  1. I went to go see this movie yesterday and really liked it. My dad fell asleep during it though and when he woke up he said real loud, "this thing is a snooze! when's it over?!" was sort of embarassing but people behind us laughed. Turns out we had an hour left at least!
  2. oh ya ya Twix definately. I think the goo in there is caramel. I like to try to take apart the layers and eat em one at a time. I've never even heard of Chuppa Chups before though. I take it they're chocolate? Doesn't sound like an appealing name, whatever it is
  3. I just got back from Limony Snicket. I thought it was really good (though sort of long in parts). I think it really would have helped if I had read the books before I went to go see it. Jim Carry was great in that his character was wickedly frustrating (just so eeeevil that Count Olaf is!!) Anyway I would recommend seeing it for nothing else than the visual stylization of the piece
  4. Oh ya, looooove Zelda! I think I liked Ocarina better than Majora's Mask (even though it was less complicated) just because Link got the ability to grow up! The music on both of those is soooo great. Amazing they have soundtracks for those! That most recent Zelda they have out right now, I'm not much a fan of though. Just looks and feels totally different.
  5. hmm well what do ya know! This show is on reruns all the time on PBS and is somehow always on whenever I can't find a single thing to watch on TV! I still don't get it... But maybe a movie will make more sense since they'll have to explain it to people like me LOL
  6. I'm going to agree with spawn. Generalization, not reading minds. Prolly thought if you're coming to the front (and looking at your age) you must be having probs with school. Sounds to me like the guest speaker was going the 'slain in the spirit' thing which I dunno, this is just me talking, isn't meant to be taken litterally so far as to push people onto the ground.
  7. I love beccas avatar right now! You've got quite a talent there (and patience whoh)
  8. oh I like how that website is put together, the animation is super-cool! Too bad I'm on dialup so it takes everything super-long to load doh!
  9. Thanks for the premise there Becca! Always knew Jim Carrey could have an eeeevil streak. And in any story the search for "moah moneys" I think it's psycologically, subcosciously, something a whole lot of people can relate to.
  10. I thought 'Lemony Snicket' was just a thing my sister would walk around the house saying to annoy me. Turns out it's a book reference. lol I saw the preview for this movie in the theater the other day. The stylization looks incredible. I'm not one for children's movies, err rather movies based on children's books, but I think I'm going to have to go see this movie. I keep having dreams about it. freaky

    Pigeons

I guess we don't really have pigeons around here. I think they're more city-dwelling creatures and all we have around here is farms in hickville. I guess I can see how they could be annoying, how you described them, but if Burt on Sesame Street loves em so much, they can't be all bad, can they?
  12. hmm that IS odd. Maybe she liked the sort of 'fantasy' that surrounds online encounters and the real life meeting was TOO real, if you know what I mean. I'd say, just give her some time and some space, and hopefully you'll be chatting it up again soon
  13. (I found this on MSN today and thought it was too funny because it's true!! Had to share )# Garbage in, garbage out: If you keep telling yourself romantic myths about a prince on a white horse saving you, and that love conquers all? living on clich?s, you'll never find love. No one's perfect. No relationship is a fairy tale. While gay relationships may contain two fairy tails ? neither one of them is perfect! Well, maybe some.# WYSIWYG: If your date is almost Mr. Right ? almost the perfect guy for you, if he would just floss and upgrade his hairstyle, then get a new boyfriend ? get over it! Some times it's easier to buy a new system than upgrade it. It just won't happen. After all, ?What You See Is What You Get.?# Too much input: Dating six people at once. It isn't fair to anyone! How can you integrate all the data and process all the information (about your feelings) if you're running six programs at once? In this case, you're bound to have system errors and hard-drive crashes. No one likes it when their hard drive crashes!# 56.6 Baud vs. 14.4 Baud: If your date moves too fast (falls in love overnight) while you're still trying to make a connection, you're operating on different bandwidths. Be careful: He may be connecting with multiple service providers!