nothing right now will return you to being as active as before, but i'm glad to see you posting again. you are one of the VERY few members past and present that i have counted on to help with this forum. deadmad is another one even though his heart isn't fully in to it sometimes. you guys are the two most newest members who have contributed the most in your special ways that I SEE help this forum.we need some of the older members coming back. we also need new blood. and with that "new blood", the older members need to make them feel welcome so they will stay for a while.opaque has his own thing going with the forum and that is ultimately to make money. some members have their own goals in mind and that is to share their knowledge while other members' goals is to GET knowledge. my goal? to make Xisto a community.to make a place a community though takes the effort of ALL people with ALL goals in mind. the admins have to be active. the moderators have to be active, the member DEFINITELY have to be active. there also has to be a common place for everyone to congregate which is why i LOVED the implimitation of the chat room when everyone was against it. i was always in there wanting to make an impact and put my money where my mouth was.people who were seen in the chat room regularly?anwiiweb designerchinibaniboydeadmadrobhurt4lovesaint michaelopaquewith special thanks to galaxcd and jhaslip who would come in unexpectedlyif i left anyone out, i am sorry, but the above people are ones that have influenced me the most and that i recognize here as being a part of the chat room and the community team. opaque was last on the list but probably had the most impact as an admin. i can honestly say that when people were coming in to the chat room and joining as a community, it was the best time i had at Xistoi don't know if we can ever make trap/ks what it used to be, but i am willing to give it a shot with other peoples commitments to not give up on this place like me...i know i posted my resignation to ks a month ago but i really don't want to give up on this place. this place holds a special place in my heart. it was never about the mycents or the knowledge. it was about getting to know people....laughing and crying together...saying stupid crap and hating eachother. this is what i wanted to bring to the table when i was a moderator before i resignedi've said a lot of negative things about Xisto in regards to the poor service xisto has to the laxed moderatorships here, to the lazy admins who don't even show their faces. all of that is true so i don't take any of it back. but the truth is, the people who make this site successful is NONE of those things. it's the MEMBERS who will make this site successful in the long run. we have to all want this place to be a place we can come to to share knowledge.....to recieve knowledge...to make friends.....to make enemies....to be a community and ultimately come together and not let this place fail!that's my piece for now..... PEACE! -

well i wouldn't go so far as to say opaque doesn't care about his members. when Xisto opened to the public, it trasitioned itself to where you see it today. don't make me grab the history of trap and post the link in here. most every long term member has already read it and knows the hard work and dedication it took. i know things are crap and some members need to have a voice or an explaination. but just because things are crap right now shouldn't dictate that opaque doesn't care about his members and has less dedication or working any less. it just means that he may have more important things to do in his personal and business life to acknowledge ONE part of his life right now. but it still doesn't excuse the fact that it only takes 10 minutes to make an announcement here and there or some major flaws in how the forum is being run right now.anyway, i talked to opaque a couple times after the new year. i don't have anything bad to say about his character, but i wish he could just be here sometimes even if it's just once a week to let people know he's still around. he is still around, just lurking in the shadows for now. he asked me not to mention what we talked about, but i just wanted to tell people that he IS still around. he DOES still care about this place and the members here even though his actions really aren't showing that in the ways some people would like.....including me. i have to see beyond certain selfish traits that i have to understand more of what is going on.deadmad started a post and i respect the idea behind it. sometimes it's up to the members to dictate the quality of this forum. without moderator or admin participation. with that said, i hope my suggestions are taken in to consideration when a member logs on. post once a day. it's simple. if there is no good posts to reply to that day, start a new thread. the more people we have thinking this way, the easier it will be to reply to threads in the future without having to think of new topics. -
my dog is like robs. my dog doesn't normally lick me except when i am playing rough and he sometimes hurts me. i'll say "ouch!" or something and he'll start licking the spot he thinks he hurt. i trained him as a pup the word "attack" and when he was biting too hard, i would say "gentle" and he would start licking instead of biting.in this sense, i think licking is more of a protective nature. i will never believe though that if my dog doesn't lick me, he isn't showing his affection. i don't think that is the major reason why dogs lick. but again, this is only my opinion. the whole dog licking thing can be debatableand yes, i think licking sometimes has to do with attaching a dogs scent to something. i didn't say the dog needed to pee on someone or another dog. that would be something else entirely but still has meaning...

