I got suckered into the same thing myself when I signed up for Classmates.Com. I was really disappointed that Classmates was involved in such a thing because I had really enjoyed using their services otherwise. Yes, I admit, perhaps I should have been more careful by reading the fine print and paying closer attention to my credit card statements. It was several months before it actually dawned on me that these charges from Reservation Rewards and Shopper's Discounts were not something I had signed up for, but a scam. When it finally dawned on me that something was amiss, I also typed "Reservation Rewards" in a search engine. When dozens and dozens of websites about angry people who had been scammed came up, my eyes flew open wide. Now honestly, it really scares me that these people are checking up online to see what comments are out there about them. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? This is America. You can say anything you want about any company you want. It doesn't mean everyone has agree with you but you do have that right. I also checked Webloyalty companies out with the Better Business Bureau and found they only have a mediocre rating due to the high volume of customer complaints. Maybe some people like to use their services, but the majority of people who have had contact with Reservation Rewards have not had a good experience. I feel, and many would agree with me, that the way you get signed up for their services is very misleading. You think that this $10.00 coupon is being offered by the company you are doing business with. You don't realize that the offer is being made by an entirely different company. Yes, perhaps Americans need to learn how to read the fine print better. Perhaps the reason that companies like Reservation Rewards are doing so well is because they are counting on the fact that many Americans just aren't that bright. Personally I prefer to earn a living by doing an honest day's work, not by laying in wait and counting on others to slip up, but hey, that's just me. Anyhow, these people did cancel my membership and now I have to fill out some form to request a refund for all the money I lost. Who knows if I'll get that. I did have an idea, however. How about alerting one of those news shows like 20/20 or Dateline? Do you suppose they might want to do a show about this sort of thing? Alerting other consumers to scams like these might not be a bad idea. I would hate to see others go through what I had to. Does anyone else out there think that's a good idea? It is so hard when their are two people in your life. I think for many people their are two people because one makes up for the lack of attractive attributes that you would like to see in the only that you initially loved. I am married and have been for about fours years but last year I met someone and we became friends, just friends, and now he would like to have more. He would like to give me the world. I know that my friend can give me happiness in many ways, but I do wonder what I will miss. I wonder if the grass is greenier. I am scared that he too will have unfavorable attributes, as we are not all perfect. My marriage is anything but perfect and I am indeed willing to work on it, but my husband is not. I believe goodness is in the nature of us all though we sometimes don't think with minds. wolves don't kill fellow pack members unless rebelled or if others threaten their pack. When a fellow wolf is injured the others will lick the wound. And help. Even following nature we should learn of goodness yet strength when needed. Religion hasnt done me any good for the past few months. All religions want the same thing and changes show in the branches of religion. Cuz we are all different. Sometimes I wounder if we are in heaven as it is just that some don't see it as because the lost common sence of men(the generalality of men and women). Buddhist had good morals and was created 500 years before christianity. Buddhist are peaceful people (when they are). Ive cried so much lately for the confussion of the world. I wish we could all just get along and enjoy the world inwhich we ALL live in. We can be individuals with acceptance of others. I believe people cant help what they believe. Its as different as the finger print on our fingers. aprox 150,000 different religions. I love the world for the world I just hate how the world is ran. People follow someone elses heart instead of their own. Bad ideas come from parents and as I once seen. "the cure for crime is not the electric chair its the high chair". I also believe the the most golden rule ever besides the idea of karma which ive seen at work deeply and the "treat others as you would want to be treated". I don't believe in evil nor hell. I believe that we are all good at heart only we are misconceptive of the mistakes people make everyday. Though deep down they don't want it. my goal. I can't believe so many people are agreeing with this. Obviously, you don't understand what video games are. So let me explain. A video game is always one of two things: either a storytelling medium, or a sport to be played with friends. Now, if someone it reading a book, we consider that to be good, right? Literature is good for he brain, it stimlulates creativity and opens our minds to the world in ways that normal life can't. Movies, for someone who understands th art and studies them, are also good: they have messages and a very tangible artistic value. These two things are storytelling mediums: their main goal is to tell a story. It is the same with video games. Think of them as interactive movies: you watch a story unfold, and for most of it you actually get to control your character's actions and, on some