  1. Ronaldo from Brazil, he was amazing at his peak esp a 2004 game (can't remember whether if it was a friendly or a tournament) against Argentina during a penalty shoot out. Scored all his shots too.
  2. Many of them out there its fairly hard to separate. Theres Jolie, Keria Knightly, Jessica Simpson (although either a complete bimbo, or just playing up for the cameras) Kate Beckinsale, Natalie Portman in the Star Wars series wasnt bad, Catherine Zeta Jones aint bad for her age.Of course, there are completely overated ones such as Paris Hilton, Britney at her prime (before her breakdown). Jennifer Lopez (meh), Avril Lavigne (no thanks).. and there are borderline ones such as Shakira.
  3. Same here, had no idea either re Diablo and mods. But I'll have a look at them when I get the chance, just hope that they are reasonably easy to use.
  4. Usually when theres a special event on, and/or there are the usual football matches. Outside from that, I normally just get to watch it if its for news, or watching a video/dvd for work purposes and the like. Of course, there is youtube, but technically thats the internet :XD:
  5. Personally for me, It'll have to be Bad Boys. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were special as partners in those movies. Although I didnt mind the more commercialised ones such as Independence Day, Men In Black and many varied action movies (inc Terminator 1, 2 and 3), many of em didnt do it for me. Although I didnt mind the James Bond classics, including Pierce Brosnan's Bond movies in the mid 90s.As for romantics and the like, I dont really watch much of those movies, but one notable movie, Titanic, was probably okay in regard to story telling, but I wouldnt put it up there imo considering the many talking and love scenes before the action happened at the end (eg Ship sunk). The Matrix wasnt that bad on original release, but their sequels I felt wasnt really as good as the first one, and looked like it was only released half-effortedly for quick money (commercial reasons).
  6. I would try to make the site as compatible to most browsers as possible. Of course they are some aspects which may seem only workable to the Windows operating system, considering the Microsoft monopoly, but it seems many WYSIWYG editors do try to include test functions to many multiple browsers.
  7. Good luck with your new site, and going by the responses from here, come back from time to time and say hello. It wont hurt to catch up with the community here at Xisto :XD: As you said, many debates will keep ya busy when ya pop in here anyway
  8. There are also some questions that either meant to be not answered, such as "meaning of life", or those that are just intruding on a particular living's life. While it is interesting to know the problem and curiousity may get to a person on how to find the answer, but in some cases, it's better to let life run its course.
  9. Some of them that gave not so flattering reviews either hasnt been there long to form a opinion imo, or either had a busy site that exceeded bandwith (although the later is unlikely). I might look around for other review sites over time and list them on here when I get the chance.
  10. Its up to the programmer on how they want to distribute their program, but on the open v close preference, I'd have to say Open over Close for the reason that you can tinker around and mess around with it, while if you think it may be groundbreaking in a way, it gives you clearance to demonstrate that to potential clients and the like. But yes, close source seems to be a fix and fix untill you get it right and thats it, open source is a program that is released (with some bugs), but leaves things open for improvements, and any useful additions that can be coded into the program.
  11. Male here, 24, in a way self-employed repairing computer parts and doing reinstalls. Have at least done a bit of retail and admin in my time, I dont mind customer interaction, but do get the occasional bad customer from time to time :XD:. As for life, I usually keep that to outside, and balance with online time. Better balanced than having one part (online or life) taking over completely
  12. Well yo-yos do take skill if a person doing it is any good. Also, in a way it does work your hand and finger muscles :XD:.. so yeah, I guess on the account of exercise to the hands/fingers, yo-yo could be called a sport.. I guess.
  13. There are a couple of PVP battlegrounds to compete in between questing, there is Warsong Gulch (First to 3 flags), Arathi Basin (capture the node and defend - first to 2000), Alterac Valley (lv 51+, first to kill the enemy general in a raid) and Eye of the Storm (61+) in which there are some objectives to complete while at the same time killing opposing faction players. Although doing it repeatedly (like questing) may seem a bit boring, it's a good breaker from questing. The only thing about it is that Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm seems dominated by Horde group after Horde group, Warsong can go either way (50/50), and Alterac Valley @ 60 is Horde dominated, Alterac Valley @ 70 is Alliance dominated. I could go on with the Alterac Valley controversies (and Arathi Basin) controversies on how both battlegrounds are not balanced terrain-wise, but that's better left in the WoW forums.
