Yeah, when my mum heard about it from my brother (he's my brother's friend), she was like, Oh no!!! Don't do that or else you will end up in jail!!! But I was interested in hacking before then. Have you heard to the site hackthissite.com? Yeah, well, I signed up there, I got pass like, two levels and then I got stuck. At python, because I couldn't program. So I gave up. I must say, I myself don't have much of a social life, but at school I'm fine because I'm everyone's friend. The problem with being everyone's friend though, is that you don't "belong" in a group yourself and therefore you are not considered as a "group member" of the group, which mean that you don't get to go out often, which is fine by me, because that means that my mum says yes whenever someone does ask me out, and I can work on stuff like Xisto and reasearching on my favourite topics...

I suppose that's true... I won't know whether to cry or laugh if I ended up being like you though... now that I think about it, yeah, I don't really know what my site's going to be about now. First its a gaming site, but then I reaslised that I would have to know how to program and code, in which I really don't have any idea in how to do it? Then it's a design site, but then I can easily host it at completely free hosting services (with no posting whatsoever) and still keep up with my site, And then it's an experimental site for practicing psychics to "prove" that psychic abilities do exist, And now it's a blogging thing to help me make money for me to host the experimental site without having to post as much as I am right now... So I'm going in circles... I don't know what to do with my life!!! Argh... but I've got enough to host me for a like, quite a few years, I think, with domains and stuff...

Nice one... so, do you learn how to hack, The Simpleton? (and rayzoredge, of course)...I know a guy that's a few years younger that me, and he's not even in his teens or close to it that can hack his school's system files... Freaky huh? Of course, he would do it for ethical purposes *ahem* and do nothing about it *cough cough*...I think. I don't know why he would do something like that though. If I could, then I would totally redesign my school homepage because it's just so crap and looks like a really bad job stuck together. And it WOULD be for ethical purposes... after all, you don't find a site's main page completely redesigned with a better looking image for FREE, do you?And I won't touch anything else, I promised.(In reality though, I would probably wreck to whole site with my nooby programming skills of zero and shut the whole system down... depends on how you define ethical, right? Its the thought that counts....)

Two words: I agree. Actually make that more than two words, because it's just not right to post a short less than one line post four words with the first two words saying what the other two words are. But I agree. Xisto is like a dread to me... and I wish that did go for a name change, because the numbers 17 makes them hard to type and therefore gets less visitors, unless they don't want to let Google index their site all over again, that is... And the topics are boring for some reason. Most people are willing to post on the forums for nothing, but the only main reason why people post here is to get free hosting, and many more find better free hosting somewhere without all the hassle of posting and everything at all... And that's not very good... I must agree that most of our fellow Xisto members are quite young and busy (like me), but only a few stays, the rest leaves, and of course there are always a few loyal members in this forum.... but then the not-so-new new members leave as well!!! So yeah... I really don't know why Xisto is the way it is... like me now, my fingers are just moving but my brain isn't even into the thread. I somethings post and fall asleep (literally) in front of my computer with half a post still hanging there (or maybe that's just because I sleep late at night posting on Xisto...) But yeah.

Really? Haha... well, no problems... Glad you've got the new car finished and over with!!! Lucky she didn't choose hot pink... that'd be a pimping car!!! But yeah... enjoy your new car and smell it before the new car smell goes away!!! I love it.

I must say... lucky me!!! I'll be getting a new laptop, completely FREE!!! Funded by the government for all students in a certain year and above in the public schools for education...I really don't think it's worth it though... people will be playing games and stuff and not concentrating in class, and I'll be working on my site (if I can and the site's not blocked) and not concentrationg on my work!!!Woohoo!!!We should get it by mid-September... it's been taking ages... other schools already have theirs...

Backup Browser? I have never heard of the term like this one before... but I can tell you that I do not have a Back up Browser, and I only use Safari to browse the web (because I use a Mac and Safari is the default browser). And because I can't be bothered downloading more browsers when I could be working on my blog or posting on Xisto and I can't be bothered downloading the newest versions of the browsers that I won't even use. Though I must say that I usually use Internet Explorer on other computers (because THAT's the default browser of the other computers, of course)...But yeah...But if I had to go for Internet Explorer or Safari, I'd go for Internet Explorer...

