  1. I am getting really irritated with your posting habits. Your title is insufficient for the article and you never enter your description. You must contribute to our forum. You simply cannot paste a quote from a website and call that a contribution. If you don't correct your ways I will request administrators to re-evaluate your membership with this forum.Thank you.
  2. I'll be the kind of father that my father never was...I'll be the husband that my wife can count on...I'll never beat myself up; talk gently to myself of my mistakes...I'll not forget to rise up again, after falling millions of timesBut most of all,I'll be the human being that fulfills the creator's ultimate design. And I get to find out my purpose before I die. I get to find out just how important my role was to this vast cosmic wonder, no matter how insignificant I feel. And I get to pass that knowledge to my children, family, neighbors, strangers, countries and the rest of the world--each and every one of us are important!

  4. LOL you too? You missed the pinned topic in this forum, huh? http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ read this post and understand why we no longer have the edit button. And you should've read in my signature "Where is EDIT?" I think no one really pays any attention to my signature. Is it that bad? ----- Topic Closed -----
  5. I knew it as Gates sold the early version of DOS to IBM...? While Gates was making a deal with IBM, his partner went to some guy working off of his garage and bought it for like few hundred dollars. Basically, Gates BS'ed his way into selling the idea. Gates was well known in his college days to be one of the best poker players. HA~! A regular BS'er made some OS and found a company called MS.
  6. British are so well educated. *envious* I didn't know you were from Britain. The art classes are dying here in the United States. I had to learn about Andy all by myself. Thank goodness I went to a museum that day... otherwise I would have missed Andy's works.Getting back to the topic, I like the first one with round bubbles around the chin. It gives the feel of clouds forming around the face. Well, that's just my one opinion among the many you'll get.Nice work!
  7. Aliasing is caused when, usually, your scanner picks up the DOTS from a photo/picture for a magazine. This is due to a printing method. When you looks closer at a magazine's photo/picture you'll notice that it is made up with millions of color dots. Because the way scanner's lens behaves, sooner or later those dots become pattern to the scanner's eye. So when you see the final result, you'll notice some kind of wavy pattern forming around what seems to be a solid color area. This isn't true with your art since you deliberately created the blotchy, dotted look around the face. Hence I commented on how it resembles Pop Art. Pop Art was very popular British art expression during the 1950's. Andy Warhol is very famous for several pieces. It basically accentuated those dots and gave it a comic book style to the whole piece. But at the same time, it preserved the professionalism through out the entire work making it worthy of being called an Art.
  8. I read your comment posted below your picture. I think you misspelled masterbation. Did you mean to use "U" instead of "E"? Or maybe you wanted to spell it that way.I think there's absolutely nothing to add to your creation. I like the feel of POP-art! It's rare to preserve the feel of that type and I believe you have done it well. The whole circle within a circle, concentric circles and circle rings fit the bill to the theme "dreamy." I like the light green spill over effect at the top right corner. And I would like to see something similar to that on the right lower corner. It's bit plain. I keep looking at the VINTAGEFAIRY.COM area... something is missing--perhaps a distinctive separation between white bubbles and the outline. I don't know. Thanks for sharing with us.
  9. Well denying of an application isn't the final word. Administrators would like for you to improve on your posting behavior. Listen, no one can tell you whether your writing skill is or isn't good. Right? But for this forum, we are asking you to be bit longer, bit constructed and bit more in complete sentences. Alright? That sounds fair?If you can't admit that some of your posts would not pass a writing course in your school, well then no one will win. Let's see if you can improve on your sentence structures...
  10. I was invited by NilsC to be a moderator. I initially turned it down but then I knew I would have some free time coming up and accepted it. Well now I live here.To become a moderator you do not have to have the seniority of anything. You do not merit from higher posting numbers and such. Some members are actually administrators or moderators of OpaQue's other sites. They were called here to help and enforce much younger forum. Therefore, they have already demonstrated their abilities as good moderators. OpaQue simply invited them to manage Xisto, or they volunteered.<< I'm moving this to Questions & Queries >>
  11. First of all, you obviously didn't read our forum rules. Because if you have you wouldn't type words such as "wtf" or "crap" ect. Second, you have posted in the wrong section. This is moving to Questions & Queries. You could've even posted in The Vent section and it would've been alright.Third, again if you read the forum rules you know that writing unstructured and one liner are considered as SPAM. You have so far 17 of those out of 27 posts you made. Writing and replying with structured, correctly spelled, grammatically coherent sentences are MUST for our forum--you have this habit of ........... 'ing between your thoughts. Please write in a complete sentence.Okay?Edit: spelling.
  12. Well, at least I know that it's not available in Kenya and Ethiopia. South Africa had awesome strawberries but they were very expensive. In the states, I can buy a supermarket sized box, usually contains 15 large ones, for $2.50 each. While I'm driving, I can by $1.00 per pound around farms and co-op market places. But man, I bought it for $6.00 a pound when I was in South Africa! I hope they were out of season prices...
  13. Is it possible that someone's trying to sabotage your website? I know this site http://www.netdisaster.com/index.html where you type in your whatever the site and it eats up the bandwidth. In the world of free hostings and limited bandwidths, this is a sure way to destroy a certain site by causing to use the maximum bandwidth allowed... it's pretty sad that people like to destroy other's creation. lol the WAR is within us! Their IP is 212.27.35.89 not that it matters since it does not show up on your IP logs. But our cPanel has IP block tool. If you see a multiple IP using up bandwidths (I'm not sure how we can track this) you can block that IP.
