  1. Oh my god. I totally forgot. Do you have a wireless adapter connected to your main computer? I just re-read your first post and I noticed that you didn't mention having a wireless adapter (USB wireless or PCIE Wireless card) installed on your computer. If you don't then we figure out the problem. To set up the Win7 Ultimate computer and turn it into a router, it has to have a wireless adapter to transmit/receive signal. But if you have it, then it must be some settings on either the computer or the HTC. The easiest way to solve it would be using a wireless router.
  2. For the sake of replying, I've tried keylogger before. (5-6 years ago). As the name suggests, it will give you all the keystrokes but the results (the logs) will give you a real headache. It will be a bunch of letters and numbers, shifts and spaces. And if you'll looking for a password, you better have a good eyesight. It was just college fun. We used it to hack into our enemy's Ragnarok accounts to steal their equipments. Before that I was a victim of keyloggers and my Ragnarok account was completely deleted. Resbak lang. I don't have any updates on keyloggers.
  3. Open your Firefox and type "about:cache" and it will give you the directories and list of the cached and temporary files that was saved on your computer.
  4. Sepak Takraw. If you don't know what this game is, imagine volleyball but with the use of your feet, head and chest (yeah. Just like football.) And instead of using an air-field ball, use a plastic or ratan ball. I'm sure some SouthEast Asians or Asians are familiar with this game. Canadians, too.
  5. I'm from the Philippines. And just like Strikee, it's a rather old thread!
  6. I'd say facebook. I haven't tried MySpace because its login page is ugly. Lol
  7. I'm a fan of Dr. Michio Kaku because he's a genius yet he has the power to turn complicated ideas like time traveling into something for the mass to understand. I'm no genius so I keep on reading his blog to learn those complicated theoritical physics problems/discussions, etc. As for time travel, here's how he discusses it. 8. Husker is right, the flaw is when you divide (x - y) on both sides. We have rules to follow, BODMAS, when solving equations. B - Brackets , O - Operations, D - Divisions, M - Multiplication, A - Addition and S - Subtraction. When (x - y) was isolated from the equation, it means that we have to calculate it first. And since x = y, then x - y would give us 0. And down it goes the drain. Nice one! Almost got me there.
  9. It might happen someday, maybe 5-7 years from now. (I hope so.). The N-Draft Wireless, which could go up to 300Mbps promises better speed but still in half-duplex. And the best speed I've seen on a Draft-N router and a Draft-N Network Card is around 240 Mbps. Security-wise, wired is still the best.

    Why?

I'm not religious but base on what I've observed, it's about people finding certainty in what they have. I understand that we're living in an uncertain world, we will never know what will happen in the next few seconds, hours, days and years. The person we love could also love us, the next day he/she's off to someone. The same goes to life. We're alive now, and maybe not in just a few seconds. Again, an uncertain world were anything could happen and with no warning. Now, if something/someone could provide you with a certainty in life (Perfect life in paradise after this chaotic life, a better world, transcendence beyond the universe, etc.), how would someone feel? Isn't that a great promise. And what lays beyond this life will always be a mystery so there's no way to know other than having faith in it. This is were religion comes in, providing certainty - a promise of a better afterlife. Interpretation and ways may vary but the goal is similar. It really is hard to understand, I don't understand the blind side of faith, myself. It's the mystery that draws people to it. And I'm sure that the religious don't understand it either. We may never get a good grasp of it but what we can do is accept it as a phenomena, just as the sun rises everyday. That's the best I could offer.
  11. I doubt we'll have flying cars in the future. Maybe homeplanes of some sort. As mentioned, we're already having problem moving on the ground how much more on the 3-dimensional of air travel. If ever come true, though, we're seriously in trouble with getting a license. :lolBut it still is cool to see flying cars in sci-fi movies!
  12. TETRIS! Simple and just like life, you're bound to die. Hahaha. For PC Game, Diablo II. But it says games not computer games so I would say Tagu-Taguan (Hide and Seek) would be the best game there is. Specially if it's played in full moon. And putting the partner twist to it. Each will have its own partner and you'll be tide together during the whole course of the game. And instead of just finding the hiders, the seeker also has to touch the duo (hiders). And when played in full moon, you got to hide. Runner Ups will be: - Top (Kote) - Base - Batin - Kundesi (Siatong or Kundesi)I'm sorry, I don't know the english terms for these games as they are traditional games.
  13. I can only think of a router. A computer can also be configured to act as a node for a communication between two networks, still working like a router. Ohh. There is one. A wireless bridge which works like a communicator between two separate network if set-up properly. Still to define a network, you need to have a local DHCP Server, which could make it a router still.
  14. I remember someone being able to do this when I was working for a tech company. Someone created an HTML file with some JavaScript in it. I'm familiar with JavaScript but he made it in such a way that he created a small chatroom with a log-in to boot! The login information, however, isn't as secure as you can view the passwords by just looking at the source code of the HTML file. I looked at the code but I can't make out any of it. I do understand the HTML behind it. He used Frames and Tables to make the chatroom and the page automatically refreshes after 2 or 3 seconds. After that, he saved the file in the company's NAS (Network Attached Storage). If you want to join the chatroom, just open the file and login to it. It was a simple idea and the file size is barely 200Kb. By the way, the company has restricted non-work-related activities (from accessing social networks to installing instant messengers).
  15. I have MSPaint! I hope there's a contest on making graphics through MS Paint. Hahaha. Or maybe just some drawings. Anyhow. I have PhotoShop CS2. I'm really not good at it, I just like the idea of having it installed on my computer. I'm more of a Picnick user than a PS. I also have Gimp in my Ubuntu boot. That's all I have. I really love to try AutoCAD 'cause you get paid really good if you're adept with it.

