  1. what i like to do right before summer is shave my dog down to the skin. not only will that get rid if the fur problem for a few months, it gets hot and your dog will love ya for it. the only problem is, for the first month or so, your dog will not look too pretty :)it's a give and take thing, but that's what i personally like to do. also, all my dogs liked to swim in the pool and sheepdog is right. it creates a denser matt and by just shaving your dog, you wont have to worry about combing through that crap.this year was strange for my dog because i could spend 15 minutes combing through the hair and STILL have hair that comes up.
  2. don't be adding me to your list of friends. i don't know you and you have made no posts here. i deleted you once, now i'm doing it again. don't add me again. you're a freak adding all those people you don't even know...

  3. try making the picture a little larger so we can see the bird
  4. well good for him. i am glad when people can stand out to get noticed. usually it takes something as extreme as he did for people to actually realize things. sounds like he had it planned by calling the media. i am sure it will get more coverage and he'll get soem interviews out of this.as far as him not getting the attention he wanted because law enforcement was quick on the scene, i doubt that is the case. he came down on his own free will. he wasn't dragged down. this was his plan and part of his plan was knowing when it was time to come down. i think he succeeded in his cause for now.as far as getting arrested, there may be some fines or even small jail time involved, but i think it's worth it. people are lazy in this world to see what is going on around them. they are too preoccupied in their own life to even notice anything or care about anything other than their own life.too bad he was alone in this crusade. i think it would have held a bigger impact if he had a few more people up there with him.as far as his sentencing and what the judge will see? he wasn't endagering anyone but himself. the judge doesn't make the laws, he just interpets them so my bet is he'll get the minimum fine as long as this guy doesn't create a specticle of himself in the courtroom and promises not to do it again and if he has not been known to do things in the past. to sentence him to anything but the minimum required by law will make the judge look bad like he doesn't care at all about the children from disruptive or broken homes.plus, whatever the punishment can't even be considered a punishment if somehow what he did helps other children.....
  5. rechargable batteries are definately the way to go for now, but all you're really doing is substituting one energy source for the other or just transfering energy. i doubt rechargable batteries will ever come that far down in price or the manufacturers would be losing tons of money.i remember a VERY long time ago, there was a tire company(i forget which one) came out with some special tire which was supposed to last the duration of the car's lifetime. it sure did do it's job and there was a lot of demand for this tire too(i forget what this tire was called too....it's been so long). well eventually the tire company had to stop manufacturing and promoting this tire because it was causing them to lose money.i can't wait til solar power becomes common place. it will cost more in the short run, but well worth it in the long run. as indego had said, any excess power, you can sell it back to the power company so instead of them charging you, you are charging them. probably at a heavily discounted rate, but you are effectively earning your money back from that power source.windmills is nothing new. i being originally from california was about 2 hours drive from a place called palm spring. 30 years ago they started building windmills in the desert on the outskirts of that town. you can't drive through there today without seeing hundreds of windmills and that town gets most of their energy from that power source. it's ugly as heck though. i'm in missouri now and there is so much land here to put windmills without it being too noticable or taking away from too much of the nature that surrounds the land with a farmer(land owner)/consumer co-op(joint venture), it would be easy to pull something like this off where everyone who buys in would have a share
  6. i am not really a rice fanatic, but i do love rice when i prepare it, it's just plain old white rice. i guess you can say that when i am making it, i both boil it and steam it. obviously steaming it will be the last phase. now normally, i would just make plain rice and eat it plain. sometimes i will just put soysauce on it, but usually what i like to do is cook rice when i am also cooking meat. either steak or brats. the brats are great because it releases juices and oils that compliment the rice well. that along with the flavor of garlic that i add while preparing my brats, leaves a great topper for my rice. very flavorful, but greasy and unhealthy it's like using bacon grease on the skillet or pan before cooking your eggs to add to the flavor.i am not a big fan of brown rice, but i do like spanish rice. white rice is my favorite though as long as i can add a little sauce and flavor to it that i can get from cooking my meatwhat kind of white rice would i buy? the cheapest kind. like i said, i am not a fanatic about rice so the cheap stuff does just fine. it's how you prepare it that will determine if it's good or not :)the only drawback to using my oils from my meats to add to the rice is that i like my meat well done, so during the last phase of cooking the meat is the most crucial where i have to not only pay attention to the liquid not being absorbed by the meat, but having the liquid not harden on the pan before i am able to pour it on the rice. at the same time, i like that semi burnt flavor in the liquid so it's a little bit of an art during the last phase of cooking the meat. how high the tempature is during that time along with how much more time before it's ready.the way i prefer my rice is a LITTLE sticky, but not mushy. i hate mushy rice and i hate dry rice. once a rice particle can stick to another or stick to your finger, then it is ready. for first timers, it can be a little tricky to cook. also obviously i cook it closed pot since i like the steam to do the rest of the cooking for me.