  14. See if you can uninstall SP1 from your Add/Remove program first. Then reinstall your SP1. When you get to your MS update site, you have to reset your configuration to "trick" the update manager to install SP1 again. Otherwise the update manager will not give you the option to install SP1. The correct steps currently elude me. I'll post with details when I find out, unless one of our abled PC master/mistress posts it first!
  15. Instead of CODE use CODEBOX. When you are composing a post, to the left, below all those smilies, you'll see the BB Code Help link. Study them! Learn them! Use them! And please read the YELLOW NOTE TAGS!!! Thank you.
  16. Because you posted a question in Tutorial section. Tutorial section is ONLY to give tutorials on a subject, not requesting one. Please, please read our forum rules and TOS. They are located at the very top of our forum AND you can also find them within my signature.----- Topic Closed -----
  17. You know if you are going to give us the code, won't you provide us with the whole thing? I mean where is BALL.GIF and GRAYBACK.JPG?And for the long codes like that, please use CODEBOX instead of CODE.Thank you.
  18. I haven't said no or yes simply because I am not the owner of Xisto. Although I am 99% sure OpaQue will not have any reselling account through Xisto, but I do not speak for him. Therefore, "we're not offering at this time" LOL I guess I've been working with lawyers too long. I can't even give a straight answer!!
  19. If it's just the peanut butter then I would always choose the crunchy kind. It's too plain when you have just the peanut butter and bread. Something to chew on, I suppose. But when I am making PB and J, well I can't really spread some Smucker's jam nicely over those bumpy nuts! I have to have smooth one for that occasion.
  20. Hello Microsoft and welcome to Xisto.Unfortunately Xisto does not offer any reseller's account at this time. This forum provides 100% free, ad-free hosting and in return the forum only asks that you stay active. Therefore, the forum has hosting credit script running which you'll get to know very soon once you start to host with Xisto. The Hosting credit script takes in considerations for the length, spelling, full English words and proper BBcode tags used to award you with credits. I am moving this topic to Questions & Queries. Please read through each forum description before making your topic.Thank you.
  21. I was called in about 3AM the other day regarding missing CD-ROM drive. You got to be kidding...right? Well here is what happened. Apparently a computer in the office cannot "find" CD-ROM or access it. Going into the device manager reveals CODE 19 (registry error) and no one has any idea what happened. Looking at My Computer shows nothing about CD-ROM drive's icon. Humm that's funny... So, take a spare CD-ROM drive and just switch it over, right? No! Windows recognizes that a new hardware is found but the same error message of CODE 19. I'm not about to sit there and manually correct the entire registry. There's no way I was in the mood to restore the whole computer. After searching this code error, seems like I wasn't the only person who came across this bizarre behavior. Apparently when a CD writing program, such as Easy CD Creator, is removed (uninstalled) when using Windows XP, sometimes it leaves your registry all messed up. At this point I had two questions: 1) there's got to be a patch and how do I look for it (what to type to search) and 2) who installed a program that wasn't suppose to be installed? My office computers carry some information that should not be viewed by the public. So who installed a CD creating software and uninstalled it to cover the track? Well, first things first. I found this link to Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us But wouldn't you know it? For my issue, the said registry did not exist. It was completely wiped out. But then I found this site http://aumha.org/regfiles.htm And in the name of all that is holy, I found a patch called CDGONE.ZIP I will upload this file at Xisto so if anyone needs this, you can get it from here. There are three files in this zip: cdgone, EditReg, READ ME FIRST. cdgone and EditReg are registry files. All you have to do is right click on cdgone and select merge. But if you are skeptical as I am, click on EditReg to merge. This will prevent from installing a possible "fake" registry file to merge. You never know these days what some people are trying to do to your computer. Always read the READ ME file! Always back-up your registry before attempting any editing. And after the entire debacle, just restart and ...voila! PS: looks like I don?t (or can?t find) the attachment option. Go to the link http://aumha.org/regfiles.htm and look for Restore Missing CD Drive about half way down?
  22. Well as far as reviving the dead hard-drive, if you are still having the hard time letting it go try this trick http://forums.xisto.com/topic/26193-hard-drive-freezer-trick-have-you-ever-tried-it/ or stick it inside your freezer for about 1 hour for 15 minutes of operation time. If that doesn't work, SOL. Let it go guys...it's dead. "Go towards the light!" There's a reason why people in the commercials wear that weird space suit when assembling micro-computer parts. It is because any amount of foreign object (as mall as a size of a dust) will kill that hard-drive from functioning. As it was stated in one of the previous responses. Ask yourself this--is it worth it? Is it worth wasting your time trying to fix, perhaps buying a special tools to get that hard-drive open...and find out later that it did nothing good? If you want to just open it up to see what's inside, then go right ahead. But as far as my past experiences go, opening up hard-drives isn't worth unless you want a very large paper weight.
  23. Because we (administrators and moderators) are all volunteers there isn't a set time frame that you will be approved. But usually members are to wait anywhere from 2 ~ 4 days before the application is reviewed by an administrator. This topic is moving from General Talk to Questions & Queries. Please practice posting in the right section. Thank you.
  24. As light crept hastily through the windows, a sudden howling brought trepidation to the dogs, shambling aimlessly. They yowled frantically, pawing only scratches. Momentarily, everyone ran, attempting, praying that it would help them escape the shamble that embodied evil
  25. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Speaking of The Deathclock post...I present to you a real working clock...the rumor has it that it took them 4 years in completing. LMAO I can see why. It's ingenious, actually! Very well thought out plan but what a waste of resources and bandwidth. But still, I can't get enough
