I like the background. But as they said, the gradient doesn?t look good, maybe with more symmetry. And I think you have too much fonts in there... the one of the title, the buttons, the text and the background. It doesn?t give a global sensation. But I like the color scheme. And I know it?s not a design advice, but I?d also make it more open to non-registered users.6/10 for me

Thanks for reviewing this problem. I didn?t know about it but Norton is a very used antivirus so its good to be aware of those things. If "banner" is, I suppose there are other blocked words, like maybe "popup" or "spyware"...

It?s a fresh design... but why don?t you replace the yahoo icon "Y!" with another of your creation? Now it seems like you are advertising yahoo. -
Run Your Own Mail / Radio Server SHOUTcast and more
Sprnknwn replied to Compute's topic in General Discussion
Thanks a lot for this great (in quality and extension) tutorial. I thought a couple of times about setting an online streaming radio but I hadn?t no idea to do it. I?ll try someday... I hope it can run decently with my computer. By the way, any of you actually have a radio so as we can listen to it? -
It?s a very difficult situation. I suppose you have to be conscious of the good and bad things that every option could bring to you. ?Why don?t just let her know your situation? Tell her that you would start something with her but you don?t want her to be in trouble for your fault. I mean... is her choice more than yours. Anyway she knows what her contract says and if she is giving you "signs"... well, then it seems that she is more interested in you that in her job.

Microsoft Plans Free Anti-Spyware Program
Sprnknwn replied to iGuest's topic in Security issues & Exploits
Someone has to be really crazy to trust in a Microsoft product to deal with spyware. To me it seems like an april?s fool joke but unfortunately I am used to the Bill Gates?special sense of humor. Oh yeah... I think I?ll try it... in my worst enemy?s computer. -
.::halo::. The Movie They are making a movie based on a game
Sprnknwn replied to scab_dog's topic in General Discussion
I?m not very enthusiastic about this... in fact, I?m very skeptic. If you list movies that have been made of a videogame story, you realize that they?re 99% crap. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, House of the Dead, Tomb Raider... ufff. And I don?t think that a good director could do miracles with that. -
I hate those people that only want to disturb other people. But I?m afraid viruses, stupid chains, phising... is something with wich we have to live, the cancers of Internet, I suppose. Anyway we have to be more clever than them... are the FBI supposed to send us an e-mail? Sounds really stupid, if you are doing something delictive and they catch you they?re not going to send you an email or an SMS. For those fakers, go get a job.

Never too late to say that Nirvana rule. They were an awesome band since Bleach till In Utero and it?s very sad that Cobain couldn?t control his own life and died that way... I know he would have composed a lot of great new music. They show the world that you don?t need to be a high-profile musician or have a clean voice to connect with people feelings. I think their success resides in how visceral the band was, even in their more poppy songs they sounded as if they were throwing something out of themselves. Adolescent? Don?t think so, I still recognise myself in some of their lyrics.Nirvana rules and the 90s rule! And every grunge band (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Alice In Chains) have something special.By the way, The Man Who Sold the World is from Bowie.

For me, the funny thing is how much people search that girl in google. Yeah, the spelling errors could be hilarious but I suppose that they come mostly from non-anglophone world. At least, they all write "spears" properly.

It´s not difficult at all. I have one on my site and it´s really easy (even more if you follow that tutorial). You can also find webs that allow you to make a favicon out of an image without using any program (although you cannot optimizate too much),. For example http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/

My Site Is Down I cant get into my ftp
Sprnknwn replied to Glockmeister's topic in Web Hosting Support
I haven?t experienced any problem lately so I don?t think its a hosting problem. Is a new website? I mean... did it work before? Maybe a configuration trouble. -
Probably you did something wrong, like copy-pasting texts from other sites, bad expressions or something like that. It?s normal that some new people start posting without reading the rules, because we all want to get hosted as soon as posible. Wait, try to be correct and don?t worry.

