  1. Music in webpages that play over and over again, it slows the site down. Myspace is pretty bad for this tbh, hence the lag and slow loading of various blogs. But then again I dont really visit myspace much, despite the attempts by cousins/friends/etc to encourage me to get one.
  2. Without reading most of the thread, google did provide Yahoo with results for a brief while (before Google eventually became a major competitor and eventually a leader in search engines). I personally think google is more accurate, maybe not perfect.. but pretty accurate.
  3. The later NBA games seemed more realistic graphics wise and offered more ways to dunk, pass and so forth. But have to agree with the above poster about street basketball with the extra tricks and so forth. Didnt mind the dunk contests, threes and so forth either.
  4. Guild Wars wasnt a bad game to play either, a bit of GvG too. ITs interesting how in some early MMORPGs some players lose some equipment for dying and having to work their whole way back up again.
  5. Main site: http://www.warhammeronline.com/ Seems this game going by the podcasts posted is more PvP orientated, with some less PvE. Personally I think many PvPers in MMORRGs (eg WoW, Everquest, Guild Wars, etc) may flock over to have a look, which does seem to look good graphics-wise, and objective wise since its more PvP orientated. I dont many PvErs would come over though, considering WoW and varied other MMORPGs focus more on the PvE/Raid prospect (with PvP tacked on in WoW's case). Edit: It seems BETA sign up has commenced (North America) at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  6. The trial is legit, but considering the recent controversies of "gold farmer" spammers using the CDs. I wouldnt be suprised if tighter controls come over the trial WoW CDs. I agree that WoW can get addictive somewhat when levelling up.
  7. The team of all time, have to say Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Luc Longley (Aussie!) and others back in the mid to late 90s when they basically dominated the league. Also other players include Kobe Bryant, Shaq O'Neill, Hakeem Olajuwon (sp).
  8. Some of the review sites I've visited even still list the providers that seem to either close down, or moved towards other services. Besides, most here would not worry too much about it if they are happy here at Xisto, and i'm sure thats most of us here.
  9. Outland is level 58+ to enter. You can enter at a earlier level, but you will need a mage to port you to Shattrath City (the Capital). Have to say the expansion package overall on the other hand aint bad if you're a hard core gamer, but for the casual gamer that doesnt play that often, it would be a shame if they didnt get up to the point where they can be able to explore bits of Outland (other than Shattrath City).
  10. I always liked to have a go at the electric guitar, but we didnt have the funds to do so, and somewhat was learning the 'recorder' in music class, and piano at the time during primary school. Decided not to continue in high school, but had to say I did learn just the guitar for a while during high school.

    Rape Scenes

I dont mind watching them on TV, although I only see them very rarely. But I agree with what the others said, the actors are mature enough to play the role, and if it is depicted in a fashion which is required by the movie (eg movies based on a true story). I have to agree if it was portrayed in a insensitive or inappropriate way, then I can understand people not being able to tolerate it.Considering the censorship those days, some scenes are usually cut back in some form, and theres not much to freak about - unless said otherwise about insensitive portrayal.
  13. Some may have low blood types, so I guess some may use it as an excuse to not give blood. Furthermore there are those that get tatoos, and as said before by others elsewhere that takes up a bit of blood. There is also religions, eg Jehovahs and so forth with their beliefs regarding blood. As for donation, personally, thats fine when I'm gone, body parts are not going to be required, so I said yes to let whoever have whatever can be reused.
  14. Well asian countries tend to lead the way when it comes to technology, although some brands tend to be overpriced *cough*sony*cough*. Personal Computers or PCs, I'd say its almost equal, considering it was invented in the US but most western countries try to find a way to improve the computer, internet and everything related to it.But in regard to the duplicate PS2, everything does seem to be duplicated those days.. especially popular food brands which seem to be copied by plain-label 'no frills' style brands which is either local (eg Buy Australian - in my case) or built overseas in some other country.
  15. Used to watch the Brisbane Strikers a long time ago in the now defunct NSL, but do keep an eye on the performances of the Qld Roar when they play.
  16. Have to say up to between 1 to 2 hours max, but in 2 or 3 sessions when i get the chance. Any interesting topics or topics that may be worth discussing, then I post and discuss.
  17. Have to say that the US would need the china for trade reasons (eg products and so forth such as pepsi, McDs, and so on). But this is slowly improving with the opening of McDs in limited locations. I cant really say much for the chinese communist type of government, but its seems today is a bit more laid back as opposed to the restrictive/opressive style in the past (eg the student protests).
  18. Always good to take a break from wow every now and again. Makes it easier to go up a few levels before taking a break again.. then spending either the weekend (during the day) leveling the toons up once again. PvP battlegrounds is a breather when ya get sick of questing and/or doing PvE instances such as Zul'Furrak or Gnomeregan.
  19. How things change... with the weeks off work and all.. Everyone going elsewhere instead of the above, So instead.. I guess its fishing most days, with maybe some visits to the pub (pool, bands, etc.. maybe a gamble or 2) and maybe a dip every now and again. If the weather goes hotter than usual due to the likes of El Nina and so forth.
  20. All this shows is the discrepancies when it comes to cases like this. Had this been a male, or even a 'ugly' female no doubt this person would've been locked up for life in prison instead of getting away with a slap on the wrist and fine. As some would say, she'd would've got away by her looks.
  21. Have to say the complaints/dirty/etc coming out of the local fast food outlet pretty much depends on outlet themselves. There has been cases down here where the health inspectors actually had to shut down a branch for a day due to dirty working conditions.
  22. I wouldnt mind pre-made BGs every now and again, considering the Horde side dominates in 4 out of the 5 bgs on offer (since Burning Crusade expansion). Also, the general results in each BG pretty much depend on battlegroup those days, although the Horde dominating the majority of BGs is pretty much the case in most battlegroups. One of the newer groups actually has results reversed (eg Alliance dominating instead).
  23. There can be a good case that it may depend on person too.. A person that uses the mobile a lot of work reasons eg a businessman or so forth can use short cuts to his associates to make things a bit easier, yet go back to standard language when it comes to using the computer, or in social life or so forth. But there are also the lazy types , which tend to use abbreiviations for the heck of it when it comes to a keyboard. I tend to use just proper language when it comes to essays, assignments, work, filling out forms online and the like.. but when it comes to gaming (eg halflife, world of warcraft, and so forth) I dont mind using the short cuts every now and again (eg terms such as gg - good game, qq - whinging term, and so forth)..
  24. I've seen a few cases after where a ball hits a poor persons head, a swollen bump comes up for a few days.
  25. Winter vacation for us down in the southern hemisphere, although Summer does come round christmas. Thus many summer themed chrissy songs too. But as for winter, probably just a drive interstate or so down the North Coast of NSW maybe.