# Pentium 5 vs. Pentium 1: If a date is stuck with an outdated operating system (lives in the past, dresses in clothes that were current pre-Vietnam), you two may be incompatible. Your date may be stuck in a Pentium 1 lifestyle while you're in a Pentium 5 world. Be leery ? slower operating systems are outdated. Two men with different bandwidths will only connect sporadically.# Power Switch: Make sure a boyfriend knows which button turns you on. If he can't locate it, love may never boot up. Since neither of you comes with instruction manuals, don't mute your feelings. Of course, if he knows how to turn you on, he'll also be able to turn you off!# Program compatibility: Sometimes, later editions of the same program can operate earlier versions, but the transverse in not true. Hopefully you'll have enough commonalities to make love work.# Outdated Processor: If you want love ? but he sees sex as fun and games ? you're wired differently. That's like trying to get a Pentium processor to run a Mac program. Not going to happen!# Mac vs. PC: Macs are more artistic. PCs are more business-oriented. These systems are not compatible; word processing works on both, but other applications do not!# Intranet vs. Internet: If you're a man with a limited, selective friendship base while he has a World Wide Web of friends, you may be speaking different languages.# Secure Servers vs. Public Domains: Some men have a discretionary network of friends. They may put firewalls up or keep their binary info secure. Others send out cookies to newsgroups. Can these two types really find connectivity? Dubious!# Browsers: Some men are just browsers in the World Wide Web of love. They sign on, search, and visit many URLs. But they forget the passwords that open the ports of a man's heart. Be aware of these browsers.# Pop-ups and Spammers: Some men lurk in popular places hoping to be noticed, while others send out indiscriminate emails and IMs to every man alive. They're spammers. Watch out for deceitful men like this. They're liable to be infected with a Trojan horse and could cause your system to crash!
  14. And 'ladies' I don't usually get much sleep anyway. If not gaming, I'd spend the time writing (and sometimes it's good to get away from writing, do something mindless, so that when you go back the words are fresh again)
  15. I love your sig, btw rovertos!I think I can say I'm a gamer, but I don't let it consume my whole existance. It's true, once I start in on a game, I can play easily for 3 hours without noticing where the time has gone! But that happens very rarely cuz I'm so bloody busy. Mostly, like somebody already said, it's just somethin to do at like 2am when there's nothin else that needs to get done.
  16. boy howdy that took forever to load on dialup anyway, I'm guessin ya she's gotta be somebody to have so many screen caps, enough to make a long avatar
  17. I like it, bexa. Looks like clipart especially the apple - good shading on that one!
  18. I remember AFV with Bob because they have it on every night in reruns for an hour. I can't stand the bloody show. Not just because of the bad hair or fuzzy video clips, but I find it very hard to believe we ever thought his jokes were funny.
  19. I'm using FTP Surfer and I like it a lot. Got it from download.com I think
  20. I'm wondering how they're going to keep those sandwiches from going green. Like the fluff packaging outside is going to help...?I saw on ebay once they had a lollypop Orlando Bloom had sucked on. Someone had taken a pic of him doing it, then they actually had the sucker too. Like they were just laying in wait for him to put it down off set.... Sorta nuts
  21. Well that was reeeally, verrrrry disturbing :(Reminds me of that Simpsons ep where Homer finds a pic of himself on a box of detergent, that Mr. Sparkle stuff.Ohhh dear... I'm going to have to go watch it again. LOL
  22. Looks like we got a Depp fan in the house 1. Lord of the Rings - TTT 2. Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Underworld 4. X-Men 5. Sleepy Hollow
  23. God bless you for wanting to join the Army Rangers after highschool! I totally agree with you, it doesn't matter what you think of the politics surrounding it or how we got into this war, we should support our troops no matter what. They're fighting and dying for us and people who don't even *live* in the US. Overseas or at home, these men and women have my utmost respect.