Oh my god... I didn't even know it was a Simple Machines Forums forum until someone mentioned it on your site... I have to say that it's very good, though I actually thought that it was a more of a gamining forum than an actual fan site of some hardcore metal band...But yes... it's a very good site, and you've already have some members... Good work!!!
-
I suppose so... but this is just a question that I wanted to ask you... you said that you haven't exactly hosted a site of your own yet. And yet you have been a member since like, what??? 2006 with over eight hundred posts (I think its around eight hundred and twenty something posts... and more)... why don't you use your myCENTS for free hosting? I'm sure it'll last you for years and years and years to come... and if anything should happen to Xisto, like a really big storm in Mumbai, then all the myCENTS that has been given to you will be lost... Of course, that applies to me as well, I'm in a similar situation as you, but I've only been here for one and a half months, and you? More than three years... it makes a difference... (and I have like, five hundred less posts than you too!)

I agree with Baniboy... and I do believe you have developed an eating disorder. Number one... Do NOT listen to your stepdad!!! He is just well, I wouldn't call him a jerk, but he shouldn't say that to you. Maybe it's just because you're his step daughter and not his biological "real" daughter... things like that happens. You have to eat at least three meals a day... Believe it or not, I really don't think you're fat at all, even if I've never seen you before in my life... Seems like to me that you're very skinny, but just think that you're fat (anorexia)... this isn't good for you. Put it this way. Are you really really really really fat? Like, Obese? Like, you can't stand up from your chair or walk ten metres without panting and having to rest? Like, you can't run 100m?No?Then you don't have anything to worry about.Put it this in another way...If you see someone that's a bit chubby (in which I really doubt that you are...)Would you care at all? No.OK, if you are a little bit chubby, do you think that us bystanders think that you are chubby and care?No... we don't.So year... as you can see, no one really cares how you look (I'm sorry if that sounds mean,), so you don't have to worry about how others think you look at all!!!Isn't that a relief? I think so...

I Want To Make Money Is there any site for Indians
Nameless_ replied to Codemaster Snake's topic in Business Forum
Hmm... I really don't know about that site, chethanshenava... IT doesn't seem to be working on my computer at all... maybe it's a scam that lost business or a virus site that takes too long to load? I really don't know about that... I reckon blogging is the best way to earn money though, if you're successful, that is... By the way, I see that you're new here, and haven't exactly earned any myCENTS yet... to do that, you will have to post at least five posts for it to work (you've currently got only two), and signup here with the same email address as you signuped here at Xisto. Good luck with that!!! (Press Client Centre and register there... I think) -
Hiya BlooDTake... I can see that you are up to your eleventh post and still haven't earned any myCENTS!!! I think that that's very sad... I hope that you haven't missed out the part where you have to sign up at Xisto's Support and Billing Centre for it to work before you can start earning myCENTS!!! Well, this is the link here... Just sign up with your email address (the same one as you did with here) and after some waiting you will see a myCENTS under your name and you will be able to start earning myCENTS!!! Good luck with that!!! Hope you'll learn to love this community!!!

