Eh, have to agree that most guys wouldnt mind if she did ate in bed. But if the food stayed there for like, say a few days and it rotted. It would be of some concern due to Hygiene reasons. Of couse she could've had a illness or other reasons that may have forced her to eat in bed, or she did have it earlier but was a bit lazy to get out of the habit. Would've been interesting if she was still around today.

Russia Warns Usa/europe Russia Threatens to Attack Europe
arnz replied to Acidify's topic in General Discussion
Reading only some of the thread, this seems to be more on emotion. Have to agree that a president should really be a diplomatic ambassador which isnt the case with the Russian president. Thankfully the parliament may be able to vote to knock a proposal such as that back. -
Celeb's Real Names Some of them are extremely funny
arnz replied to Adam_Hammil's topic in General Discussion
Very interesting indeed. I thought it may only be a handful, but that list seems to outline heaps of celebs that have changed their name to their stage names for the sake of it! Some of them of course had european or asian names depending on heritage, but would've thought they at least used part of their names in their stage name! But I'd ill admit some of the stage names aint bad, eg Cat Stevens and Mr T, Carlos Ray aka Chuck Norris and even Rip Torn (IIRC from the Men in Black movies). -
While it may sound like a 'cool' job. It would be something I would not be sticking around in, especially when it comes to staring at the screen most of the time. Yes, office workers, those in IT may also be staring at a screen as well, but in their cases some of the tasks may be for clients or important tasks (eg deadlines for accounting reports). Getting back to this job here, It may or may not be repetitive, depending if the testing co-ordinators decided to put on different video games in periods, if its on a pattern, or its the same game most of the game, yes it can get a bit 'boring'.

I've sorta remember stuntman back in the old days. But it'll be sort of interesting when it comes out shortly, as I dont mind those type of games (simulation eg Theme Park) where it may be combined with another mode. Which may be the case with Stuntman having to drive cars down the track.

Kinds of remind me of the old days on N64. It's good to hear that this is still around, not much has change but just a update of the lvels. Newer games indeed may be more flashy graphicswise, but in a fair amount cases, sequels or follow-ups don't usually live up to the hype of the original incarnation.

Theres one poster at another forum that I usually browse, which he usually asks questions that are unanswerable (For example; Qantas flying from Melbourne to Hong Kong. He then proceeds to ask, will the flight be successful? will Qantas introduce a 2nd daily flight?). Which in many peoples thoughts is a bit too early to ask! While it's good to see a few aviation and airliner nuts around, and he gets ahead of itself and is pretty much gullible at believing anything he reads those days (even on not so reliable sources such as Wikipedia).

Our City Take Part In "no Car Day" In September 22nd
arnz replied to faund's topic in General Discussion
Interesting that taxis over there are CNG powered. Unfortunately the majority of the cars down under run on unleaded fuel or premium unleaded fuel. Some may use LPG, but thats about all. Although it is a slight improvement in the mid to late 90s where some cars were still running on the old 'Super' based fuel, even a minority was on diesel at the time. Fortunately though the only diesel vehicles are trucks, Heavy Rigid, and most early model and long distance buses. -
A Note To All My (ex) Friends Dont take it personally...
arnz replied to jlhaslip's topic in General Discussion
LOL @ above. But as for the OP, I may not know ya, but I dont mind you. Looking forward to any discussions ahead that we may run into at some point. -
Mortal Kombat 3 or 4 for me...Also the Doom series, there was the difficulty of Easy, Normal, Hard and Respawns (or if it reminds me, the jack bauer joke.. Easy, Normal, Hard and Jack Bauer). Pretty much no one could beat the game on Respawns/Jack Bauer.

I wouldnt mind doing most things, but when it comes to extremes, it depends on the case. There are some obvious ones I would say no to (eg very undrinkable water that it makes you sick, and schemes that can hurt, eg Left private part, finger, whatever). I dont mind some harmless extremes, but those that may harm, well no way.

Our City Take Part In "no Car Day" In September 22nd
arnz replied to faund's topic in General Discussion
Interesting to see the Country does that, but a strong suggestion nonetheless. Especially with the buses and trains still running, with the former still consuming fuel for obvious operational reasons. At least the newer buses down here is powered on Compressed Natural Gas, I dont know whether if China has CNG or some sort of clean environmental alternative powering the buses. -
Seems the majority of us uses Google, Myself included. Beforehand I used Altavista, and redesearch (which had many search engines combined into the one page). I just find it a shame the later went when Google rose to prominence, but I dont mind google.. and I even got a email address with them (Google).