  7. if it's an original translation, yes. what i mean by original is that all sentences have to be original. also, when translating, make sure english is spelled properly and the grammar is good. if a moderator or admin happens to find your translation or even part of it as duplicate, you will get a warning, and if caught doing it repeatedly, your account will be suspended.if you are unsure if it has or hasn't been translated yet, run the article through copyscape before posting it.now if it's not an original translation, you can still post it, you would just have to use the quote tags and credit the author or source(usually good common practice)
  8. what you will need is a domain which is about $13 a year, and hosting which is about $24 a year. to start, you would need 1 domain and our cheapest hosting package which will run you around $15. after that, you will need $2 a month to keep up your hosting. congrats on getting your account linked. now all you have to do is wait for the mycents script to run. it runs once every 3 days or so. so just wait a couple days and you can view your profile to see how much you are being credited. you should also recieve a mail from xisto to see how much you have made each time the script runs.
  9. well i don't see it as a break down of a democracy here as there haven't been any initiates yet to consult on or to vote on. right now, if i am reading things cleary, there is a committee for both side laying down the groundwork and platform to start initiating the required changes before they bring it before our congress and your parliament. in a democracy, a president or prime minister can't act alone to initiate changes. it has to go through the proper channels eventually or it would be deemed illegal. i seriously doubt this is what is happening because it is still in the very beginning stages and talks have just begun. no changes, no nothing. just talks.i see that your worst fear is the breakdown of democracy, but in my opinion, that would be the least of your worries since i doubt that would ever happen. like i said, democracy does have it's downfalls, and part of the downfall is the ability to take away the sovereignty of the people over time who live in that political systemthe reason there is no support in canada for the rcc from it's citizens is because there isn't any information out there to support. in fact, there isn't even enough information to protest about it. same here in the u.s.. i am sure over time, everyone will have their wish and they can either be in support of it or against it after sufficient information is released to the public.again, i think that to implement a plan like this, there has to be a little sensitivity involved here. i've already covered a couple of the sensitive issues in regards to big business and national security threats. would you rather accept those threats just so you can know what is going on now rather than later?there is a reason this hasn't been on the news. it's not news worthy yet. i've tried to find some links of my own but can't find any information on this thing other than what i have already found through the links you gave. it's just not news worthy. the media isn't covering anything up. like i said, i heard about this on the news(i don't remember when). there is nothing to report. do you see the news talking about how democracy on both side are being ignored? no......why? because it isn't happening. if it was, wouldn't that be news worthy? you'd be hearing a lot about it, right? yea, the government has some control over public media, but if there was any serious issues with the breakdown of democracies or our political systems, there would be absolutely no way to keep that under wraps.take like three deep threaths bud and be patient just like everyone else has to be. i don't like it either that i have to wait to know what's going on, but i have to trust in the higher powers that be that they know what they are doing by not releasing a lot of information on this yet. so should you. i think it makes both governments look bad when people strike out against their government on something so prematurally when they don't even have information any anything to strike out against in the first place.
