I failed to understand that part but afterall these years, i have churning the meaning of this statement and going nowhere. I don't know what was the intention behind that statement. Still trying to figure out what it was.

Sites like google and yahoo have brand name associated with their name. I'm not sure about the self hosted domains or registrar based domains. But i think if you go with whois info. Most of the top-500 online business have their domain sticked with their business. So there is no chance any random person can stand up and buy it. Even if any site comes up and mimic the brand name then these sites have lawyers to defend their business. I remember the "worldsex" domain defended themselves. There are many cases where microsoft defended themselves when anyone tried to use their trademark name with mixing it with another domain name. It's obvious that sites do defend themselves in such cases. If you want to fight for your brand on global level better take trademark of your name.

Follow the steps below to change your NameServer details: 1) Login to Xistosuppport Billing area here. 2) Click on My Domains tab at the top navigation bar. 3) You'll be redirected to My Domains page where you'll see nameserver details. 4) If the lock on domain is not set, then you can edit the nameserve details here. 5) After entering the nameserver details, Click save changes. 6) It takes some time to update nameserver, so you have to wait for few hours to let results take effect.

I'm on similar lines that of truefusion. Django is good framework and many people used it and some really hated it. I tried it once while i was trying yaml and some other frameworks. So after some time i give up on this framework. yaml is also good framework and if you're using google app engine then either django or yaml is all you need to know. I gave up with app engine after trying python and java wrappers. So i don't think i'm going to use django anytime soon.You can ask this question on stackoverflow if you want to get the idea of framework and people's opinion who are using it.

It is possible to do that for your website. Yahoo has list of small widgets which lets you put radio station widget on web pages. You can check this page for more information. On this page you can create radio widgets and put on your website. Another alternative is to use last.fm playlist widget which plays songs as well. If the radio broadcasting is not available then it is better to use last.fm widget. I think you should embed the last.fm with the songs from the site. Don't expect last.fm to have asian(bollywood) songs in playlist. In that case it's better to stream from some another site.

Which windows programs you want to run on mac ? You can run whole windows operating system inside mac using paralles or vmware fusion. Besides that most of the softwares like adobe & some other software brands do have products for mac. Games are also supported for both mac and windows at the same time. So which program you think are not supported on mac ? Let me know these programs, i'll see if i can get up alternative or some way to use them on macintosh.

I doubt that lockerz will remain free or points based till you reach that points amount. I'm damn sure that lockerz will be offer based site soon. It's just that they're going to reap it soon. I also switched my service provider many times. Be it internet service provider or mobile phone. I think i changed to vodafone, airtel, at&t and then spice. Too much i know sometimes but it was because of bad customer service from them. Also in india i have found out that some providers auto download some ringtones to your handsets and then charge for it. If not ringtones then they charge you for GPRS out of nothing. I think these are money making schemes than system failure.

And you'll find sky.fm or di.fm on shoutcast as well. There are many dedicated players for this. Like screamer radio which got collection of radio stations sorted as per genre and ability to record the song as well. It also chops the song if they are played one by one from station. You can check radio sure software which is like screamer radio but with more functionality. Winamp is good for recording but if you want to browse through the radio stations then radiosure and screamer radio are two options. Also if you have shoutcast DSP plugin+account to site myfreeradio. Then you can host your own radio channel. That just clicked on my brain. Why not have our own Xisto radio channel hosted on site like myfreeradio ? Any takers for this idea ?

I do like sky.fm but only when my paypal is in good shape . Otherwise back to di.fm lol. Sad thing is we don't have access to pandora and spotify here in asia. I guess spotify will take some time to reach to asia. I didn't like the buffering of song on demand type of spotify but i heard that they have some music station. and that is what i want in from them.

Knowledge base is perfect solution when you encounter some problem and want to solve it by looking up to some FAQ. Now that knowledgebase can solve this problem even for experienced people. I used it whenever i forget about nameserver and some other details. I even link to the pages of knowledgebase when some newbie asks similar question. Besides that if knowledgebase is filled with typical question from forums. Then we can easily link to it while discussing about it on forum or shoutbox(i know shoutbox linking is not allowed but atleast we can ask people to go over knowledgebase). Solving the same old problems and tons of duplicate thread with same question twisted for the sake of mycent is just filling the forum with repeated content and it gives no benefit. If knowledgebase is added with some content then i think lot of work is done. Besides opening thread about google apps setup is beneficial or worthy to all members ? I mean we answered such queries many times, it's time to make it like FAQ. There are pleny of topic which are repeated and many people here will hardly reply if people just changed the title and asked the same question.So that qualifies for FAQ or knowledgebase.

I listen to digitally imported radio for trance and electronica,euro dance music. I like the quality of DI.FM and sky.FM. Both these channels are excellent and you can even record the radio shows or songs. It is free and i don't think there is any legal trap in it. Other than di.fm i listen to some developer podcasts on artima and some other sites. I have compiled a list of podcasts for programmers. If you want to listen to that, just do check this thread. Other than trance music and developer podcasts. I listen to some of the blog podcasts as well. Point of enquiry podcasts are always worth to listen. You can food for thought. If you like listening to skeptical, and various perspective then point of enquiry is something that you'll like.

They both have different set of usage. Unless you use JSP/Servlets you'll not able to see Javascript working with java. And for desktop based application rarely have chance to be with javascript. Just similar names, i guess when netscape was working on this java applets were ruling the market. So it is possible that they pick the name from java for their script. Javascript is easy to learn if you're into web development already else both languages have their own learning curve in my opinion. It's just that we can learn javascript fairly quickly but for java we need some time by correcting some errors and knowing some OOP concepts.

Yes, it also checks word and excel files as there are some viruses written for it. If you try it with another antivirus even they'll check before opening your word/excel files. I use NOD32 these days on laptop and even it takes second to flash this message at the bottom of the word. It says " scanning for viruses" and then goes away then word get's it's resource back and loads the document. Check it with other antiviruses as well, the time it takes to open will vary but they'll flash in the bottom toolbar. And the document will open only after it is completed scanning.

Two things i always follow these days. Never do any modification to your site at night and on weekends. Don't order anything while you're feeling sleepy. . I'm saying this cause last weekend i wanted to make modifications to CNAME details. And i made modification to NAMESERVERS. So such mistakes happen and i guess after simpleton, you're the second one.Post the support ticket to Xisto - Support and they'll solve your problem. Your mycents will be deducted for this though. Sorry it needs to be deducted be it mistake or not, it should be deducted.
