Is there any screencast available for joomla based site building ? I am looking for those. As i can't explain it to my friend on instant messenger. So watching video will definitely help her. Anyone have any idea about good videos related to joomla site and community building ?

Two things to look at this. First infolinks or tribal fusion may or may not allow revenue sharing module program. And i doubt these advertisers will allow any new site without checking. So moving from paying ad network to something new has risk as Xisto already have paying advertisers on their hand. Second there is multiple advertiser module in our revenue sharing model(i guess yahoo ads module is there correct me if i'm wrong), so other than infolinks/tribal fusion we can other networks for revenue sharing on Xisto. Not sure about this but in my opinion let kontera stay here on Xisto as it's paying to xisto. But members should note that what kontera is and what to do with it. If they get it working for themselves then that's fine. But No need to change ad network here on Xisto. I'm not surprised with kontera support. I sent email on monday and yet to get email reply from them. It's more than 3 days i guess. Anyway, i doubt they will even reply with my earning as it's very low. and who knows how much they cut down behind the scene.

What you think made me to create this thread ? . I have gone through those blogs and opinion before creating this thread. Only thing that satisfied me here is opaque's answer that Kontera working for Xisto and asta. So that's why i don't mind it here. :-) Otherwise this thread is call for those who are only on kontera enabled on their sites. *run for ya lives*. It's hard to make money from it. And that's why i suggested infolinks and tribal fusion for those publishers. And regardless of how some flash ad looks with tribal fusion or infolinks, payment is very good. So better try it instead of wasting time on kontera. Kontera is NOT at all suitable for those with low traffic sites. Besides their reason of not keeping Money Counter on publisher account is not satisfactory answer at all.

But as Macintosh is UNIX based i guess it is possible to make it server (not pointing to those hardware but OS). As OSX and opendarwin are based on MACHBSD kernel. So chances are it will run on server.

Lol, why so ? don't look at mylot as cash earning resource. if you look that way you'll get bored like facebook and orkut. think of it as sharing information hub. that way you'll enjoy it more. Mylot is good cause we less socialize and more answer question without knowing the person and our answer becomes more professional unlike facebook/orkut where we hold back cause of relation we establish on them. anyway, Search based social networks are completely waste though.

It was there is in Old urchin, but when they moved to new analytics software i guess that feature was not visible[?]. I'm not sure where that feature is enabled in current analytics version before they released this update. I was intrigued with these features:-1)Mobile Reporting2) Custom alerts.These features were not already there in the analytics.

If you are Google analytics user then you'll receive this message in your analytics account. They added new feature in analytics. Still i'm unsure about google analytics allowing real time stats for the website. Woopra and Mint still ahead despite of these features. Here is the email that you'll get in mailbox. Hannah, you can login to blogger using google ID. Then register blog, choose good design for it. Also to post code you need to edit layout>HTML edit. That way you can add code to those sites.

In that case you know that ubuntu is debian based. Even knoppix, simplymepis distros which are always preferred over ubuntu for rescue disk and portable linux usage are also debain based.

Don't go for alexa rank or PR as pointer for the site. For first alexa rank favors US traffic. so chances are there are many sites that have good alexa ranking cause of US traffic but not usable for rest of the world. Like spotify, which is high traffic site for US but useless for Asia and pacific users.Scour is complete fail and they failed to give their members their money or goodies they promised. they just got social searches data and they sold out and earned profit and now they shut the program now. there is no way people will trust scour now.

Shadowx, i found a way out of this. If people can install windows on virtalbox and run the toolbar from the virtual machine then many viruses and spywares can be prevented. Like if Vmware player is used then changes will not be saved as well, so that way we can help not get our disk into some risk of spyware or adware.

Use blogger blogs to have site. add some content then apply for ad networks.

I doubt we'll be credited for the post in downtimes as there was hardrive update. But perhaps opaque can solve this one as well and hopefully we'll get credited.