  10. how is it mcdonalds fault? that is absurd logic. it's the same logic parent use to blame network television because the cartoons are getting too violent or blaming the gaming industry because video games are becoming to violent.listen. everyone has choices. they can either eat at mcdonalds, or they don't have to. nobody is forcing them. if anyone is forcing anyone, it's the mom's and dad's who go to mcdonalds with their kids like the op had stated, and criticizing their children because they aren't eating the fatty foods they ordered for them. they would rather be outside playing. how is mcdonalds at fault for this?many people love mcdonalds and choose to eat there because the food taste great, it's fast food, and they are choosing to eat there by their own free will. yea, the media goes as far as enticing people with mcdonalds commercials, but that's as far as it goes as far as being held accountable for obesity.
  11. it takes around 10 posts before everything kicks in. then you will be credited for past posts and future posts.if you are talking about posting copywrited content on the forum, no, it is not allowed unless you put it in quote tags. and it is always recomended that you credit the author. will you get mycents for this? nope. original content only is credited.
  12. ok. i read all the links. i think it explains a little more about this thing although it seems that there is a lot of confusion to what this thing really is. some people are going so far as to say it will create the super state of the 21st century. then i read how america is the biggest terrorist nation in the world. sorting through all that crap to get to the nuts and bolts of this thing was difficult and really didn't say a lot more than i already heard before.now as far as your post, it did come out anti usa haha and that was kinda supported when i read a line from one of the links you sent me to that called the usa the biggest terrorist country in the world.now since there wasn't that much information to go on here besides the basic opinions of the article writer who probably know as much about this rcc thing as i do, all i can do right now is express my own opinion.after 9-11, the u.s. boosted security in this country and stricter admission in to this country and even for those who just wanted to leave on vacation. they implemented a division call homeland security which in my opinion lessened the liberties and right of the american people. pretty much the same thing that has been happening slowing ever since this country was founded. the united states originally was considered to be one state connected to all the other states. if you were a citizen of one, you were a citizen of all. after our 14th amendment was created however, our beloved united states(one state uniting with another) became the United States. notice i rarely capitalize anything, but in this instance and even in our constitution, the spelling changed. slowly after our civil war when the north won over the south, although slavery was ended and our 14th amendment gave them equal rights, it was the beginning of corporate america and the word United states had a whole other meaning to describe our government rather than the people who lived here or the states that wanted their own sovereignty.now with that being said, one of the greatest risks canada faces is is the agreement to share in the security threats. with homeland security taking away some liberties and rights, i feel i have to agree to a certain extent that there is a possibility that canada will lose some of their sovereignty. but to open up the border more loosly, there HAS to be an agreement on security measures and how we will handle security threats since they will become more apparent when we loosen up the borders. you can't have one without the other and there has to be some sort of fair compromise. not just with canada, but more with the united states to actually protect canada's sovereignty.there was talk about how big businesses were controlling this whole rcc thing. i disagree only because i feel maybe everything wasn't being talked about openly as everyone would have liked to prevent big business in getting their hands and feet in to this deal and would allow our president to ignore special interest groups that run rampant here in the united states. from that standpoint, i am glad there hasn't been much information revealed. leaking out too much information too soon could also create a security threat to both countries. i don't like being kept in the dark, but the alternative scares me a little because this rcc thing could end before it even got started.like i said before, i think canada and the u.s. should have been working together all along in implementing a system for trade and border crossing that could not only benefit the government and the economy, but businesses and casual travelers. if we are going to embark on this journey, i would also like to see a common currency which i haven't even seen that being talked about in regards to the rcc. that along with cutting tarrifs would create A LOT more money in the hands of both citizens to spend more freely which would in turn help both economies.i have a hard time really giving