yea, i like deadmad's sig. i am probably going to vote for it if nobody else enters.one thing people can do is to pm those who have competed in the sotw in the past. sometime people get notified in email when they get a pm(i have that option on personally). it might just let them know a new sot"W"hatever is going on again until it can be a TRUE sotw an people will always know when they are going on.

i beg to differ with your whole theory.1-2 line posts look like spam and will always look like spam. if i was a new member and came to a forum that only had 1-2 liners, i would leave immediately. also, there is something you should know about being a mod here. this forum is not just for the users. it's for the admin to make a little more money. every mod in here except maybe you knows that this forum pushes seo and quality content. you forget that if there is little content, the earning of the forum go down. if the earnings go down, then that is bad for EVERYONE. -
well, i've been around dogs all my life. i think you are right in a way deadmad. dogs DO show their affection by licking but licking doesn't mean a dog is showing their affection. i think this topic is debatable. i personally think licking is instictive by nature. most dogs love me, yet half of them don't lick me. i think it has more to do with communication than anything else. dogs communicate differently just like humans do. it could mean they are showing affection, it could mean they are greeting someone, it could mean they are marking their scent, it could mean you smell and taste good. heck. it could mean they want to clean you....just like when monkeys instinctively pick your hair. it could mean many things.to really know why a dog is licking you means you have to know the dog or dogs in general and pay very close attention to detail and their demeanor.

i personally always liked the mice with the ball over an optical mouse. i've used both and the ball always offered more reliability to what i was doing on my computer. especially if i were moving my mouse fast and quick. in fact, i noticed a big difference depending on what i was doing. i remember when i had an atari and the biggest thing that came out was the cordless joystick. luckily i hesititated on purchasing one because after attempting to use my friends', i soon discovered it wasn't as reliable. it's pretty much the same thing.right now i'm using a laptop and don't need the mouse for precision or gaming so i just use my mouse pad. unless optical mice have changed in the last 2 years, then i would still vote for the mouse ball. it's a no brainer to me. as far as cleaning it, yea, that was a *BLEEP* at first, but i only had to clean mine a couple times a year after taking it to it's limits. it wasn't really the ball you were cleaning though, but the four rollers where the ball fits snugly.one of the BIGGEST differences i found personally was when i was playing the hasbro missle command game that i was addicted to for a year. i started playing it with a ball mouse. after it broke, i bought an optical mouse. in fact, i tried 3 different ones. NONE of them compared to the ball mouse.the optical mouse has it's advantages, but if you are looking for reliability and precision, i would take the ball mouse over the optical mouse any day of the week. oh and btw- the mice i used were always cheap. i am a cheapsakte so i always tried to buy something around $20 or so for a mouse. to me, anything more than that was a ripoff. i wonder what the high end mice are like. maybe different. i'll never know

