Hi Trappers. My Site: http://www.kartonista.com/ This website has been running for at least, 2 months now. Powered by WordPress with and using my own tweak of thewebnews theme. It's just a personal blog. Once I have enough money to buy my own scanner, I'll be posting more artworks on the website. You may not be familiar with most of the topics, it's just some ramblings, local issues, and some anime stuffs. Later this year or early next year, I hope to publish my own manga on this site. Any feedback, suggestions and comments are welcome.

Losing weight is not limited to exercises, diet should never be overlooked. When setting up an exercise regiment, make sure that it's supplemented with proper diet. As for the diet that would suit you, we need more information, like your current weight, height, daily food intake, etc. If you want to loss more weight, continue with your jog (in place and moving). Increase your liquid intake to compensate for the water lost during the exercise and shift into a fiber-rich diet. (fruits, veggies and oatmeal). Losing weight doesn't mean that you have to be a vegetarian. If you love meat, eat meat. Just make sure that it's not read meat and keep it to a minimum.

I love the new forum design, blue and the web 2.0 feel on the buttons and functions. As for the main page, as Anwii mentioned it's magical. If it's brown, I was hoping for something darker, chocolate brown would be better, and greater contrast, so Ivory on the text.Anyhow, I love the forum and I'm hoping to see the main page use the same color scheme.

High school isn't the best but it's one of the most interesting. You get to meet girls, and think about sex and maturity. It's like having the greatest days of your life right in front of you yet you can't touch it yet. High school was when I started playing computer games, mainly counterstrike, diablo 2 and starcraft. Wait 'til you're in college, that's when the real fun starts. High school is more of a bridge between adulthood and innocence. Most people love the transition one go through in high school. I prefer the destination.

I'd personally pick HP laptops. Not as expensive as Mac or Sony but reliable. It's mainstream as you required and good models like the dv2 dm3t and dv6t are below USD 1000. I did have a Lenovo once. Lasted for a decade and still working. Just have to make sure it's always plugged in. It's a really old laptop but it's still a surprise that it lasted 10 years. Running on Windows 98 and I can still play Diablo 2 in it and some StarCraft. Recent crisis had me picked an MSI Wind 12 u230. A real cheapo (less than USD 500)but it gets the work done and that's the main requirement for me. I think it's not just about the laptop's brand, it's also about the model.

It may not matter to the other members but it's worth sharing. I'm from the Philippines, and on Monday (May 10, 2010) we're going to choose a new President. It's crazy (in an active good/bad way) here and older people keep on saying that the election has never been as exciting as now. The 2010 election will also be a great leap for our nation, it's the first election to be automated. Machines, name PCOS (Precinct Count Optical Scanner) will be used to count the votes. It used to be manual counting where an election officer will manually count the votes on each sheet of paper, and the counting will never stop until the last of the ballots is accounted for. And if a losing candidate decides to file an electoral protest, it's a recount. With the machines, the COMELEC (Commission on Election) promises that it will be faster and less prone to cheating. I guess we'll find out in the next 2-3 days. We're a democratic country (thanks to the US) and my father loves it that way. I don't know if any of you have tried voting but it makes you feel like your part of the country's decision. (Just a feeling, though. My vote will count as one in around 50 Million voters.) Common Problems: 1. Vote Buying. Some candidates will try to bribe you into voting for them. I've been offered money by candidates. I declined. Some are smart enough to accept the money and vote for the good candidate, some are just plain stupid. 2. Dagdag/Bawas (A local term). It's during the manual counting when a bribed election officer increases the number of votes of the briber and decrease the votes of the opposing candidate. 3. Misinformation. We are dreamy people. When promised with something really great like "alleviation of poverty" and "a war against corruption", we'll definitely hear you out. And this has been used by candidates since we started running our country. Fortunately, the internet has been playing a major role in the information dissemination. Pinoy bloggers have since digging the truth about each candidate and it's like the online community of the Philippines is now being ran by Internet Media. 4. Media bias. Media-men picks a candidate and uphold him, and stomps on the opposing side. It's everywhere. The Internet Media, however, has been really kin on the choices. Bloggers are always just an email away. These are just some of the common problems with Philippine Politics. It will take decades, if not a century to straighten this out. I hope the Filipino people will choose the right president next week. Just sharing. Thank you for reading.

I was too lazy to read all the other posts:) I love the new theme..finally, it's been upgraded to work well with the site's flashy front page. I'm not a fan of the shoutbox but I'd love to see it again, just a smaller version though. Good job on making the "Fast Reply" option already open instead of having to click on the "Fast Reply" button. That's about it for me. Good job, Admins.

There really is a thin line between philosophy and science as shown in the replies. Anyhow, going back to the question of existence of life in the universe or other universes, it's probable. We'll never know until we find one (science). All we can do now is calculate the possibility and continue observing the worlds beyond our own.

I haven't read this book but I watched the movie and it's sad. The movie isn't catchy, it's boring and easy. I'm not sure about the book, though. If we base on hollywood's track record of books-to-movie, the book should be 3times better.

