Tizag rocks! For me it's the best site for a newbie to start. I am going through their tutorials and PHP seems very easy when you learn it from Tizag.com I also know w3schools is another good site but I haven't tried it.

Php Wysiwyg Is there anything like that?
kudmus replied to kudmus's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey guys. Thanks for all those replies. Maybe I'm not being clear. What I need is a WYSIWYG that has no problem with PHP code. I need something that can let my code alone and show all the other HTML parts perfectly as they are going to appear in the browser. Maybe on the code part it can just show an image to show that "There is an object here that I can't desplay". I want all the the other page content in their correct positions. Even the div containing PHP code should be the right size. Tell me again there is nothing like that. FCKeditor does. I already have XAMPP installed and running perfectly on my rig. -
I have noticed a problem with Dreamweaver CS3 when I try to edit a page with php content. I don't know if it's me or dreamweaver but it usual fails to work. For some time now I have I have been using text editors to edit every page that has some PHP and I'm not enjoying that. Is there a PHP editor that can edit a PHP page the way we edit HTMLs in dreamweaver. Imean edit something that u r actually looking at rendered the way it is going to look in a browser. I've Googled around but all I can get is discouragement. The guys here seem to think it's impossible. I found FCKeditor but I couldn't use it. It displays a blank page. I don't know if it's the activeX control or what. Is everyone sure that this is impossible?

I love Google and it pains me a lot to think that this giant has the potential to be a much hated giant bent on monopolising the IT world. They haven't shown those signs yet but some one has wrote some thing that got me thinking. In a blog titled Can Google not do evil? these guys said I really think Google has more than what takes to become a monster. If the collaborations they've had with China are anything to go by, really see that looming. With instant-on machine promising to come sooner than we expected Google can become the ruler because of all those online things it already is developing. They have an online office suite and who knows, they might be working towards an online OS. Is there anyone else who is as worried as I am?

The more we loose wisdom the more we think our reasoning power is improving. When you start to think like marvreix ask yourself what the devil was thinking when he did something stupid that made him lose his position in heaven. I think when it comes to God, Hell, eternal life, Paradise and all those things we just have to believe. Know one can really know. We just need to pray to God that he opens our spiritual eyes so that we can make wise decisions on what to believe in.

Couldnt agree more. The address bar showed others the future of browsing. Everyone is going to be doing that. That thing is very handy. Those who were saying it's time for another browser, are you happy now that Chrome is around? Those who say FF3 sucks, tell me who doesn't. IE and Safari suck more! Opera is nothing. It has already been overtaken by the bug ridden Chrome in it's first week. Those who use Opera are doing it for the sake of charity or to frustrate MS and Mozilla. I do like the torrent downloader though. Yes everyone wants beautiful things but I don't think it makes sense to say a browser sucks just because the default skin is ugly. About the crashes I just think some of you guys are unfortunate coz I have used FF3 since the download day but it only crashed less than 5 times.

I was going to agree with you totally but I think we'll only agree on the issue of the difference in frequencies. This can be very difficult because there cannot be two screws with the same resonant frequency. I'm sure even the same screw will change resonant frequency as it loosens. Lets just say the inventor knows how to make the gadget detect the frequency needed. About spinning it I asked my self what would happen if the frequency was to be slightly higher than the one needed. Or slightly lower. What would happen if the wave is made in such a way that the 'ridges'-or whatever you call them- are higher than the the depth of the troughs? By this I mean we have for example a wave like the graph of f(X)=sinx+a where a is a constant. I have told myself not to use the word 'impossible' too much coz my girlfriend has embarrassed me many times.

Good idea but I would place that second to F1. I haven't enjoyed any sport like I like F1. The sport needs a lot of skill, strategy, planning, ethics, research and most of all politics. It's fun on the circuit and behind the scenes. Everyday there is a lot of news about Formula1.

World's Ugliest Website I believe I have found it
kudmus replied to BooZker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The worst thing about this whole thing is the the website is about God. I really don't like people who make ugly things for God. I don't like it when Christians make boring music. I don't know how this guy did it but I'm sure this guy know more than I know about making sites. May Jehovah bless his site and deliver it from ugliness and hash criticism. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. -
This is good advice but for someone living in a third world country like mine this will need spiritual help to achieve. Imagine seeing someone hungry every 2mins. Someone without shoes every 30 mins, someone walking to town every 50 metres, a kid asking for money every 10mins. You end up getting used to saying "I don't have.". Sometimes u can go for days without giving anyone anything. Some cases will make u look away and shed secret tears but sharing still is very difficult.

too bad I didn't read the story. I don't know what happened but what I think is people can talk about racism when the accused was not concious about race. Any person can commit a crime against anyone regardless of colour or creed. Usually it's us blacks who cry foul and say the issue is racial. I've seen that in Zimbabwe where a black guy can slap a black guy, no problem. A white guy slaps a black guy the issue is escalated and is referred to as an act driven by racism. A black guy hits a white guy, "Wow! This guy is fearless."

It's very rare for people to look for solutions in the Holy Bible and it's very rare for people to post Godly stuff in a forum like this. Thank you for that and please keep up the good work. I pry God will bless you in everything that you are going to do.

I was a beginner when I started using Dreamweaver CS3. It's one of the easiest ways to start learning html and CSS. I did it by keeping the view in split so that whatever I do in the design mode, I see how the Dreamweaver generates the code. I started using NP++ last year for various things and just fell in love with this thing. Now it's my default application for .ini, . inf, .txt and many others. Did you know that a Microsoft tool is usually the wrong tool for a job?