Yes... but for some reason, I make around one dollar (100 myCENTS) for like, eight very very long posts (my style)... though you're right. My average is around thirteen posts a day, and I'm like, now... on the top of the list of the most poster per day. (I believe it's under the My Assistant place next to My Controls on the top banner of the page). It is healthy for my account, but yes, it's not that healthy for me and I believe I might be getting short not making the most out of puberty and doing things that should matter more to me (like sleeping... my mum told me this too, though she thinks its just my homework load...). And I'm kinda off Xisto... the only reason why I'm still posting as it is is because I have promised not to go off this goal and I still haven't... I think. By the way, if you only buy a domain and it costs like, $12, and if you buy domain with hosting, and it costs like, $14, then wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the domain first and THEN the hosting? Just a thought. I know I might sound cheap going over the two dollars, but hey, it saves me two days of work and sleepless (or near sleepless) nights... Also, someone tell me why I should host my own blog on a hosting website and not just use a free blogging platform (like Blogger.com in this case) where I can have unlimited space and bandwidth without having to pay anything... I still don't get it... I mean, I can still buy a domain off from them, can't I??? With out hosting fees too...
-
Yeah... welcome, man. Though I would like to point out that even if you have signed up at Xisto's Support and Billing Centre (here), you still have to post at least five posts in order to see the myCENTS... because if you don't, then it won't show up... like what happened to me when I signed up... Yeah well, I posted like, four long posts, got fed up of waiting and nearly gave up until someone pointed that out to me... so I thought I would do the same favour and tell you that too. We wouldn't want to lose any new members before they have even totally gone into our community and start earning myCENTS!!!
-
Hmm... I don't really know. Some says that it just works like normal, so I don't understand what the fuss is... though apparently some sites (paying sites that help you make money online, of course) won't let you received the money unless you are verified... Well, my accounts not verified, but I really can't say whether it works or not because I haven't received any payments yet. THough a friend of mine makes games for companies and earns like $100 per game, and it worked for her without her having to verify it... Wow...$100 per game. That's really freaky, I must say. Especially for someone her age... but anyway.

I must say though... this topic doesn't really give much room for discussion, because you're so pro and everything, and there aren't controversial topics that can start a debate or an argument or anything...But yes, you CAN use the information that you have written here on your own tutorial and website, or course... unless you copied everything off another site, which of course you obviously haven't done at all...I'm not sure if you can copy and paste something from your website and post it here on Xisto, however. I got told off for reposting my introduction posts for new members, and even after I personalised them I still got told off... So... yeah...You should go and check with the moderators with this, though I really don't know why you can't. I mean, if you site gets popular and everything, and someone searches for your article, they will be as likely to find you site as well as Xisto, bringing more traffic in.Well, why not???(Ask the mods and admins first, of course)
-
This is weird... you've got a website in your signature, and yet my computer can't find your server??? Were you hosted here before??? Because you didn't have the hosted thing under your name too... I thought that any members that has been hosted before, regardless of whether they are hosted by Xisto now or what, still has a HOSTED thing under their name... Or is it just me?
-
Yeah... thanks... I'm still new to everything, but I'm glad I can be up against pro sig makers so I know my level and I know what to change in my signature... And Hey!!! I didn't do that for the sexy pictures... please, I'm no one like that. Just because it's the only feminine sig in the competition...

It did think it as around $10 USD, but then I found out from someone that there are taxes involved and it costs around $14 dollars including tax per annum (I typed in $15 for good measure in case something happens), and if I am to get unlimited hosting, then i will be requires to earn around $12 dollars a month just for hosting, where I could get the unlimited for free at Blogger.com. The only drawback is the navigational bar on top of the blog... but I really can't think of anything else. There's the free templates, the free everything... plus, there's an export button somewhere on the dashboard settings in the blog, so I'm assuming that it will be quite easy to change hosting just by clicking exporting and import it into my own domain site and hosting site. But I know what you're getting at. I might get there someday, and I hope I will... but currently I don't have the funds to start and I'm reluctant in using my small stash of myCENTS that will easily run out in one month because I can keep up with the hosting. If there is any way for me to transfer this to a individual hosting it is will be great, though I think I might lose some Bloggers memebers just for ditching this site... Anyway, we'll see how things go. Apparently it is possible to be successful even with a .blogspot domain, though I'm not counting on that... I might use one of the free domain names give (co.cc, uni.cc, co.nr, ,tk) and we'll see if it works or not... What do you think?
-
I really don't get your answer, but anwii is probably right, seeing that he is more experienced in this field of computing than me...But I thought that you would like to know (because of the misleading title that you have posted), that you do not need to have a credit card or a bank account to start a Paypal account. In fact, my account isn't link to any of my real money because you don't have to... once you've signed in, you can press a "Go to my account" on the bottom left hand corner of the white box where they have everything in and voila!!! You're in Paypal without having to give your credit card or bank account details!!!

