oh wow. hi nameless!very simply, you will always have a main domain or subdomain attatched to your website. if you buy another domain, then you can park it or use it as an addon. if you park it, when you type in the url, you will be directed to your main domain. if you addon the domain, it means that when you type in the url, you go to the actual site and you are not directed to your main domain.in other words, if you don't plan to do anything with your new domain, park it. if you DO plan on using it and make a new site, don't park it and use it as an addon. when you do this, a seperate folder will be made in your public_html folder. that is the folder you will use to upload your files to your new domain(ie index.html etc....)it will look like a regular directory folder, but it's actually for your newly created domain. glad to see you! i miss your questions! haha

it is ALWAYS a big deal when someone asks a specific question and people respond by giving false information. semrush is good just like a lot of other seo tools but if i would have to mention programs, semrush would definitely not be at the top of my list. i also love how people can give advice but in the end, rely on programs for seo.

dog shows are never for the dog, but for the owners who what to take credit for characteristics of a dog they own. it's just wrong. as wrong as "training" a child to be in a beauty contest. i guess bikerman and his wife need the awards for some selfish reason.

my dear rpg. domains names have a huge influence buddy. not just with small sites. i think you need to get your information elsewhere from now on or you just might see your website falling in the shadows. but you are correct. it has an influence on small sites too. for instance. when i bought a certain domain last year, i had a few clicks come from search results directly linked to the keywords in my domain. i did no seo or had any backlinks to my site. but some of my visitors were a direct result of the keywords in my domain. if the keywords weren't there, they wouldn't have found the site that really is a worthless piece of crap right now because i did absolutely nothing with it.you know 10 years ago, this debate was going on and the experts were trying to figure out if a domain has any influence on serps. well it's 10 years later and i have tested many things out my own self first hand and can tell you outright than keywords in domain names DO influence rankings just like your description and title do. to say otherwise is pure ignorance and you are giving false information to users here at Xisto. it really bugs me when i have to read false information when people pretend to know what they are talking about.stick with the topics you know.....like harrassing inea....

yes, content and backlinks is king, but don't every write about how keywords in a domain doesn't influence google's serps. in the long run, if two different websites have similar content and similar backlinks, the one with the keywords in the domain will rank higher. believe THAT. if you want to continue to argue your point how it doesn't matter in the long run, i am ready for a debate.

yes! keywords in domains are relevant. at the same time, domains sit in what is called a sandbox for a while until the domain is established. also, the more competition a keyword has, the less relevant the domain would be with the keyword in it. relevant backlinks are still king. if you can get about 20 backlinks from relevant and top ranked sites, and create good on site seo, a good page title and description, then worrying about a keyword in a domain is almost pointless except for branding purposes. but i am a big supporter of keywords in domains. i use the adwords keyword tool religiously when i am researching. i rarely use word tracker and keyword discovery since you need to pay for them to get anything usefull out of them.i wouldn't post your domains in public since people can steal them, but if you shoot me a pm with the domains you have in mind, i can do some quick research and guide you. also, if you can post what your site is going to be about, i might be able to offer ideas so you can collect your mycents on this topic if we can keep this topic active. it's the only reason why i am responding right now. because i know you need the mycents quickly...if you DID want to pay for either word tracker or the keyword discovery tool, the i would pay for word tracker HANDS DOWN

ok. what does any of this have to do with the decade plan? absolutely nothing. please start a new thread or post in a relevant oneand to clear things up, mahesh was talking about a domain tax. not a hosting tax. so when rpg posted how much his hosting is without a tax, mahesh got confused because rpg is getting confused. all this is really confusing

can you post a link where you are getting that information? i don't understand this tax thing. i know that if i were to register a domain right now through xisto, it will be 12.95 without tax. i even went through a sample order process. is it different depending on what country you're in? i'm in the united states. also, 10%+ tax doesn't even seem right. anyway, please let me know where you are getting this information because if i can verify it, then it's obvious there are different prices for people depending on where they live and it's important to give accurate information when posting publicly.