I also prefer PC. Maybe you don?t get the best graphics when a new console cames into the business... but you can always improve your PC so as to play the newest games. You can play strategy games which are very difficult/messing to play in a console, I?m talking about the mouse who lets you make movements faster and with more precission, specially skipping menus and that. The keyboard is another point.Consoles mya be cheap but you are not going to use them as much as a PC... they don?t have so much posibilities.

How Long Has Your Site Been With Trap17? Just a general survey
Sprnknwn replied to choetry's topic in Web Hosting Support
I think I answered this, but a lot months ago. So let me update my opinion. I?m here for a year more or less and I have to say I?m very happy. Although sometimes is hard to write in the forums I only had my account in suspension one time because I had no time to post in a month or something like that (which is absolutely my fault). And fortunately I came in time to reactivate it.At first, I never thought Xisto was so excelent service. It?s very hard to find a free hosting of such quality and so estable. There were only a few minor problems with mysql which it seems is consequence of a bad behaviour of some users and they were solved in very short time.So I just want to say that I?ll stay here as long as Xisto let me. -
What's Your Music Player you current music player device
Sprnknwn replied to hulunes's topic in General Discussion
I use an old mp3 player with very little capacity (only 128 mb) and a mp3 discman, also old and really big. But I have my computer running with music all the time I?m working with it. Oh, and some vintage cassetes in my car. -
It?s very interesting, I?d like to try it... 20% is too much. Just a few questions.Does it works for DSL connections?Does it has any secondary effect... maybe making other tasks slower or something like that? Thanks a lot
-
Well, you shouldn?t be so pessimist about the music scene. There aren?t gonna be another Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or Black Sabbath. But we have to live our era and appreciate artists like The Mars Volta, Tool or Queens of the Stone Age. It?s all a question of search and not agree with every band that great music, tv and radio corporations want to sell us.I assure you that there are lots of great bands making music right now, in every country, in every city... and they?re mostly acting in the underground. You don?t need a lot of teenagers knowing about your existence to be good.

By the way (nothing to do with french riots), ETA hasn?t signed anything or accepted a plan to disarm. Their politic party has said that they?re ready to negotiate to carry the conflict to an exclusively political context. This is like saying all and saying nothing at once. And some people think that they?re talking in secret with the government, but nobody knows.
-
Well, what we?ve got in France is a riot movement that is not good... it?s violent, yes. But is what happens when there are neighbourhoods into poorness. I heard some numbers the other day. France has a 8% of disemployment... and some low-class zones have a 30%. ?What does this means? French people don?t accept sons of inmigrants... and so, to have their rich white zones clean, there are junk neighbourhoods where people that doesn?t fit in their near supremacist ideals are packed. One day they begin to revolt... oh, my god, what a surprise!. It?s beggining to happen in Germany, in Belgium and probably it?ll begin in some other european countries. And has completely nothing to do with terrorism... it seems that every bad thing that happens these days in occident has to be blamed on terrorism.Riots are part of a social problem that I?d like someday will be fixed but I?m afraid this won?t happen.

I also live in Spain and use it for p2p (Soulseek and Azureus mostly but sometimes emule). I?m always listening music in the computer too. Sometimes I play games but it?s not very common (right now I?m very addicted with Civilization 4). Uhm... I send and receive lots of e-mails, post in a lot of forums and read a lot of news. And of course I use it to host and maintain my website here in Xisto and this means posting here too.

Livejournal Or Myspace? Livejournal or Myspace?
Sprnknwn replied to fillrbnny's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I don?t like either of them but it?s alright because I don?t like blogs. Most of them are useless and usually people don?t have interesting things to say. Anyway I have a myspace but I don?t use it except for searching new bands of my taste. -
We Can't Fight This War Alone (-image-)
Sprnknwn replied to Good Grief Graphics's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Absolutely brilliant, the idea and the technique. I love this work.. a bit pessimist but life is tough. And I like the black & white aspect of the image although it?s in colors, but the only different color is the skin one.Great. -
Have you tried with Dreamweaver 4 or another version before MX? I suppose those have to be compatible with Window 98.