Intervalometer / Time Lapse Looking for a device for time lapse photography
anwiii replied to rvalkass's topic in Photography
deadmad- it's true that it looked more like a fast forwarded video. but see, it was a pretty good job actually. especially for the first or second time. photography is an art, bud....and for most people like me it's a hobby. it takes a lot of practice and an eye for detail or at least a vision. sorta like when you create your sigs. just because you don't see the point doesn't mean there isn't one.rvalkass- actually, the back of your head with your computer in front of you can make for a very interesting shot for time lapse photography because you are in total control of your movements and what is shown on the computer screen. this can create a special effect in and of itself that cannot be accomplished when shooting an image you have no control over. like i said before the simple technique you used for a 5 second clip can be used to inspire more creativity. just just with the shutter speed/continuous mode from the camera itself -
Intervalometer / Time Lapse Looking for a device for time lapse photography
anwiii replied to rvalkass's topic in Photography
see, that was cool and that was just using the continuous picture taking feature. i know it has disadvantages, but you can learn a lot about time lapse photography just by tweaking what you already did and it could help with brainstorming bigger projects when your ready to.for instance, i would be curious to know what the same clip would look like if you set the shutter speed to 1/10 of a second or so to create a little blur and to make it look more like a time lapse and not just a video on fast forward. or you can do it the other way and set the time interval just a little longer. set the aperture accordingly so the film doesn't get too over exposed if you adjust the shutter speed though. you have a lot of light already in your room there.anyway, personally, i would be screwing around with what i have now just like what you just did with what you have. i totally forgot about the continuous shooting mode on most decent cameras. i thought your first video was pretty cool man! i am getting really jealous now since this is something i always wanted to mess around with. make another one :)oh. i just realized that you can use the continuous mode for 1 second at a time max. is this the setting you used? i suggested increasing that, not really knowing what you had it set to for this example. if so, the adjusting the shutter speed should create a more interesting affect.the reason why i said "hands on" is because this is a good idea at first once you warm up to the idea of bigger projects. that one second max feature for continuous pictures is also all you probably need to shoot one of those time lapse video examples in your first post with cars passing by. in the video you created, maybe 1 second isn't enough time since you are walking slower than a car travels. but you get my point. these 5 second videos is all you need right now to get started until you decide to buy or make something more automatic. also, you could always save your set of 100 pictures, reshoot the same scene etc...and combine all the sets together in the editing process for a longer clip. you can still do it with you in the scene. you would just have to illiminate the pictures/frames where you are seen walking back in to the scene/frame. -
Intervalometer / Time Lapse Looking for a device for time lapse photography
anwiii replied to rvalkass's topic in Photography
hey- i didn't know you were in to photography. i always loved photography and the only thing i really haven't done which i always wanted to try was time lapse photography where i can put all my photos together and create a small clip.with digital photography now, it makes time lapse photography that much easier. i don't have a digital camera though. i am stick stuck with my nikon n70. i actually gave it to my mom a while back to get her in to photography, then about 6 months ago(after 5 years), she went ahead and bought a d90 or something. i was jealous :)anyway, i think for your first few clips, you want to play around with it without any auto triggering system. personally, the more hands on my photography is, the more proud i am of my work. it's just a hobby so i can do everything by hand for my first few projects i'm sure.i think the 2 most crucial aspects of time lapse photography would be how long you leave your shutter open for each picture, and how many frames per second you edit your final video to be. shooting the pictures are easy but can be time consuming if doing it without an intervalometer. if you do decide to go with an intervalometer, a decent one that would do the job would only cost $50 or so. not really something that will break you considering your digital camera and accessories you already have probably is worth over $1,000.i know that if i had a digital camera, i would have already tried my hand in time lapse photography. i would start off with a simple project like the sky and the clouds....then get in to shooting a full moon or something.....then get in to something more complex like moving cars at dusk or at night where i can play with the shutter speed a little more and get even more creativethe creativity wont stop at just taking the pictures, but with the final editing process. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. unfortunately i don't have the means or the time without a good digital camera. i do have a a cheap one, but i don't have a tripod which is almost a necessity for time lapse photography. i mean, i am used to shooting at night with the shutter open for a second or so when i prop the camera on a car hood or a tree limb, but it's not the same. any slight movement from the camera in the three hours or so you are shooting would ruin the final clip entirely.the only major problem i see with time lapse photography is having enough storage space for your pictures. you never want to run out so it's good to do all the math before you even start taking your first picture.if you already have your digital camera and a tripod, spend an hour or so to create your first group of pictures to run through editing software to create your first clip. upload it here so we can all see it :)doesn't have to be fancy and you don't need an intervalometer or however you spell that word.... -

