Using Lan Connection From A Pda ? Is it possible
bluedragon replied to bluedragon's topic in Computer Networks
Are you working in a call center for technical support Manual just kidding.. Anyways I get a LAN icon whenever I connect my PDA and I even option to configure it just like any other LAN connection. There is just one difference, whenever I remove the device, its gone. Even from the "Network Connections" window Well normally when a Mobile connects to a PC, It either enables a storage card accessibility or it gives you control over the Modem built on it. There are other modes also depending on the manufacturer but these are the two main important ones that are there in most of the mobile Now If I want to access internet using my mobile , I can easily dial a number and access it. With PDAs the case it different , They connect using LAN. as soon as I connect My ActiveSync fires up and starts synchronizing. I just want to know how can I access the internet using a LAN like architecture from my PDA and route to DSL on my computer settings/configurations/ some software please. Thanks -
I once worked on 3d Max 4 and it was too complex. Took help from a book. Try your local Library/Market for a book on 3Ds Max 7. That will help. You can buy tutorials off the internet but I won't advise that. I tried few tutorials for FLEX and it didn't help. Its better to read a book than look in online tutorials. And we can't provide torrent and RS links on this board P.S. If you are really interested in 3D modelling try using Blender https://www.blender.org/ They have a lot of tutorials online and plus its free

Acer laptop screen not coming up Acer Laptop
bluedragon replied to iGuest's topic in Hardware Workshop
I agree and this will also test and clear if your graphics card is working or not ... Try connecting an LCD/TFT /CRT Monitor btw.. I think your graphic card is working and its just the screen connectors , since if otherwise, Most of the Motherboards have an on-board graphics card and when they get burned they don't turn on and start beeping to indicate it. -
Hi Mods , This guy doesn't even know how to spam please teach him how to write All I could understand was that he's trying to explain me how to modify hardware configuration using some software .. I Don't think thats possible Thanks all I think the problem is with the driver itself. Coz when I reboot twice or thrice , It works properly. Anyways, I am not going to go back to the old version of drivers. I have the latest version installed and they came with the PhysX software for the hardware on my graphics card. Its producing some very good results for games like GRAW and COD4. I think I'll stick to it and may be try and reinstall it. Moderators please close the topic. Thanks

A system can become unstable and crash for many reasons. Its not always a hardware faultThe BCCode that you wrote means that your System rebooted because the system could not handle the exception that had occured. Now I am not good at Windows Programming. But may be someone good with it can tell you more as to where the problem is exactly. Its Done by Analyzing the other arguments, BCP1, BCP2 etc. But then I think it could be either of the two possibilities only either one or more of your hardware could be incompatible with Windows XPor You have an improper version of Windows XP :PI'll suggest you reinstall windows from an ORIGINAL disk btw.. what version of windows were you running before this, because from the error code I think its sp3 you are running nowSP3 has some incompatibility issues with certain device drivers.

Virus Help Cant get this sucker out
bluedragon replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in Security issues & Exploits
@Echo_of_ThunderTry and use "Hijack This" software. I think its just a trojan. If you can identify and remove all of the entries of this malware/trojan. Your system will be clean.btw .. You can always check for a file's authenticity by right clicking and checking for properties. Most of the files that are fake don't have a manufacturer's signature. You can delete these files by booting in safe mode or command prompt. But since you are using vista you won't be able to boot in Command prompt -

