If you are not logged in and are viewing those ads then those ads are kontera ads which are shown to visitors. It can't be removed as site and members both are earning from it. Google ads at the top of forum index is already shown but they hardly annoy as they are getting blocked by ABP. And if you are asking about that dictionary and sharespring widget which turns on with hover and double click on sentence then i guess it can't be replaced.

I don't like shoutbox which require separate login. So if there is any shoutbox that requires us to login separately then better not to install them. One more thing is shoutbox should be personal for site members. Open shoutbox are not god at all. So if any new shoutbox offers member-only shouts,integrates with forum login. Hmm, are you kidding me ? Can you find a host for me at 1.60$ per month for 12 months (with no overselling) ? I don't think so there is any reliable host at that cost. There are tons of host who oversell and have loads of spam sites on shared hosting which is ripped off. CH is transparent and they have their server with psychz.net so it is easy for us to trace the server with psychz. PsYCHZ is also cheap hosting service like CH. So i think either of them is fine and for reliability, you take our words for it. My one site is on xisto(CH paid plan) for 3 years. Less downtime(close to null,only when harddrive change or server transfer time). I have good experience with xisto.

They will not suffer cause those flashing and pop-up ads are sometimes blocked by opera and firefox(if they set pop-up blocker). By any chance if they get into site like the one overrides firefox's blocker setting then in that case they have trouble. What i have seen in internet cafes is, if people are surfing porn and illegal warez type of content then pop-up blockers and ABP is must. Also scrip-block extention is must else there are chances of getting keylogger or dialer installed on system. So that's why most of the internet cafe pc's are infected with virus (unless those cafes are from ISP services like hathway,vodafone where they have their own software that restricts any installation from internet). Ask your friends to install sandboxie, that way they will be protected from any malicious script installation. And they can avoid ABP in this case, let some people earn some bucks as well

I hate popups and flash ads. But i do like other banner ads/text ads as they are the source for my most of the online earnings. That is why i support those banner ads and text ads. But pop-up and flash ads take some resources of your browser so it is better to block them. Some music sites are such annoying that they pass firefox's restriction of op-up blocking. I guess auslogic do it by looking at the data that software is registering with system. But in case of spyware/trojan which infects with other process. Auslogic will not able to find if it is malicious. For example rapidblaster worm which adds app.exe on task manager that attatches with almost any browser you find online. It is not at all detected by any process viewer as malicious. Only spybot/antimalware software detects it (and that too by looking at registry entries and not by process id or something). Antivirus program are more likely to find it out depends which we are using. How can they find malicious process if any trojan and spyware attatches to any available current process ? I doubt any small utility can analyze this much difference from running processes.

I already answered it, that there is not known task manager Utility for linux with such functionality. I guess rvalkass and truefusion can confirm it for me. I simply didn't found any such utility. If he's having antispyware/malware utility then he'll find a way to avoid such process by running their scanner.Scanner will catch such proceses and will remove such services. For malware detection as he wants for monitoring services. There is not any known utility for windows (other than antivirus/spyware)that watches running process and filters it if harmful (APV and process explorer & Process tamer only keep eye on process which are taking more resources but they don't keep eye on process which are infected by virus or trojans). So what he wants is "utility to check process which are harmful". I doubt this utility is available for both windows and linux.

I have to agree with you on this. Kaspersky is not lightweight. and also we require to set it's no dialog confirmation. As it pops up when updated and when it wants something to be done(even if there is nothing like virus it catches,it gives popup). It is also bit strict about expired certificate sites. AVG WOT plugin was good than this. I found that NOD32 and AVG are lightweight and worth to install on system. NOD32 is low on system resource and also catches virus silently without too much annoying the user. If not NOD32 then i'll pick either AVG, mcafee or kaspersky. I heard that there are some good free antivirus as well. Like clamwin and superantivirus. You can try them as well. Also don't forget to install spybot search & destroy and malware bytes search & destroy.
