Hello and welcome to Xisto Aspiration! As xpress said this is a good community with good hosting, and lots of members that are able to help you. Unfortunately I am not one of those able to help you with programming, so do not count me in on that one. You should take a look at the Help Topic, just to get to know and understand the forum a little bit better. It is not as hard as it seems sometimes - for example when it comes to myCENT. You should read about it yourself, but the main part is that you post to earn cents. The amount of cents depends on the quality of your post - not the quantity. You should try to avoid one-liners as they are considered to be spam, but do not worry about it too much. When you have 100cents it "transfers" into Xisto (you have to register for that by the way, it is free...) 100 cents = 1$. You can use this "money" to purchase different packages at Xisto. (Hosting, domains...) You should read about all this stuff yourself too, I am sure it will be helpful. Enjoy your stay here.

I understand Swedish very well, so at least I will understand you then. Yes, the Norwegian "jeg" or "eg" is the same as the Swedish "jag." "Ikke" is the same as "inte"... I think. Jeg syntes det var flott ? treffe deg ogs?. Lykke til her p? forumet!

Somehow I wonder why I am nominated for "Most improved member." Improved from what? Was/were I that terrible before? (Someone; please teach me the was/were rule.) Okay, here are my nomination for the 2009 Xisto Awards: Not the best nominations.

(I am the princess of talking about almost everything and anything as well as dragging in other subjects in a thread. Therefore I may warn you that in some cases I do not actually stick to the subject.) I did not even vote so it is certainly not me. When you hurt an animal of course it is cruel. Even though it is done in "the right way" it is still wrong, but we all (well, many of the people on this planet=) does it anyway as it is just life and we need food. Polar bears are endangered too - mainly because of the global warming. (At least I think so.) Huge parts of the fur- or leather-industry slaughter the animals in a terribly way; and they keep them locked into tiny cages without barely any room at all. Fortunately here we have people who are making sure that the animals are fine - though of course there are exceptions. As in any country. Whaling is wrong. Killing of animals is in general wrong too. Ruining the woods/area where endangered animals live is cruel too. But yes, whaling is wrong. Lots of things are.

What Would You Do If You Won 10m In The Lottery?
Bluebear replied to Ruben's topic in General Discussion
I would pay down my mums loans and perhaps my dads if he do not manage. I would pay down my sisters and closest family members loans, and take my mum on a wonderful holiday far far away from Norway. I would shop like crazy; online and in stores. I would buy a new camera - and of course I would put most of the money if the bank so I can save them for my future. I would buy a new pair of skis and pay someone to create my beloved blog. (It is probably never going to be finished.)Maybe, just maybe I would donate something to charity... that would be to either Brazil, Bangladesh or some good organization in Norway. I am actually kind of selfish so if I won 10 millions I would probably keep most of it myself. -
Naah, you did not offend me. I thought it was funny. As you kind of speak Swedish I suppose you would understand some Norwegian too? Naah, du fornćrmet meg ikke. Jeg syntes det var morsomt. Siden du pĺ en mĺte snakker Svensk sĺ mistenker jeg at du forstĺr litt Norsk ogsĺ?

Crap, I gave up. I have no clue what some countries are in English. Murder me for it or something but I have learned the countries in Norwegian.

Hello baniboy and welcome to Xisto! Come on, you do not have to tell us that Finland is a land in Scandinavia. I am Scandinavian too as I am from Bergen, Norway. (Many people would only consider Sweden, Norway and Denmark as a part of Scandinavia as the language in Finland is not similar to ours. We are not able to communicate with you guys by speaking our own language if you do not speak Swedish... as some parts of Finland do, right?) I absolutely love when we get new members here that are from "my area" - if you know what I mean. Others have already filled you in with the basic info, so I will not repeat it. All I can do is to welcome you once again, wish you good luck and assure you that your introduction post is not considered as spam. A fairly okay post if I may say so. N?hd??n my?hemmin! Your country neighbour, Bluebear, Norway.