i applaud your effort deadmad. i agree with your insight 100%. i just don't think i agree that 10 posts a day from people are going to save this forum. knowledge is only as good as the people you share it with. also, 10 posts a day is a lot and a bit too much. people can easily be overwhelmed to make such a commitment.the person who has the most posts in this forum is saint michael who only has an average of 3 posts a day now. you brought up the fact that my posts are long. they are, and i probably hold the record for most mycents earned and i have half the average post saint michael does.i think it's just safe to say that 10 posts a day is just too much deadmad. nobody gives a crap.....that is until the admins get off their *bottom* or the moderators start setting an example or the users pull together to create their own environment here.i can throw around some ideas that can be a little more realistic, but even that wont help unless everyone pulls together to do their part to share their own knowledge.anyway, i really do applaud your effort with this thread, deadmad. let's try to come up with something a little more realistic and maybe set some goals and ideas in place that can help turn this place around without blaming the admins or the mods(something even i have been guilty of). we can use this thread as a starting point to throw around some ideas....my ideas off the top of my head right after i just woke up is this...(and it only counts for the old members that are still here)1: post at least 1 post a day2: start a new topic a week3: set a time two times a day for an hour where people can be committed to be in the chat room depending on peoples time zones4: continue with the SOTW EVERY week, even if nobody enters and make sure it's advertised more5: when someone sees someone post in the introduction, everyone should be commited to welcoming the new user if they see the introduction.those are my ideas right now that i would like to throw around. whether people agree or disagree with ideas doesn't matter, let's just try to come up with the things that most everyone can agree on at first. realistic goals and goals that people can commit to without feeling they are doing all the work without other people commiting themselves too.once we have a few things people can commit to, then we make your list of committed people. if someone isn't fulfilling their commitment, anyone on the list is required to remind those people of their commitment -
see- everyone is saying come clean. a response can be summed up very quickly... would you rather be worried about being blackmailed in the future or would you rather worry about your character so you WONT be blackmailed in the future? that sums it up. now YOU choose how you want to live....

Beta Server Constantly Down! whats the problem?
anwiii replied to anwiii's topic in Web Hosting Support
you aren't getting it nik. you are computing hosts support tech an you aren't getting it. if you are having trouble understanding, then reread the thread. other people are understanding. not you. sending a support ticket when beta is down for an hour does no good and is a waste of time. i wanted to post about it publicly instead because that to me is NOT a waste of time. if i knew that you were sitting at your desk waiting to help people with their problems, maybe i would send a ticket just to show you how true this situation is and so you can't say beta has always been up. that isn't the case now, is it -
why would you want expensive solar panels when you can buy a cheap ugly windmill and put it in your front yard for everyone to see?

the vps packages offered by Xisto - Web Hosting is the most competitive priced packages. more so than the webhosting itself or dedicated server. i WOULD suggest to google what the above poster recomended. when you're looking at spending $250, i ALWAYS do my research. just make sure it's a company that has been around a while and wont go out of business an the quality is there. you know the old saying...."you get what you pay for". good luck in your search. hope ya don't get scammed if someone is offering a vps to ya for less than $8.50 a month($100 a year is what you quoted)!
-
it depends on what type of complain you have. since you posted in the Xisto - Support thread, here is the forum directly off the xisto site...http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ if you posted your problem here, we'd be able to help you faster...but just go to that page and fill out the form i guess....

what's with the crotch grabbing in the gallery images? haha

ok. i went to that website and it did verify that it helps with the digestive system. actually, it intimated that that is one if it's main benefits because it was the first thing they mentioned and pretty much the only thing they mentioned. What YOU mentioned, and let me remind you since i think you forgot.... you said that black pepper helps with colds, depression, weightloss, etc...the fact is, NONE of these things were mentioned in the one article you directed me to. why did you even direct me there? don't even waste my time if your going to direct me to places that wont even confirm what you said. plus, i will be curious about the validity of information that is even posted on the internet. ANYONE can post anything they want on the internet just like you did. it doesn't make it true. although the article you did irect me to seemed to have truth to it, it did NOT however convey the point of this magical black pepper that you did in your post.i am not questioning the value and the ingredients in herbs or spices for natural remedies and possible cures, what i AM questioning is the list you gave for black pepper.one thing i read in that post you guided me to that i don't believe on bit is that it said it helps with throat irritation. i know from experience that when my throat is dry, itchy, and basically irittated, pepper is the LAST thing i will put on my food because it will make my throat even MORE irritated and cause me to cough.so again, i ask you what type of pepper? is it even ground pepper or is it in actuality pepper corns? because part of the article mentioned sucking on a pepper corn where you can't really suck on ground black pepper. i was assuming you are talking about pepper that you put on your food and not the actual pepper corns. if you mean pepper corns, then your title should distinguish between the two. so what do you mean? ground black pepper or pepper corns? and what kind of pepper anyway? you still didn't say....

