  1. It seems I was trying to visit your site when the server drives were being fixed. I can now see your home page again. However, the color viewer page only shows this: My Javascript works fine. I don't know what the problem might be.
  2. Astahost address: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Site Address: http://www.racheleddey.com/ Theme: Music - performer/instructor Active: YES Added - m^e
  3. Hey, microscopic^earthling! Have you tried The Godfather. I use it from time-to-time to tag mp3s that my band records. It has a ton of functions, but I don't know if it is what you are looking for. It is freeware. Check it out here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  4. If you are using a Windows XP system, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to see the task manager. Click the Process tab to see which process is utilizing a lot of the CPU. If you see a process doing something and don't know what it is, type the file name into Google and search to see if anything related to viruses or keyloggers comes up. Or, post the file name here for more help.
  5. This page doesn't seem to work. Your site also seems to be having problems at the moment. Please post a message when you have it up and running again so I can check it out.
  6. This poster is now hanging at the Rosewood Theatre. It looks WAY better on paper than on screen. I'm really pleased.
  7. Geez, thanks! I've looked through your artwork before. Coming from you, that's a huge compliment!
  8. I haven't been able to sign up for Audioscrobbler! I fill out the page, click submit, then I get a blank page. Every single time. It won't confirm my registration and it doesn't log my songs.Bummer.
  9. ninjamunky provided you with really good step-by-step instructions, though I've ALWAYS had trouble with IE's FTP. Try a good freeware FTP, like FileZilla or any good one from nonags.com.
  10. There's little that users should care about in all of this, unless you have a personal love for anything IBM and will be sad to see it continue to be sectioned off, sold, discontinued, shutdown, etc. The old company will probably be gone within a few years. Intel is merely providing replacement chips to Apple because IBM is gradually going away, as evidenced by IBM's selling off their PC hardware division to a Chinese company not long ago. And by the way, despite what Intel's hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising tells you, they are running scared of lil' ol' AMD. It will take them several years to catch up in the 64-bit market - the future of computing - so they're trying to make all kinds of deals and shouting them to the public in the hopes of maintaining the appearance of strength. (Remember all the crowing last year ago about Intel providing chips for Dell's mobile devices??? Never materialized.) Yes, they still have much more market share than AMD ON EXISTING SYSTEMS, but as old machines come out of server rooms, off of desktops and replaced in laps, it shall dwindle. Apple doesn't NEED Intel. Intel NEEDS Apple. Intel provided the low bid with a high production estimate. Any chip maker can take on the task nowadays. Apple merely gets to benefit from a widely known name of Intel, not some major advance in technology. This is no major advance or setback in the world of computing. This is marketeers trying to make stock prices go up, not make our lives easier.
  11. I have no recommendation of a specific drive, but here's one of my posts from another thread about SATA drives. You'll find helpful info from others in the thread, as well. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/82356-topic/?findpost=
  12. I'm a Jetta owner so I wish great things for your site! First, in terms of color choices, the grey and white theme is boring, but not awful. Is it the default color scheme? Anyway, I'm partial to green, either a Beetle green or Forest Green theme would be great. I'm thinking that a nice effort could be made to match a VW interior/exterior color scheme to the site layout. Ya know, Dark base color then contrasting tints for highlights and slip in some light and dark greys for accents. Then match your banners and other graphics to the site colors. But green isn't the only answer. The overall layout is pretty good for what it is. One suggestion I would make (if at all possible) is to move the login form to the top right corner, put the Newsflash just below and then the poll. Finally, I find User Ratings generally useless. That's just me. Someone else may see value in them, but for what you are doing, I see no reason. If it were my site, I'd turn them off. I hope I was helpful. Good luck with the site!
  13. I don't understand by "playing the music file on another site." Do you mean that you are using your hosting to store the music file and you have posted the link on a site that has a different host? If so, that should not be a problem. The only reason that would not work is if you got the URL or the file name typed incorrectly. Do you have spaces in the file name? Does the file name use and odd punctuation? Is it an mp3, a wma, an ogg, real audio, etc? More info would help solve your problem.
  14. You can find other discussion threads right here in the Xisto forums that will help you with this. Check out the following threads for help. If you have other questions, keep posting! http://forums.xisto.com/topic/83674-topic/?findpost=1064302022= http://forums.xisto.com/topic/82680-topic/?findpost=1064294774= http://forums.xisto.com/topic/80372-topic/?findpost=1064277080=
  15. I think it is pretty great for me because I can search for people who like Old Crow Medicine Show, or The Mammals, or Uncle Earl... really obscure string band stuff and find others who like it. The automatic recommendations are cool, but nothing beats being able to identify other music geeks like me.