  14. I went from Altavista to Excite to Redesearch to Google as a search Engine. But Yahoo, I normally just use their photo albums, but at some point tried their mail service ages ago. It was up to par with Hotmail in regard to spam protection. I hadnt tried Yahoo's mail service since (I'm pretty happy with Gmail) but only heard reasonably good things about it. Happy Belated Birthday Yahoo!
  15. Visit the University's website, in most cases there are sections devoted to how to apply/admissions, costs of studying for a varied degree and the list of what the university offers. Also, it varies country by country. For example in Australia, we have to apply through a University Admissions Centre (name varies by Australian state) which then assesses you on your abilities, or for recent school leavers their final Writing/Literacy/Maths scores before a particular university can accept the student. I'm not sure about the admission procedures for the other countries as I never had the time to find outBut as others said, still in high school? I would suggest talking to a counsellor which can help and refer you to third parties for any help that you may need.
  16. Guild WarsWorld of WarcraftIn some ways the Warcraft series (III, Frozen Throne, etc) could be counted . Everquest/II wasnt that bad either, but in some ways its a shame it started to wane.and classics such as Ultima Online
  17. Or if you're a non smoker, and near a smoking area with smokers, I would suggest leaving immediately to area where there is less smoke! Inhaling it, or working in a area where its smoke designated also has its effects, considering breathing it does have similar effects to those that smoke, but those smoking still are at more risk for reasons I said in the last post.
  18. You reminded me of swedish, considering that is a swedish word for any form of angry, evil and so forth. Would be good in a MMO game, 8 out of 10. And as for me, it's just a short name of my real name . Rate away.
  19. Presuming that is a Joomla powered CMS site, the item download links seems to use a more simpler link if powered by Joomla/Mambo, but dont turn that option on, and the link is much longer (and coded).
  20. Have to say that I'm not really that big of a fan on 'leet' speak, although the occasional 'leet' picture of everyday things (eg a Bus with the fleet number of 1337) might be amusing at first, but get used to it pretty quickly. Some kids may consider it 'cool', but also combine 1337 speak with SMS speak as well. But have to laugh if one is intelligent and the other is pretty dumb as the example lilemi illustrated in their post.
  21. I'd say that both are at risks in their own ways, but do tend to agree that smokers are the ones much more at risks by the poisonous gases that they are breathing, the external effects of what happens when they smoke more regularly (eg yellow skin, wrinkly skin at a much younger age). But yes, smokers do end short of breath and therefore are a much higher chance of getting lung cancer than non-smokers that are around smokers (either by their own choice, or in unfortunate situations where they may have to work around them).
  22. Have to say the above list is interesting, although many of those names (eg Wayne Kerr, Wayne Kinhoff, Seymour Buttz) are probably used in rather 'old' jokes a lot, especially in schools where some subby teacher doesnt have a roll and passes a piece of paper for the students to write down their names. Some media even use those names, eg the Simpsons episode where Homer Simpson changes his name from Homer Simpson, to.... Max Power (even has a song about it too).
  23. I dont mind most things, but a few things I wouldnt be able to stand is opera, older country music, and teenybopper type music (eg the Backdoor Boys, Spice Blokes, boy bands, girl bands, etc).. But yes, there are a few good bands out there, especially local (Aust) ones eg Powerfinger, Eskimoe Joe, Living End. Also some fairly good USA ones eg Fallout Boy, Limp Bizkit, and the like.
  24. Probably have to say since he was involved (however indirectly) he should be trialed for the lesser charges if he wasnt already. But yes, he would probably be partially at fault whether if they could stop it or not, since something or someone may have caused the accident to happen in the first place (and therefore the source of what started it gets the 'huge' share of the blame).
  25. To keep it a bit short, i'm a believer in rehabilitation, while at the same time in extreme cases some should be locked up indefinitely (if not given the death penalty). I'll still have to sit on the fence regarding the death penalty, although there has been extreme rampages where the police has given the "shoot to kill" order, and I'd have to say I'd agree in the rare case of really extreme cases like that. But yes, there are cases where the accused may be innocent, hence one of the reasons of sitting on the fence re the death penalty.