you can find out more by visiting xisto's sister site, Xisto - Web Hosting.com that website is where everyone gets hosted here. to answer your question in a nutshell, yes, they offer vps packages. go to the site to learn more information and then either post more of your questions or open a support ticket so they can help you directly

this whole topic is a joke. common sense is all relative. we use the term "common sense" to judge others that don't think like us. i just got done posting in the death penalty thread. ofcourse a lot of people will say, if someone kills someone else without "reason" or a reason society doesn't take in to consideration, of course, fry the killer! it's just common sense, right? if someone takes a life, that life doesn't deserve to live either. common sense. B.S.! is what i say. "common sense" is a term used to justify what is right and right. i have to admit. i have used the term before. i have met people that in my eyes, they were just plain stupid and had no common sense. but was i right to think that way? ofcourse not. i don't know everything to even begin to know what true common sense is except if i were to relate it to how society lives and thinks in general. but see, this is my whole point. i have always been one to live against typical society.....and for good reason. there is more to life than just "common sense". your right. we aren't born with common sense. we learn it or don't learn it. but before we ask where it went, we really should talk about what it is and if it's even worth talking about at all. if a kid is playing in the living room and decides to stick his finger in the wall socket only to get electrocuted and get hurt, obviously common sense would be that if the kid doesn't want to get hurt again, he wont stick his finger in the wall socket anymore. but what if the child wasn't born with a fully developed brain? we know from the past that these special needs kids need extra care. does this mean the child has no common sense and this is why they need special care? is common sense another way of saying that 1 person is better than the other? let's say that we agree that these kids don't have any common sense whatsoever. does it mean we have nothing to learn from them? do people with absolutely no common sense have nothing to offer this world? if your thinking inside the box, then ofcourse, those kids have nothing to offer or to teach. but if you think outside the box, you can quickly realize that someone with absolutely no common sense can actually teach others common sense indirectly without even knowing it....or the common sense that *I* see at least. for example, has anyone ever watched the special olympics? it's a bunch of people who pretty much don't even know why they are there. they are running a race and don't even know why. then we see them stop on a dime and run the opposite way just so a friend can catch up and they can finish the race together. this kids weren't born with common sense and they don't even know what common sense is for the most part, so how is it that we can learn common sense from no common sense?someone who has to ask where common sense went to isn't really opening their eyes to what they really want to know. in fact, it has nothing to do with common sense. common sense is relative. typically, there is no right or wrong. there just is. yea, we can label things right and wrong, but by doing that, we get further from the ultimate truth. it's easy to judge and ask where common sense went without truelly understanding the real issues...

