  1. The Ball tampering incident in the 2001 South Africa v India test series. Also led to getting rid of a Umpire (Dennis IIRC) in the same way Bucknor was removed. IIRC the third test was considered "unofficial" after India got their 'preferred' umpires in.
  2. I've only played the Halo series on XBOX Live. Although my brother and co tend to play the Wii more, so apart from being on here, MMORPG, work and other things, I'm on the Nintendo Wii.
  3. I could list a number of incidents where the Indian cricket team is unsportsman-like, but I'm not that biased.Gilchrist on the other hand, let's not forget that World Cup where he walked when he wasnt out. Apart from that, Gilchrist has just recently retired from tests, and will be retiring from international cricket all together at the end of the one day series.
  4. Diverse range of posters, although most of em seem to be from the USA and are of the mid to late teens. However there are a fair number of older posters around it seems. I'm in my mid 20s for example.
  5. I'd stick with XP for now. If it's not broke and/or most programs can still operate on it, I'll keep with it. Also, waiting till the Vista bugs are found and sorted out. It wasnt too long ago about the Windows ME (aka Windows 98 Third Edition) debacle where many users downgraded back to Win98SE (Windows 98 Second Edition) within a week or two of installing Win98TE (aka Windows Me)
  6. Have to say it'll be close, but it would be a stalemate. It's not fun speculating about a war, but points that were brought up by another poster. China, does however have a lot more population than the United States/North American continent. The baby restrictions however was brought into China to control population I'll agree there. Both indeed have powerful Army forces. Both have different types of governments, esp in China when it was heavily a communist state before some restrictions were eased down a bit, considering the Beijing Olympics is not too far away. However, that didn't stop the USA from waging War on Iraq over the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" controversy. Considering GWB was originally after Bin Laden before the Iraq debacle. I hadnt followed this one much, although I do remember the Airline naming controversy where the major airlines had to create a separate subsidiary for flights into Taiwan, but I'd have to agree they will eventually sort things out, whether if its lateral or through other means (even if it does degenerate into a war for a little bit :\)
  7. People love to come to America for a holiday, especially those from other developed nations.. such as England, NZ, Australia, China, etc.. even Canada lol. But I'd have to say when it comes to the world of sports, many would have to agree that arroganace of the winning time urks many people. So therefore its natural in many sporting events where the yank dominate for the spectators and supporters of opposing countries to hate em.As for the politics/war sides of things, thats another story. I'm sure the other posters has gone in depth about this, especially the events of World War I, World War II and the Cold War with the old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), or also known back in the day as "Soviet Russia" by many in the 80s.
  8. Maybe so, but in various religions, let's not forget Noah's Ark. 'God' told Noah and family to make a ark and to herd the animals inside there to prepare for the "great flood". IIRC, reading this, people laughed at him for making a ark and for him preaching. Even though that part of the earth was "destroyed", but was done through a "natural disaster" (which is initiated by 'God' according to the religions) to cleanse that part and to start over again
  9. Except those days, there is a fair bit of controversy about internet chats, messengers and the like. It was controversial enough to an extent that MSN shut down their former MSN Chat, chatroom service, which IIRC at the time was one of the most popular sites on the internet. However, there were also other reasons for chat shutdowns, such as programmers getting into their servers on mIRC via a programmed script, even though chat sites werent allowing them through the TOS or something. But since the shutdown of MSN Chat, you'd be suprised at the amount of MSN-like chat clones that are around today.
  10. Great to see the Indians break the Australian winning streak once again, and it seems that the Aussies didnt bat as well as they liked. Also to note that they also missed Matt Hayden through injury. But yes, you gotta hand it to India for wanting the victory in Perth more, and keeping their reputation is the bogey team when the Aussies are on a run, as shown by the Australian tour of India in 2001 when the 2001 Indian team back then broke the Waugh-led Aussie's winning streak.
  11. Command and ConquerCommand and Conquer Red AlertDuke Nukem 3DWolfenstein 3DDoom, Doom II and its Sequels.Theme ParkTheme HospitalRollercoaster TycoonRollercoaster Tycoon IIRollercoaster Tycoon IIIEverquestWorld of WarcraftNot in any particular order, although WoW is what I mainly play, followed by Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. Simulations and RPGs are pretty good games, although I gotta laugh at RP dedicated servers as opposed to just standard PvE (Player v Enemy) and PVP (Player v Player) servers.
