  1. I've not been sleeping much lately, maybe 4 hours, though I've been trying to take some sort of a nap on weekends. My bf is in sidney, and I'm in the us so there's like a 15 hour time difference, making it really late here by the time we talk. But I'll suffer. lol
  2. Bexa that's really cool! Pixel drawing is haaard and wicked time consuming, but I think your pic turned out great!
  3. I really like that last brown one that you're using for your sig right now. It's very grungy and the text works very well there
  4. Seems to me, some people like to use sex as a tool for a power-play, either to keep someone around or just to see if they can conquer the situation. I believe sex should be about love - not to have to prove it or to hold onto it - but a physical manifestation of the completeness you feel in someone emotionally. Like Kirralouise said, fear can be a powerful motivator if sex is introduced wrongly. It sort of reminds me of 1 John 4:18..."There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love."
  5. I am in love! His name is Adam and he is very much in love with me, which every day reminds me that miracles can happen. I'd thought before I was too broken, too wounded to ever find happiness like this, but since I met him, my whole world has changed. It's a good thing.
  6. I love to sing, though I don't much know the technical side of it. (like how to actually *read* a piece of sheet music) In high school I was on the instruction team - I took groups of 50, guys and girls, and worked with them on learning new pieces (diction, breathing, counting, notes). Though I can't read it, I only have to hear the music once and I've got it. I used to travel all over the state singing for events and contests, but not recently. Now I just sing for church.
  7. Oye yes William Hung. Does he even get that people just make fun of him? I heard he's like releasing several albums or something. My sister says he's able to sing on key now. But still it's just too sad I think
  8. hm I really thought IE is way slower than firefox. Though on the otherhand my IE gets nailed with spyware all the time, forcing it to run slower because it gets hijacked at times. So maybe it's not IE's fault, just the spyware. I still like firefox a whole lot better
  9. I guess even sisters have to take vacations sometimes
  10. I think maybe a hint of a blue tint might be neat. But I like it
  11. Ya, they interviewed people on the set watching the "movie" being made. Everybody there was, of course, a Star Trek fan. Er I guess they could have just been from the town, but everybody I talked to was all weeee it's captain kirk!! All the interviews I saw were about how exciting it was to meet him and how unusual the california people are compared to us (course they were all acting over the top anyway). In reply to Bexa, I sorta had a feeling we'd be on tv that day. Don't know how, just sorta suspected, so I wore sparkly earrings.
  12. I had my puter built by a friend. It's pretty (lol) and only has the stuff on it I really need. I think I may soon be in need of a new monitor however, it keeps blinking wierd
  13. I'd always rather go organic than not. I agree, homegrown tomatoes are always much better than those watery store bought ones. *gag* Oh and something else this topic reminded me of, buying eggs from free-range chickens instead of the ones they keep in cages all the time. I don't know if they taste any different, some people swear by em, but I think it's important to support chicken freedom! no, really lol
  14. to stylize a piece that can benefit from it, I think black and white can be a very effective tool to create mood (which can ultimately become an unspoken character). just because you have the technology for color, doesn't mean other visual filters should be ignored. Playing with shadows and negative space can be very interesting, if the story warrents.
  15. good to have you onboard, no9t9! I personally have never experienced any downtime. Sometimes, like the other day, they did updates to the forums and stuff (this place is always evolving). It's true, they do offer more than paid hosts, and we've got some great people in the forums if you ever need assistance with anything. The important part here is to remember to keep posting. Cheers and welcome
  16. In Kevin Smith's films, Silent Bob usually has one line that he says right. (for example, in Dogma he says, "No ticket.") What was that one line he says in Mallrats? I just can't remember!
  17. I live in Iowa and I can't believe Bush won Iowa. No president has won Iowa in the last 20 years. Or is it no republican... In any event it was verrrrry unlikely he was going to win, but I guess he did.
  18. I've heard it said that voting for a third-party candidate is throwing your vote away. (I think it was on the Simpsons). But if you have conviction to vote for that particular candidate, I say go for it. They won't win, but at least you personally will be heard, sort of. btw, what ever happened to Ross Perot?
  19. I said firefox because that's what I'm using right now. Feels and looks sleek, faster than IE. I have issues with flash on this one, but I still trust it more than netscape. Netscape for me is just for viewing, not for forms or anything.
  20. I am a Christian; I do pray; and I do believe it is worth my time. When I pray, it isn't anything fancy and no one forces me to do it. It is just time spent with my Creator and Savior and I think it's crazefully cool that I have the ability to do that. I believe prayer is a form of worship, and it keeps me connected with God. It forces me to stop thinking of myself and focus on what His will for my life is, because in and of myself I am nothing and can accomplish nothing on my own. It is only by grace that I am saved and have a friend in Jesus Christ.
  21. Here ya go, Zenchi. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/1050-who-is-the-hottest-girl-in-the-world-hottest-girl-ever/ Your science teacher was in love with Brad Pitt, Clouds? Hehe I bet that was great fun in class! Did she use him as an example, like scientifically he's got the perfect face? lol And of course my list, also Orlando Bloom (so pretty), Hugh Jackman (enough charisma than I can deal with), Johnny Depp (he's dark *g*)
  22. that guy for the Chilis ad where his wife says from the other room "clear or red" and he runs to the kitchen pulling off his tie and he realizes she's talking about tupperware (what they're eating for dinner) instead of what she's wearing. Oh or the viagra ones where the guy grows devil horns and runs into the laungerie shop and the voiceover says something like "what ever happened to that guy that was called 'the beast' in college. he spent all of your honeymoon in bed." Blah I'm so sick of those kinds of ads
  23. I don't think eTronicGaming is saying it's odd that people are Christians, I think he's saying it's odd no one has posted in the US forum yet. And I'm a Christian from Iowa.
  24. It's far from self-absorbed when the reality is that you're hurting. You've taken a good first step, reaching out to *somebody* even if they are strangers on a messageboard. (We won't be strangers for long ) Sometimes internalized pain can become too much to bare so it can be communicated as an outward response, like cutting, dieting, etc. The physical pain takes focus away from the emotional pain because it's more tangable. It's a coping mechanism which sometimes provides momentary relief, or sometimes none at all. What you need right now is a stable base of support. If you can't talk about it to people in real life, find someone online to confide in. If that ex isn't providing that sort of stability (like creating more drama than you want), he needs to understand he can be a friend by just backing off. It's okay to take some time off from that whole scene to just breathe and work on trying to make yourself feel better. It's not selfish, it's survival. :)I'm not telling you all this because I think I give good advice, I'm only speaking from my own personal experience. You can do whatever you want, but just know you're not alone out there. *hugs*PM me if you want, I'll be praying for you
  25. "Ever" is hard. Hmm I guess I'll have to go with Pink Floyd. Er maybe The Doors. Er Our Lady Peace.