seems like the topic starter wasn't very specific in what kind of terrorism. i do think terrorism can be as simple as poulling a fire alarm. in fact, ofcourse that is true and i would be able to argue that point. if there is terrorism, then it means a person or a group of people are being terrorized. this term of being terrorized has been loosely used when someone continues to terrorize someone verbally so in fact, terrorism doesn't have to be a physical act of any kind, but terrorism certainly isn't limited to verbal threats. but to me, there is a difference between a general definition of the word and the legal definition. ofcourse, the legal definition will be more specific in a sense and would constitute a higher crime than let's say assault and battery during a riot. but that is NOT to say that assault and battery(or more specifically battery) cannot be considered terrorism.as far as eliminating terrorism, i don't think that can ever happen even though there have been measures to cut down on terrorist acts. basically to cut down on terrorist acts in the united states, we have to limit the freedoms of the citizens. and in the united states, they have done exactly this. this just shows me what i always knew would happen eventually where you can't even piss without the government knowing about it and eventually, the country as a whole becoming a full police state if there aren't other measures to control the actions of government control to limit citizens' personal freedoms.

wow. sorry about your accident there! that had to put a cramp in things! you right. posting has become tougher for users ever since the slow and constant decline in active members. i really feel for the old members who never banked enough credits to sustain them if an emergency occurs or if there are no more recent topics to post on. the users i REALLY feel sorry for are the new members because they don't know how things work around here and a little bit more naive in what they are getting themselves in to. i mean, they will post for 1 or two weeks, get about $3 in credit and give up because it's too hard to post when there are very few active members. who keeps this money? XISTO. there should be a fund that xisto puts in the extra mycents from a users dead account if they haven't logged in in over a year or so. this way, when an active user is unable to pay, a decision can be made about that user to see if that user is deserving of xisto to tap in to the reserve fund to help pay for that user ONCE and only ONCE. whether it be to help pay for a domain or help pay for hosting for a month. the users credit balance should go in to the negative but time will allow that user to make up for it and pay back the negative balance which will always allow the fund to retain it's money when a user is getting paid no mycents until they get their account out of the negative.it's exciting to have ideas, and so depressing when those ideas don't become realized. my suggestion is to always keep your goals and your dreams, never give up even if you have unexpected things happen in your life to prevent you from working on them from time to time. start with one idea first. your most promising idea that you will be the most motivated in. build it in to something slowly and gradually where time permits. eventually, over time, your site can sustain itself where you will have the time to start working on one of your other ideas.again, i am really sorry about hearing about your accident but i really admire you for not just sitting around doing nothing, but thinking about your dreams and how to accomplish them. you made the best out of the situation and i admire that. keep your head up, follow through with your dreams, and i am sure you will have some of the realized one day. good luck bud!

actually, neither option is a good one. i suggest highly that you write a support ticket. you have 5 days to clear this issue and a support ticket will be the fastest way.with that said, you brought this upon yourself. you haven't been around in a while and stopped posting so i would also suggest to you that you make it a habit to come here at least once a week to post on a few recent topics like sheepdog does.personally, i don't think they will allow negative credits in your xisto account for domain names. if it was just for hosting, that could be a different story since it would cost xisto less out of pocket to support your debt. so i would go on the assumption that your domain will not be renewed unless you find a way to pay for it.SO! you can pay through paypal, or you can start posting a crap load of posts in the next 5 days and hope the script runs on time to credit your account in full.with all this said, what *I* would do, is write an immediate support ticket. in the meantime while you are waiting for a response,(good luck. it's the weekend and they RARELY respond to us mycents users on the weekend) find an alternative method of payment if you want to keep your domain.i don't have experience in this issue, but even if your domain goes expired, you don't lose it fully. you have one month to claim it but there is an extra fee associated with claiming a domain that has already been expired. after this 1 month limbo state, usually a domain will be qued for auction. this is the point where you can either bid on your domain and hope you win the auction, or take a chance that nobody will want it, and buy it back for the regular price if nobody bid on it.if i am wrong in this domain process, someone please correct me because i was never 100% certain what happens to a domain after it is expired and i don't want to give out false information. so that was my disclaimer