an opinion myself when i don't even know any of the facts. they said there would be a two year mandate to work out the solutions. they also said that they would have 90 days to convene their first meeting. has this meeting taken place yet? if not, they have less than 30 days.i have to say though, i don't see this plan as a u.s. takeover at all. the reason why i say this is that there will be the same rules and regulations for both countries. it just has to be agreed upon what they will be. when there is a takeover in progress, there are two different sets of rules. one usually benefits one side more than the other. with the implementation of the rcc, this isn't happening(at least i don't think it is. it would be wrong to proceed that way).for me, i will have to see how things start and begin to progress before i have any real opinion. to talk about just the possibilities, both for and against will do no good in my opinion.i love canada. i always wanted to visit. what makes the two countries great are the people who live in it. not the government or the president or the prime minister. it's the people. and with the people making the countries so great, we also have the opportunity to elect officials to have a voice on our behalf. it's not a perfect system by far, but it's the best system. sometimes we just have to trust in the people we elect until there is something not to trust about them. in a lot of ways, we don't have a choice. i hate not having a choice, but it's how the system is governed. canada came a very long way to gain their own sovereignty. so i know how important it is to keep it.but let me let you in on a little secret that if you weren't terrified before, you will be. the u.s. wont take away your sovereignty. your own government will do that. history repeats itself. i know what government can do to limit sovereignty because it happened here already in the u.s.. i also know it's inevitable under your current political system which actually made canada a "free" country originally. even if canada had no ties with any other country, canada WILL lose part of their liberties and freedoms. this is another reason why i feel this plan is not being talked about too much publicly yet. it can create cival unrest and has the potential to create wars. this is what the united stated fought so feverishly for with lots of blood shed in our revolutionary war.i do know one thing. i can't accept anything that benefits me over someone else and if there is a chance that canada is losing it's sovereignty over and agreement that the united states made, i would be the first one in this country to stand up for your rights. i have to trust that our president and the people who will be governing the rcc wont allow that to happen right now. it's when people become lax over time in an agreement where other greedy people come in to try and dominate what was once a fair compromise. it's certainly something to always be aware of....especially with big businesses.anyway, that's part of my take. i really don't know what to say on this matter but tried my best to give my own opinion which i am sure, i left out a few things.....
  13. welcome to ks, darkyo. nate gave you your answer in setting up your account to earn mycents from your posts here and have them converted to hosting/domain credits. you shouldn't have a problem, but if you do, let us know!don't worry about being new to things, it's not as annoying to others here as you may think. we will always be here to help you if you need it or have any questions!
  14. ok. that makes sense then. you are anti usa. you don't trust us. i don't blame ya. my saying goes though is if candadians don't trust someone, don't get in to agreements at all with that someone.i don't really see how the u.s. government is trying to take over canada. i don't see it. i really don't.as far as it not being in the media, i watched something about this on the news. i forget when, but it didn't sound like anything too important only because there really wasn't much information on it. i believe it it had something to do with trade and making it easier to cross the borders which is why i thought it was just another extention of nafta. haven't really heard much about it since. so i don't know why you are saying it was some secret deal here.i did say that it seems to benefit the u.s. more only because our economy is in shambles at the moment and there really isn't anywhere we can go but up. but that didn't have to do with me believing that it wouldn't benefit canada, in fact, i really don't know ANYTHING about this thing.if i was canadian, i may be feeling the same way probably but you really didn't explain anything about this rcc thing. all you did was tell stories about the history of the u.s.. obviously the u.s. is a bigger country and nation and there are many advantages to that. i could try to argue all your points to where it wasn't as one sided, but it's really pointless to do so since i was only asking about this rcc thing.i will visit those links. hopefully there is some usefull information in them so i can respond better. this is an interesting topic to me only because i feel canada and the u.s. should have been working together all along.
