  1. lol, remember, even hard drives have a read/write limit before it too, dies out. However, an average home user will NEVER kill a hard drive like that. However, since flash memory has a limit a lot lower than disc-based hard drives, the chances of a burn is a lot higher. I have yet to burn any of my USB keys, but I've heard it happen. Yup, unfortunately, it sounds like a dead drive. However, you can always get a cheap 2GB drive by now. xboxrulz
  2. I use Daemon Tools and VirtualDrive Pro. VirtualDrive Pro for games since they have the best emulation in the business and Daemon Tools for everything else. VirtualDrive Pro can be found: http://www.farstone.com/ xboxrulz
  3. You can try that, remember, system preferences when it comes to networking on the Apple is only really linked to Safari. If you change it, it shouldn't affect Firefox and etc.xboxrulz
  4. Does it work on your own machine? It could just be a USB controller driver error. Maybe you burned the flash memory stack inside. Remember, USB keys have no moving parts, so maybe you just wrote too many times to it and it just burned out. xboxrulz
  5. Also make sure that your system has enough memory (RAM) to support the game and the operating system. For Vista, 2GB or 4GB are recommended for gaming depending on the game played. Just like Apple said "Ask not what Vista does for you, ask what you can buy for Vista."Also, make sure that your graphics card is supported for your game.xboxrulz
  6. Unfortunately they killed support after version 2.4.0 or 2.5.0 for the Mac and Linux while the Windows version is at version 2.8.3.xboxrulz
  7. I use GIMP usually, but for more advanced things I use Photoshop ... lol, GIMP is a great alternative.xboxrulz
  8. Ummm... you mean database and not satabase right? I think you should fix that.xboxrulz
  9. For a lot of people, it isn't that easy, when it comes to Linux gaming, it's a little hellish because of the configurations required to run the game. For other uses, maybe, but for gaming, Linux still has a lot of work before it can be called easy to game on. However, once you can get Linux gaming working, it's so efficient and beautiful. You actually can run a game that doesn't meet the Windows requirements, but runs on Linux pretty well. xboxrulz

  11. It'll suck if the problem was the little switch at back pushed to the 0 position instead of the I position lol.xboxrulz
  12. Well, Celerons don't really run Vista properly, so ya, it might explain why you're having problems.xboxrulz
  13. By now your old account should already been scrapped and "thrown out the window". You must reapply like a new user.xboxrulz
  14. What operating system do you use? You need to provide more software information as well. Thanks, xboxrulz
  15. You can just use NetBeans IDE for compiling Java manually, because your JDK does come with javac anyways.
  16. I still say that the older interface was better, however, it could've been more organized like it was in Microsoft Office 2008 (which is the Mac version).xboxrulz
  17. I don't see why I need the extra 2x, but I guess, it's better than nothing.
  18. Interesting, I think I should keep this in mind because a lot of my files get corrupted throughout time.xboxrulz
  19. He does have a 750W power supply stated above. However, I agree with you about the rest about the Phenom? That thing is a freaking beast and it's so cheap (comparably)! I wish I could throw in that much money in my system. xboxrulz
  20. A brain reader? That is going to be really hard since the system will have to convert from analog to digital first, but that in itself will take a lot of work. Plus, the hardware must be very powerful in order to attempt such a thing. I don't know what magnitude, but I don't think we have that technology yet. We also have to convert that analog data of the brain to digital then convert it to OpenGL and that takes a lot of work on the CPU and GPU especially to render it. Then if you want to go further and add an AI, that would require so much work, it'll be like creating Cortana from the Halo series.xboxrulz
  21. It's not really an application, per se, more of a driver. Maybe try to update your drivers? For Windows XP: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products/?app=drivers For Windows Vista: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products/?app=drivers xboxrulz
  22. Usually I stick w/ ASUS because they make really good motherboards. I think the ASUS P5N-T Deluxe because it has the nForce chipset. The first two is really for ATI's CrossFire technology. NVIDIA's counterpart is the SLi.xboxrulz
  23. I only kept Microsoft Office on my desktop and laptop because of compatibility issues. Else, I have OpenOffice/NeoOffice because it is so much better for what I do.xboxrulz
  24. HOLY CRAP! All of this is also based on Wolfdale cores, this must cost a lot, but ya, the motherboard won't support your processor. Maybe try this motherboard instead? http://www.asus.com/ca/ xboxrulz
  25. I'd still say Linux no matter what in Gaming. Sure it has the best games, but the same Windows games (depending on which) can run on Linux a lot faster (granted, most won't even run). I don't even like DirectX anyways, openGL all the way, that's why I love id games. If Linux has as many games as Windows does, Microsoft will have to kiss their system good-bye due to many strong advantages of having Linux than Windows.xboxrulz