Oh God, did you even notice my first response to this topic? It does taste al right if it is prepared in a good way. Still I do no think that is a very good argument against whaling! Can we just run around and kill all animals if they taste good?
-
Well the Japanese are not the only ones doing this. *hint hint* I have seen whales in real life. Those whales seemed happy - swimming around in the ocean. And yes; I have tasted whale too! Maybe you guys have not tasted it when it is prepared in a good way. I ate some slices of it on a restaurant for a starter, and it tasted quite nice indeed! "Norway continues to conduct commercial whaling." (http://www.whalewatch.org/faqs.htm) We do not eat a lot of whales - Norway kills around 800 or so per year. Well no one should like people who kill animals in a cruel way - I do not like people who kill animals for in a cruel way just for the fur. (Fur is ugly anyway, I do not want to lurk around with a dead animal around my neck.) I do not quite understand "there are a lot more fun jobs out there than whaling"... well I do not think that is very good argument against whaling! It is boring to wash schools, hospitals or prepare food in the cafeteria at some high school; but they do it because it is their job. Nothing else. It is not necessarily because they have a huge love towards scraping gum of chairs or walk around in rooms jam packed of sick people. (and perhaps some dead ones?) "-its gay" Would you like to clarify this? I have no idea what you are talking about and if it is what I think it is I do not think this is a good argument either. As said if it is prepared correctly it do taste quite good. Sure if you buy hermetic whale-meat it must taste quite bad. What do you think whalers do with all the meat? Throw it back in the ocean or feed other animals with it? People do actually eat it - if not they would probably not conduct whale-killing. AGAIN; it is your opinion (and probably many others) that the meat tastes like trash. There is a reason why they kill whales; they want to earn money. And how do they earn money? Well one of the things would be that people actually buy/eat the meat. It can take up to 1 hour for a whale to die after it has been harpooned, and I can agree that it is not very nice. Even though it probably is completely wrong there are millions of other animals that are treated cruel too - not just the whales. But I will skip that discussion in this thread. I care about animals - I really do. But personally I do not think the "it-tastes-like-*BLEEP*"-argument is a good argument at all. You say you think it is okey if it actually tasted fine, well some of us think it does. I do not where you have tasted it or how it was prepared but when I tasted it for the first time it was just fine. I liked it, to be honest. Yes, it is cruel to kill animals. Especially when it is done in a very painful way - though it is like this with plenty of animals around the world.

You are not in peril and the staff will not ban you for writing a few one-liners. Come on, I have did it myself several times. The point is to not write post that have no content, meaning or anything at all. I am sure you will do GREAT here; loved your nice introduction. Do not be afraid of your posting.

Aahh, I know you right?! I think I do, at least I do remember you. Welcome back to the wonderful world of Trapsters. Some things have changed and you should read up on them - but I suppose you already know that. Great to meet you again kobra500 or Miles. Enjoy your stay.

Hi Pippin95... ...and welcome to Xisto! Just like all the other has mentioned it would be great if you re-wrote your introduction. And introduction is supposed to introduce yourself to us so we get to know you better. It is not hard and it would be highly appreciated. You should get used to writing quality posts as that is a very important thing here on Trap. STILL you are welcomed to the forum, and I will just throw in this wonderful link where you can read about all kinds of useful stuff. Enjoy your stay, hopefully you will come back and fix you introduction a little bit. It would be a nice thing.

Hello and welcome to Xisto Max aka maxpiut! rvalkass has already filled in the information regarding where you can find this and that - so I will not repeat. Just wanted to give you a warm welcome to the forum, *hugs* and wish you good luck! Please try to avoid one-liners as they are considered almost like spam. You should try to avoid spam in general as the keyword here at Trap is good, quality posts. It would be nice if you told us a little bit more about yourself; interest and other fun stuff. It is just a thought, I am not forcing you. Again welcome and good luck! Hopefully you will enjoy your stay here with all of us at Trap. Bluebear, Norway.

