When you download it you upload the entire UPLOAD directory, or similar, to your webspace, then run the SQL file through PHPMyAdmin. The marquee and all the other things round the edge are modules created for the software. I love playing Sim City and the Sims. They are great games that are different from most games on the market. They also challenge you to think, unlike most games today.

I have installed Apache v2 and PHP v5 on Windows XP Home and it is running fine. I used the setups with guided installers as it is far easier. Unfortunately I am stuck with SQLite rather than MySQL as the MySQL installed always freezes on the 'Applying Security Settings' page. I have tried entering a password and leaving the fields blank and it always does it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?

These ads look very similar to the ones used by Google, and unless Yahoo has some discerning factor that makes them far better than GoogleAds, then Google will probably retain most of its users.

That is some very nice work! The rain effect looks very realistic compared to many I have seen previously. I am not really sure what to suggest for the border. My first thought was a mud effect, although I am not sure if this would be easy to achieve, otherwise a simple camouflage border, perhaps with just a shadow or simple embossing could look quite effective.

You can easliy change the colour of the button without using Javascript, although it will still retain the button style. The code, if you are interested, is: <INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Button Text" STYLE="background:#ffff00 none; color:#0000ff"> That would create a yellow button with blue text. I could also looking into using plain text and images if you would like me to.

As I have seen people install Linux on their Xboxes and run large applications I suppose it must have had a large HDD. Some people have put the Xbox hard drives into PCs and they will work. There was a tutorial on the Internet somewhere but I can't find it any more.

I agree that a different font is a good idea, and perhaps slightly larger. Slightly brightening the background and using a blue glow as opposed to white is something you could have a go at. The address in the bottom right is also a little hard to read at a glance.

I agree with HmmZ. Its a well made sig but it doesn't stand out from the crowd. Use the brushes and don't be afraid to experiment with effects.

Even if it does become available in our lifetime it will still be far too expensive for most people to take advantage of it.

I prefer playing strategy games as they challenge you to work things out rather than just shooting anything that appears to vaguely move. My favourite game at the moment is Age Of Mythology: Titans or Rollercoaster Tycoon as they both challenge your mind.

This is amazing. Does this mean they will be able to use this formula to work out a cure for every cancer sufferer at some point in the near future? I wish the scientists the best of luck with further trials and a cure for cancer.

I just don't like the choice of colours, and the choice of two fonts. May I ask what software you are using?

I agree with Yipster that if you have done nothing illegitimate or illegal then you have no reason to go into 'deep cleaning' of your PC. The only reason you would need to do that is if you were selling the system and needed the drive clear, but generally you would just format it. I cannot see a point if everything you do is above board. I only use the old fashioned way, and that is just to save space.

Wow, I don't know how I'd ever fill a 500GB hard drive! I suppose with all applications steadily growing in size I would be able to fill it, along with home movies, music and photos. 4GB of RAM as well, this PC is certainly future proof!

I'm sure theres a way with a .htaccess file to set the default page for a folder. The server will pick up index.php, but not with the variable after it. This may work, although I have never done it with a .php page with a variable. DirectoryIndex index.php?ll=news Just put that in a file called .htaccess and place that in the root of your site, and see if it works.

Thats true, most people don't even look properly at the full spec list, let alone what OS they will be running. Maybe the companies don't like to display the OS too clearly as they are ashamed to use it, but Linux would just confuse users??