Hey Simple, have you already tried it out? How was it? I don't have a computer right now, just died, but will buy soon. I'm thinking of buying a laptop w/o OS and just install Ubuntu in it. Piracy is cool (in One Piece) but in real world, it's illegal. Just as these guys said, it's stealing money from the people who worked hard to make the artwork (movie, album, novels, etc.). I heard a Hong Kong actor (I think it was Jackie Chan) mentioned that it's a race. In Hong Kong, once a movie premiered, wait for 24 hours and you got pirated copies shipped all over Asia. In our country, there are thousands of small stores selling pirated copies of every movie ever released. And mind you, the pirates has tastes. If a movie is a box office flop, they crunch it into a 13-in-1 DVD (using DVD-9) which cost roughly $1.00. And if a movie is a hit or has won awards, it will be sold on a single disk. Academy winners like Avatar are sold for almost $2.00. And pirated movies aren't even limited to hollywood. I've seen DVDs with Bollywood titles like Krrissh (A beautiful movie. Just Imagine!! ) and non-english movies like Y Tu Mama Tambien, Gomorra, Postmen in the Mountain, Amelie and Malena. But the greatest joke with pirated movies is they play the FBI Warning about piracy just right before the movie starts. Not as a form of stereotyping but the people behind pirated copies are chinese nationals. Raids on pirated dvds/cds always give you a mugshot of some chinese guys supervising the whole operation.Some pirated copies also contains the "Marquee" Warning that says "This promotional video is for award purposes only." Someone in the awards committee could be dealing with the pirates. I watch pirated copies when I see a good title. I'm one of the pirates or just buyers of pirated goods.

Wahahaha. Nice set of reasonings! Google really is God. And he even forgot to mention that you won't even notice that you're already in the influence of Google! Thy will be done. It's just a joke but who knows. Christianity was once considered a joke. HahahaAmen, Google!

I sleep when I'm depress. Sleep relaxes me and though I'm still depress when I wake up, it clears up my mind and I get to look for ways to lessen the effects of depression. When I'm really depress, I watch movies even if it's really lame. There are people who pigs out when they're depress. I think each person has his/her own way of managing depression. Exercise works for some while not for others.

For some reason, I can't edit my previous post. Anyway, here's a quick plan I created. For one thing, the printers should have a static IP Address that is easily reachable by the computers in the first floor. And, in case, one breaks down, the other printer should also be available. The same goes for the printer in the 2nd floor, if it breaks down, the printers on the first floor should serve as a back up. (and vice versa). The requirement of the project is that there should be wireless connectivity throughout the area. I assume that since its in an office area, the wi-fi should also be within the network where the 150 computers are connected and should also have access to the printers (1st or 3rd floor), so I put it on the the same network as the other computers. Ohh. My bad. Instead of being a wireless router, it should only be a wireless access point. It's really simple. Will think about a better plan later this evening. I did not take into account security issues, possible problems, etc. Just want to make it work.

I'm not a guru with large networks like this. From my understanding of a router, an IP Address (Public IP) comes in and distributed to devices connected to (Local IP Addresses). All requests to the servers will first go through the main router/firewall. I believe the 2nd router on the network set up you have is unnecessary. I would recommend transferring the 2nd router to handle all data within the local network. Oh. I got tired of talking, currently drawing up plans. Please wait. Post it in a bit.

Malwarebytes is a really amazing apps (overstatement). I used to do freelance computer repairs and it's not surprising if you bump into Windows Defender 2009, Antivirus 2009 and 2010, Antispyware 2009 and 2010, Anti-XXXX 2009 or 2010 and more and more. Obviously, these are malwares. And the funny thing about these malware, it would automatically display a blue screen of death and make it look like your computer is restarting, when it's actually not. Going back to Malwarebytes. To get rid of these annoyances, installing Malwarebytes and performing a quick scan, does the trick most of the times. Of course there are weird issues beyond the power of Malwarebytes. (The premium version might be really powerful.)

Family computer! A red and white game console. I don't really remember the brand. I do remember inserting cartridges (Dragonball, hercules, mario, teenage mutant ninja turtle and adventure island.) Those were the days when you need to have a certain degree of imagination to make the characters look real. Oh.. pacman, galaga and battle city!

Kissing is a common symbol to show affection. And it's definitely fine that you were scared to kiss your boyfriend Tyler. First kiss is scary specially if you don't know what to do with the kiss or you don't know what to expect after the kiss. I'm not the most credible person to answer your question. I could, however, give you an advice about relationships and kissing. You're still 12 years old, darling. I'm sure girls have this fantasy of a fairy-tale-like first kiss and if you do, please wait for the right moment. I can't tell with whom you should give your first kiss but you'll feel it when the chance jumps in front of you. At 12, a kiss is really special. So make the most of it and make it just a kiss, yet. You'll have plenty of time for the next steps. Enjoy.

Thanks for the quick and brief discussion k_nittin_r.So, basically, XHTML wants to move forward while HTML5 aims to look both forward and backwards. When I started learning and reading basic concepts of web design, there was an xhtml 1.0 craze. Now HTML5 will be taking the stage. Anyhow, I doubt if normal webbys would care. As long as they can read and enjoy the cool effects on their screen, they'd just waggle their tails and drool (opps). It is a big deal to those who wants to learn web design and web application development (if i'm not mistaken). For the techies, the battle continues while the surfers...well, continue surfing.

Before twitter, there was texting. Share your thoughts and status by texting it to your friends. That's why it works well with teenagers, the confused who love to have their voice heard! I used to send 100+ text messages a day. (of course, I live in what they call "texting capital of the world")

I'm new to all of this. What's the difference between XHTML 2.0 and HTML 5.0. ? There are debates as to what direction of the internet. I've also read articles that cite or discusses the plus and minuses of the two languages but I still am having problems with understanding their core difference.

Both the iPhone and Android (HTC's Nexus) are interesting phone but I don't I'll buy any of them, they're too expensive for me. I did try out an iPhone 3G which really rocks and elegant. I haven't seen anyone using HTC in my country, it may take several months before they start shipping out one that will work here. I'm keeping my trusty Moto.