Thanks for the help both of you, but maybe I should explain a little bit more to make things more clear. I am doing fairly well with my brothers camera (as seen on the image below), so I am looking for something like that. What I want is to find more alternatives than just this one - so I have more cameras to choose from. My old camera had 6.0 mega pixels, 2.0 LCD monitor (not that I care much about that) and some other things I do not remember right now. It was a very simple camera - and I would like to "upgrade" my new one as well as having more options, if you know what I mean? My dad has some Leica camera, he loves it but I think it is very heavy and look ancient. The camera is quite weird, though he claim that is a good one. I will not buy one of those anyway. (They are probably above my "budget" and I do simply not want one.)

FIRST OF ALL: Emo = emotional and is actually a music genre. Or it used to be, but people have turned it into a "sickness" or even a style. I suppose the majority of you guys are a lot older than me, but I do know a lot about this. I have some friends who have the "emo-style." Black, red, stripes, dark, nail polish, heavy eye make-up and you name it. Then again I have other friends who are just "emo". I say it that way because I still think emo is a music genre and not anything else at all. (Still the best way to for example describe the "emo-style" is to use those exact words.) My friends, or we will just say friend as I have only got one of those, do not necessary cut herself, but she "likes" pain as it takes her mind of all of her other problems. If you have the "emo-style" people thing you cut yourself, and if you wear a little bit too much black some day at school (for example black nail polish) people again thing you are emo. It is a weird world, though I kind of grew up with this style around me and I am used to it. Now for the suicide thingy. I think some sertain people here think it is their choice, something they can control and that they can "rather go exercise or something." Well unfortunately it is not that easy and it does not have a quick fix. I have had suicide around me too, it sucks but it is just life I suppose. One of my acquaintances "decided" to leave this world suddenly... he had been in war and struggled a lot at school. I also have a neighbour (had would be more correct), but I do not know the reason why he did it. It is a really sad an tough topic. If you go through it yourself or have someone around you it can be easier to understand. In many cases it comes from almost nowhere... I do not know how to say this, but it is just not as easy to get rid of the problem as it seems to.

I have no idea when I read this book. I suppose it is a series, my book is named "Artemis Fowl" too. It looks like on the picture. It has been many years now I think! But as it is still in my (huge) bookshelf in my room I suppose I liked it. The shiny cover on my book is hard to read so I have not refreshed up my memory. I bought it from some book-club, and I remember that many (or all) of the books were amazing, so maybe this one is no exception. Honestly I can not remember it at all, but I sure recognised the title of this topic.

Barack Obama The Next President Of The Us
Bluebear replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
Awww, this is so great! Not because I am such a politic person, but that Obama is elected for president is progress and it shows change. He has some huge cases on his hand, and now the big task for him would be to prove to the people that he is actually worthy for the job. The US plays a big role on the earth, and when they select a new president it is everywhere! Literally! Today we had a huge discussion on sosial-studies class regarding this election. Our teacher is a supporter of McCain (?), and as the rest of the class adores Obama you can just imagine how that turned out. We will just have to wait and see if he copes with the tasks, who knows how this will turn out? He is the first afro-american president in the US and even though that really should not affect anything in politics and in live in general - it does. The press cover of the election was/is amazing... we are actually working on tasks regarding it at school right now, that is kind of crazy. Anyway congratulations United States of America! -
Welcome Theresa aka jobfreeworld. This neat little link might come in handy if you have any questions at all, but I would strongly recommend that you take good look at it anyway. We are a quite good community here at Trap, and if you need help with pretty much anything there are always someone here that want and are able to help you. Your introduction was quite short - it is always nice to know a little bit more about the members, but it is your choice. As said above try to avoid spam and one-liners as we do not like spam. The key word here at trap is good quality posts. Besides from all this it is always nice to have some new girls at the forum, we are quite low on those here. Again welcome so much to Xisto Theresa, I hope to see you around and enjoy your stay!

Hi and welcome to Xisto Vyoma. Great to meet you members, it seems like we have made a lot of new members from Xisto lately. I am sure you guys behave good over there too, but just in case you need it: The help topic. It should not be hard to find help and answers, but a link has never hurt anyone? Welcome to the forum I suppose. You are probably used to things kind of like this already, so I will not repeat all that stuff. Just remember to keep your one-liners at a decent level and try to avoid spam. We will not kill you if you do, but just be slightly careful from time to time. I always love to read about the new members as persons, not just as "hosting-people", though it is your choice if you want to write a little bit more about yourself or not. Besides from this I can only wish you good luck and enjoy it.

