  2. i think by default (NAT) this should already be linking to the hosts Ethernet, I've used virtual box before and it automatically sets this.... but maybe I'd have to setup something manually to link VBox to the network card itself? like how i have to set VBox users for USB to function
  3. so that's what the make command does... it makes sense now to me...
  4. quite true... i think he is using both names but yea i never knew snoop lion was his alias as well

  7. My first eva email account was with Hotmail... back then everyone uses msn for chatting so all my friends had hotmail account to use with msn... now msn can be used with any email account, but unfortunately there's a lot of other messenger tools available now... and also when Gmail first came out like 10 years ago they were only invites only because they started with the 1GB email space and increasingnow i've been using Gmail for that long i don't think i would ever use hotmail again...

  10. thanks Q, this looks like a good option - but i'd probably still have to backup just incase
  11. thanks yordan, i was looking in to that... but then i stumbled upon ntfs-config Gui tool... quite simple and works... fstabs requires a few more steps of finding partitions/ids etc hehe... i did use to play around with fstab and the bootlist (or menulist can't remember correctly) file before like few years back when my netbook was running LinuxMint/Fedora
  12. I'm trying to figure out how to make my disk drives or partitions automatically mounted when i start up Linux MintcheersPlatform: LinuxMint 13 Cinnamon

  14. So I've decided to head back to LinuxMint, just did a fresh install of Mint 13 Cinnamon... all i can say so far is - AWESOME :)very slick and well laid out... as always the LinuxMint dev team has done a marvelous job on this one (i haven't tried the MATE version to compare)
  15. I'm trying to install Xubuntu 12.04 64bit on my PC dual booting with Windows XPtried three times and keep getting [Errno 5], also checked the image and its fine, i'm installing it from USB... i currently don't have a CD drive so can't try that optionFirst i created the bootable USB with Universal USB Installer and that didn't do anything (just stuck on try/installation menu on bootup), so i used Unetbooting which game me the [Errno 5]... now i'm gonna try another tool... (googling)anyone had success on installing 64bit Ubuntu (Xubuntu) from USB?
  16. thanks yordan... will give it a shot soon
  17. Is it possible to extend my C partition just by using one of those Partitioning programs from Windows? I think i've done this before where i merged two partitions or shrink one while expanding another...can this be done on the C (System) drive? or does it require a bootable media with some program tool for the task?
  18. we use to call these changes innovation but now it's probably more like crap-ovation or something lol... but then Microsoft has quite a large share on the PC Desktop market so yea they can test user patience with their so called new design-layouts
  19. mind you i think there is (or should be) an option for defaulting classic theme (with start button)... makes the transition to metro less frustrating
  20. i don't think security issue will ever disappear... even Linux have security issues (not as much as Windows) but your comments quite true... change can be a pain (initially) but users will get use to the new Metro - that is of course if everyone won't suddenly change to Linux before Win 8 release
  21. wow... thanks yordan... can also be called super saiyan port
