WalMart...is it going downhill?Wal-martIs WalMart going downhill? I would say yes and no. They are expanding and building new stores, as well as upgrading the older stores. Since I used to be an employee of WalMart, I do know they're trying to change some things. Yes, they do have a reputation of how they treat their employees, not the greatest. They're not exactly taking our jobs, either, but they also have discontinued many items that a lot of people used to buy, or so I've noticed. Either people are using a similar product, or going elsewhere to purchase their favorite things which WalMart no longer carries. The stocks at WalMart haven't been very good for almost a decade, and won't pick up again until the economy goes back up. I do think a lot of WalMart's downfall is since they treat their workers poorly, the customers wind up being treated poorly as well. Of course, none of us have to work there, if they really hated WalMart so much, they could leave. They hired me after my husband left me when I was 6 months pregnant with our son. I worked there until I had him, and 6 weeks later, I came back after my doctor cleared me. They were the only place who would hire me pregnant, so I do credit them with that much. They got me through some tough times as well, giving me employment while I was a single parent. Unfortunately, a lot (not all) of single parents I've known working at WalMart didn't appreciate their job and treated customers poorly. They do need to focus more on taking better care of their employees and their customers. If you don't keep your workers happy, the customers won't be happy, either.I'd say they have a better chance than other retailers.-reply by Christina Nunn

How do I get PPPoE in Windows XP to log in automatically on boot? Note: Remember PPPoE is now native to Windows XP. 1) In Control Panel open "Network Connections" 2) Right click on your broadband connection icon and select "Properties" 3) Uncheck "Prompt for name and password..." 4) Click "OK" 5) Open your "C:/Documents and settings" folder 6) Open the "All Users" folder 7) Open the "Start Menu" folder 8) Open the "Programs" folder 9) Go to your Programs Folder -> Startup 9) Copy a short-cut of your Broadband Connection, from the Network Connections folder in to the "Startup" folder If that does not work for you, try this: Create a shortcut for your Broadband Connection, place it on your desktop Go to Start Menu -> "Programs" -> "System Tools" -> "Scheduled Tasks" Double click "Add Scheduled Task" Click "Next" Click "Browse" -> browse to the shortcut you had placed on your desktop -> Select it -> Click "Open" Click "When my computer starts" Click "Next" Enter the Username and password for the administrator on your PC, if you do not use passwords to log in, leave it blank -> Click "Next" Click "Finish"

Google Grants Advertising for non-profit organizations
iGuest replied to delivi's topic in Search Engines
Your Profit Gateway.com SCAM!Google GrantsSTAY AWAY takes your money and information uses it to promote their false promises. When you call the contact number it's a third party company that could care less. I was told "to bad" when I called to confront them about automatically taking money out of my account. NO REFUNDS for any reason. Don't fall for the trial period amount it's just to get your information and your access to your credit card. -reply by Ruth -
OK the problem regarding the iPod skipping songs I think is because of different problems. I might have a solution for one of them. One of the problems I think, is due to the iPod itself (that explains why it played the song before but now it skips it.) I also had the problem before where a song plays for 30 sec and then skips to the next song (this was fixed by setting the end time, just check the end time, you don't need to type in the time unless it says something like 30 secs) The other problem is when the song you just transfer to your iPod and it won't play and it just skip to the next song. I recently downloaded a song and it wouldn't play on my iPod. It was fine when I played it on iTunes but not on my iPod. What I did was, and I read that some people just converted it to AAC but mine would give me an error and I didn't want to decrease the quality of the song, so I used GoldWave (you can download it for free) I opened the song and click save as, you can either replace the file or save it with another name just make make sure that if your file bit is 320 save it 320 stereo or if is 225 then save it 225 stereo. Then it will promt a message saying you need LAME version 98.0 or later or something like that just click download and it will do it automatically and it will be saved. The only thing is that when you do that, you will lose the art work but that's not a big of a problem. I hope this help because it did fix my problem. -reply by Diana

how did you get 11 letters out of new york? The 9/11 Tragedy TheoriesNew York has only 7 letters how did you get 11 letters out of that? I'm not complaining or anything like that I was just wondering. All the other stuff sounds weird, but true. I don't see why we couldn't just bomb them back, but with heavier artillery. For them killing almost 3,000 people and we just try to help their government. Thats pretty for us to do, don't you think? So will you reply me with your answer about how you got 11 letters out of New York?Thanks-question by Matt Delgado

Office 2007 Document Problems / I might have found a solution for Office 2003, but your mileage may vary....Office 2007 Document ProblemsThanks to Byros for that very useful post 8/9/2009: I had a sudden problem with office 2007 on Vista with sp2...Could not open most .Doc files. Word would crash during the opening process and I would have to manually kill it. Indeed, as Byros suggested, my "Webclient" service was stopped, it was even set to "disabled". Restarting it and setting it to "automatic" fixed the problem right away. Thank you Byros -reply by Michael

yahoo chat is the biggest joke of the internet. I have conducted my own survey to find real people but so far only bots, web site hustlers or other assorted promoters of dating services etc now probably yahoo gets away with this or does not care since they " hold up" their site visitors volume on the search engine to sell ads of their own

Advice On Eliminating Audio Noise, Please?
iGuest replied to banjosforpeace's topic in Hardware Workshop
Although an old thread, people might still be reading this to find solutions to their problems. I've had the exact same problem mentioned above/below. The speakers tell me when I moved my mouse. My line-out is adjacent to the USB port where I connect my mouse. I disconnected the mouse USB and reconnected (to the same port), and voila. Problem solved. HTH, mouse. -reply by mouse -