Welcome to the world of trapsters Ruben. You are (kind of) just like me! I always give up when I can not manage whatever I was trying to do, and I always choose the easy option... except that you are maybe actually going somewhere. Xisto is a good place to start; good host, nice community etc.. We have just started with a new system here at Trap (not completely started with it yet) and as I am kind of confused (I am used to the old system.) it would be easier just to read about it yourself. the help topic is also a great place to read and learn. You seem like a good poster, good introduction. Please do not write (too many) one-liners as they are considered as spam - and we do not like spam do we? I am sure you will fit right in here, so enjoy your stay! From Bluebear, Norway.

Well I am looking for a new camera as I think I have lost my old one. If I mysteriously find it again I will buy a new one even though as my old one is... old, and I want a better camera. The old one is a Sony DSC-W30 - the typical "I just want to shoot decent pictures of my family"-camera. It has been some years since my dad gave it to me. Many of my friends have Canon eos400d/450d, some have Nikon d80/d40/60 or that sort of cameras. I am the typical go-around-and-take-pictures-of-weird-things kind of person, if that helps. I need it to be easy to handle, but yet have extra functions and options. I have a strong feeling that everything is more expensive here, but keep the price under 1000 USD... a lot lower if possible.

Time for a small "update"! I do not think people really know the huge differences between different for example different foundation. Lately mineral foundation has taken over the market and companies such as Maybelline and Loreal are advertising on the television for this type of make-up. Sure it looks great when the super-perfect model is wearing it - but can we know that she is even wearing it for real? Even so maybe she has perfect skin in the first place. My experience is that companies that do not advertise as much for their products are often the best. Cheap stuff such as the make-up you can buy at the grocery store or at for example H&M (I can not think of anything else) often contains a lot of ingredients that are bad. To state what I am saying I am going to show an example. Remember the less ingredients = the better! Loreal True Match Minerals is the first mineral-foundation I ever bought. The colours look orange and neither one of them never looked good at me. (I have very light skin.) The brush is hard, bad and unsuitable for mineral-foundation. (It is so bad I would rather say it is not good enough for anything.) It is not 100% minerals. Yet they claim that it is "healthy." I ask: compared to what? Ingredients: (Found at hildechristina.com) Everyday Minerals Foundations is the one I am using now and I think it is great! It is cheap - some say it is better than the famous I.D as it do not contain an ingredient that may cause allergic reactions or that the skin turn "clear or blanc" after a short amount of time. Applied with a good brush (such as a big kabuki brush) in circular motions it looks good. They have a lot of different formulas and colours for different types, shades of skin and needs. Ingredients: (Also found at hildechristina.com) Convinced?

Wow, this is a very late reply. I did not notice that you responded before I searched around the forum today, so if this is too late I am very sorry. As it suits your skin colour there is no reason why you should order a shade darker, right? You should try to choose a different formula as the original glow does not cover much at all. It is just to give some cover and a healthy glow. The different formulas are made for different needs and skin. If you want a lot of coverage I would suggest the "Intensive" but it may be to harsh. "Matte" is also a great choice so I would suggest ordering samples of both formulas. You should use a kabuki brush or at least a (big) brush designed for the purpose of applying mineral foundation. EM has some great and cheap ones at their website, I have two of them and they are great. All you do is to take a small amount of the powder in the lid and then you should "heat" the powder up in the lid. (The test-boxes have a tiny lid, so you should rather try with a bigger lid or something else.) You do this by gently moving the brush around and around - remember to be careful as the powder tends to disappear in the air... Then you apply it in thin layers. You have to add more powder in the lid and repeat that thingy over and over again. As said you should buy a new brush - using old or bad brushes is just going to make your make-up look worse, bad or horrible. So buy a new one if you really want to see how good this is. I think EM's costs around 10 USD, not bad compared to some other brands. The brush should be soft, it should not "hurt" when you use it.