If flash is not on user computer then chances are there that those ads will not be displayed. Besides when it comes to money nothing is annoying except No-reports or No-cash earned counter. Even google adsense has flash based ads isn't it ? How many people noticed that ?If flash ads pays higher what's wrong with it. Savvy users already have adblock plus so there is no way that any ad will annoy them. So only newbies are at this end who will see those ads (be it any ad network).I don't think there is any setting for it to turn off flash ads. If your site has high paying keyword then flash based ads which are at high bid will be picked by system. For low paying keyword, you'll get some image+text or text link+content inside that box.

It is only available for users in US/UK and canada. So hands down for the offer. Anyway, residents of US/UK/Canada can definitely benefit from such offers.

No,it also loads similar to kontera. The difference is it loads faster than kontera (this doesn't mean it loads with the site, ads are on demand in both cases be it kontera or infolinks or tribal fusion). So it will not make site slower in any case with any ad-network. But kontera is annoying as it picks mouseover instantly and starts to show ads (too sensitive kontera links and they pay very low as well). Also not all infolinks ads are flash ads. Higher paying ads are flash ads. For normal text link ads which are lower in amount are simply shows some picture or some link with text. That's the advantage with infolinks and tribal fusion. They show your earning daily and all time in report. You can even set it for whole year or since last payout. So no issues with 6 months data.

Just curious, can't you add ads on templates without modules ? i mean there are many drupal blogs for which it is hard to have yahoo ads module or say doubleclick or cpxinteractive module. so without those modules ads can't be inserted ? i doubt that.anway, i have less experience with drupal sites so you know it better. almost same. but infolinks ads loads fast and looks good. Note: Infolinks ads look just like tribal fusion text-hover ads. I think infolinks copied their design . But if you note loading time of infolinks/tribal fusion ads then it is much better than kontera. Clicking and CPC model is also same for both.

Haha. I pretend to have a good topics while talking on phone or IM. But some trappers and my online friends know that i'm not good topic initiator. But if they ask for help i think i can have some good conversation with them. and i do prefer having some chat with them. But even most of trapper who chat with me on IM will agree that i talk less most of time.

I already moved to another company which is much profitable for my site atleast. It is infolinks. try using it if you have some content on your site. for me it gives 20 cents in 2-4 days. as i have moderate traffic. so i think it is good option over kontera. i am not sure that if it is available like kontera to replace here on this forum as revenue sharing mod. So i think we need to see if they allow something like this. there is also tribal fusion which offers similar service but it requires lot of traffic to get it accepted. kontera and infolinks accepts any publisher so that is the current option we have.

Nice you improved a lot. I don't know why you choose dark theme as very few people choose it for static/cms sites in technology niche. Header menu is working just fine. Left had sidebar is dark so add red or dark red hover color to it. Try this color (#ca1717). If it's suits your dark sidebar with red hover then i think it will look good. I overlooked that hot links in sidebar, rename it as blog roll or friends site etc. So that it doesn't look like link selling. Rest of the changes are just fine in my opinion. You even did well with that darkish theme a bit.

I think they are not disclosing it cause they want to duck publisher and want to modify reports as per their will. If adsense, doubleclick, yahoo and many other ad networks show counter for even minute earning as 0.001. so why they think that publisher are not interested ? i think they are hiding info as they don't want us to know the earning so that we'll not opt for payout immediately after viewing 100$ in account. i mean kontera seems to have disturbing financial condition. to hide it and to prevent publishers from instant payout they did this perhaps. i don't see any logical defense from their side for this.

Are you kidding me ? . I don't want to lose out whatever i have earned so far. Already they have masked the earning. I don't know the reason why huge company like this failed to create a counter for publisher earnings.

Yes, manyhosts do use debian. Dreamhost hosting company hosts sites and shared hosting packages on debian server. I think even xisto will allow you to use debian for mini VPS or dedicated. If you heard about ubuntu then you know that it is also based on debian kernel. @hannah, i have never heard people using macs for server. but now that Macs are using UNIX. So no doubt they will be used in future.

Once your site is accepted you'll able to add ads. I think you need to have some content before you get published. On that google site there was no content,so i doubt you'll get accepted. I suggest you writing few pages and filling up site pages with widgets and content. After adding content and getting some traffic i'm sure you'll get accepted by them.