Hard Drive Partitioning How do I do that?
bluedragon replied to odomike's topic in Hardware Workshop
@ odomike - Linux is SECURE Dont worryIf you have Ubuntu then You can also use something better for making partitionUbuntu has a great Disk partition manager. I've tried it myself and its better than any windows version of the utility. It formatted my 250 GB in less time than what windows take. It has a good enough graphical utility that can display partition sizes and most importantly it allows you to undo any/all of the decisions before applying anyI haven't used Norton Partition magic, I've used Avanquest partition magic. I think its the same thing only the company has changed :PBut then I never liked it. Even though they claim that their is 0% data loss, I've had some bad luck with it.NEways best of luck.I'll suggest you install Windows after you install Linux. That ways the boot-loader will be of windows and not GRUB or LILO.I dont know how to edit them.If you install Windows before your Linux. Then When You try to remove it, You'll run into problemsanyways.. best of luck -
Generally a large 10k or 15k drive is more susceptible to failure than a same size 7200 rpm drive , that is why major gaming systems come with 7200 rpm.I believe its bcoz they tend to generate higher temperatures and since when you are gaming it requires lot of read and write (swap, levels etc) and if someone is a hardcore gamer or is trying to be one, he might end up 15-16 hrs a day and that is ought to bring down the hard-diskHence generally 7200 rpm drives are used. 15k rpm is generally required for faster boot times as explained by rvalkass and truefusion :PYou wont experience any difference in the gameplay, except only faster loading times. To be honest , you can even neglect that it takes less than 30 sec to load level for crysis warhead on my system (7200 rpm seagate) and one more thing 15k drives are NEVER used to keep data backups only 5400 rpm drives are used for that. Don't know the reason but have seen it in many of the companies :Pmay be its the cost factor but I doubt since they are using Workstations , so definitely they can afford 15k drives

x58 can run either SLI or Crossfire but you won't be able to run both the technologies simultaneouslyas far as I know the two architectures are slightly different, while x58 supports SLi by default, the chip supporting Crossfire is also there so it supports that alsoI am slightly confused, but sure that both the configuration simultaneously wont be possible

Need To Loose Belly Fat In Four Months ..

Hey Y4nzi .. Nice pic you got there as avatar .. [] -
I am sorry but I didn't understand this properly but still i'll give it a try .. Either you want to put back the thermal compound back on your processor or you want two graphics card in Crossfire configuration ( since thats what your motherboard supports) 1. If its the thermal compound problem - you should remove the fan on your processor, and put the thermal compound properly on your processor and then replace the fan. but I believe you've done this already 2. If you want the crossfire configuration - there are two things you need (1). Two graphics card (ATI) Crossfire Edtion as Master Crossfire Ready as Slave You cannot use ATI and NVIDIA cards together. Either TWO Crossfire type ATI cards or a SINGLE NVIDIA card (2). Crossfire connector - this joins the two cards I haven't configured it myself but you must have got a manual with your motherboard that will tell you how to enable it P.S. although your motherboard has 4 PCI-Ex slots but you will be able to use only 2 at a time. I am not really sure though. If you get all four working pls do write how you did it Also Your motherboard does not support SLI meaning you won't be able to put up two NVIDIA cards

Problem With Splinter Cell 4 Could it be the software corruption ?
bluedragon replied to bluedragon's topic in Software
I want the game running in XP. I am not much concerned about it loosing the saves since I am quite used to saving often. XP: I've downloaded the latest version of XP drivers off ASUS.com . I initially thought of getting it from Realtek's website but I couldn't find my audio hardware in the listing. Its ALC 1200 and for some reason I couldn't find it. There was a patch for this game and it was installed automatically by the updater. I even downloaded it again and manually installed it (twice) -
New On Here, Need Some Assistance, Not Great With Computers
bluedragon replied to wanda's topic in Software
I don't think "Downloading movies" from "Demonoid" is legit :)Anyways, It differs from country to country so I can't comment much. You can try some other sites where they don't require authentication/registration. -
What make is your card ? I would suggest you download the new drivers from manufacturer's site or try downloading the drivers from Nvidia.com It could be due to the corrupt driver setup

Nvidia has SLI and I don't remember where but I saw they can put up 3-4 cards in SLI ..