    Hi All!

    Hi. Welcome to Xisto.
  17. Ubuntu. And waiting for the complete version of Jolicloud. I love the color. (lame reason!) I use Windows at work, 8-hours a day (plus the overtime 2 hours, at least). After doing it for more than 3 years now, you get to have this feeling that Windows = Work. And who wants to bring their work (windows) at home. So I switched to Ubuntu for relaxation. Now Ubuntu = Rest for me. So, I guess, I love how Ubuntu symbolizes rest. We have different reasons why we love a specific OS. Our choice just works for us.
  18. Wahh.. Still at 141 posts..that's roughly 0.14 posts per day. Been inactive for a really long time.
  19. If I rate my hometown's air quality base on the system you provided, it will be between 10-20. You can still smell the sea breeze and fresh air. There has been an increase in automobile this past 10 years but from maybe 20 cars to 200. It's a small island so if it keep on increasing I might give it 50+ rating.
  20. I remember SpaceJam! I was a little boy when I first saw it. It's an English movie so I didn't really understand what they're saying. All I remember is that Jordan has to play Basketball with the Looney Toons. Then he stretches his arm in the latter part to make the slam dunk.
  21. Hey Baniboy. I love your new template. Way cooler than the old blue one. I would love to see the completed version of the template.
  22. You can try this. You didn't specify the operating system of your computer though. Here's how to do it in Windows XP: 1. Connect your USB HDD to the computer. 2. Right-click on MY COMPUTER > Select MANAGE. 3. Expand the STORAGE > Select DISK MANAGEMENT.4. Look for the entry of your USB Drive. 5. Right click on it > Select CHANGE DRIVE LETTERS AND PATHS.6. Click ADD > Select MOUNT IN THE FOLLOWING NFTS FOLDER. (Browse to the directory where you want to mount the drive. If you don't have a directory, make on.)7. Once completed, remove the Drive Letter which is automatically assigned to the USB Drive. > Click OK. Hope this works for you.
  23. I looked for the exact specifications of your Sony Ericsson W705. And it does have the capability to connect to a wireless network (WLAN). If you want to use this feature of your cellphone, you need to find what we call a HOTSPOT or a WI-FI Area. These are generally available in coffee shops, schools and mall. If you're having a hard time looking for one, try to sniff around for a public place where there are lots of people using their laptop to connect to the internet. Yes. The cellphone that you have has the same feature as their laptops - being able to connect to a wireless network. I'm not familiar with the user interface of your phone but I found this cool tutorial on how to use your cellphone to connect to a Hotspot. You can visit the website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Or you can follow my simplified version of the steps: 1. Activity button > Select Wifi. 2. Press TURN ON. (This will turn on the wifi function of your cellphone and will give you a list of wireless networks.) 3. Select the network you want to use > Click CONNECT. (If you know the exact name of the network that you want to connect to, it's better.) There will be instances wherein you'll be asked for a password/passphrase. This is a security option that has been set up on the network. Unless you have the password/passphrase, you will not be able to connect to it. Ask the rightful owner for the password. Otherwise, look for another wireless network. One of your neighbors may have an unsecured network.
  24. I would recommend checking if the speed is slow when you connect a computer/game console directly to the modem. If it still is slow then the problem is with the modem or ISP. You may then contact your Internet Service Provider. If the Internet works great with the computer/game console connected to the modem, then it's definitely the router. You can just reset the router and connect it back to the modem. If problem persists, flash or update the firmware of your router. You can download the latest version of its firmware on their website. Saint_Michael is right. Routers are hardware firewall so there are some internet ports that it constantly scans or are closed. You can manually forward the ports required for the XBox (53, 80, 88 and 3074) on your router. The better option is making sure that the NAT is open but will definitely open your network to hackers or enabling UPnP on the router. (These options will generally depend on the functions available for your router.) From what I understand, Comcast uses MAC Address to authenticate a connection. So everytime you connect a new device to the modem (computer, router, game console, etc.) you must restart the modem and the device connected to it.