i can understand this whole boycott thing, but leaving the site wont work because too many people depend on their hosting. BUT! having each member post on long post in why they think this forum has gone downhill and what we, the mods, and admins can do to save this forum, might work as long as we all ONLY post our rants, raves, and suggestions. that way, we can collect our mycents, and there would be absolutely NO CHOICE but to be heard. new users would see what all the newest topics are about, and it will force the admins to start playing a more active role in their positions, or it would at least force opaque to put trust in another admin who can fullfill that position alot better than buffalohelp, and recruit new mods who actually log in every day. times are changing and this forum needs to change with the times. i would be up to help organize that. what i wont be up for is telling new users to go somewhere else or, stop posting for a week. things like that wouldn't help the forum in the long run. or even as something small as getting the top 20 active people to have the same status message at the same time. that could be a start and see how THAT goes first since status messages appear on the main page where it would be hard for anyone to ignore. you are one of a few who catch this. your correct. it is a redirect to "the ninja forum" which is a pretty active forum. if you take a closer look, you will notice that Xisto has it's own category in the form and is a direct link to the forum you see here. i talked to opaque about it a while back but i forget what happened specifically. i think the owner of the ninja forum put this forum on his site as a category without telling opaque. when opaque discovered he did this, opaque did the same in return. we get a lot of visitors from that forum believe it or not. i think opaque also mentioned that he is friends with the owner of that forum. it was an intresting story when he was talking about it with me. unfortunately, i forgot most of it haha mahesh 2k is incorrect though. opaque IS affiliated with not only this site, but with a select few member sites on Xisto's main page. there are screen shots of members websites with a link that when you click on the screen shot, it will take you directly to the members page. opaque never asked for a link exchange or requested a link back from the members who are on his main page. i however had a link to the old Xisto before my website got posted on his main page. i think mahesh has over looked this part of Xisto so i hope i refreshed his memory a little bit. how do you get your website on the main page? there is a thread floating around where members were requested to upload a screenshot and post the link to their webpage. ost people who did this, got their site submitted on the main page of Xisto. this is how you would go about affiliating yourself and your site with Xisto if you are interested. i don't have the link to the thread off hand, but it shouldn't be hard to find since there are only 2-3 categories it would have originally been posted in. seek and ye shall find. if you want to see what i am talking about, go to Xisto.com, wait for the annoying flash to load, enter the site, and look at the bottom o the main page. there you will find about 7 screen shots of members' sites. doing this wont hurt your site. i have recieved some visits from his page by adding my site but most of my site visitors that come from Xisto are from my forum posts which has my signature. nothing beats a a signature on a popular forum. now you might be saying that you don't see this forum as that popular because there are not that many posts in a day to dictate that this forum is popular. this is where you are wrong since there are a TON of guests who visit every day through search engines. they don't post. they don't sign up as members. they are just looking for information. thus....the appropriate name change from Xisto, to Xisto. also, at one time we had the option of being affiliated with Xisto through profit sharing with thanks to kontera and the ads you will see on the forums when you are NOT logged in. ever since we switched to the newer version of the forum software, the code for profit sharing here was never added back. which in my opinion is ok since i would rather see some of the profits go to keep webhosting low through mycents.

i think your lucky to have experienced that close relationship with someone, adell. some people don't find a friend like that, in a lifetime. i grew up with two sisters though. so did you. so to compare your friend to a sister is really not doing it justice as you and i both know. it was actually a pretty good post or short story about the relationship you had once, but at the end, you ruined it all by wishing she never moved to america. basically, what you were wishing was selfish and not thinking about your friends' best interest at all. to me, best friends don't think selfish.life is give and take so there is a flip side in anything. just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.
