depends on what you are into because some of the systems have different games as well. I personally prefer the Playstations. I have 2 as of now and have heard a lot of good things about the new 3.

    Hey!

Hey, welcome to Xisto. Well I don't think you'll have any problems with Xisto as long as you know the basics of posting and how to avoid getting warned which is simple. Just have to read the Xisto Readme (link in my signature) Hopefully you'll get to know us better and us you. We tend to have a lot of fun here posting and shouting in the shoutbox. It's come more than just a place to earn hosting for me.
  23. My FTP connects fine using SmartFTP. Check that the addresses match up when you put it in or it won't connect. ftp.yourdomain.com Maybe you typed the wrong password into SmartFTP but the correct one into CuteFTP. If you have checked that well then I don't know what the problem could be but double and even triple check that everything is typed in correctly.
  24. Click on your user name to take you to your profile, then click Options, and on the drop down box click, "Find Member's Posts". That will bring up all of your posts that you have made since you joined here on Xisto. I don't think the searching tool will find every post you have made but the profile option will definitely bring all of them up unless they were deleted because of breaking a rule or double posting or something.
  25. I haven't even heard of this until now, I'm surprised. I think this is a good thing though, keep the sun out later at night for a longer period of time. Although I still sort of like going jogging in the dark when it's cool. But, I can live with it. It'll be for the best I think overall. It probably isn't really needed anymore anyway. They should just keep it Daylight Savings Time period, and do away with the old timing.
