Stable Gpu Temperatures

That's true, but I made my own Benchmarks and Crysis is running smoother than it did on stock speed. Which is a good thing.xboxrulz -
Windows Vista Sp1 Released.
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to jimmy89's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Alright, i just did a force install of Vista and there's no problems what-so-ever, I don't know what Windows Update was thinking. Everything is working in order.Anyways, it took 30-45 minutes to install this service pack and it rebooted 3 times during the installation. As for speed, the menus now draw faster, I haven't tested the transfer rate and bulk transfer rate. What I did notice is that browsing my Mac over the network has sped up considerably, which is a good thing, same with saving files over the network. I was relieved because I was tired of waiting for Vista to save the file for 1 minute while I just sit there and wait. It shouldn't happen for a 12KB document. Now when I save, you think I saved on a local disc so it's no longer slow at all.xboxrulz -
Stable Gpu Temperatures

o, lol, my bad.Yeah, my Mac reached that temperature all the time on full load on things like iMovie and Parallels (if it needs full speed) and the fan runs at 6200 RPM; sounds like a jet engine.xboxrulz -

lol, but I just got this card, I don't want to go buy another new one ... lol. I'll check on the temperatures when I have time. At least I know that on full load it still runs cooler than a lot of Intel based laptops, and that's just the CPU (57 - 82C ... when loaded, 57 mild load, 82 full load)... lol.xboxrulz -

On load it goes 61C. Also, the fan on my GPU is not the one shown in the link. It has a plastic covering it, like a sheath.xboxrulz -

Laptop Wont Power With Under Battery Power
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to insomnia76's topic in Hardware Workshop
Sounds like a battery problem to me, the battery might be reporting false data to the system and the BIOS thinks there's a lot of power but there isn't any power remaining on the battery. Try popping in a new battery.xboxrulz -

i c, thanks. How do you replace the GPU fan anyways? I know you can do that with a CPU fan but I don't think it is really possible to attach a new GPU fan eh?xboxrulz -
I don't usually overclock system components, but my ATi Radeon chip comes with an overclocker function built into the control panel, so I press the Auto Tune button to change the settings to make my GPU faster.Right now the settings are:GPU Clock: 780 MHzMemory Clock: 515 MHzTemperature: 44 C idleStock:GPU Clock: 725 MHzMemory Clock: 500 MHzTemperature: 44 C idleIs this good? No, I don't have any custom fans, all my fans are stock fans.xboxrulz

Apparently my system doesn't support SP1 yet, must be an unknown hardware that is not supported yet. I guess I have to wait until April. Can anyone tell me if there are any major improvements in speed?xboxrulz -
Shader 3.0 On Shader 2.1 Board? Shader
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to Harry1984a's topic in Hardware Workshop
Umm... problem is that you're going to have a lot of artifacts and slow frame rates if you do that. Many cheap cards now do Direct X 10 and have Shader Model 4.0 for under $100. You need a new card, even playing America's Army on that card shows many graphical corruptions. My brother used to have that card and man, it wasn't funny watching him lag ... until he gets shot and watch how ridiculously died because of the lag. Anyways, I gave him my old NVIDIA GeForce 6600, so much better for him now. He can play Battlefield 2142 no problem. I currently have a Sapphire Radeon 3650 512MB DDR2 PCIe x16 and it works wonders for less than $100. (tax not incl.) xboxrulz -
There are computers that cost about $300 w/ no operating system which are new. However, I can't direct you to one since all my sources are Canadian sources. You don't have to disable the onboard video. Once you insert a new card, the onboard chip powers down. It's only used if the system can't find an AGP/PCIe card. xboxrulz

xboxrulz1405241485 replied to Asaf's topic in Computer Gaming
I have to definitely agree with Call of Duty 4, it is by far the best game I've played in 2007. Better than BioShock, Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy combined.xboxrulz -

Sounds like a great find, but what turns me away from Jing is the fact that it may turn into a paid service which will most likely happen. Great concept, but the chances of having it become paid is scaring me away.I don't want another InvisionBoard happen to me again, that was annoying.xboxrulz -

Looks normal there. I just visited your website, it works, no issues here. My browser: Sometimes, the Xisto servers gets bogged down due to some inconsiderate members running heavy-duty scripts. That's my hypothesis at least. xboxrulz -

Where Can I Find A Virtual CD-ROM Drive Software ?
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to iGuest's topic in Software
Sometimes that's not enough, some manufacturers add encryption codes that the game requires to make it run. So if it only mounts things, it wouldn't work then. xboxrulz