i used to be for the death penalty. really hard nosed. eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. i also would kill someone with my bare hands if someone killed my family. or worse yet, my neice. i learned a lot about life since then about life....and in this case, society(at least in the united state). i am against the death penalty now. you are correct. one of my reasons was that there have been innocent people who died because our justice system isn't perfect. it's really so easy for people to believe in the death penalty. "oh. he killed someone? he should die too". you know what's sad? people can say and believe in those things without even knowing the person at all. just judge him fully on something he did was bad or inexcusable. anyone who believes in the death penalty basically believes we have a right to live as long as we don't kill anyone but then all those rules we have for someone who kills gets thrown out the window when we send teenagers and people in their 20's off to war in a different country with no other m.o. but to kill. i guess it's ok if it's done in another country when we can give some logical reason like "it's our patriotic duty". in my opinion, those people are nothing but hypocrites.fact is, we DON'T know these people who have killed. in life, we were were never born to take care of ourselves. our parents raised us, and in a big way, society in general raises our kids. for the most part, as they grow up, they are influenced by how they were raised. it's really easy to say that if parents fail our children or society fails our children, we should excute those people. we shouldn't take ANY responsibility for them whatsoever. the thinking behind this is that we can argue that they were adults. they had a brain. THEY chose to commit the act.let me give you a scenario. a little girl is ready to go to bed and is tucked in by her mother at night. as she clutches her favorite stuffed animal while trying to go to sleep, and after her mother is out of the room, her father comes in and rapes this girl. in fact, he's been raping her every few days for a couple years now. he hurt her and made her bleed. after another year of this going on, the father is arrested and sentenced to let's say 20 years. what a dispicable human being to do such a thing to someone so innocent. this little girl grows up, but not in a normal way like all the other girls out there. not like her friends. her friends seem happy. this girl starts getting old enough to date an even have sexual relationship with other guys. well one day, after dating this guy for a year, she finally decides it's time to make love to him. she didn't want to before because of her terrible past. in fact, she learned to hate men because of what they did to her and how they made her feel. but she gives in to the idea of making love. not for her, but for this guy that may leave her if she is unable to make love or have sex. well they do, and she ends up killing him afterwards. evidently, she suffered from ptsd, depression, anxiety, and a few other things nobody helped her with after she was tramautized by her father. while the guy was being gentle with her thinking it was her first time because she was never able to admit she was consistantly raped by her own father, she had a flashback. she didn't see this guy. she saw her father......but now she was old enough and strong enough to stop him....and she did! but she didn't stop her father. she took the last breath away from someone she was trying to love but was unable to because of her past. because of how she was raised by her parents and because society failed her in getting her the help she needed. all people who believe in the death penalty will kill this girl. she took an innocent life. while her father got 20 years, she gets death.my whole point is that we don't even know these people that we are judging and determine that they have absolutely no right to live. we aren't taking in to consideration extenuating circumstances that might explain how they they and why they think the way they do. we don't take in to consideration that the father in the above case example probably deserves to die before this girl.our laws can dictate that we can lose our jobs, we can lose our homes, and we can get thrown out on the streets, but we are still expected to act normal like none of those devestating things ever happened. a homeless man is sometimes moved to the edge of town and told not to return, or moved to a location where people are living in cardboard boxes. a place so remote, hardly anyone ever goes there or even notices how some people are forced to live sometimes. society doesn't want any part of these people. they are probably good people but are treated like outcasts. a lot of these people see no hope and they start doing drugs to cope because the drugs in that part of town are everywhere. so they pay for them by washing windows as a car is stopped at a stop light. they get humiliated by a lot of people when these people to tell them to get away or tell these homeless people to get a job and stop acting like a bum. their WHOLE being and character is beaten down by society when in the end, sometimes they lose themselves completely and have a hard time finding themselves again. oh there is hope, but they can't help themselves by themselves anymore. so one day, in the wintertime when it's cold and they haven't eaten in a week because there no money to be found on the streets and no passing cars to wash windows, they decide to steal some food at the local little store just to survive. there owner of the store notices the crime and there is a struggle and the owner winds up dead and the homeless man is allowed to live another day by grabbing the food he needed to do so.the reason why i don't believe in the death penalty and never will again, is because the death penalty is a selfish act and is based on 1 act that is commited by someone else without really trying to understand who these people really are. everyone makes mistakes. sure, taking a life is almost an unforgivable act, but it's still considered a mistake. everyone makes them. it's just the degree of our mistakes in how other people will judge us. but when people judge others, they judge by a specific act.....not really judging the person as a whole. for example. some women dress provocotavely and sometimes these women get raped. well the person who knew how she dressed will think that maybe she deserved it. people judged her as a **** just be looking at the way she dressed. people who believe in the death penalty think the same way. they think on the surface of things and are too lazy to dig a little deeper to look at the WHOLE picture. the surface of any person and the mistakes they make have absolutely NOTHING to do with the person as a whole.this is my MAIN reason that i don't believe in the death penalty. there are other logical and legitimate reason. my reasoning above certainly isn't my only reason, but it is my main reason. people are blind to the real truth. sometimes people see only what they want to see at any given time. oh. this guy walked in and killed some people. "i don't need to know wny more than that to know this person deserves to die". people who believe in the death penalty are not objective human benings. they are subjective to what they want to see or how they were raised to see.you know the funny things? our states are allowed to sentence someone to death, but if someone killed their daughter, if they take the law in to their own hands with premeditation of killing someone who was going to be sentenced to death anyway, these people will get arrested and charged with murder. so in fact, it's ok for the goverment to kill, but it's not ok for citizens of the government to kill. where is the logic? there is none. in fact, there is very LITTLE logic behind the death penalty. the death penalty is fed through emotions. not logical thinking at all. emotions have no brains. everyone knows that....so why judge through emotions or create laws out of emotions?we used to have the death penalty in every state of the united states at one point. the reason why most states don't impliment the death penalty is that we have come a long way to learn and to realize things. the death penalty or no death penalty is a tradeoff. there are pros and cons to each. i'll tell you one thing though, believing in the death penalty is easy. when we have a death penalty system, we learn absolutely nothing in or about life or the people in our society. it's too easy. life isn't about making easy decisions. this is what i have learned throughout the years. the easy way is not usually the best way. we can't just live on the surface, we have to uncover the layers to TRUELY understand and judge correctly.a big part of life is to HELP people, not put them to death because nobody has the time to truely get to know a "murderer" or even a girl who dresses provocotively because when she gets raped, she'll deserve it or was asking for it. she doesn't deserved to be judged that way and a person who kills doesn't deserve to be judged that way either.make no mistake, murder is WRONG and there has to be consequences. but the consequences to any one thing should NEVER be to turn your back on people......EVER!