  15. what do i think? it's way too early to tell. with the u.s. economy going as it has been, i think it benefits the u.s. more. i really haven't heard much about it though nor do i even know if there has even been any council meetings to even see where this thing is going. if you have any links that tells more about it, let me know and post them here. is mexico a part of this? this seems like an extention of nafta to me but i really have no clue to tell you the truth....i don't know why your scared to death. can you give me reasons why this scares you to death? do you know something i don't(which is very little)? doesn't sound like anyone's sovernties or liberties are being compromised. i could be mistaken. it's just way too early for me to even give an opinion....
  16. i don't know. read my 2,500+ posts on this forum and decide for yourself haha anyway, i do like your approach to the op's concern that it could be HOW you look at someone that could very well be the problem. this can definately be one of the reasons he is getting a negative response. i doubt it in this case though because he didn't go in to any detail how other people view him. for instance, i am known to be the quiet guy that never smiles. i enter a room, i am acting naturally. i am quiet, and i am not smiling unless there is something to smile about. this look i have tends to make people think i am stuck up or unwilling to talk or approach others and it leaves a negative first impression in other peoples heads about me and it leaves them not wanting anything to do with me. why do i know this? because i have been told by my friends and complete strangers this. i will walk in to a group envoronment and people i walk by will automatically tell me to smile or tell me to smile more. BUT! even though i am the way i am, and even though i do stare sometimes, nobody has EVER mentioned how they are turned off by me staring or even looking at them. this suggests to me that it is not really how you look or stare, it's how long you stare. also, some people just look naturally creepy to me. i can be looking at someone while they don't notice, and i am thinking that this guy has the look of a seriel killer. the guy isn't looking at me or staring at me at all and i still have that first impression. which leads me to my next point.... maybe this guy just gives off a wrong first impression, and when he realizes it, he shy's away too fast before people can actually get to know him. maybe it's this, maybe he stares too long, or maybe it's a combination of both things. sounds to me it's a combination of both things because he stated how he feels uncomfortable even going outside anymore....even just to ride his bike because now he's self conscious that every is looking at HIM when the original issue was him looking at other people. i don't think comparing this guy to how a gorrilla looks like when locked up in a cage for almost all his life is a good comparison though. also, i disagree that looking at a person's body is a big no no. i have many male friends who stare at a female body and they don't get all that much criticism. so i think it is mainly how he is looking at people specifically. he already stated he only looks at their faces anyways. to be a good judge, i would have to see a photo of this guy to see if i can offer any better suggestions than i already have. like i said. some people just have that face that makes people suspicious. it's like how people judge women who are walking down the street with a short mini skirt and a skimpy top, or how people will judge a man walking down the street who is big and muscular, wearing no shirt and lots of tatoos. people will make first impressions of someone's every day appearance. so this could be the case too. who knows. i would like to see a picture to judge for myself though haha....
  17. i don't know if i heard correctly. did you say that your friend told you he liked you before you had a messy breakup? if so, shame on him and shame on you. i am not too keen about a person jumping in to another relationship too quickly either. obviously you don't have any closure here yet. this could actually hurt your current relationship and this other guy. although if it does, you both deserve it and should learn from this experience.so are you on the rebound? hard to say. it depends on how you feel about your ex and how he treated you and it depends on how you feel with this new guy and how he treats you. what i can say is that you aren't ready to be in another relationship if you don't have closure with your ex. you still think about him, you still wonder things, you still talk to him, etc....etc...what you need to be thinking is what is best for YOU. is your ex best for you? if not, then you made the right decision in not being with him. is this new guy right for you? he can say all the nice things and pretty words, but is he right for you and a commitment from you? if no, then you need to remain just friends. if yes, then it gets tricky. since you don't have closure yet with your ex, then it's unfair for this relationship and this other guy right now. it can really hurt this relationship before it even gets started. if you both are up for the challenge though and very understanding towards eachother, it COULD work. it depends what this new guy feels too. why does he like you more than friends? why was he trying to disrespect your old relationship by telling you how he feels and indirectly causing a breakup with your ex? i dunno. it sounds like a lot of drama to me when i am trying to read between the lines. personally, i think you are all pretty much immature and don't know the first thing about a relationship.my ultimate advice to you is to end ties with both guys and figure out what you want from your own life. jumping from one relationship to another dictates that you are a needy person. you need a man in your life or something. you are trying to find comfort with your life in someone else who can be close to you. if you are young and keep doing this, then this will be all you know. so please just stop it and find yourself before trying to fill that void you seem to have with a male figure in your life that will probably not be able to fill your void either. find yourself, THEN share your life with someone else. don't do it backwards because you will be setting yourself up for failure.
