Guild Wars Recruitment recruitment for my new guild
alperuzi replied to l!nk's topic in Computer Gaming
sorry dude, don't have it... don't wanna get into the MMORPG arena just yet... -
actually if you guys have heard of the Playstation 3 and the Cell CPU, apparently Sony is planning to put a Cell CPU in pretty much everything around the house like a TV, Washing Machine, Fridge...What happens after that is that all these Cells can communicate with each other so you can control the TV from the Fridge etc... but the best thing yet is that you know how the Cell is considered to be a supercomputer by itself with 2 teraflops of computing power... apparently you can then use all these Cell cpus around the house together like a multiprocessor computer if you need the computing power! I would have loved to be able to run SETI@Home on such a machine!

Is Paying With Paypal Safe? your opinion and experiences please
alperuzi replied to Joannespw's topic in General Discussion
I haven't had any problems for more than a year now, however they do charge for pretty much everything you do.You gotta be smart with it though, not believe everything you get in your inbox. Registering paypal through gmail helps a lot since gmail has excelent junk mail filters. -
I would believe that, Apple is making an incredible amount of money through the iPod and therefore also through iTunes which I would guess most iPod users have access to.On the other hand, I've been active in a lot of different p2p communities and have to admit that p2p is going down very rapidly, mostly due to harsh law conditions in countries like the USA. I could also say however, that statistics on p2p network usage can never be accurate. WinMX is still popular, but there are other p2p networks which are waay more popular nowadays, ones which can keep a low profile even with broad usage.

Guild Wars Recruitment recruitment for my new guild
alperuzi replied to l!nk's topic in Computer Gaming
I think he means to actually own a copy of the game because the best thing about Guild Wars is that you buy it once and then have unlimited online play time. This is also a reason why it became so popular, its taking over the mmorpg crown from wow nearly. -
Amd Plans On Owning 50% Of The Cpu Market By 2015
alperuzi replied to LeAnn Rimes My Angel's topic in Hardware Workshop
they seem to be holding back a little and therefore I think they can easily take 50% if they wanted to. They were from what I can see probing Intel for the past few years. The Athlon arcitechture is superior to the Pentium as can be seen by the efficiency: Athlon CPUs run at much lower speeds and still challange their Intel counterparts in every front. AMD could probably release faster CPUs and blow the Pentium out of the market but the repercussions from a giant company like Intel can be in giant proportions too, which is probably why they are holding back. -
Uploading Pictures Uploading with Coppermine Photo Gallery
alperuzi replied to elevenmil's topic in Web Hosting Support
That is a good point, I setup my own coppermine together with SMF, Mambo and Nucleus and although its a pain to upload everything I'm much more satisfied. As for the problem, I would take a look at the permissions for the album and temp folders for coppermine, they should be 777. -
there is no win or lose hereMAC already won when it comes to an OS for computer noobs and looking prettywindows won for being the most widespread because of reasons I still cannot comprehend after 7 years of computers study. But I use it too...Linux won because it is the most reliable OS and is used on the majority of servers.None of them lost.

Your best bet there would be a linux router. The other computers will connect through that router to the net. However its not as easy as this, your modem needs to be able to relay DNS and gateway information, you'll need multiple network cards etc...If you only want to disable some computers then the easiest way is to block their MAC addresses which most modems and routers can do.

Freelancer is also a space based simulation/action/strategy game published by Microsoft some years ago. You play as a freelancer pilot in a universe divided among the germans, british, japanese and the americans. You can choose to fight, or become a trader, or a pirate etc... Its got free online play, and thus has a rather large and dedicated fan base. Its still popular among space sim fans even with games like X BTF and X2 and soon X3.When its the internet in question, you always need to know all the meanings of different things

Turkey: around $1.60 US per litre... for ten bucks I get about 5-6 litres, thats like one tenth of a tank. So consider yourselves lucky...

Yeah, pretty much all of it... that thing is two generations old now. There is a nForce 4, SATA instead of ATA133, PCI-Express instead of AGP Socket 939 instead of A... basically it is outdated...

I actually found out what was wrong... the server is not Xisto.com but rather the IP displayed on your cpanel home screen. After we changed that everything started working.

Can The Warn Level Been Increase Or Removed?
alperuzi replied to guangdian's topic in General Discussion
yup, certainly seems so... I can't see anyone else's either -
niice... well, since there is only a few of these, its for the richest people in the world. And I bet it comes fully furnished etc like in the pictures.I'm most impressed with the "23 foot high curved ceiling", check out the last picture to see what I'm talking about. It basically is a castle... on top of a hotel... in the middle of a city...

Intel and AMD are making dual-core cpus now. But the XBOX 360 CPU is triple core and the system is about 15 times faster than the old XBOX which btw, was a p3 700 as far as I remember. The CELL CPU for the PS3 is 35 times faster than the PS2 so I can foresee that desktop PC CPUs are gonna become much faster as well.

SPOILERS ahead...The movie was good, very good, much better than I&II infact. But I'll have to agree about the speed in which things moved. I mean how they rushed through a dozen things at the end to give the answers to all the loose ends, they should have taken more time for those and less time for battles.Which doesn't mean the battles were not impressive. Just too long. And I couldn't even make sense of the Yoda battle. He falls down, and then "oops, I failed, lets run awaay..." Plus all the other knights and masters, don't they just suck? Palpy dices them in seconds... lame...
