I dont think its fair to say that, time travel is something that many people have thought about, and some time in the future, someone is bound to proove once and forall, that it is or isnt possible, and if it is, one day, unless the world ends before then, we will discover how. Just like a perpetuial motion machine, we would probably still be trying to make one, if newton hadnt proven that its not possible on earth. No, i dont think this topic is atall, movie based, maybe its what makes people think about it, but its not fair to say that it is only visited by movies, time is something (not calling it a something atall, as it probably isnt any kind of thing or event or anything, i dont know)

Hi, im not making this post to ask for help or anything, as i know how to deal with it. Just really, because i feel like sharing what i think, and id like to know what other people think about it. Now, the reason i made this thread, is that earlier today,i was on a friends computer, and it has been completely ruined by viruses, i mean, His desktop background had been changed to an advert for an antivirus programme, and the desktop properties tab for chaning it back was just... not there task manager had been disabled He had about 20 antiviruses programme trials advertisint to him, which installed themselves, and crashed the computer when i tried to uninstall them. His taskbar disapeared randomly, and didnt come back. his applications were constantly interupted by adverts for antivirus programmes I just dont see the point in viruses that do that much damage. most malicious things have a good reason, but apart from advertising an antivirus programme, which there is no way of installing considering the state of the computer, there is no good reason. Most viruses you see comonly, slow you computer, but most wont ruin it? why the step too far? opinions?

But I just spend a lot of time thinking about this kind of thing, so thought i would post my thoughts and ideas, and see what people think.First of all;What do people mean by "time travel"Now, i think most people think of traveling back or forward in time, and being in a certain place at a certain time, in full body, when they think of time travel. But is that possible?But surely time travel could just be seing, history, or future.And how would it work?Surely it would involve opening time, and placing yourself, in that time. Or having a machine, push that time into your head as a vision or thought. And how much energy would this use, surely, it would take huge amounts of ebergy, to open time and space? And would it scar time? Would opening or manipultaing time itsself, destroy physics? What are the concequences?The dangers,Im sure nearly everyone has seen some movie, or something, where someone goes back in time, changes something, goes back to their own time and finds their tiny change, has changed the entire of earth. Would that happen?And would effect would it have on the body?Being pushed through time? Would the sheer shock, or energy kill a human?And what happens when you get there? The average ancient egytian, probably wont be accustomed to seeing a 6 foot tall person, wearing a lab coat, holding a laptop under their arm (possibly not the average person bu anyway..) So, what happens? They will probably be killed. But then, what hapens next, what happens, when the aincient society, finds an electronic device hunreds of year early? Who knows?And what happens to the body while somewhere else, is there any trace of the body in its normal part of time while visiting another time? will just a copy of the person be sent to another time, if so, what happens if/when the copy dies?And imagine what could happen, if terrorists could use time travel. It is often almost impossible to find the hidout of a terrorist on earth, now think, what happens, when not only do you have to find where they are on earth, but also in time. Now, that terrorist can hide, or comunicate, with virtually no chance of being found. Dangerous, and time travel could mean, somepone could go somewhere, and evaluate the security, then go back again, to bomb it, or do something terrible.But think of the advantages.We could find out how the eart came to be, we could meet the first humans, see the first animals.We could visit places in history we have no knowledge of.Any opinions?

i use to play runescape, obsessively, and it took me a long time to finaly realise "why am i paying, to do repetative things, over and over again, day after day, month after month, for no reason, and with no useful outcome?"I still check the website sometimes out of interest, to see how far it hase moved on. But i really dont think it is that great. I must agree, runescape isnt all its cracked up to be. Come to think of it, who cracked it up?

I really think it is bad that people make private servers.Many people, spend lots of time, making these games, and that is their job, its their income, and by making a private server of thier game, you are steeling their money.Its just like, at the end of the month, going and taking someones pay cheque for a job someone else has done, it really is no beter than steeling.

Its true, not that i mean to be offensive, or think that teachers should do extreme things like beat chilren, but it has gone too far!i mean, it has got to the point, where a teacher can do something like help a child up off the ground, then be accused of sexual harassment! Too far, infact, watersports instructors will no require everone wears a life jacket, not necesarily because they help stop people drowning, but because if they grab someone who has fallen into the water, they can be accused of abuse or harassment.I really think the laws should be changed, as people who are completely innocent, ok people, who just do something to help people, or get them out of a tricky situation, are being sprosecuted, for there kindness.

Wow thats cool.but is that just an eception? does anyone know?it is known that things like being bald can potentially be cured, as the gene for growing hair or whatever needs to be turned (back) on. Yet scientists cant yet do that, they know there is a way though.Maybe, if it were true that humans grow another set of teeth in old age, it would be possible to create drugs or hormones or something, which would trigger this to happen early, for people who have very bad teeth, or people who have lost their teeth.

Even if they cant find a cure now, or cant exploit this, with greater understanding in science in years to come, scientists are bound to either cure it, or make drugs to make it have no effect or virtually no effect on people.Science is moving at such an alarming rate. Now long until there isnt anything human kind cant do?

I think they will, i mean, they are clearly doing something illegal.i have noticed that a lot of videos have been removed due to copyright violations.infact, i never use youtube any more, not because they got rid of lots of videos, but because removed videos, but because the videos load, and start to buffer, before you find out "this video i no longer available"Meaning, you may have to look at ten different vides, to find one that is actually there.I dont think it is fair to say that google dont care.If you imagine the huge amount of videos uploaded every day, it would not be possible, or plausible to have them all checked before upload, as they probably have atleast a week of video uploaded every day (most likely more)

I think you have tried to include too much.I often do things like this. it looks like you have tried to cram in, as much as you can, to make the site powerful, informative, and easy to use. but most of the time. its goes wrong, stick with something simple.Look at the google homepage for example, a picture, on a white background, yet still the most popular search engine ever made.The truth is, that your average user, probably wont even notice the effort you have put into making everything look nice, and having extra features for making thing work well.You really want a non frames page, with a simple abackground, a few links at the top or the side, a search bar, and a nice, quick, not-flooded-with-text homepage.

Yes, as the amount of web hijacking continues to rise at an alarming rate, new security protocols and such are being created constantly. i have seen that used a lot, and it is very easy in languages such as CGI to make sure the connection is HTTPS before proceeding to do anything.

You cant do it with either of those languages really, your best bet is Java, which you can use on a site, or flash. Java will most likely be eisier to make on in, unless you want to do something really stramge.On thing i have seen done, is to use a windows media player plugin, positioned inside a border or with things positioned over it, to make it look good.

I have been interested in programming all my life, when i want to learn a new language, i buy a couple of books about it, and then look up anything i still want to know on the web.The site i used a lot for HTML learning was w3schools.com which was quite useful, but i find books can be a lot more useful.learning HTML was just like learning any other programing language, just really easy!