I just bought a PDA (HTC P3300) .. I noticed that when I connect it to my computer (using the USB cable that came in box), It creates a LAN like connection and the Active Sync synchronizes itself. Now my question is , Can I use my Internet Explorer in My PDA to work with the LAN connection on my PC ?and How can I configure it ?Also .. Is it possible to use the Internet Explorer on my PC to use the PDA connection for internet Just want to try stuff thats all. I have EDGE enabled on my mobile so its not a speed issue, basically my DSL connection is unlimited and I have a Limited plan on my Phone

Which Is The Best Mp3 To Wav Converting Software
bluedragon replied to contactskn's topic in Software
truefusion is right .. You can't/shouldn't convert a low quality MP3s.. One more thing though.. You won't get a WAV of same quality with the same size as MP3. Thats why ppl convert Wav to MP3 and not MP3 to WAV :)Another thing to keep in mind while performing the conversion would be the bitrate - whether it is variable or fixed. If its a VBR quality MP3 and you uncompress it , You might get a huge WAV :)Anyways, Audacity is the only program I know of.. I had another one called Cheetah audio converter but I don't think its available now.. If you want to convert from WAV to MP3, LAME is the best :DAnd if you are ready to buy something, Go for Sony Sound Forge -
Hi, I am having strange issues with this game .. I first thought of posting this in the games section but I think the problem is a software or may be driver related so I am posting here I bought this one recently, Splinter Cell : Double Agent. This was a second installation on my machine .. The first installation was not legit so I had removed it. This issue was there with the first installation also So I thought may be buying an original DVD would help , But I guess I was wrong :)Now the problem is that everytime I try running this game on my XP there is no sound in any part of the game except for the movies part but the game works fine. And when I try running the game in Vista, It works perfectly with all the sound effects. Also, Initially during the installation part, It did show up some compatibility issue with the driver version of my graphics card but I cant help it since those are the newest possible available on the site. Oh. and there is just one issue with Vista which I think is because the game was not initially designed for Vista , It doesn't do Autosave. Now I just want it properly running in Windows XP. Can anyone suggest what I should Do with this ? I tried reinstalling , but It didn't help.My Specs are as follows: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 GHz 2 GB ram 8600 GT 512 MB graphics card Realtek HD audio (onboard Asus P5Q motherboard)Thanks

Its not true for all Ati based cards.. Its basically due to the difference in architectures of the two cards and also the Two focus on different issues in Graphic rendering. If you are using an ATI card you will be getting a better more clearer Image quality than its Nvidia counterpart. ATI focuses on quality while Nvidia gives you performance card while compromising on Quality. You won't feel the difference in Low end cards but If you go for higher end cards the difference is quite noticeable. :)Even I had some issues with ATI cards few years back .. I had an ATI 9250 .. It used to freeze whenever i tried running NFS Underground 2 but then not all ATI cards are bad. My friend has been using a 9800 pro and it works great till now :DAlthough He has bought another card but He still has the his previous card.

Does Usb 2.0 Require Special Cables To Work?
bluedragon replied to mrdee's topic in Hardware Workshop
rvalkass is right.. I presume you have only USB 1.1 Ports on your motherboard. If you need 2.0 speed I guess you'll have to buy a PCI based USB card that can actually give you USB 2.0 ports, otherwise there's no point using a HUB.. :)Speed of USB is based on the Controllers and it cant be increased by adding a hub. You may however add extra PCI cards that give you 2.0 compliant USB ports, or another option is to wait and buy a better motherboard (that is if you are thinking of an upgrade). The extra card is not advisable in many cases since it doesn't give you a true 2.0. Its basically an option for motherboards that doesn't have any USB ports on board. Many a times there are cheap cards that are not even compliant with XP/Vista standards. The wire won't make any difference. Since its telling you already that the device needs a high speed connection, hence it is a USB 2.0 compliant wire. Although I haven't seen any USB 1.0/1.1 compliant wires myself. -
First of all you gave 150 dollars for cleaning a FAN ???? Anyways.. You can try putting a different RAM module (borrow it from some friend) and then power ON.. Its not a heating issue I think , You can try putting the system in front of an Air-conditioner and then power on if you feel so. NEways.. If both of the options doesn't work , You'll have to change your system's motherboard. You can take out the hard-disk and buy a casing to make it external , if your data is that important.. and then may be connect to your new system. It will serve as a backup drive also