Which Was The First 3d Game You Ever Played?
Nameless_ replied to The Simpleton's topic in Computer Gaming
What??? I'm not a very gaming person, so the sentence "This question stupid, because all of them grew up playing 3d games..." doesn't really apply to me. I have played one and only one 3D game in my whole life, and that is Runescape, which I quickly got sick of because it was so boring because the only things that you could do is the kill goblins and to cook fish (catching fish is also required)... A And I was like, why waste my time when I could be doing something else more interesting and more productive? And this is why I am here today. The end... sorry, no games for me... -
Yeah, I guess you're right. But the point of this blog is the make money to I can earn passively and work on my main project without having to post on Xisto twenty four / seven, which is exactly what I'm doing now... now doing what I'm supposed to do, and sleeping late in the wee hours of the night when I'm meant to be doing other stuff... Which is why I started my blog and it's an attempt to earn some money online... I'm still new to everything, so I really don't know how hosting works, and I definitely can't code everything myself, but if I can just copy and paste the template, that'd be cool... but I won't know how to post then, without the Blogger platform. Plus... if I earned $15 USD from my blog, I can then buy a domain off Google... right??? Though having 100% control would be ideal, of course. If only I'm a computer geek... Hmm... thanks. yeah. I'll tell everyone I can about it, and I'll see if I can find some images off the web. And that's a good thing too, because that means that I can source the pictures from somewhere else and apparently it give you respect in the blogospheric community, which results in more readers and subscribers, if you don't mind losing some of them through the links... Yeah... newstack.com AND .org is taken. I only know shortly after I used the name in blogspot, though I can still change it (it's a good name though), and the .net extension is free... Another thing is that the term "newstack" comes up with 15,600 results from google, so I don't have a lot of competition, and apparently newstack.com is quite wellknown... so I might get some traffic off there, though I would prefer a .com domain name. So I'll have to think up another name. Something witty and hints at interesting news... like newstack... well, maybe not... Just to tell you though, Blogger does let you pay for a domain name through them... so I don't need to worry about anything, I think, and still use their service. But paying services seem better to me...

Yeah, I agree with you. The first time it happened I was like.. Oh no!!! Help!!! And I sent a support ticket through Xisto for help. But then it was alright and the lady told me about the fact that downtimes are neccessary because it is a near free service and nearly all hosting sites have downtimes, and they're as much as Xisto (99.99% uptime), and now I'm not worried about it anymore. Plus, when that happened the first time, it was down for the whole day. Now it's only hours, and if I can't get on in the morning, I can be assured that it will be back on track in the afternoon once I'm back from school... And your theory might be true, The Simpleton... no wonder it goes on and off periodically for short and brief periods of times...
-
Thanks!!! Yeah, I know right? After like... 2 months and I still haven't bought a package off Xisto... but I can meddle around with the HTML without having to worry about anything for the moment... And I didn't know $1 a week is a big goal... well, make that $0 a year and lots of readers and subscribers... I'm glad I started off with something myself too... feels like I just need to push myself off and stop researching everything for like, ten years before actually starting. (Have you read the book "The Alchemist"? Well, I'm just like the wannabe alchemist... always researching but never starting.) Yes, I'll keep it interesting... well, it's basically for teens, you know? I'm a teen and I just hate newspapers, but I like interesting ones occasionally. So it won't be like, world wide boring news, but interesting news of smaller stuff and things around the world... unless something big happened, like how Michael Jackson died. Now THAT would be a world wide interesting news to read... And yes... quality over quantity... content is king... I've heard it all... (I'm still researching though... I've borrowed "Blogging for Dummies" from my local library and apparently I have to put links everywhere on my blog or people will start complaining about not having enough links. And I'm meant to link back to the source, but it's from the free newspaper I get everyday from Monday to Friday and they don't have a website with their articles on it... so what should I do? I might have to find news from other places and put it all in the blog so I've got some links in there...) Thanks for the help!!! I've figured out how to change the size of the adsense ads under my posts, but the ad on the banner still doesn't work... if it really doesn't then I'll just have to find sponsers... and in the meantime, I might advertise one of my Xisto friends sites for FREE... once I've figured out how to do that...