Someone found something again: Source : DoS vulnerability hits Googles Chrome, crashes with all tabs Although I know all those report are true, I really think you guys being too hard on a very young product. When it was still less than a week old, I'm sure the first IE had more issues than this. Yes this thing is riddled with bugs and all but I don't think it's fair to call it a failure.

I'd be happy if it dies completely. The painful thing is it is not dying. I think Nas is saying Hip Hop is transforming into something so different from what they think is true Hip Hop. True poets or blingy rappers I don't care what the difference is but I don't think Hip Hop is doing this world any good. The damage is more than what these rappers can realise and the most affected people are fellow black brethren. Hip Hop has transformed my brother into a materialistic gangster and I hate it for that. When I was growing up I used to listen to listen to 2pac, Easy E, Ice Cube, Juvenile, Postmen, Dr Dre, Snoop, Nas and some underground artists. Most of those guys were slowly turning me into a racist with what they said was "truth". It may be true. I wouldn't know I'm an African and I've never been to Brooklin but do we need to have people preaching the hate gospel instead of making things right?People who listen to Hip Hop develop a habit of blaming everything on someone or something and usually it's "the police", "the system" or simply "they"Please get some education and stop hanging around corners making streets unsafe for yourselves.

Google Releases Browser Aka Chrome Beta release
kudmus replied to dimumurray's topic in Search Engines
With a browser that was designed to be very different from others you can't think of 100% compatibility. Web developers are definitely going to have compatibility issues to deal with. Until such a time when the browser's developers have found ways to to get around the issues. Being the same Google that has turned a deaf ear to us when we berg for Gmail folders you cannot be sure if they will give a damn about the problems developers will face. I have been using chrome for 12 hours now but I haven't seen any problems yet accept that it looks dangerously beautiful! Isn't it funny that Chrome's dictionary does not have the "google"? It highlights it in red, right click on it you get sugestions like "goggle", "googly", "go ogle" and nothing like " Add to dictionary". It's high time they know they made "google" an English word. google(goo.gle)1. quickly search the web 2. do no(or less) evil 3. bus. make Steve Balmer turn in his sleep 4.math. 10100 -
Google Releases Browser Aka Chrome Beta release
kudmus replied to dimumurray's topic in Search Engines
Who ever said Google can't design? Guys, Google Chrome is a work of art! The thing is beautiful and awesome. For something that is less than a week old, I think this browser will give Firefox a run for their money. This is said to make sure that only tabs crash not the browser itself. I just love this thing. I'm using it right now and I haven't seen any problem. Do you think this was a smart move by google? -
How Long Does It Take For Google To Index Your Website?
kudmus replied to dwolters's topic in Search Engines
Very true! Your site is always on top but have you noticed that it has been suspended.Man you seem to be very good at this. Why don't you post a dummie's guide on the tutorial section. Or better still and such stuff on one of your sites. I'm sure many dummies will appreciate that. -
Free Domain Name Free Domain for Life.
kudmus replied to OpaQue's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
Sounds very beautiful! I've noticed this thread is more than a year old. Does this offer still stand? Has anyone ever been able to post enough material to earn that many credits. -
This is why African leaders are reluctant to oppose Mugabe. He is standing against the British and they see him as a hero for that. This is making it very difficult for us to get rid of him. I usually don't want to look back to the colonial era and start to make judgments based upon what happened in history. It's when I hear people giving us a lot of labels that I start asking myself "Why did they come here to plunder our resources if we were not supposed to have anything to do with them?" This kind of thinking is very wrong but I can't help it. Let's try and understand that whenever someone leaves their country, it's because of something that would push you to do the same thing if you were in their position. The result will definitely hurt someone because humans naturally take care of themselves at the expense of others. When your forefathers came here, they were pushed by things that would make me do the same thing if I were one of them. When people enslaved others they did it because they were born humans(generally selfish, greedy, cruel). We have to forget all that and try to get along, trying to understand the reason behind everything and solving the problems we can solve. No person in his sane mind would sympathize with these evil doers. If the UK is going to do something about these guys let it not affect those who are not bent on evil. There are a lot of Asian and Arab people who migrate for greener pastures to go and work hard and improve their lives and it's very unfair for those guys to be affected because their countries breed terrorists. I wouldn't like it if someone was going to hate me because Mugabe and his cronies are racists.

I really don't understand you guys. Most of you have high spec machines that can handle anything u throw at it. You have very fast internet but u still manage to get bored? Now picture this: I'm still using a P3 with less than half a gig of memory, infraslow broadband internet that is usually down. Every time I try to do something I meet a lot of hurdles. I can't purchase anything online(Mastercard, Visa, Paypal, etc don't work from sanctioned countries). With all that standing in my way I spend 10 hours on my machine and rarely get bored. If I had what most of you guys have I wouldn't be able to spell, let alone define the "bored" .

Can't agree more! If I had money I was going to invest it in domain names. Recently I heard of a guy who sold pizza.com for a ridiculous amount of money. I think when you invest in domain names you just have to find the ones most likely to be liked by many. Try to be very unique and you'll never sell the domain.

I have found two scripts. I found one(shown bellow) here that creates a floating box that will follow you down the page when you scroll. I found another one here that creates a docking menu like that of OSX. floating_box.txt Now I want to combine these effects to create a docking menu that floats and follows you everywhere you scroll to on the page. In the above code I change the div class from floatdiv so that it could use the style in the style.css that came with the docking menu. I then got stuck trying to make both JavaScript scripts work on the same div. I'm appealing to JavaScript gurus out there to help me out on this one.
