  1. I used Rogers a few years ago and it was fine.I just weny back to them again. What's funny is I was toldthe installation fee would be waived, yet when I recieved thebill, there was the installation bill for fifty something dollars! When I look at my online billing, there is no mention of theinstallation bill, just the regular monthly bill.I can't make sense of it. I just know if I phone them up they'lljust say the mistake is with the online bill.
  2. That's really interesting. We yawn because wemust reduce our heat.If that's the case I'mgoing to yawn over and over again duringthe hot and humid July weather. It gets me thinking.I wonder what sneezing is really for?
  3. I use Aquafresh or crest or whichever one I findto be the cheapest really.I'm not fussy. My teethare good and that's what counts. The thing is,I'm thinking about just using water with no toothpaste.I think that would work too if brushed say 3 to 4 times a day.
  4. This is a poem I wrote about a female friend of minewho loved classical music.Slowly I was beginning tofall in love with her.Now she won't talk to me anymore.Somehow I miss her more than many girlfriends I've had. Friends since the beginning Friends until recently close for all those months Memories I'll recall sweetly never a tear in the fabric fine until mid July Then your silence like sirens exploded Then I took it too personally I insulted you then turned into a monster That's just not me My friend Remember the good times Please don't forget so easily I'm still the same as the spring through summertime I will gladly take the blame I'll miss you don't you see The Brandenburg Concerto You were surprised I knew You called me dear friend then BY God above it's still true These faults I will carry like a millstone I know they're not so few You're silenced caused confusion Yet friend I love you still Your words are wisdom Your anger a fire Your verse a song of beauty Your influence will never retire I'll remember you forever See your beauty in the sky I'll hear you in the wind Take you as you are anytime So friend don't forget The virtues once so clear So if you ever return I'll still be for you here I'll still be for you here
  5. It seems they reward these prisoners for commiting they're crimes. If they made jails realy harsh with working chain gangs and such it would be a deterent to crime. As it is,the criminals just aren't scared to commit these crimesso normal society is paying the price both in tax and safety.
  6. I find Audacity good software for recording but not so good for wav to mp3 conversion.Too much sound quality disintegration. I've used another converter called switch(somewhat better) but I've yet tofind a converter that is to my liking.
  7. I thought an operating system was considered dead when Microsoft stopped offeringsupport for it and stopped selling copies of it.By this criteria,Windows 98 would alsobe considered dead. I mean,Microsoft no longer 'manufactures' windows 98 as far as I know.
  8. Firefox has been acting really slow and sluggish,Itseemed that it never used to. The thing is,when I use firefox I find I don't get hitby viruses, unlike Internet explorer. The reasonwhy,I don't know.
  9. At one time I was a chocolate addict.I think it's all physchologicalthough. The chocalate wouldn't taste any good at all if itweren't for the sugar added to it.So really it's the sugar thatis addicting. I just got concerned that I was eating too much junk food.I still eat chocolate sometimes but often now when Iget mad chocolate cravings I'll eat a few oranges or peachesinstead. That way the craving has been taken care of in a muchmore nutriscious way.
  10. That whole Pixal add thing was a fad that lived and died quickly aboutthree years ago. It's old news. The guy didn't make a million dollars either. That was just hype. Most of the adds placed on his site were there for free. Sad but true how the hype machine works. Some peoplewill believe anything.
  11. I think KFC has really gone down. Before it became KFC(When it was still Kentucky fried chicken),the prices and quantity of the food were excellent. For example, around 1994 you could get a 1 piece snack boxcontaining 1 Chicken breast, stuffed with fries and a small servingof Coleslaw. This came out to about $1.70. If you buy a 2 piece now it costs just under 8 dollars with 2 small pieces ofChicken and a tiny amount of French fries, Inflation hasn't increased that much. And why do they advertise the Tuesday 2 piece with fries as a2 dollar deal?It comes out to $3.15. Somehow I don't think the Colonal would be too pleased.
