It's easy to tell what's legal and what isn't.If you're downloadingsomething for free that should have been paid for and sent throughan unauthorized third party, then it is illegal. Simple enough but true. What can I say about that? Legalize it!In the memory of Peter Tosh! Nah.Only joking about that.I've never used torrents before although I wouldnever admit to it even if I did.Wherever theres a free market and people get tired of paying top dollar there'll be a black market. That's basic economics. If you do want to risk downloading the software for free,it's your choice to take the risk of viruses and trogans though. It's very much a ying and yang thing.

Self-aware, Guy-dependent but what do I do?
networker replied to mewkiss117's topic in Health & Fitness
I don't think you have a problem either. At least you seem willing tolook into yourself and a desire to make changes. You alsodon't seem like somebody who has to completely burn bridges with people either. It sounds like you'll give people another chance, which is a good quality to have. Maybe you like people too much and become attached to themtoo easily.Maybe just try a little bit of restraint.Hell! I feel like Doctor Phil! All the best -
Today I had to call microsoft by telephone to activatemy re-installed Windows xp.It turns out that if you've re-installedit about 25 times, you can no longer just activate it online, buthave to telephone them to activate it.I often booted from my xp disc to reload basic drivers if I ever had a problem. It seemed to work, but somehow I must have been credited with a full installationeach time. Anyway,It took about a half hour on the telephone today, and I can't say they had the best attitude. The guy rattled off the new activation code at a mile a minute.I was lucky to type it in properly. In a few years,Xp will no longer be supported.Does that meanwe won't be able to activate it at all, if needed?I wonder what anybody else has to say about this.

Rogers : Internet Service Injustice cable connection
networker replied to askingboss's topic in General Discussion
I did phone Rogers today and requested that they removethe installation fee.You know what? They agreed to.Hopefully theres no bureaucratic screwups and it doesactually get removed properly from the bill. All I'll say is that my overall experience with Rogers has been pretty good.Theres no downtime whatsoever, the internet service isfast and reliable, and the help from both the technical andbilling staff has been really good. I can't knock them.Bell Canada is another story though. -
Which Sport Do You Enjoy Playing In Your Collage ?
networker replied to awagink's topic in General Discussion
When I was in College I played on an intramural ball hockeyteam. At first I was playing forward until one game, our goaltender didn'tshow up so I played in net. After that, everybody insisted that I play goaltender.I was that good. The thing was,the gym we played in wasn't air condioned so it wasreally hot for me wearing all those pads and equipment.Atleast we won most of our games. -
Theres so much to say about the whole "Work ethic".I mean, before the industrial revolution most people lived in rural areas and would work seasonally(i.eharvest season).Basically they were working for themselves. They were workingto provide lifes necessities. Since the industrial revevolution, basically we are working too much for surplusand too much for somebody else.To buy some ceo another house or yacht basically. We get pushed into40 hour a week ruts.We are told this "40 hour a week grind" is right. Somebody, basically an honest person goes through some hard times, andgets judged for that. One could call it discrimination really. That's the life and the times we live in though. One has to keep busy though.Ideally it is best to make money from your hobbies. To make money from doing things that you enjoy doing. That's wishfull thinking.

Giving a 12 year old kid pills?Anti-depressants?That's a problem waiting to happen. What idiotic shrink would of authorized that? It sounds like a right mess to me.The parents are very much to blame. Chemically messing with a developing child? That's so depressing. To get two thirty year sentences the kid must of been off the rails though.

Virus Help Cant get this sucker out
networker replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in Security issues & Exploits
As much as I find it's a slow application to use,I find that if youuse the Firefox browser to serf to new sites your risk of gettinga virus is much less. Internet explorer is very virus prone but can be used on sites that youknow are safe. To get rid of your virus,if push comes to shove just backup all yourdata and re-install your operating system. It always works for me. -
What Are The New 7 Wonders Of The World?
networker replied to bishoujo's topic in General Discussion
All those examples are very interesting.I think that Niagria falls should be included in thetop 7 wonders though.I think it is a phenomena of nature.Truly amazing. I think it is much more interesting than that mountain statue in Brazil andshould be included.Just my opinion. The grand canyon is another that I would consider. Also maybe the Euro tunnel.True modern engineering genius. -
What Is Culture? Something we all sould care about...
networker replied to eick_wright's topic in General Discussion
With the increasing scope of the global village we're seeing an awfulllot of cultural dissipitation though. It's sad really. The things that make us unique are slowlydisappearing. It's all very fine going to your local exotic food resturaunt, but there goes the thrill and discovery and surprise offinding these things on your travels. With the increased globalization comes more tourist trapsand pizza huts. -
Outer space is cerainly fascinating.I guess we're all like dogs trying tounderstand Calculus. It's an understanding that simply isn't in our grip. On another note, how in the world(no pun intended) could we increase our speed in outer space to any thing practical when itappears we'll never break the speed of light. Apparantly things that could go faster than the speed of lightwoiuld just break up into nothingness.Theres so much we don't understand.