Customer Service Situation #1 How would you handle it?
anwiii replied to truefusion's topic in Business Forum
the very first thing i would do is offer any discounts or or incentives to help ease the transition of relocating. if the customer didn't book his/her full stay in advance, then it really isn't the companies problem but it really doesn't help the situation if you tell the customer that. if i was a guest, i wouldn't like it one bit, but i gaurantee you, i would go with the flow if they offered me half off 1 or two nights or maybe 1 night free. the only thing they would maybe have to pay for is taxes or the cleaning service or something. something like this would turn my frown upside down. some people though you can never please. it's always good to symapthize and make sure they understand that YOU understand their disappointment rather than shrug them off to a new location rudely. -
ummmm excuse me??? who said i believe in doctors who promote pharmaceuticals? please don't assume to know what i would or wouldn't believe. in fact, i have a problem just taking an asprin for a headache. anyone who knows me knows this while i will support a more natural approach to any problem if there is a natural cure. but i will tell you this much. i will believe the doctors in the u.s. over a farmer's propoganda in a third world country ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. that's just me though. we are each entitled to our own opinion based on ignorance or fact. contactskn- you are still not showing me where i can read up on documented proof to your post. all you said was you asked some doctors about pepper. i find it odd that someone would ask doctors about the benefits of pepper. it really is FAR from an every day occurance. i am also curious what kind of pepper we are talking about here because there is different kinds. i love pepper personally. i put it on most my food. i can't stand lots of salt, but i do love my pepper. what i personally use is the standard pure ground black pepper for my foods sheepdog- i read your post about farming in another thread. i really haven't read up on it or heard anything about it, but it would make sense that the government would regulate farming since they already spend billions in grants for farmers. i can't believe they are trying to regulate natural foods you can grow on your land though. that makes absolutely no sense to me and i would think it would be unconstituational do so. please point me to a web page so i can read more about this. now in this thread however, we are talking about indian farmers i think. it's not regulated the same but it's still the same business concept. they have to sell their goods and there is no better way to do that than to hype it up. it's legal to do so in other countries but not here in the united states. the only thing you can gather is from what you read in medical journals where sadly enough most doctors don't even read when they are recommending treatments or possible cures. the only thing i read upon with my quick research is that pepper helps with the digestive system. this seems to be the most common healthy features of pepper but it wasn't even listed in the original post so now after researching and noticing that this was left out, i can't help but believe that the credibility of these so called facts should be investigated further.....