  12. None of my teams are on that list.I no longer have a favorite baseball team since the MontrealExpos moved. My favorite Nfl team is the much beleagued Bufffallo Bills. It sounds like I choose real winners doesn't it?My favorite Nhl team is the Montral Canadians though(24 Stanley cups)and the Bolton Wanderers of the English Premier league(3 F.A cups). I don't follow basketball and know very littlle about cricket.
  13. My guess would be that it was probably Javelin or highjumpingthat were the first ever sports.Probably track and fieldas a whole would of been the first sports. Ancient Greece would of no doubt been the first countryto document these games so to speak. After all, they hadthe very first olympics back in something b.c.
  14. Here in Toronto I find the Dollarrama prettygood.I don't really use the plates from there butthey are plastic anyway.Quite functional still. The food isn't bad though,Cans of stew, chef boyardeetuna, salmaon etc.Not bad at all. Some of the chocolate bars(2 for a dollar) aresurprisingly good and rival the big brands(Kit-Kat,Coffee crisp, and all that). Overall it's a good place. There are some other types of "dollar stores" here thoughthat are pretty bad and should be avoided.
  15. I've heard of hattrick before.I think they arebasically the same. If those games were really fair every one would begin with the same kind of team. Footiemanager definitly isn't chess to say the least.
  16. Although his post Beatles music is mostly sappy,Paul Mccartney doeshave an incredible range.Theres so many good vocalists though it's notfunny.
  17. I was just wondering.I don't play too many computer games.I don't have the time. A few years ago I played the online game footiemanager. To be honest I found it ridiculous. It takes absolutely noskill to play. The secret is to begin the game with a teamof high rated players. It's almost impossible to obtain themon the transfer market though,so if your team isn't that skilledthen you're out of luck. Some people seem to love it.Why I don't know.Hasanybody else ever played it?
  18. Well, technically a dream could kill someone.Depending on they'reage and/or health. If someone had a heart condition and woke up min an anxiety fitfrom a bad dream that just might be enough to tip the scale so to speak.
  19. My favorite sports are soccer,Nfl football and hockey. I hate golf.I think it is the most monotonous thing to haveto watch.I don't even know why those guys are even considered athletes. If golf is considered athletic then Chess should be too.I likeChess much more than golf anyway.
  20. Asp and vb.net internet scripting languages work in any browser.Theyare server side languages. They really have no effect on the client side browser used(Internet explorer,Mozilla, safari etc). Time will tell if Microsofts power base declines.I don't think Linux has reallyhad that much effect on them yet.Perhaps the Mac could keep growing in popularity. I hope they do get some real competition soon.Competition helps bring the price downand Microsoft is way too expensive.
  21. Unfortunately people really do expect music for free. They don'tcare that there is expense involved in making it(recording, musicalinstruments cost etc). At all levels this seem to be a factor.Even with live gigs.I rememberplaying during the 1980's and sometimes making in one night whatsome people would make in a week from a normal job. That would be about impossible for a local bar band to do today. The people who run the bars and clubs today have caught on andwon't commit themselves like they used to. People seem more inclined to buy cd's if it has Sony or EMIwritten on it.They listen to the hype machine. It makes itreally tough for independant artists. I hate to sound depressing but one should still play music if one loves music. It's not easy.
  22. I'm not tying to deflate anything here but I never understoodthe fascination with pizza.I mean, what is it? A little bit of cheese with a few sprinklings of meat and vegetables on a bland bread crust. I've never found it particularly tastefull. That's just me though.
  23. I've known people who used to faint like you describe.Itseemed they grew out of it.It happened when they were in they're teens. Could these blackouts be stress related?Anxiety related?Perhaps you aren't getting enough air. A trip to the doctors wouldn't hurt though. All the best
  24. Some of my friends have snakes as pets. They seem to get quite attachedto them. It's almost like these snakes seem to get they're own personalitiesaccording to the owners. I find that funny really.I mean,it's not like snakes are very affectionateor perform tricks. To each they're own I guess.I wouldn't want one as a pet.
  25. Myself,I wouldn't complain about there not being enough subjects to write about.I was once a member of a hosting compamy similiarto Xisto(Though nowhere near as good). The only subjects it seemed people wanted to talk about werexp vs Vista, and whats your favorite computer game? The more subjects the better the way I see it.