My Story With Electronics this is my story with electronics
networker replied to zamaliphe's topic in Home & Garden
I studied Digital electronics.Digital is pretty easy to understand.Theres a lot of logic gates involved. We studied the basics ofanalog electronics also. Analog is where it can get pretty confusing.A nicely laid out digitalmicrochip board is much easier to navigate and understand thana crazy mishmash of resistors, diodes, capacitors and inductors. A lot of the best technicians have an intuitive feel for analogwhich it appears you must have. You may know alll the theory but that canonly take you so far. -
The reason you probably got such good help from Microsoftwas because you bought something that they couldn'tput a license on.lol. MIcrosoft try to force blood out of people.I'm really thinkingof giving the linux operating system a try. I mean, after Windows xp has been installed 25 times youcan no longer activate it online but only by telephone. It's almost like you have to grovel to keep usingsomething that you've paid them for.Something thatwas very expensive to begin with.I'll be reading up on Linux.

I like both English football and American Football. They are both two completely different gamesalthough both of them originated from rugby. I'd say most N.F.L players aren't really that overpaidwhen you think about the danger factor involved. You couldreally get ruined out there. Basketball, baseball and (English) football comparativelyaren't dangerous at all.

What you need of course is your place painted with mellow colours.Yellow or light blue.I guess those colours are very relaxing.I mean, someone wouldn't want to paint they're walls red would they? Also.keeping things uncluttered and clean helps a lot too.Aclean abode equals a clear mind. What also helps is living in a nice neighbourhood too,It helpsdfor peace of mind although we can't all have that option.

My favorite food I can probably blame on my upbringingin England, all though I don't want to sound cliched. I really love fish and chips.I also love Yorkshirepudding and Shepherds pie.I also love Cornish pastriesand Sausage Rolls. Chocolate Ice cream I can never say no to as well. It's good to indulge in the food you like, but don'tover do it of course.

Cutting the lawn depends on how much rain or sun it gets.If there is no rain and not much sun you could probably gotwo weeks without cutting it.What's really funny is lawns where one part of it gets more sun lightthan another. The grass will grow more on the one area.Which means sometimes only half the lawn needs cutting.Ridiculous but true.

The way I see it,people vandalize and destroythings because it's a desire to cause some effect on peoples lives. They like to think. "Oh look what I've done! This will change things for them andI wonder what they're reaction will be? " The reason these people do this is because they don't know howto contribute in any positive way. It's complete loserville but unfortunatelythe world is full of them.

Maybe when it's all finished you can lay backand listen to some Georgy Jones and have yourselfsome southern moonshine. Then after that, maybe you can head yourself outto a honky tonk to hang with the rest of the good 'ol boysbefore you goes out huntin' some pheasant. Only joking. Using either a reneck or no neck method doesn't matter so long as the roof is fixed properly. All the best.

As some have all ready said. You should probably be very carefull whenbreeding the wolf.Make sure it doesn't breed with any domestic dogs. It must be neat having a wolf as a pet.I'd feel much easier and saferhaving a wolf as a pet rather than a pitbull.Pitbulls make me very nervous.

If You Could Be An Animal, What Would You Be And Why? .....
networker replied to Kraiser X Astral's topic in Home & Garden
If I could be an animal,my first choice would probably be a horse.Allthough I really don't follow horoscopes,I am a sagitarious, soperhaps it makes sense. Tough and reliable with incrediblestamina. My second choice would probaby be a Lion. Fierce and independant, and King of his domain. My third choice might be an eagle.Gifted with great mobilityand superior hunting techniques.I don't see how I couldlose. -
She sounds really flighty,She gets engaged to someoneshe's not even talking about on her blog. She sounds like she is trouble. She goes to church? She doesn't sound like a very good good girlthough. I'd just move on.There are plenty of fish in the sea,and some ofthose fish bite.