  18. although it was a very well written post, the most of the information is very outdated. but the structure does dictate that he can indeed write a successful e-book and even sell it on the warrior forum or clickbank or another place that would get it out there.site submissions and directories, although usefull in the past, i don't even waste my time with those anymore. search engines are soo good at finding sites naturally(and there are ways to get them to crawl your site within hours now) that site submissions are a waste of time when their que for a site submission can take months before they even get to your site. directory submissions? to me, they are about as usefull as forum profile links. they ARE usefull in their own way still, but there are a lot better ways to get your site noticed or for seo purposes.web rings are not only outdated, google will penalize a site utilizing a web ring now just like google is starting to penalize sites that utilize a link wheel. the web ring was probably the worst and outdated part of the guide.link exchanges was the second worst part of the guide because google is penalizing sites that exchange links now. sure, you get advertising on another persons site, it may be worth it if your lucky enough to put a link on the main page of another site, but you will be trading that for a higher serp placement in google. most people are more concerned about how they can get the #1 spot for a keyword. link exchanges will prevent that from happening for sure! there is a way to do link exchanges where you wont be penalized, but the strategy involved is for another post all together....word of mouth is an EXCELLENT way of getting your website noticed....especially in the examples he gave for social networks. this technique is somewhat old but still works great. this was the best part of his guide for sure! there are many ways you can stratigize the word of mouth technique to where it causes a viral effect. this technique has been used since the www was established and still works today and it's even easier than before with all the social network sites out there. it doesn't concentrate on seo, but it WILL drive traffic faster while waiting for your site to hit the first page for your main keyword.all his other suggesting are pretty good too and should be read and reread to understand the suggestions better.anyway, although it was very well written, there was some stuff in there that was very outdated and can actually hurt your site. i personally will NEVER ever in a million years do anything that would ever hinder my site in the search engine rankings where i will receive the most targeted traffic. although some of the suggesting he had was really good suggestions, i would also recomend anyone creating a site, to concentrate on seo first(both on page and off page) and THEN concentrate on driving faster traffic to your site while you move up in the search engine rankings over time. for a personal blog, seo wouldn't matter as much. but if you want to make money from your site, seo will always be #1 and should always be focused on first and foremost.
  19. i have to agree with that completely. i don't like to use "anxiety" to describe it though because there are too many things in society that made that word a negative word which it really isn't. it just depends on what is creating the anxiety. i like to describe it more like just getting the blood flowing. and you are right. that spark doesn't usually last forever. over time when people start to become more comfortable with eachother, it dies out. it doesn't mean it has to stay dead though. with a little creativity, that "fire" can be lit again.you were more technical in your response, but it really is good for people to understand where things come from on a more technical level sometimes
  20. haha there you go with the rep thing. your back! you weren't too concerned when nate called you a him instead of a her though :)well, this is off topic but more interesting to me than an email for a resume. maybe it's a sign that you should be around more often huh? just a thought...
  21. well i hope he listens to you because i really do think you are saying it best and a lot of truth in your words....
  22. well, i think of her as more of an entertainer than a musician. she has two sides to her and one side will never be complete without the other. that's why it's not my taste. i look for something else when listening to music.i do respect her highly though. i have seen her many times in her interviews.
  23. yuck! even though i admire her and the work she has done and the inspiration she has had from others to get to where she is at now, she isn't my style....so again.... yuck!