  12. That's New Zealand. I believe the kiwis are really passionate about their Rugby down there. Also the only sport that they can beat the aussies at *tongue in cheek*
  13. I have to agree to some extent, although I do regularly check email, messenger, etc every time I log on for messages and the like before going onto other sites for personal uses (from 2nd jobsearch, forums, gaming sites, hobby sites) and the like. I agree though that the recent increase in Blogs of late has gotten people to get on and tell em about what they may have done (eg I went to Joe Bloggs place and we maked out) and the like. But there are indeed some things on the blogs which could've either been private among a few friends, (eg password protected and/or buddy list only blogs), or better not posted if the ppl involved ended up getting "paid out" or "ripped" by complete strangers that they dont know
  14. Speaking of Lara, I remember his Brian Lara cricket game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive back in 94. Followed by Warnie's version of the game. Those were good versions of the game back in the mid 90s. Especially editing the names around and all.
  15. Synchronised swimming I'd have to agree with as the most boring sport to watch. BUT I'd have to say after a couple of drinks and pizza/pies, yes It's funny to watch and do a couple of funny pisstakes pretending to be like em..
  16. Seems the tour will still continue after all, pending Harby's hearing. But yes I'd have to agree that they need to hear both sides, so if players from both sides do get suspended (provided that sufficient evidence was put into place). Then both sides would have to accept the final umpire's decision, and in a scenario in which that happens (where players involved from both sides are suspended) and India still boycotts/cries/etc, they'd would be seen as bad sports otherwise.
  17. Have to say that Amazon and Ebay have to be the most used shopping/auction sites in Australia, no doubt about it. There are of course e-commerce shops based in Australia, but not really as popular as those 2 sites.
  18. That, or eventually get overthrown by a leadership spill if things dont go their way, like Keating did to Hawke in the late 80s/early 90s.
  19. Except the Umpires in test cricket those days have to be neutral, there hasnt been a home umpire in a test since the changes. Although yes, the decisions could at least been reviewed in the most controversial of test matches.
  20. The above solutions does tend to work on some food oils/stains etc onto clothing or table clothes or any form of cloth.
  21. I dont mind my eye colour tbh. But if I had to change it, i'll prolly change it to blue. No specific reason, just the first color that came into mind at the time of posting this post . I'm not too fussed, although many would say a change of hair colour would be needed to match the blue eyes (that would mean changing the eyebrow color too it seems ).
  22. Seems this would be better suited in the games section. I'll check it out, although the website doesnt seem to show much of the game, and/or BETA screenshots yet. Reading the objectives it seems a bit like the old Command and Conquer type series of games combined with the characters usually found in other MMOs. For your sake lets just hope the game doesnt turn out to be a fizzer! Good luck with it.
  23. Nice to see the Tendulkar the world knows and loves take it to the Australians. Have to feel for young Johnson, it would be a learning curve for him though. Would be interesting to see what they do with the bowling lineup considering young Tait (which is another pacemen of pure fast pace) is only breathing down Johnson's neck. Good to see Lee bowl well to take a 5fer this time around to remove the Indian nightmares of years ago, considering it was 3 or 4 years ago when he got tonked for 276 runs for 4 wickets in the last test against India (and resulted in Lees dropping not too long after all those years ago).
  24. Interesting to see that Singh has bowled really well in the second test, especially after breaking the Ponting and Hussey partnership that was going on this morning, and managed to cause a middle order collapse. Although wraps has to go to Symonds, batted really well to bring Australia back into the game (despite a controversial decision earlier). Also had batting support with spinner Brad Hogg, which although Hogg can bat a bit, he isnt considered a "proper" all rounder. Symonds can also "bowl" a bit as well, but in recent times is considered mainly as a batsman.
  25. Not me. Just a quiet one this year, prolly be at home with a few beers with next door and reflecting on the year and looking to the next year ahead. 2007 was an okay year, but had just as many downs as I had ups. So quite frankly I'm just hoping the next year is better than the last.
