  1. It seems the younger generation seem to be more tech savvy. For example, students at school whilst I was attending Primary school in the mid 90s tend to be more smarter on tech-savvy products and learning products. Computers are a blatantly obvious example, with most students tend to know more about computers than "most" teachers, especially the older teachers. But when it comes to the programming side of things, yes, obviously younger people and those in their 20s or even early 30s tend to know a lot about code, the backend and how the programs/applications (especially on the internet side of things), work.
  2. I would strongly suggest studying and researching the topic, rather than asking for pre-completed papers buddy . You learn a lot more that way.
  3. Have to say swimming is pretty exciting (apart from the usual favourites eg Basketball, Soccer, Cycling events) considering the sport's competitive events isn't a week in week out basis like the team sports of all types (eg Football, Basketball, Baseball and the like).
  4. Not a big follower of the Yankees at all to be honest. But definitely like the Lakers back in the days when I was playing basketball on a regular basis in my younger days, those days I was really into b-ball. I still like to watch basketball now and maybe have the social game or two every week, but since no longer play at a competitive level. But as for the lakers, Kobe Bryant is still one of the favourites still playing today. Past, have to say Shaquille O'neal, Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Slater Martin upon others.
  5. Interesting to see how that goes. I personally dont think McCain has a chance, but a good step otherwise in the unlikely event of him getting power. Considering the number of females in politics in the western world nations those days.
  6. American Airlines iirc has a habit of leaving their planes aluminium, only deciding to put the decals and the logos on their planes today, even the newer Boeings. Airbus on the other hand, may have had a few planes painted white due to the different assembly of the Airbus planes. I personally think that leaving the plane silver does tend to save a fair bit of fuel and weight, although it doesnt seem to make planes look attractive. I remember Air Canada trying to leave one of their planes unpainted for a while, only deciding to paint the tail in the usual maple leaf. It wasnt a popular decision considering the outrage by the Airplane nuts, and the observations by the general flyers.
  7. I personally think world politics does play a role towards an event where the World Athletes and Sportpeople are meant to get together under the spirit of "harmony", olympic spirit, etc, which as China has shown this year, or even the 1980 Moscow Olympics where a number of western nations decided to boycott the games. At the same time, there has been controversy about drug cheats, the use of technology and the like as awell, which does seem a bit sad considering what technology has done for sport over the years.
  8. Have to agree, that Spain really did put up a good fight in the Gold Medal final of the Basketball. But at the same time, I'm thinking Team USA might've taken Spain a bit lightly there, thus Spain suprising them a fair bit and making the USA earn their win, which is something that Team USA is not used to in Basketball. At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if a few talent scouts go after a few of Spain's players for the NBA. But I dont know much about the Spanish Basketball team to make a further comment
  9. Have to say there are countries that idolise their sport. in Australia, Cricket is the national summer game, but in winter, many football codes take up the spectators watching time. New Zealand, across the Tasman on the other hand is a definite rugby-crazed country, whilst at the same time really passionate about their rugby team, the All Blacks.
  10. Tried tea, don't mind it. But like most others, I find coffee more addictive, considering the caffeine levels may vary between coffee and tea.
  11. KFC in Australia at least uses Chickens from other retailers such as Inghams and so forth. Then they cook the chicken to the original recipe and/or hot and spicy recipe from there.
  12. The Simpsons has made more classics over the years. But have to say Family Guy for the fresh and newer material.
  13. Seems like a good idea, although teams and fans may seem to get agitated if it takes too long for the video umpires/instant replay to decide on a decision if its "too close" to call.
  14. There seems to be already services where its reverse charges. You call from a public or someone elses phone using the numbers of the particular service provider, then using the number you want to ring. Of course, the person on the other ends needs to consent to being charged for the reverse charge call.
  15. The same could be applied to Australian Rules Football if we use that logic on other local sports. But overseas some countries may play either American Football or Australian Football for example, obviously due to being introduced by ex-pats of those countries, for example. But every sport has a beginning, so obviously any new sports wont take off that fast, although its not possible for a sport to become popular in the future.
  16. Have a look through your directories for any particular folders either called "Saved" (or close to it), or a folder with the file extensions of *.sav would be my bet. This is only a guess though. Apart from that, Prince of Persia (I) and Prince of PErsia (II) were pretty good games to play. Used to remember playing PRince of Persia (I) back when I was a kid back in Primary School.
  17. Basically the service onboard the planes are starting to get slightly cut back in line with rising fuel costs. Although the "gap" between a full-service airline and a "low-cost" airline is still pretty huge. For example, the low cost airlines in Europe generally only provides water and charge for soft drinks/food, whilst the full-cost airline may provide the free food/free drinks, but may charge for any extra drinks/food after that.
  18. Using that logic, thats just like saying that the United States of America is a "part" of Great Britain, although not all of the USA was under British control back in the 1800s. Also, should some asian countries be part of one another? considering World War I and World War II back in the early 90s.
  19. The Dream Team imo. No ifs, no buts. Their talent is simply too good, not to mention most of their players play in the best basketball league in the world, the NBA.
  20. People doing silly stunts just to annoy people, to be honest, is annoying. But if they stuff up which may injure them in some way, then that is their own fault, and they would have to learn from it.
  21. Have to agree that is in poor taste of leaving the medal or "putting" it on the ground 'in digust' instead of wearing it around the neck and having to bite the dissapointment if they were aiming for a Gold Medal.
  22. Just a suggestion, some tend to take the steps of changing their mobile/cell phone number in a step to prevent those unwanted calls from those continuing to call them.
  23. Grats on your 1000th forum post. Good to see a fellow forum member making themselves at home. I echo the sentiments of others that Xisto forums is a second home for some of the posters here, whether if they are hosting a site now, or have hosted a site in the past but moved on to paid hosting, yet continued to post on the forums. And of course, many of us does have the common interest in web development and most things "internetz", especially with many phrases related to the internet coming around now, esp in MMORPGS like "You sir win the internetz!"
  24. He should've taken it and bite the bullet. Even if the ref went against him, and/or a decision was blatantly wrong. It would be found out eventually.

    Russia

Seems the update is that Russia is slowly pulling the tanks out of Georgia, but I havent heard the entire story to know why they even sent military intervention (rather than invasion) into Georgia in the first place. Some people I did know though sorta reminded them of the old "Soviet Union" days.