level, influence the story. Say what you want about them, but the main goal of a single-player game is to tell a story, and if you are going to call that a waste of time, I suggest seling all your books and never watching a movie again. If a game is not a story, it is a sport. In fact, most games have both, such as Halo and Gears of War. Both of these series tell stories (Halo has an especially epic and intriguing story), but they also have multiplayer modes, allowing multiple people to play competitively at one time, or even allowing them to go through the story together. But story aside, multiplayer is a social event. It is a group of friends getting together, in person or online, so play against and with each other in the same way they would play basketball or Risk. True, they are not getting physical activity from this, but consider the double standard it would represent if you use this as an argument: it's okay if they have a career indoors, it's okay if they use the entire day to fully read a book, and it's okay for friends to get together and watch a movie, but it 's a waste of time for them to get together to play a video game? This mindset makes most arguments against video games illogical and hypocritical. The point is, whether people aretaking part in an epic adventure of love, loss, conflict, and emotion, or just getting together to have some fun with their friends, video games are far from a waste of time. They tell stories beyond imagining and give people new ways to connect and have fun. Should they be played all day long? Of course not. A browser is not 'standards compliant' if you have to type in proprietary code to make it work, which is exactly what has to happen with Firehoax (Mozilla) and Chrome (WebKit). For examples (for anyone who does not know), here is the Aplha/Opacity filter made to work with the three browsers mentioned. IE: Filter:Alpha(opacity=50) Firehoax: -moz-opacity:.50 Safari/Chrome: -webkit-opacity:.50 So, in order to be standards-compliant, I have to use all three of these -two of which are proprietary? That makes no sense. It is not Microsoft failing to comply; it is Mozilla failing to grow up. Internet Explorer is a full-featured browser. If you cannot handle its power, just say so. I'm a eighth grader and I had the almost exact story you have, I'm very inexperienced I have only had 2 great guy friends in my whole life so that made me very shy with ever even saying the word "hi" but I never had any problem with having girl friends. But for some reason when ever it looked like a guy would approach me, my heart would pound in my chest, my neck and mouth would get all dry and my palms would sweat. The only problem is. I have a hard time trying to talk to guys that are decent - like guys that are rated a 6 out a 10 but when ever a guy is a loser or a nerd I have no problem talking to them mostly because they don't intimidate me. I think that?s what it all is, intimidation, which are the reasons I seem all tense and nervous around guys. Honestly you may think intimidation is a little rare but not for me its not like there?s guys that only look like models at my school ( defiantly not) its that I think the average Joe is pretty hot so imagine how many guys are average, yea, for me that?s like everyone. The typical normal guys is not bad of a face and body and still pretty good with conversation like most people, kinda like there always in a okay comfort-zone. So the word good is what I'm lookin for. I mean so many people say I'm pretty and an okay chick but you can never really judge your self, you have to get the opinion of your peers at first to feel what rate of chick you are. Most say I'm an 8 outa 10, so I accept that as above average. But I always wasn't a 8 when I got to middle school it seemed that you can't fit in unless your pretty so it took me a while to get familiar with make-up and a good style for me with clothes but something that still fits my age so no skimpy stuff. So after the whole good looks transition, I was a lil lost after that, I?ve been working so hard on the first impressions, I forgot about my personality. I mean I didn't forget myself, but in my personality there was always one thing that kept me from interacting with people which was my shyness, that was always the thing that held me back from making friends, was letting them to know about me, to kinda getta feel of who I really am. So then I finally broke my shyness at least enough for people to feel comfortable with me, it took me about a 3 years to get here. And I feel pretty prepared about how to start off with people. But ofcourse it wasn't just about friends it was about guys too. The thing I admired and brang me to the confidence of a good start, after I learned that I was good at starting off I still got lost! I was still inexperienced with even getting to a friend relationship with guys. This frustrates me pretty badly especially how I see a cute couple in my school. I wish I had that at least a little bit of it, to have someone adore me and happy to see me. My only goal!Since the average Joe seems intimidating to me I feel that I should go after easy targets so I can kinda start as a beginner. Although it sounds like a good plan it isn't the guys I go after are usually bad boys or trouble makers or jerks, they are usually negative for me they could actually make my life even more difficult, now that I think about it! But even the jerks don't want me I feel like I'm doing something wrong and am embarrassed by trying to show my vulnerable side to a guy that doesn't deserve it. But now I think that I should just wait and have it come to me. Idk about this drama of growin up and all these mature decisions I'm thinkin of.
