In the mean time, I'd like to share my point of view. Ultimately, you will be responsible for whoever uses your hosting. So if you know the risk that comes with hosting/sharing with someone else, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be allowed. Believe it or not, I know few members that have already done this and been doing this from the beginning. I kind of know that one hosting account was created and there are multiple people logging in to keep the credits up. I think OpaQue has anticipated this and thus gave each cPanel, each hosting account with creating more than one FTP account AND ability to create anonymous FTP account as well. Otherwise, your cPanel would only show 1 or 2 subdomain, 1 FTP account and much lower bandwidth limits. But I don't know what OpaQue might say...

Yes. And respectively, you lose 1 credit per day. Hosting credits means it's the number of days you don't have to post and still have your hosting active. Yes, it could have used the word "day" instead of "hosting credit" such as You have xxx.xx days left When you upgrade you simply lose 30 credits from what you have. It does not reset back to 2 credits. Unless I am misinformed and needs to be corrected, this topic has been answered and now closed. I like KuBi's render. It works well with the monotone background. Nicely done. I am impressed with, however, Biscuitrat's render being outside of the border. A very nice touch. But I didn't think that the font type went well with that signature. I wonder if it had worked out to be better if Biscuitrat's render was monotone as well with slight hint of light purple hue?Current vote:Kubi 2 : 6 Biscuitrat

Well this is how I see it. Either I can live in a fear knowing that I'm dying someday, especially to the exact date, or I can try to make the most of what is ahead of me until the day I die. I could worry about what I cannot control and cannot see far ahead. But I rather go outside, run around the rain and play dip the puddle by jumping from one puddle to the next. Don't you agree?No matter how advance a civilization was they did not know of their own demise. Take a look at Mayans. Only few of their descendents are living today. If they were such a great civilization how come they are almost extinct today? What about the City Atlantis? This refers to, in my opinion, the awareness of self value in contrast to the rest of the environment sometimes leads to blindness to what is actually ahead. In simple words, people sometimes rely on too much of quick and short answers that they forget to see the bigger picture. Oh I see, I'm sorry. When you wrote just this I assumed that you wanted to rename your index to cmps_index. I also changed your title to suit your question. Your question is not dumb just that I'm having bit of hard time understanding what you want to do. You said to "point to cmps_index" but from where? From your forum as a link or when someone types http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ it goes to cmps_index? What you are saying is that when someone types your address it goes to your forum page because the forum was created with the initial filename with index.php?

Access your cPanel. Go to File Manager. A new window will open. Go and find your file to be renamed. Click on the name. On the top right side you will see list of commands you can perform on that file. Select the rename file option. And you get to rename the file however you'd like, how many times.

Please use more descriptive topic title next time. I'm editing it.If you are using FTP, simply click on the file you want to rename by right clicking and just rename, including the extension, and you are all set.If you are using cPanel, go to your file manager and click on the file. You will see many options to your right and select the "rename" and you'll be all set.I just want you to know that when you don't have any index (html, htm, php etc) in your public_html folder, your entire content listing will show when someone goes to your website. Be very aware! Okay? And your cmps_index.php will not be the first page that everyone sees for your site.

Upon checking with Yahoo, it is $1.99 per year up to 5 years. This means you can purchase a domain for $9.95 and don't have to pay for next 5 years. My worry is what would be the price AFTER the 5th year? Yahoo currently charges $9.95 per year for domain renewals.

Please do not discuss about image of a software that you do not rightfully own. I'm thinking if you own the game CD you could have made your own image file. But since that game CD is copy-protected, the company did not want you to make an backup image. But instead it was downloaded. Have you tried connecting using FTP? By the way, I replied to your FTP question.The reason I'm asking if you can access your hosting via FTP is that there's a good chance that due to the weather disaster we're having through out the nation, a good possibility that the connection might be interrupted.
