  1. I will try out the Opera portable sometime this week and see if the issue exists on it... it's most probably just an issue with Opera on Windows XP...
  2. didn't read your response properly... that's a brilliant idea
  3. FREE ONLINE COD Modern Warefare 3 is avaliable to China users... although you would still have to purchase the Actual Game
  4. exactly... and that's why i said there's a lag problem... yordan seems to think otherwise - that's its a VM issue
  5. the thing is - what Opera reports is just a standard "Error Connection to Remote Server" displayed on page... and no detailed information on it... this comes up when there is no internet connection as well... so it's hard to tell what the problem is really...
  6. i think i can push it even more if i upgrade my cpu... currently using on of the lowest dsnf bridge G620... it is a real bottle neck at the moment...
  7. slowness on Virtual Machines depends on the hardware running the HOST machine... don't tell me that all your VMs runs as smoothly as your HOST OS? I have installed and played around with variety of OSes on VM... it's not as smooth as running it with a direct install to the hard-drive... For instance, I'm currently using Windows XP Professional with VMware Workstation 8... i tested LinuxMint 13 on VMware Workstation and i notice its lagging a bit here and there... when i did a fresh install to dual boot with my XP Pro it runs like a breeze and was pretty quick too...
  8. very unusual to see this issue happening to only two out of the millions using Opera lol... i was surprised to find that i've never come across anyone with this issue until this post...
  9. so you're saying that running a Guest OS will be no different in performance (including lags) then actually installing it on the drive itself? I think the opposite, unless the Guest OS access the hard-ware directly - there's no way it will perform as good, but then mind you Windows 8 Preview isn't a fully stable OS yet
  10. hehe quite true... i presume it would run alot better if it is installed on hard-drive
  11. wow finally someone who's experiencing the same issues as me and YES Chrome is was better than Opera... but i'm so use to this Browser, it's hard to leave it lol... Chrome is the shizz for shurrre... just don't wanna leave Opera - hopefully the next update would fix it (Whenever that is)... and as you mention Quatrux, this problem started appearing around version 11, i have no idea why... even guys on My Opera haven't replied to post there... ????
  12. ended up upgrading to a GTX 460 1GB GDDR5 running Crysis 2 on High Settings
  13. i hated that mouse... mind you i hated that mouse... i quite often hit the back/forward buttons which sits on side of the mouse just above where the thumb sits (right-handed)
  14. seen some mice with so many buttons it looks really weird but probably for a Gamer or whatever specific purpose the particular users it is aimed for would be find it nice... for me three buttons is enough...i had a mouse that came with a laptop i use to own few years back (a ASUS G1S or GS1)... it had 5 extra buttons - these were1. back2. forward3. alt-tab alternative4. & 5. Zoom
  15. Microsoft Laptop mouse - $5 hehe awesome for my Gaming lol
  16. googling would provide variety of options... although a lot of these FREE FPS aren't as good as the paid ones.... i have tried some FREE FPS on Linux and they seem ok (as FREE Games)
  17. COD - MW3 is probably my favourite FPS although in my opinion the BEST ever FPS game is DOOM - it was way ahead of its time when released... and also was a big boost for FPS gaming...
  18. I've just got hold of COD - MW3 and man it is awesome... not really much of a gamer but decided to test my PCs performance... have done 30% of the single player campaign... highly recommended game, although my 9600GT wouldn't be ideal if you are running it on high resolutionso i'm thinking of grabbing a HD 7750 Silent edition... i'm so use to my 9600GT Passive cooled (QUIET)
  19. Apparently Windows Phone 8 won't be running on old Windows Phone 7 Device gsmarena.com/heres_why_current_wp_phones_wont_get_windows_phone_8-news-4442.php
  20. just out of curiousity, why are you using this connection method? or what circumstances are you in to have the need for this connecting via your phone? cheers
  21. I use to set my computer on a network connection initiated boot-up mode.... because Computer 1 acts as a Router... i wanted to make sure when Computer 2 is turned on (which is connected directly to computer 1 via Cat5 cable) Computer 1 must be on as well... Now everything runs on Wireless... and a small Router handles all this
  22. are you saying it can hold 60 copies of the web? i'm sure the web is way more than 120million Gigabytes by now
  23. i don't think its a network issue... i've just tried making a post here on Opera and it seem to take forever to reload page... so i refreshed it, and reposted the same thing... while i was waiting for the page to reload back i fired up Chrome and paste my post there on same thread... it went through with no problem... so i'm pretty sure its an Opera issue... just hoping to see if someone had similar experience and a fix for it...even sometimes on youtube videos don't load, unless i press the refresh button (on Opera) while chrome has no such problem... this doesn't mean it happens to every page/video i load... maybe every 15 or so...
  24. agree totally... i can't imagine how i can cope without the Internet, it has become part of our normal daily lives... it's just like how i find it hard not to have my cell phone with me all the time hehe
