two laptops, one shuts down on it own and the other slows down Laptop Slowing Down?hey I need help, I got a laptop that crashes on its own, for example when I download flash, it works for about a minute or two and it crashes. If I turn it on without letting it cool down it crashes again. As for a friends laptop. Logic destroys Pro Tools PERIOD...End of story. For $499 plus decent gear (interface $200-500, monitors $199-500, a mic $199-500 and headphones), you could start making hit songs with stellar instruments, loops and plug-ins. So in essence, with $1500 max you are in business with everything Apple has to offer with no limitations or a watered down version of their software. However with Digi, a similiar setup is $1549 (Digi 003 without mic, monitors, etc) and you don't have a plethora of instruments nor plug-ins. Also you are limited with 48 tracks which is fine if you only work at home. But suppose you wanted to upgrade your system because your needs are growing? To go PT HD1 it will run you between $7000 -$9000 for core card and interface. This is no mole hill jump. With Logic, all you have to do is add more Ins/Outs via interfaces and you're good. Or if you wanted to be safe in recording a live band, you could do what other professionals are doing and invest in a Alesis HD24 $1599 (or 2-3) to record 24 tracks and then import them into Logic. My point is that for $7000 you could get other high-end out-gear and become more versatile than spending $7000 for just a card, dvd (software) and interface. That's just STUPID! I had an idea about stacking up my adventures. From 40 a day, I didn't play a whole week. When I played again, I had tons of adventures! I continued not loging in for one month, I didn't play for months. When I wanted loged back in, I forgot my username and password! I tried all my password and username combinations but it didn't work! you can't register twice. When I tried to register again, it worked! somehow, my past account was deleted. Why? But all is better now! I'm now a sauseror at level 6 going for level 7! I have more items and familiars now! I even have rare items! For an MMO, Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO) is just the best, people who still think World of Warcraft and anything like it is still good are idiots. World of Warcraft and its twins were good for their time...Which was about 4 years ago, in DDO the character development is just as advanced as D&D and its all dungeons, not to mention that the game is now COMPLETELY FREE! And when I say dungeon I don't mean fighting monsters inside instead of outside, I mean traps, secret doors, many different bosses, puzzles, the things a dungeon ACTUALLY has. Here is the situation, about 2 weeks ago one of my computers stopped in the middle of a game and shut down. That was it. I restarted the computer and it powered up and went into the normal startup sequence, it did hit the BIOS screen, then powered down unexpectedly. Daily I monitor but I can control becoz my firewall shows the system broadcasting.If your antivirus not good than nobody can do. I was cosidering buying Counter-Strike:Condition Zero until I saw ratings for it and heard what my friends were telling me about it. It got lower ratings than what I thought at about 7.0-8.0. (If I remember correctly at Gamespot). Some of my friends say that the bots in the missions are pretty lame and easy to beat, and others say that they are advanced. Frankly I would say Final Fantasy. Halo was, o-k for one playthrough and a bit of multiplayer but it got unbearibly boring after a while. While there are plenty of Final Fantasy games and the older ones got pretty decent replay value, not so sure about the new ones as I refuse to buy a PS3 as a PS4 will most likely be out in a few years. Also Halo fans act really, really, retarded. And if you notice about 89% of their players are 9-12 year olds.

Tobe able to download a file you need to change the permissions for the file itself, you do this with a ftp program, I use Cyberduck, a great free program (only for mac, sorry), but I'm sure you can use Fillezilla, another good program, then give the access in the file options for reading to anyone.