Full article here. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I know it's a bit late, but I'd have to say that in this day and age it seems fear and terrorism has entered many those days to an extent that funny stunts or antics seem repressed. But have to say that one of the hosts dressed as Osama Bin Ladin was funny at first, if he was near GWB's hotel he could've gotten killed. But at the same time, some viewers have outlined their points, for example there are many that pointed out numerous times in the papers the holes in security during the world event when many of the world leaders descended on Sydney, also let alone the protesters in the near vicinity of the location. I also tend to agree with other callers pointing out that the money spent on security could've been better spent elsewhere, like hospitals, transport, addressing water issues in parts of the country, and so forth.

Do Playing Violent Video Games Turn Their Players Violent?
arnz replied to rayzoredge's topic in General Discussion
Only going from one side of things, video games are indeed seen as relaxation, stress relivers and the like. Even myself, I've been through games which are graphic and the like, but in general I'm a bit busy to think about the violence and the like. But as many others on here, and elsewhere said, some use it as a excuse for violence in RL. Besides, younger people shouldnt be exposed to violent type of games that early, yet imo. Maybe down the track, but not while they are in primary school. Parents should at least have some control or watch what their younger kids may be playing. -
Have to say FIFA for me, although I've seen very little of Pro Evolution soccer. Might look into Pro Evolution more when I have the time.

While there are many that are tempting like the ability to fly (explore the world, cool air or just a love of flying), invisibility (see bits where you never seen before.. no, not THAT FAR:P), super strength but minus the kryptonite (Superman anyone?), melt into liquid (alex mack anyone?). I'd have to say the ability to stop time, like on the Simpsons halloween episode where Bart and Millhouse gets a stopwatch that 'stops' time, and where they get to mess around with things before continuing time. Furthermore there has been TV shows where some hero has to stop a particular event from happening, I cant remember the name of the show, but the story of the show is where a bloke gets 'tommorow's' newspaper.. Today.

Have to agree, tough one.. but I'd have to say travelling the World. I may have visited parts of Asia and the USA/Canada already, but would really like to visit parts of europe such as France, Greece, Italy, Ireland and even England. The later 2 have a strong sporting culture and all, even though England tends to lose a lot . But the countries I already visit, the big ones (by size) there are other parts of your world I wouldnt mind visiting, eg San Franscisco, Vancouver, and Miami for example. Also parts of Asia, eg Japan, and Kuala Lumpur.Apart from travelling, maybe go for a drive around the place, or even in the bush.

Read another theory that there will be another version of Noahs Ark where its a chosen person or group builds another boat and its a flood/tsunami of some proportions. TBH I dont what to believe anymore, although my family is a non-practising catholic (eg Attend church only once-twice a year - those occasions being at Christmas and/or easter). So yes, there are many theories, but all are not that convincling.

PhpBB or Invision for me. I'm more used to the InvisionFree version of the Invision Power Boards, its slightly simple but more easier to use as a user and as a admin.

Have to say some suspense movies when I was a kid. Jaws for one when I was about 3-4, and the sharks jumping out of nowhere. Aliens, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park 1 and 2 and the like in the cinemas were also tense stuff. Did grow out of it eventually, esp around the time Independence Day and Men in Black came out, it just wasnt scary anymore yet the movies were still enjoyable enough to watch.

There has been many religions over time, especially some that send the same message about god, but in many many variated religions (eg Christianity, Catholic, Jehovahs and so forth). But also, there has been the theory about the "big bang" that started life on earth and so forth. There can be many questions asked if there is a god, why is there sickness, poverty and war in the world, and the like. But I wont go further there. So yes, Its easy to believe in a religion, but creationism? There needs to be something or someone to create something as one of the previous people said. There cant be something popping out of thin air.

While exercise can be good, you cant expect to lose weight by eating junk food and exercising as well. I'm not sure about metabolism rates, but for me I really gotta watch what I eat as I do tend to slack off a bit, especially after work for a Beer (and maybe order chips/pies with it). But yes, while I also dont mind drinking soda, I drink water heaps as well. Balance helps. :XD:

Whats Your Favorite Thing To Do? What is it?
arnz replied to SharpShooter22's topic in General Discussion
Out of schedule, its either playing RPG games like Guild Wars, World of Warcraft and so forth. There is also listening to music, heading to the pub for a drink after work, or even getting together with a football every now and again. I used to play basketball, football and the like when I was younger after school, with some many fellow students gathering around for a game as well. Today, some students still do that, but not as much as the days in the mid to late 90s. Those I do see while walking or driving past, it brings back memories of my younger days.
